Css background image stopped working despite no code change

My background image was working fine. Then, without me changing the code, it stopped working. The URL I referred to exists and ends in .jpg.
When I first load Thimble the background shows up for a split second, then disappears again.
Here is the code
background-color:#051c1c;
background-image:url("http://www.rosesandrattlesnakes.com/cssbg.jpg");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: top center;
color:white;
font-family:'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;
text-align:center;
padding:0;
I tried removing the quotation marks. That didn't fix it. Tried removing www. That didn't fix it. Tried making the link https. That didn't fix it.
Also, hints doesn't work, whether the checkbox is ticked or not.
Gotta say Thimble kinda sucks. Sorry

  • Diagnostics just stopped working with no code changes

    For no apparent reason I suddenly stopped being able to deploy a solution to the Azure cloud at the weekend. Its been working fine for many months then at the weekend after a one line of code changed I could no longer deploy. I reversed the change immediately
    and it still wouldn't deploy.
    If I turn off all diagnostics then it will deploy. The error I get in the console is the following.
    07:28:53 - Checking for Remote Desktop certificate...
    07:28:55 - Applying Diagnostics extension.
    07:29:19 - The server encountered an internal error. Please retry the request.
    I've tried older revisions from source control which no longer deploy and I've tried deploying various versions from a second development machine which I sometimes use in case an assembly on my machine had become corrupt but it won't deploy from any machine.
    I've also upgraded all the Nuget packages as a test with no impact. I've also tried to production and staging and I've tried deleting the deployment and installing without success.
    Any ideas what might have caused diagnostics to suddenly stop working? I really need diagnostics once deployed. Just to mention everything seems to work locally in Visual Studio.

    Below is taken from the logs with a few details edited out but I find it hard to diagnose from this what's failed.

  • Spry Sliding Panel bugs with Flash SWF, iFrames, CSS background images

    Greetings,
    I'm working on a site right now that is build with Spry 1.6
    Sliding Panels. On the home panel I have integrated a looping SWF,
    and scrolling iFrames on the Overview panel. After extensive
    research on these forums, I'm still scratching my head at a few
    bugs listed below:
    • Firefox (MAC v2.0.0.14)
    - The SWF on the home panel doesn't hide properly when
    sliding to a different panel. I have set 'wmode opaque' parameters
    to the flash file, but this seems to have not resolved the issue.
    - Additionally, I've noticed that sometimes the SWF will not
    finish sliding into the correct position when clicking to the home
    panel (the SWF will stop sliding several pixels left of the
    original positioning).
    - The SWF (which happens to be a loop animation) resets every
    time the home panel is visited. In my testing, this does not happen
    in any other browser.
    - On the Overview panel, scrolling iFrames are used on the
    "Staff Profiles". These iFrames don't hide properly when clicking
    through other panels, as the scroll bars are still viewable.
    - Overall, the sliding animation is a bit choppy compared to
    all other browsers. I can live with this, but I wonder if I have
    improper code somewhere?
    • Opera (MAC v9.27)
    - Same issue as above concerning the fact that the SWF
    appears outside of the sliding panel view port.
    • IE 6
    - CSS background images flash during the sliding panel
    animation.

  • HTML background image stops being replicated in long page

    This is a straight HTML (no JavaScript, no CSS) page with a tiled background image (128x128 pixel JPEG). After about 2/3 of the roughly 3,000 lines of this page the background image stops, with a smooth horizontal divide: the tiled image background above, and a white background below. The discontinuity moves up and down some while scrolling this page, but remains a clean horizontal break.
    This is new behavior with Firefox 7. The background image was displayed throughout the full page with Firefox 6 and earlier.

    Hi vestibule, the home page renders out to 42072.5px tall, and Firefox has a bug that limits backgrounds to a height of approximately 32735px tall. See [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=671302 Bug 671302 – cairo-gdi: large background-images and gradients don't work beyond ~ 32735px].
    This bug is coming up on a year old and for some reason hasn't been fixed yet, perhaps because such long pages are relatively rare on the web. ??
    Until that is resolved, to make the "transition" less jarring, you can add a matching background color (this is the closest I can come up with at the moment):
    <br>body {
    background-image: url(Image_Files/parchmnt.jpg);
    background-color: #f8f8d4;
    }

    Thanks!

    You haven't said what version of PSE you are using but the general solution to this problem is to re-install the product from your original disks.  Have you got the disks for your product and the related serial number?

  • I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30

    I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30.
    This is Photoshop Elements 8, and I have the original disc with serial number so I can re-install that.
    The probelm is I'd need to de-cactivate the serial number before un-installing, and I need to open the programme to do that.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Okay, I've found that this is a recognised problem.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html
    Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
    and all the solutions tell me to find the folder FlexNet Publisher in my library.
    Problem is FlexNet Publisher doesn't seem to exist there. Can't find it anywhere on my hard drive.
    Gettting down to the end of that page gives me the following info....
    The FlexNet folders and files required to run Adobe applications can become corrupted or have permission problems if moved from one machine to another. They can also be damaged through a Time Machine system restore. FlexNet service licensing failures cannot be resolved by reinstalling the application or by using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool. If permissions issues prevent the FlexNet licensing service from launching, accessing data, or communicating with Adobe processes, a licensing failure occurs.
    Well it looks like backing everything up using Time Machine may have caused all this problem. Anyone know how to get Flexnet Publisher back?

  • Desktop background shuffle stops working

    Desktop background shuffle stops working after a while. I had the same problem with 7 preview and now with 7 Ultimate RTM 64bit clean install the same issues and I can't figure it out why. If I use the same set of photos on my Mac shuffle works fine.

    Hi Dariusz Stochmal,
    Before moving on, could you please help to clarify the following factors?
    -       Is the issue that the background slide show works, however, the slide show shuffle stops working which displays the background pictures in order?
    -       Could you please let me know when the issue occurs? Does it occur after using certain software, changing some settings or installing something?
    In the meantime, let's try the following suggestions to check the result.
    First, if there is any the Desktop or wallpaper software installed, please remove it.
    Second, please test the issue in Clean Boot. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue.
    However, if the issue persists, you can also test the issue in a new user account. To do this, please go to Control Panel -> View by: Category -> Add or remove user accounts -> Create a new account. Please see if the issue occurs in this user account. If not, we can transfer the personal files to this account to resolve the issue.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Linda

  • Why PhotoBooth can't get the background images to work properly on the picture

    Why PhotoBooth can get the background images to work properly on the picture, is it because too much luminosity in the environment or too little? I have tried everything and nothing works.
    <Re-Titled By Host>

    Might try this...
    Go to System Preferences > Universal Access and down in the Display: section make sure that the Enhance contrast: slider is all the way to left to Normal, or more to the right for less Contrast.
    Go to System Preferences > Accessibility in 10.8.x,and down in the Display: section make sure that the Enhance contrast: slider is all the way to left to Normal, or more to the right for less Contrast.

  • Project stops working when attempting to change working times

    Project stops working when attempting to change working times.  I'm running a 1000+ task project, fully resource loaded with multiple resource calendars.  After two months of normal operation, it now appears that Project has deleted (or corrupted)
    one of the base calendars that several of the resources use.  Now, when attempting to change working time for a resource, sometimes I can get as far as a blank space where the base calendar name should be and an error message stating that there is a problem
    with the resource; other times the program just stops working and shuts down.  Any ideas on how to restore the file?

    I agree with John. Save the file as XML and reopen it. Also, if you have backup of the file, use Organizer to copy the base calendar from the backup. To use organizer, open both the files in Project.
    1. In Project 2007 or earlier versions, select Tools > Organizer. In Project 2010 and later, select File, Info > Organizer.
    2. Click Calendars tab.
    3. Change the Calendars available in: drop down on the right to current file, and other drop down to backup. This will list all the base calendars in each file.
    4. Select the base calendar in the backup. Click the "Copy >>" to restore the base calendar.

  • CSS Background Image Clickable?

    A client asked me to add an image on every page in an
    editable area eclipsing where I already have two divs (one is a
    title area and the other is text that goes under it). Both those
    divs are inside another div. I put the image as a background (no
    repeat) to the div that holds the other two and it fits perfect.
    But I need it to be clickable to another page. Any suggestions how
    I might do that? Can I somehow make the background image clickable?
    Can I make just that area of the div clickable? Keep in mind that
    the image is behind the corners of the other two divs. Here is the
    code:
    <td width="514" valign="top">
    <div id="services_right">
    <div id="services_copy">
    <div id="services_subsub">
    <h2><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="services_sub"
    --><!-- TemplateEndEditable --></h2>
    </div>
    <div align="left"><!-- TemplateBeginEditable
    name="services_content" -->
    <p> </p>
    <!-- TemplateEndEditable --></div>
    </div> </div> </td>
    Thanks,
    Brian

    > How do you deal with that?
    Either -
    1. Do the insertion of a server-side include
    programmatically, e.g., based
    on the current page name, or
    2. Leave an editable region for the secondary navigation, and
    drop the
    desired include file into the editable region.
    Either approach is SO MUCH SIMPLER than using nested
    templates.
    > Can you do it all with CSS and be able to update
    correctly?
    I do quite a few sites where I am changing the physical
    layouts using CSS
    alone, yes.

    /* HACK FOR IE: to stabilize appearance of menu items; the slash in float is to keep IE 5.0 from parsing */
    @media screen, projection
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
    display: inline;
    f\loat: left;
    background: #FFF;

    Because I can't see your site and code in context, I will make a guess that this style is throwing off your alignment:
    /* Menu item containers, position children relative to this container and are a fixed width */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    font-size: 100%;
    position: relative;
    text-align: center;
    cursor: pointer;
    width: 160px;
    float: left;
    background-image: url(file:///E|/MAIN_website/images/menu_background.jpg);
    Remove the text-align:center; from the above style.
    Instead of centering your list element (li), center the link text (a) itself:
    /* Menu items are a light gray block with padding and no text decoration */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
    color: #FFF;
    text-align: center;
    text-decoration: none;
    font-family: Cambria, Arial, sans-serif;
    font-size: 14px;
    If you don't want the submenu text to be centered, do this immediately after the previous style:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul a {text-align: left;}
    The sub-submenus are also set up by default to be jogged a bit to the right. You can adjust this style:
    /* Submenus should appear slightly overlapping to the right (95%) and up (-5%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul ul
    position: absolute;
    margin: -5% 0 0 95%;
    that causes sub-submenus to fly out to the right of the submenus to which they attach.
    Submenus themselves (not the sub-submenus) should fall directly under the top menu item by default, once you remove the text-align: center; on the li item (above).

  • Since Firefox 4, I can get a background image to work using base64 encoded, but not a local file, this worked in Firefox 3, how do I resolve this.

    Using either of the 4 examples shown below, to have a background image display inside about:blank worked in Firefox 3.x (using Stylish add-on), however since Firefox 4, only using the base64 encoded version of images works. Is there any way to fix this so I don't have to encode every image I wish to use? Encoding the image makes the stylish file absolutely huge, & a real pain to keep encoding whenever I want to change the image.
    body:empty { background: url("resource:/res/images/OnFire.jpg")
    body { background-image: url("resource:/res/images/OnFire.jpg")
    body:empty { background:url("data:
    body { background-image: url("data:
    I've also previously disabled most of the add-ons, except for Status-4-Evar, Stylish, & Firebug, in an attempt to see if something else was interfering, but no change.
    I can supply a copy of the previously working (FF 3.x) code to some of the about:blank styles if needed for testing purposes.

    Type '''about:addons'''<enter> in the address bar to open the '''Add-ons Manager.'''
    Hot key; '''<Control>''(Mac:<Command>)'' <Shift> A)'''
    On the left side of the page, select '''Plugins.'''
    Is it listed here? Select '''Disable.'''

  • CSS background images

    Hello all.
    Newbie here, asking if it is possible for a user to
    change/replace background images through Contribute CS3 that are
    called by CSS stylesheet? All images are setup this way and I don't
    want to have to use tables just so they can be able to change
    images. Any suggestion or assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Yes, I recently ran into a similar problem!
    2 workaround I like...
    a) simply put the image file into your image directory and reference it using /i/image.jpg etc.
    b) use this whitepaper by John:
    http://jes.blogs.shellprompt.net/2007/05/18/apex-delivering-pages-in-3-seconds-or-less/
    And make a file download script that you can use - works very well for me!

  • Printing CSS background image

    Hi:
    Working on a new site, using a Template Monster (no jokes
    please) that my client wants me to use. I am not thrilled using
    some else's setup, and it's no picnic to work with, but my graphic
    skills are not nearly as good as my technical, and the client wants
    something more artistic.
    I have a background image in the CSS that does not print --
    it's the client's photo, so it's important. So as an alternative, I
    took it out of the background and did an AP Div and was able to
    position it properly on screen, and it prints fine. However, in
    Safari and Google Chrome, the whole page is blown apart. In IE and
    FF, no problem.
    Is there an easy fix? I am going to restore the page tonight
    with the original bg image setup (which rendered in all my browsers
    but didn't print) and post it for help, but it's not ready now.
    Here's the link to the "printable" version.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Rgds, Ned

    The browser has a setting under tools advanced printing to
    check a box to
    print background colors and images if you want to print them.
