CSS always get sent to the same server.

As part of my testing I am configuring load balancing to two different devices. This way I can quickly identify which real machine I have connected to.
During this test I kept getting redirected to the same machine. The second machine is configured to prompt you for a user/pass before getting on. Is this the issue??? how can I force it to balance to this machine?
Sometimes it would pompt me for user/pass but when I entered it I would still get directed to the first machine...
Any thoughs?

I know I am connecting to the corrent server because one is a Cisco VPN concentrator and the other is an extreme switch - they are totally different pages. I can also get to them by their real IP's.
I have also noticed a delay in getting to the pages of about 7 -10 seconds - it looks like it is doing a DNS lookup even though I am connecting by IP.
Here is the show flows output.

The only ways I know of for email to get sent to an account are:
1. It was addressed to that account. Someone used that email address to send you the email.
2. It was forwarded to that account by the account to which it had been addressed. I am not aware of Mail having this feature but it is often a feature provided by your ISP that you can turn on by logging into your account via the Internet and setting it up. I assume you have not done this, though.
With several email addresses in the same Mail client, you have to be careful which one you are sending from. If you send from the wrong address, any replies will come back to that same address. I make this mistake all too often.

Problems with Sent mail and multiple accounts on the same server

I have 2 different email accounts that are on the same server. Regardless of the account from which I send the email, all of the sent messages end up in the same sent folder. Is there a way to force the sent messages to go into their correct Sent folder?

In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post, to let me see the names of the files and folders present at the root level of the Mail folder.
Before actually posting that information, you may edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you wish to keep private, e.g. you may replace any real username with "username" to hide your real email address if you wish; similarly, you may disguise any domain names you don't want to be revealed. Try to be consistent in how you disguise those details, though, as we may need to refer to them in subsequent posts.
Now, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. With that folder open, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains. Again, you may disguise any mailbox names you wish to keep private. Be careful to not alter any suffixes, though.
Finally, for the two accounts involved in the problem, locate the account folders within ~/Library/Mail/ -- their name begins with the account type (POP, IMAP, Mac), followed by the account username and the incoming mail server. For each account folder, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there.

ACE always balances to the same server :o(

I am new in this area so I followed examples from config guides. The requirement is to balance two real servers in a round-robin fashion but with source IP stickyness (more than one session from the same source IP must be directed to the same real server).
So I put all these commands on the ACE, but it always contacts the same real server although sessions come from two different source IPs:

Yes, I knew that roundrobin is the default predictor. And that is the algorithm I want to be executed. Regarding your queries:
1. At time of thest the customer just had two client laptops from which to try the connections. According to him, connections from both of these two laptops went to the same server (let´s call it server A).
2. I asked the customer to unplug that server (server A) from the switch, and the ACE -as expected- detected it as unavailable. Customer started the connections again from the 2 laptops, and now these connections were redirected to the only available server (server B).
I have not mentioned before that the ACE is actually a 4710 cluster, and working in bridging mode, but I do not think this could be a reason for the problem.
I also asked the customer (I am not in front of the customer installation itself, just remotely configuring the equipments) to try from lets say 3 or 4 different laptops at the same time.
I wanted basically to know that I was not doing anything wrong from a configuration viewpoint.
Something else that might be useful to know -as requested by customer, and configured by me via ACL- is that both real servers can be reached by their real IPs, because from time to time the customer wanst to reach them individually for maintenance purposes. That works OK too.
Please let me know if you want me to gather more information from the environment.

All web sessions (Java) getting started on the cluster server

We have a clustered environment and are using Web Analyzer to access our BI system. I just recently discovered, however, that all of the web sessions are running on the clustered server, which should not be happening.
We use a virtual name when accessing the Web Analyzer URL (because of the clustered environment) but the same thing happens when I use the actual physical name of the primary server (taking out DNS as a possible cause of the problem).
So, my question is, what dictates where the web session gets launched? When looking in AL08 I see all of the web sessions running on our clustered server and their terminal name is the name of the primary server. Conversely, all SAP GUI sessions are running on the primary server, so I know this is just an issue with web/http related sessions.
I thought there might be a java attribute that dictated which server where these sessions got started (such as in the dispatcher config) but I can't find anything, plus I know it's not a load-balancing issue because the web sessions never start on the primary server.

We have two separate instances each running on their own physical server. Thus, it is possible to go to the java port of each individual server; ie. http://server1:port or http://server2:port. The cluster is setup such that either server could go down and the remaining server will keep working.
When I use the virtual server name (which resolves to server1) in the URL, the http session actually always gets sent to server2 with server1 as the terminal name (when looking in sm04 or al08).
1) Clients goes to http://<virtual server name>:port
2) Virtual server name is resolved to server1
3) Server1 receives http request and sends to server2
4) Http session is started on server2 with terminal name of server1
The same thing happens if I use server1 or server2 in the URL as well -- the session always gets sent to server2. I know I do not have a good enough knowledge of how the j2ee dispatcher works - I'm assuming this is the problem.

The text to be included exists separately from yours and is only copied at the time of the output formatting.With the INCLUDE command, you always get the most current version of the required text, since this is only read and inserted during the output formatting.
Syntax:

The name of the text to be inserted must be specified and can have up to a maximum of 70 characters. If the text name contains blanks, then you must put it in quotes as a literal. It can also be specified via a symbol. All further parameters of the INCLUDE command are optional. If they are missing, SAPscript uses default values for them which are based on the respective call environment.

I have always had and used the same Apple ID. I have changed credit card information on my Apple ID account several times though. Does that make a difference when downloading past purchases? I'm very angry at Apple and Itunes because I have been using itunes since 05/2005 and I do not have even close to the amount of songs and albums that I have purchased from itunes. If the credit card info does make a difference even though the account is the same one then itunes needs to make sure to notify users of this because I am not the only one who is wondering this same thing. I have numerous friends who i've talked to about this and they say the same thing, that they too have songs purchased in the past that have disappeared when trying to download past purchased items. It should not make a difference. $12 is $12. Especially since I have ALWAYS used the same account. If itunes does not change their ways, I will not be purchasing songs or anything else for that matter from them ever again. I will go back to buying CDs where I KNOW that it will always be with me and I don't have to deal with this. I will also make sure to find a better more reliable source to download music from and will make sure everyone I know and come in contact with knows what it is and how much better it is than itunes. There should be no experation date on the music I PURCHASE, nor should there be any other little loop holes that allow itunes to rob us of rightfully purchased products. What's the deal itunes??

There should be no issues. Its designed to work like that. You don't change Apple IDs just because you get a new device.

If you buy an App, you have 2 ways to get it to the iPhone6: If Automatic Downloads is enabled in Settings->iTunes & App Store, it will automatically download to the iPhone 6 when you buy it on the 5 and vice versa if you buy it on the 6, it will download to the 5.
Alternatively, you can simply go to the App Store App->Updates->Purchased and look for the App there and download it. Purchased Apps will not require payment again. i.e They'll be free to download to the iPhone 6 once purchased.
SMS Messages will sync over using Continuity as long as they are on the same Wifi network. Otherwise, restoring the iPhone 5 backup to the iPhone 6 will transfer all messages received up until the backup was made onto the iPhone 6.

If you want the Continuity features as explained above you need to update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8. Otherwise its not all that important.

XI and R/3 Running on the same Server.

Hello Friends!
One year ago I've installed XI on a machine that already had a R/3 instance. Although there were different instances, one for SAP R/3 and one instance for the ABAP part of XI, I couldn't get to connect XI to the R/3, appartently XI searched for the instance through the IP address, ignoring the instance ID parameter.
Now I have again the same challenge, I have only one machine to run R/3 and XI.
Does anyone know if it is possible to do?

a) are running a multi-threaded server (requires TUXEDO 7 or newer + compilation
options) or
b) use tpacall() instead of tpcall() and specify the flag TPNOREPLY. This is probably
not what you want to accomplish, though.
The reason is that TUXEDO servers by default (and always in versions before 7)
are single-threaded. If service A and B both reside in server X, server X will
be busy taking care of the call to A. If A makes a call to B, the call will be
put on the queue to X, but X will not look at the queue until it is done with
A, which won't happen until B returns... deadlock!
You can play tricks with starting multiple instances of X, but in the end you
will always face a risk (something lika a race-condition) for a dead-lock.
Solution: Move service B to another server (usually quite easy) OR switch to multi-threading,
if that's possible. Just make sure all code your service calls is MT-safe as well...

We have installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro- English,Francais,Deutsch version 10.1.9 in our test environment and tried testing it for converting SAP pages into PDF with a few pilot users. In doing so we faced a challenge, where only one user at a time can use Adobe Acrobat PRO to convert SAP pages in to PDF.As long as the first user who is connected to Adobe Acrobat Pro via SAP isn’t logged off, other users connected to the same server are not being able to get the “Save As” dialog box to save the PDF in their preferred location.
This is a business requirement and we need an urgent solution for the same. Can anyone help us in telling us if this is possible and if yes the how to go about?

LiveCycle PDF Generator is the one you should look at, it comes in 3 editions. License terms are by negotiation. Key management is via its Java API.

and, based on my own experience, is the WORST way of achieving high availability of an LDAP Directory Service and an almost GRANTED way to get replication issues in your topology (lock, split, re-init, etc...).
Please use instead the 'application-level' clustering that you get out of the box with the Multi-Master Replication.
