CSCsx29696 - percentSUPQ-4-CPUHB_RECV_STARVE - receive queue stuck after throttling on 2960

Hello, I have a problem with Cisco Catalyst 2960 with IOS ver 12.2 (35)SE5.
4 years ago we purchased 10 Cisco Catalyst 2960 with IOS ver 12.2 (35)SE5 and now operating them.
After 4 years of normal working one of Cisco Catalyst 2960 became bad. After switching 2 computers to any FastEthernet interfaces in the console I see:
%SUPQ-4-CPUHB_RECV_STARVE: Still seeing receive queue stuck after throttling
%SUPQ-4-CPUHB_SLOW_TRANSMIT: CPU Heartbeat Tx buffer not returned
I tried to upgrade the IOS on the following: IOS Release 12.2(53)SE1, IOS Release 12.2(55)SE, IOS Release 12.2(55)SE9  but where was NO EFFECT.
Please, tell me what shell I do to fix this problem.
Thank you.
Technical engineer, Tischenko Kirill.

Hello Tischenko,
Trust you are doing great.
Have you tried configuring the workaround mentioned in the Bug CSCed03214
<b>Workaround:</b>
1) Configure the interface for full-duplex instead of half-duplex.
2) Find the interface that is receiving 1-byte frames and correct the wiring and/or
problem on the connected device.
<b>Additional Information:</b>
To find the interface that is receiving 1-byte frames, use the command <b>show platform
port-asic receive port-lockup</b>.
If an interface is configured for 10Mbps half-duplex, but shows non-zero and incrementing
<b>ifix</b> counters, reconfigure the interface and connected device for 10 Mbps
full-duplex, or 100Mbps or 1000Mbps (any duplex).
If an interface is configured for 10Mbps full-duplex, 100Mbps or 1000Mbps (any duplex),
but shows non-zero and incrementing <b>ifix</b> counters, the connected interface
or wiring is likely the cause of the 1-byte frames.

Mohit

    Hello,
yesterday I had same issue on c3750-48PS-E with 12.2(55)SE4.
Single SFP uplink was connected, but no data over it - OSPF change to DOWN => no connectivity
Change of SFP transiever with no result.
After switch reload was all OK
    Thx

I have used Cisco catalyst 3750x, port G1/0/1 and G1/0/2 to connect 2 MPLS lines from ISP
There has been an error to the switch after about 1 day of running; as following:

It has auto-restarted time by time.
I have already replaced another switch but it has the same error.
Please help me to solve the problem. Thanks a lot!

  • HP Laserjet Print Queue Stuck after completed

Hello, I am working with on a client of mine's brand new iMac, and everything is working good except when she prints to her HP Laserjet P2035, the job completes just fine, but sits in the queue for about 20-30 seconds before completing itself. At this point, she cannot print anything else until the queue says its completed. I have updated the HP driver to the newest one, as well as all other system updates. This is very frustrating for her, so I need to find a resolution quickly. Thanks!

The C and C++ standards say that the only thing you can rely on doing in a signal handler is to read and write global volatile variables, abort the program, or call the signal function.
The Unix standard, which applies to Solaris, is more lenient. By default, a signal handler is run on the process stack, although it is possible to specify that a given signal runs on a different stack. If the stack actually used has enough space, you can call functions.
But the Unix standard limits the system functions that you can call. You can call only those system functions that the man page says they reentrant and safe to call from a signal handler. Any function that calls malloc or free is generally not safe, and I/O routines often involve calls to malloc or free.

  • UCCX Position in Queue issues after RNA

Hello, we have a script using postion in queue logic. I tested the script and everything looked well however, this past month we have had complaints that callers were moving positions. They would go from 5 to 15 to 6. This is random and does not always happen. We get a couple of complaints a day. I noticed this first hand when my co-worker called in. Call came into the trigger happend to go RNA on an agent phone...went back to the queue then was stuck in the queue for over an hour and half. I never saw the call in the supervisors software.
Contacted TAC and they say that its an issue with the logic in the script.
I've attached two images of the queue section of the script. We have it play a begining queue prompt (you are) then the position prompt (first) end queue promt (in line for your call to be answered.
Any suggestions we would be grateful...
    UCCX
    System version: 8.5.1.11003-32
    Thanks....

For starters, if the transfer into VM fails, the user will have been dequeued, you wouldn't see them in Supervisor Desktop, and they would continue to loop around and receive queue treatment.
I would always recommend scripting for these types of contingencies.  I.e., If VM is down or all ports are busy, don't dequeue the caller and keep them queued.
This is also achievable without losing the caller's PIQ because you do not need to dequeue manually, a sucessful Redirect will dequeue automatically.

Can you explain why it takes so long the message to picked up and processed from the queue. All messages will be processed but the performance is unacceptable. No errors are found in SMQ2.

    Hi,
It looks like msgs take very long time to be picked up from the queue(s) ! Is there enough threads allocated (according to SAP recommendations, which I can't remember) ?
How many system & application threads have been allocated ?

  • Experiencing issues sending/receiving MMS messages after updating to iOS 6

I, like so many others, have been experiencing problems sending/receiving MMS messages after updating to iOS 6.  Other than that, I really do like the new update.  I have an iPhone 4S with Verizon.  I have been to Verizon, and the issue is not with my plan; it is definitely with the update.  My friend updated her phone also, but her phone is just the iPhone 4.  She does not experience these issues.  Is Apple aware and trying to fix the problem?  It is soooo frustrating!  I cannot send/receive picture messages, nor can I send/receive group messages.  ---  Has anyone come up with a solution to fix it yet, or is it something that Apple will have to do?
    Thanks in advance.

I also am having the same problem. I can't send a pic to anyone who doesn't have iMessage. Also, I don't always get the alert when I have a new message. I never had this problem before I updated to IOS 6. I have AT&amp;T &amp; an iphone4. It's isn't jail broken. I've been reading forums for a couple weeks now and apparently it has something to do with the apn. And I don't know how or even if I can change it. Then I also read it might have something to do with a damaged SIM card. And it might have been damaged when we updated. But those are just theories.

  • Unable to send or receive text messages after updating iOS to 7.0.2

I am unable to send or receive text messages aftering updating to iOS 7.02. I have an iPhone 4S. I have run all the suggested troubleshooting still can't text. I have been to my carrier, AT&T, there is no issue with my account. AT&T suggested resetting the phone to factory defaults (thereby wiping it clean). I am trying to avoid that as I had issues with transferring data & contacts before. Any one have a work around?

    Try this iMessage workaround
Look for a fix by Apple by the end of the week.....

  • Interactive Gantt chart - how to receive updated XML after user changes

    Hello,
I failed to receive changed XML after user updates.

Then I run my example application, press standard "Save" button in Gantt chart control.
After that my XML in context changes, but it's incorrect. There is no <graph> tag at all - this tag should contain all significant parameters of the chart.
    The resulting XML below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    <SAPJNetData build="9295" date="04-Aug-2010 10:19:13" host="localhost" version="1.1247">

    <GraphGantt version="1.1247"/>
    </SAPJNetData>
All the chart in fact has completely disappeared. There is nothing left but file header.
The question: How to get XML with all user changes back from the Gantt chart control?

    Long time, hah..
Anyways thanks to behave like a responsible person on SCN and taking care of your threads..

    Hi Suraj,
I would prefer to discuss the problems in the forum. There are maybe other that have the same problem and they could then participate from the discussion.
    No back to your problem:
As fare as I know there is no build in function to read directly from file system.
MPL is no longer supported in this product and this was the only module for reading the file system.
You have to develop an application to fetch the files form the file system or you must use an Enterprise Service Bus
    like OSB or ServiceMix.
To enable the system for the IMD import you have to publish a Business Object or Script via XAI Inbound service.
The recommended way is to use the D1-IMDSeeder BO.
There is a chapter in the MDM Configuration Guide, explaining how to setup the XAI Inbound service.
There is also a service script available. The advantage of the service script is, that you can import IMDs for more than on device (D1-IMDEvtUpl and DM-IMDEvtUpl). The DM-IMDEvtUpl is eventually only in the demo database available.
The disadvantage of the IMDSeeder is, that you have to setup a lot of configurations in the system. There is another thread in the forum explaining the setup.
My preferred way is to use the D1-InitialLoadIMDScalar or D1-InitialLoadIMDInterval BO but you have to do a lot of things by your own.

We have a problem on the ECC side, on outbound asynchronous proxies. Sometimes a new queue appears on SMQ2 there with name "", and with status "STOP". At this time, all other queues stuck with STOP status... the only way of resetting all those queues to RUNNING state again is to delete the queue named as ""...
Some of you has any idea how this queue "*" appears there and stop all other queues?
    thanks

    Hi Ravi,
Is not only about one queue stopped... the problem is this queue named ""... with status STOP, all other queues stops too with it. The only way to make things work again is to delete the queue named as ""... the problem is to discover what or who is creating this stupid "*" queue. I think that this is a procedural error on datacenter, but they are saying is not the case... I'm investigating, but if someone else has any idea about I would appreciate
    thanks!

  • How do I get the contact photo to full screen size when receiving a call after iOs 7.1 update..?

how do Iget the contact photo to full screen size when receiving a call after iOs 7.1 update..?

I went to the link. I selected iPHONE.  There was a big iPhone icon above the comment box -- so I was absolutely, positively on the right page.  I spent five minutes or so crafting a constructive comment as to why I wanted the full photo feature back on incoming calls on iOS7.  Then...i noticed the box below the comment area asked 'What operating system are you on?'.  And the drop down selection list included every operating system since Job's garage days -- but not one single iOS entry.  No iOS entries on an iphone page.  Unless I'm missing something, I think anyone writing a feedback comment is wasting his/her time.
