  • Xboxdrv controller not detected by Escape Goat 2

I'm trying to use the xboxdrv driver (for my xbox 360 controller) instead of the xpad driver and I'm having some issues with it not being detected by Escape Goat 2. Here are my results:
Steam + Escape Goat 2 + Xpad = Controller detected and works fine
(i.e. ran escape goat 2 from steam)
Steam + Big picture mode + xboxdrv = works fine
Steam + other linux games (e.g. towerfall ascension) + xboxdrv = works fine
Steam + Escape Goat 2 + xboxdrv = controller not detected
Escape Goat 2 + xboxdrv = works fine
(i.e. ran escape goat 2 from outside of steam)
I think the last result is most interesting.
Any ideas on why it's not being detected when run via steam?

  • Ide 2 controller not detect

hi, THIS IS NOT MSI PRODUCT,BUT  I NEED YOUR HELP ,AND IDEA
my intel SE440BX ide 2 cannot detect my cd-rom,and i try to read from windows(windows 98SE)device manager the secondary ide controller not detect, but at cMOS the both of ide was enable ,the CDROM is working ,pls help me.
IF can't use ,do your know the configure the creative Sound blaster 16(CT2910)the IDE port, can your show the method

does the cd-rom detect on bootup when you set the secondary master/slave to auto-detect?
When you say that the secondary ide not detect in windows, do you mean that you only get a primary ide controller?  Try going into the Main IDE controller properties (can't remember what it's called in 98), and make sure that both ide channels are enabled, this is done in device manager, it's in the same section as the primary/secondary ide controller's are.

  • Command sh controller to detect line speed

If I perform the following command on a cisco 72xx series, I get an output which is showing me the speed the serial port is getting from the Csu/dsu.
The same command performed on the cisco 17xx; 18xx;26xx;28xx series never showes the clockrate. Is it impossible to get it or there is another way? Since sometimes Ptt set wrong speed on the csu/dsu it could be important check on the router which speed is detecting

  • Initio INI-9090U SCSI controller not detected

I'm having a problem with my G4 and it detecting my Initio INI-9090U controller. From what I've read so far, it doesn't look promising to get it running on OSX 10.3.9. I'm new to MAC (PC tech) but I am getting around and feel more comfortable with using it. Initio is not clear on how to update the firmware if at all possble within 10.3.9. I have tried updating the firmware witn 0S 9.1 with no luck yet.
    http://www.initio.com/support/index-download.htm
On a side note, I have an Advansys ABP-915 that is MAC compatible but can't get that to run either. It looks like this one first needs a firmware update too. I ran there install app and it loaded a bunch of drivers and utilities on the root of my startup disk (chosen localtion) but none of the utilities seem to be correct for the card I have.
To explain before anyone asks, I am not really that interested in buying a new card. The G4 was given to me from work for learning opportunities in my spare time. I will admit this, its been fun so far.
    Any help would be appriciated.

I don't have URLs, but a number of SCSI cards don't detect well. As an example, if I open System Profiler, it doesn't detect the card or drives attached to it. At least in the "bus" section, in the PCI card section it does see the card (Adaptec 2906)
But, the drives mount at boot and Disk Utility see's the drives and the drives mount and dismount just fine.
A lot of these cards (like mine) will NOT support booting from SCSI for that reason.
I hope this is a little help

  • Watchdog reset in WLC 5508 7.4.100.60

    Hi ,
Last week we found that primary WLC was hanged so we need to reboot it.
    As per logs:
    Last Reset....................................... Watchdog reset
    We are using 7.4.100.60.
Any idea what could be the root cause.
    Regards,

Check your WLC serial number as well, if it starts FCW1614 or later then it may be due to this bug as well.
    CSCul68057
    Symptom:
Wireless LAN Controller may encounter unexpected reload without crash file or coredump.
Console log output may include "reaperWatcher rebooting" and "!!!!! Watchdog detected LOCKUP !!!!!",
and there may be "#OSAPI-2-REAPER_WATCHER_INFO" message in syslog.
    Conditions:
    5508, 2504 or WiSM2 manufactured after April 2012.
    Affected S/N: FCW1614xxxx and later
This is due to incompatibility of previous driver with some of the flash components used after that date
    Workaround:
None, upgrade to one of the recommended software versions
Anyway your choices are very limited now, only 3 WLC software codes supported by Cisco 7.0.250.0(7.0MR5), 7.4.121.0 (7.4MR2) and 7.6.101.x(7.6MR1). So upgrade to 7.4.121.0 code as that is the highly recommended code at the moment. See below for more details
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-40178
I would suggest to go for FUS 1.9.0.0 as well.

  • X4600 M2 crashes under load

    Hello,
I've got x4600 M2 with 256GB of memory and 8 dual-core Opterons, all parts officialy supported. I'm running SLES10 and SLES10sp1 on it, also certified to run properly. The problem is that when running heavy computations (100% of all cpu's and 95% of memory) it does not survive for more than hour. The problem is easy to replicate (boot the system up, run anything resource-hungry, wait 40-60 minutes, have system hanged), but hard to diagnose - these is no single chunk of data. When working interactively system chokes down for a minute and later on freezes completely with no single message. BMC also says that everything is ok. I was able to catch error message only once making 20 hangs. It's included below.
The only way to run it stable I found is to run non-smp kernel. Having single core "fixes" things - 256 gb of memory is still available, but 15 cores are lost then.
Any idea what the cause may be?
    Regards,
    nobody12345

I've seen this type of error on dual core CPUs running at full (100%) load. The system will hang with a CPU context corrupt error. Typically, this error is due to
bad memory, not a bad CPU, but since you say that when you run in single CPU mode, everything "works", I'd suspect a bad CPU.Well, it "works" the way that it doesn't crash. It's hard to stress the system as much as with 16 cpu's having one core only, so this option can't excluded. I even found one insignificant memory module with correctable ecc and took affected pair out. No change at all. As for cpu context corrupt - that was the first thing which came into my mind after seeing error data, but two cores in separate cpu's wouldn't rather crash in the same moment. I have plans to run fascist cpu check anyway.
I'd suggest booting the SUN Diag CD that came with the system and doing an in depth memory and CPU test.Just booting.
In addition, there is a very nice program called "stress" that will simulate your load conditions and provide diagnostic output. This tool has proved to be very
helpful. You seem to be more experienced that me here - if I bind it to specific core and start cycling it at 100%, it won't generate many context switches, right? Having 15 unused cores would rather guarantee having this one left in peace.
You may also want to check the TOY clock on the x4600 motherboard to make sure it is properly set. I've seen conditions where the system clock becomes
so unsynched from the TOY clock that system calls fail. Boot into the BIOS to set the TOY clock. Also, make sure your NTP server setttings are properly
configured. Will do with next downtime. Which is, considering constant crashes, probably tomorrow.
One last thing... when Linux begins to run out of memory (as you say, the app takes 95% of memory), the kernel starts to kill off system level
processes/daemons, one of which is ntpd. I'd suggest running your application to use less memory if possible, and see if it runs properly. My suggestion
would be to boot the kernel, then see what amount of memory is mapped by the kernel without any apps running. Then subtract that from the total memory.
The 'free' command is useful for this (or 'cat /proc/meminfo').Ntp is always ok. After an hour it usually corrects 1.2s, so clock source is not too reliable, but ntp keeps it under control until I kill the server.
Oh.... one more last thing... if the kernel needs to swap out the 95% memory process, does it have sufficient swap to do so? This could also create an issue. It does not for sure. Also kswapd's are very active, up to 100% cpu sometimes. Does it mean that going out of memory causes os crashes? I've seen such situation many times - kernel is expected to kill few processes and recover. And it does on all other machines (IMB servers, blades etc.) I don't care what it kills at the moment, as it simply freezes.
I'll stress the system cpu by cpu in the weekend. If you know any way to make it really proper way I'd gladly hear your advice. Your help is very appreciated BTW.

  • Error detecting promise sata controller on kt4 ultra

    Hello,
I've searched the forum and "the rest" of the internet without finding a solution to my problem.
The problem is: Normally when you boot the kt4-ultra you will have a message saying "FastTrack 376(tm) Bios version 1.00.0.18(c)2002-2005 Promise Technology, Inc." and then either No drive attached to FastTrack Controller, The BIOS is not installed or information about your HDD configuration.
In my case sometimes without any reasonable explaination my computer won't detect the promise fasttrak controller AT ALL! It just jumps right over it, as it didn't excists. This is very strange since it's enabled in the BÌOS settings and it could be detected at the next reboot, or in many cases it wont be detected again for several days
As far as I can see it has nothing to do with the harddrives connected to it, as it happens anyway either with a SATA disk connected, IDE disk or no disks at all....
If anyone could help me out with this problem I'll be very gratefull!

I've litary tried every possible combination. The problem remains even with no disks or CD/DVD drives installed on the Fasttrak controller or IDE 1/2. Sometimes the controller is detected, sometimes not.
I should point out that if the controller is detected it always find my HDD who's connected to it and it works fine in Windows. But if it's not detected Windows will find a new hardware and try to install drivers to it, but it won't work cause the hardware is reporting an error and Windows will ofcourse not find a disk....

What operative system do you have? On a quick search I found mostly linux related problems, though I was not too thorough.
I have Windows XP, but I don't think it matters what OS i'm running.
On the searched I've done Im only finding Linux and compability related problems...
I've had this problem for over 6 months now and I'm getting a BIT tired the shitty controller....

  • Dead controller and no sleep

A few weeks ago my g4 Quicksilver with Apple Studio display would shut off display and then power down the hard drive per the energy saver settings and work appropriately. Then the display would shut off and the hard drive would power down and then power back up immediately and not sleep, but eventually would go to sleep just leaving it alone, or a few tries from the Apple menu. Now the g4 will not sleep at all from energy saver or the Apple menu.
I am getting this from the console system log:
    Nov 24 15:16:23 QUICKSILVER kernel[0]: USBF: 1351.584 AppleUSBOHCI[0x18c8800] Watchdog detected dead controller (hcca #: 11745, hc #: 63458)
Is there a workaround/fix for this?

  • Dead USB controller after waking up from sleep

    Hi,
I posted this a while back but the issue is still unresolved. I am experiencing USB port sleep issues after upgrading to Tiger (currently running 10.4.8). Sometimes the build-in USB port that has my keyboard connected to literally wakes up dead from sleep. Here is the error message from the Console log
    (XX-Computer kernel[0]: USBF: 24445.528 AppleUSBOHCI[0x15ab800] Watchdog detected dead controller (hcca #: 56759, hc #: 64465).
This happens with no set pattern, sometimes it wakes up fine, other times the port is dead. A restart is required to bring it back to life.
Any ideas why this is happening? If I plug in my keyboard to the other USB 1.1 port everything works fine (the port remains dead until the next restart). I also have a USB2 PCI card that works with the keyboard without any dead port issues but I can't use it for waking the computer (does not trigger wake up), but I simply prefer to use one of the equipped USB ports for my keyboard.
I have 2 external FireWire HD's connected at times, one daisy-chained to an external FireWire CD Burner. I have a USB 1.1 hub connected to the other equipped USB 1.1 port, and a USB 2 PCI card installed.
I run system maintenance tasks frequently (Onyx) and repair permissions prior and post SW installs and updates.
    Thanks for any input.

It seems that this problem is unique to my system. I am hoping that one of the Mac Guru's will have at least a pointer in the right direction.
    Thanks.

  • [SOLVED] Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, how to make it work?

How can I get this to work under Arch? the controller gets detected at /dev/input/js0 and I if cat the file I get a bunch of symbols (which I read that means it works).
However, I can make it work with anything, am I missing something?
It even gets detected as: Bus 004 Device 003: ID 045e:0719 Microsoft Corp. Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter
The light on the controller keeps blinking but thats normal also.
If anyone can help out with this I would really appreciate it.
    thanks for the help

Already read that but didn't help. However I found the problem. Controller wouldn't sync with the wireless receiver. I ended up using xboxdrv userspace driver and after sync it worked like a charm, even the xbox light stops blinking and stays fixed on the player 1
    thanks for the help

  • [SOLVED] Booting from Asus U3S6 SATA Controller fails

Since the SATA controllers on my mainboard stopped working yesterday, I bought a Asus U3S6 Controller in the hope to work around the problem in this way. The drive is detected by the BIOS and GRUB is invoked correctly. However, when I try to load the kernel, I get following message:
    Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/sdb3 ...
ERROR: Unable to find root device '/dev/sdb3'.
You are being dropped to a recovery shell
In the recovery shell I cannot find any disk device under /dev/. Is this kind of booting supposed to work? When is the PCI controller actually detected and activated by the kernel?
    Any help appreciated!
Last edited by smyp (2014-02-01 07:53:22)

    I solved the problem.
I used used the chroot guide to modify my environment:
I had to add ahci to the list of modules in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and rebuild it with
    mkinitcpio -p linux
This will then load the AHCI module at boot time and enable the SATA devices.

  • How to configure HA between local controller and remote controller in DC

    Good day,
If I have two Cisco 5508 Controllers, running Software version 7.4, how would my failover happen when the AP's run in local mode, and the local controller fail, and you configured your remote controller as your secondary controller.  Question is, will the APs automatically convert to FlexConnect mode when they failover to the remote controller in the DC?  I know you cannot configure HA as the controllers have to be connected with ethernet copper cable on the redundancy port, giving you a distance limitation of 100m.
    Thank you in advance
    Adrian

    Hello ,
As per your query i can suggest you the following solution-
In wireless network deployments that run controller versions earlier than 5.0, when a controller goes down, it takes a long time for all the APs and the associated clients to move to a backup controller and for wireless service to resume.
The features discussed in the document are implemented on the controller CLI in WLC software release 5.0 in order to decrease the time that it takes for access points and their associated clients to move to a backup controller and for wireless service to resume after a controller goes down:
In order to reduce the controller failure detection time, you can configure the heartbeat interval between the controller and access point with a smaller timeout value.
In addition to the option to configure primary, secondary, and tertiary controllers for a specific access point, you can now also configure primary and secondary backup controllers for a specific controller. If the local controller of the access point fails, it chooses an available controller from the backup controller list in this order:
    •o primary
    •o secondary
    •o tertiary
    •o primary backup
    •o secondary backup
The access point maintains a list of backup controllers and periodically sends primary discovery requests to each entry on the list. You can now configure a primary discovery request timer in order to specify the amount of time that a controller has to respond to the discovery request of the access point before the access point assumes that the controller cannot be joined and waits for a discovery response from the next controller in the list.
    Hope this will help you.

  • K9A2 Platinum BSOD with SATA LH-20A1L; cant detect eSATA in XP

Hey everyone, I need some assistance, please.
I am building two identical systems and I am having the same issues with both. I have rotated components and get the same results. Here's what I bought from Newegg:
    K9A2 Platinum
    Phenom 9600 Black Edition
    4GB(2x2GB) G Skill DDR2 1000 running dual channel
    Sapphire Radeon HD3650 512MB
    WD Caviar SE 500GB 7200RPM 3.0 SATA  x3
    Lite-On LH-20A1L-05 SATA
    CoolerMaster Case
    Corsair vx550w psu
    Win XP pro 32 bit
So I had a little trouble getting the raid array built with the two WD 500GB drives but I resolved it by disabling the extra Raid control function in the BIOS. So I got a raid 1 array on two of the connections, the SATA optical drive on another, and the eSATA port that  is on the case plugged into the fourth purple connection. Nothing is plugged in to the two red connections. All my issues seem to regard the SATA controller in some way.
The first issue is that whenever I open and the close the cd tray, XP BSDs and says there was an IRQ error. I have installed all updates for windows and the firmware is current on the drive. I tried putting an IDE optical drive in and did not receive the error. I'll probably stand the systems up with the IDE optical drives but I eventually want to get the SATA in there due to the high amount of burning that will be done.
My second problem is with the eSATA connection. I have the third WD500 in an external enclosure that will connect via USB but not through the eSATA cable. I have checked disk management and nothing.
Again I have two of the identical setups and I have been trying different variations of BIOS settings and have not had much luck. I do want to commet about the BIOS though. I'm not sure why, but sometimes some of the settings seem to change without my input. I'm not sure if this is because I am changing on thing and that automatically changes some other setting... anyway, I would be very grateful to anyone that can help me with any of these issues. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the quick response. I appreciate the help.
one question though. If the eSATA has to be on the promise then if I moved my two hard drives I would lose that function. So, I decided to move the optical drive and the eSATA to the promise and left the RAID set on the SB600. Enabed the extra raid controller, It detected the drives and booted windows fine, only now there is no optical drive in my computer or disk management. The optical drive is deteced by the raid controller and shows as a boot option in the BIOS, just won't show in windows. ALso the eSATA still doesn't show.
I'm going to try a few different configurations and see if I can get some forward momentum built here. thanks for the advice.
