CSM: Adding 7609 and ASA
Hi,
we have a CSM server running 3.3.1 version.
We are trying to add the 2 following chassis:
7609S running 12.2(33)SRB5A
7609 running 12.2(33)SXH6
Both devices are accepting SSH and telnet connections from the CSM server. Credentials are OK.
From what I see here, those releases are fully supported by CSM 3.3.1. But, when I am trying to import any of these, I have an unknown error showing up. I attached an image showing the error message. I also included a text file, which is an extract of vmssharedsvcs.log but I don't understand a word out of it
I don't know if you guys have any idea why this is happening?
Different issue: we have a Cisco ASA running 8.2(1). This time, the import is fine, but we have a number of warnings "Policy discovery does not support the following CLI in your configuration". Why is this happening while the ASA version is supposed to be fully supported by CSM?

For the AS, CSM will have some minor commands that it will still not support, so it is normal to have these warning there even thoug that ASA version is fully supported.
For CSM I would suggest opening a case with TAC to have it looked at.

I currently try to add a dynamic NAT rule into CSM 4.4 for a ASA 8.3 device, but I fails at the deployment with the error message:
Failed to generate delta config
The following commands have not been recognized by the Configuration Parser:

(inside,outside) source dynamic range-192.168.0.0_24 range-100.0.0.1_32 destination static any any
So let's asume we use the internal IP Range for the users is 192.168.0.0/24 and we received the public IP Address 100.0.0.1/32 from our ISP.
How do I have to do a normal dynamic NAT in CSM 4.4 for this case?
Traffic comes from inside and has to leave the outside with the changed source IP.
I would really appreciate a screenshot from CSM 4.4 which shows the correctly filled fields.

Not familiar with SIP so can't say for sure about that in terms of ports but some comments -
1) you don't show other interfaces but presumably the LAN interface(s) has "ip nat inside" enabled
2) the PBX subnet is 10.1.1.0/24 yet your static NATs are referring to 10.18.21.2 ?
3) following on from 2) your PBX_SUBNET acl is wrong, it should be -
ip access-list extended PBX_SUBNET
permit ip 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 any <-- note the last octet of the wildcard mask is 255.
Edit - also assuming that any internal subnets not directy connected to the router have routes setup for them so you router knows how to get to them.

My customer is planning on migrating a portion of its installed ASAs to the lates 8.0 code. Also, they are currently managing this devices with CSM 3.1.
The issue here is that in the Supported Software docummentation for 3.1, the ASA version 8.0 is not mentioned. There are several reasons for them to move to the next version but they wonder what will be the effects of CSM not supporting the new code.
Providing that my sources are right and 8.0 is not supported, does anyone know any known workaround?I was able to connect our ASA 5540 with 8.0.3-6 code. I have two other ones I am trying to connect via port 4443 and having an issue but I think it is a port 4443 and if I used port 443 it would work.

VPN with Cisco 877 and ASA 5505

this is my scenario :
remote clients ----> Internet----> Cisco 877---> ASA5505---->LAN
i would like to allow remote users to connect to my LAN to chek their mails and work as they are in the office. Actually i have configured Cisco877 as VPN Server this is working Fine. but now i'm trying to use ASA with the router because it permit 25 connections at the same time.
i'm connected to internet using a public ISDN IP.i have heard that i need a second IP adresse for ASA ! and the ASA must act as VPN server and the router as Client, is that right ?
if i need to configure the link between the router and ASA how can i do it ? i can't find any document or example in the net :/
please i need your support to make this dream real lol.

many thanks.ASA need public ip address that is sure and also ASA acts as vpn. Client server will be remote not router. For that you can use any Ethernet. Trying to make a remote VPN connection via the cisco client, authenticate against an RSA Secure Token server and provide the client an IP address via DHCP.

Allow user to fill in a fillable pdf but disallow adding comments and annotation
Hi there. I have a fillable pdf created by livecycle designer. I want to let users fill in the form but prevant them adding comments and annotatons to the form. I cannot reset the above requirements in form property - form security if I have already set a password and allowed user to fill in the form. Can I user javascript to that effect during the document loading?

If you save the form as a Dynamic XML Form in the save-as dialogue, then the user will not be able to apply comments. They can only do this in flat or static PDF forms.

In adobe reader app on iPad, I have a PDF document that added notes and comments to. Once I left the document and returned to it, the notes and comments were gone. Where are they? I clicked "save" and "done" buttons after I entered text.
The application auto-saves your input when you close the document. If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible). Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

I've added songs and vedios to iTunes in my computer then I synchronise it with my Ipad3 ..... For the songs it was OK but for the vedios I got a message that some format are not supported then the screen became black with no video or sound ....how can I get back the vedios...I'm afraid to make reset to the iPad otherwise I'll loose all the applications and media.. First of all - depending upon how you define resetting the iPad - you will not lose anything. If you erase all contents and settings - then you will lose everything. Don't do that!
If the videos are not in the correct format - launch iTunes on your computer. Click on one of the videos in your iTunes library in order to select it. Then go to Advanced>Create iPad or Apple TV version and see if the video will convert. Do the same for the other videos and then select those to sync again with the iPad.
To get the videos app working again, first quit it completely and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If the videos app still doesn't work, try this.
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. when the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK. -
Adding images and buttons without a frame appearing
I would like to add images to some of my pages without having them appear in a frame. I would like to place some transparent gifs on the page to use as buttons for hyperlinks. I would also like to have some photos (with transparent backgrounds that appear on the page and are not surrounded by a picture frame. Any Suggestions
iWeb seems to default to stroking newly-added images and shapes. Pages (iWeb's close relation) includes a way to change the default appearance, but I can't find anything similar in iWeb. You can, of course, remove the stroke using the Graphic Inspector (just set Stroke to None). Transparency in gifs and photo images is supported. Just drag into iWeb or use Insert > Choose... Again, remove the stroke if this appears.

Adding keywords and description to filename
I've built myself an online gallery system to let my clients view and purchase their photos online. To streamline my workflow, the script that imports my photos and resizes them for web display will also parse the file name to pull out a description and tags (keywords). So I went in and added descriptions and keywords to a few test images and went to save them out to try running through the script, but when trying to save from Camera Raw neither keywords nor description were available to add to the jpg file name. I figured I could get around this by simply using Bridge to rename the NEF files using the keywords and description, then I could just have CR save the jpgs using the current filename, but even Bridge doesn't seem to be able to access this metadata (and this would add addition time to the process anyway).
I know I can work around this by simply batch renaming the sets of files that I would otherwise add this metadata to, and creating the file names manually before export, but that would add a fair amount of time into the process and eliminates me being able to use keywords in Bridge. I work two jobs right now and anything I can do to my workflow to shave precious minutes off of it is huge to me.
So I guess my questions are:
1) Is it possible to get keywords and the description into my filenames (without spending more time than this process was designed to save)?
2) If not, what's the point of having that metadata?
3) Is this functionality available in a newer version of PS?
I'm using Photoshop CS3 and the format my final JPG files need to have is: "[4 digit sequence number]_[Description]_[comma delimited keyword list].jpg"

No, you can't use Batch Rename to add keywords to files, i was thinking about metadata in general. The point of keywords is that you can search images for keywords and you can also use the Filter panel to show only images that contain certain keywords.

If the "recently added" playlist is no longer visible under your lists of playlists, you can just make a new one and set it with the parameters below.
In iTunes, go to File, New Smart Playlist. In the dialog box that appears, change the settings to look like the one in the screen grab:
These are the exact settings from my default recently added smart playlist. Customize to your liking.

This is most likely an issue with Apple's iOS Mail program's.
I think you are opening your modified PDF in Apple built-in PDF Preview. Apple's code does not properly draw the comments, but if you look at the PDF in virtually any other PDF application that isn't just using Apple''s code, or on any desktop computer, you will see the comments you've added.

Added selectionAnchorIndex and selectionActiveIndex getters to RichEditableTextAccImpl and SkinnableTextBaseAccImpl. The presence of these getters is supposed to make Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0 able to support text-selection-accessibility for TLF-based text; they are the ActionScript side of the GetSelection() method in Adobe's ISimpleTextSelection COM interface for screen readers like JAWS.
Although Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0 are adding a flash.accessibility.ISimpleTextSelection interface to formalize these getters, we want to be able to compile against the playerglobal.swc for Player 10.0 (or airglobal.swc for AIR 1.5). We could define our own copy of this interface in Flex, but it isn't necessary because the Player and AIR do not actually look at whether an AccessibilityImplementation class declares that it implements ISimpleTextSelection; they only look at whether an AccessibilityImplementation class has these getters.
This way of doing text-selection-accessibility replaces the ITextSupport interface that was in earlier versions of Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0, including the betas. So you try it you must have a very recent build of 10.1 and 2.0.
