Css override or new theme

I'm new to Apex so excuse if my question is ridiculous
I have made application and added a theme to it. I want to customize it but I can't add my own css style to it. My css don't override the apex css.
If I upload my own css file and after that I go the "Cascading Style Sheets" page in the menu " Shared Components", the css file is not there :(
What is the best thing to do if you want a page with your own style. Somewhere on this forum I read make your own theme with your own css files? Is this the way

Here's the explanation.
If you try to "import" a CSS, then APEX is expecting a SQL script which will re-generate the actual CSS. Since you are "importing" a pure CSS, it won't work.
What you need to do is actually "create" a new CSS. Navigate to your application's Shared Components, click on Cascading Style Sheets and click Create. Specify your CSS file and upload it. At this point, you should be able to see it in the CSS report.

New SpryWidget .CSS for a New Page

I have the whole spry arsenal of files on a website in a separate folder. I am already using several widgets and functions from that and among others also a "spry collapsible panel" widget on one of the pages.
Now, I would like to use it once again on a new page (on the same site), but when I insert the widget it gives me the same SpryCollapsiblePanel.css as the one already used for the previous widget. But I want to give the panel a different look and feel as it has some other purpose on the new page.
What is the correct procedure to get a fresh untampered "SpryCollapsiblePanel.css" for the new widget on a new page?

I notice (finally got the page!) that the lowest element in the 'drop up' menu overlays the main menu title...a byproduct of needing perhaps one more item's height in margin-top negative pixels!
I suppose it is a small consolation, but IE 8 seems to be rendering the menus accurately, with the sub-submenus flying out relative to their own submenus.
The only workaround that comes to mind (for all the other browsers out there) is to set up new classes to apply to subsubmenus:

For instance, the Ladakh Treks subitems want to offset from the top 30px to align with their parent, Ladakh Treks, so I use the <ul class="one"> to drop that sublist 30px down from the top of the container.

This solution does not work in IE8, which had already worked the way you intended without monkeying around with the top margin. I don't know how it works in IE7.
I have not used conditional markup (I know there are people out there who have, and you could research it!), but one could attempt to put a conditional markup around those class definitions in the stylesheet that would not call on them when your site encounters IE8.

What should be the directory structure for new theme

I want to create a new theme for my BSP pages. Currently all my BSP are using /sap/public/bc/ur/Design2002/themes/sap_tradeshow/ur/ur_ie6.css for styling. I want to create a new theme named testTheme and want to call my bsp pages with sap-themeRoot=testTheme appended to the URL.
I am not sure under which directory should I create the new directory. Should I create a testTheme directory to Design2002 or ur or sap_tradeshow directory in the MIME repository structure?

Run the program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS using SE38 and export the whole theme that you want to base your new theme on (located in /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/Design2002/themes) to a local folder.
Make your changes locally and then use the program once again to import the new theme folder into the MIME Repository (for example /SAP/ZBSP_THEME/myNewTheme).

Export/Import the new Theme from Apex 2.2

Ok, I am so very sold the new theme 15 in Apex 2.2 after 1 day playing. I really want to use it in the new app I am going to build very soon. Export/Import does not work at all because all the images whatsoever are NOT there. May somebody let me know how to do this? or can we do it?

I'll see what I can do about providing a zip of the images directory for the new themes, it's not my call though. You can at the moment use Firefox and save the page (which also saves supporting files) and that will get you most of the images.
You would then have to go through the css and make sure to grab all the background images in that file. On or two page grabs of different page types should give you most the images.

Does anyone know how to make a new theme? I know you can adjust an existing one, but how can you make something like the revolutions theme where you design your own animation for the menu?

How do I install new themes for keynote purchased throught the app store?

I have downloaded some Keynote themes fron a site but I have no way (that I can see) to install them. I've done extensive googling and I always find instructions that say that I have to add the downloaded themes (.kth files) into the ~/Library/Application Support/Keynote/Themes folder. However, I have no such directory.
I purchased Keynote via the App Store. Could this be the reason why I don't have this directory on my hard disk? How does one install new themes then?

While I am at it and since there must be a lot of Keynote experts around, I'll ask another question about a problem that is driving me crazy. I'm one of those thousands of new converts and I have a lot of old PowerPoint files that took me a lot of time to create. I'm trying to import them into Keynote but some of them are giving me trouble. The problem comes when I try to change the theme (I just want to change the background). When I have complex slides involving many objects, if I change the theme all these objects abandon their original positions and everything becomes garbled. I think this has to do with the aspect ratio of the slides but I haven't found any way of fixing it. No matter what size I choose in the Theme Chooser, the result is the same.
I would really appreciate any help you people can offer with any of these problems. Thanks in advance.

How to Fix: Color CC Only Syncing Old Saved Kuler Themes to Illustrator, Not Any New Themes I Make/Save?

When I open the Color Themes panel in Illustrator CC (2014.1.0 Release), and click the "refresh" button, it only pulls in the themes I had saved on the web back when it was "Kuler." No new themes that I make (that show up on the web under "My Themes") sync with Illustrator. How do I get the new themes to sync?
(I've already logged in & out, restarted the programs and the computer, to no avail.)

I am running OSX (10.9.5), and I just installed the latest security update & restarted. Still, it doesn't seem to resolve my problem, unfortunately.
Within the Color Themes palette, it still has my old themes, but when I refresh, the new ones don't show up, and it doesn't mention any error.
Incidentally, when I open the "Illustrator"/Application menu and scroll to where it lists my Adobe ID email, in the fly-out menu it says it wasn't able to sync my settings because an "Unknown Error Occurred." However, nothing seems to be out of order when I click in to manage the sync settings.

Error creating a new Theme

I get the following error when attempting to create a new Theme project "A project with the same location already exists". This is the second theme I am trying to create, in my folder \workspace\NW04SStack10Themes dir.
As an aside the reason I am creating a second project is because changes I make to the original one have not been applied the steps I took were:
1. to Generate for all browsers and subdesignparts
2. To save the Theme.
3. to copy to the directory <install>\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\temp\webdynpro\web\sap.com\tcwddispwda\global\SSR\themes
I have tried these steps and stopping starting the server on many ocassions.
Help appreciated applying the updates to the theme by answering either of the questions above.

I was wondering if there was anyway to get to new themes for the iphone 4, I have been reading about jailbreaking and I dont want to do that. I just thought maybe the Apple site had a place to get new themes?

Add reload button to the new theme?

I realize I can go back to the "original theme restorer" theme, but I don't like it. I want the reload button in the brand new theme! How can I make this happen? This should be a painless option to add, not force people to change the theme. I'm sad to say that this is an immediate slap in the face of "Works the way you do". If I want a reload button, I should be able to add it without having to compromise anything else of the ui. Maybe allow one to move the refresh button out of the address bar to where I'd like it?

Aha.. A previous thread that suggested "original theme restorer" was not clear. In looking to deactivate the presumed theme I discovered that it is an extension, not a theme, and was able to switch back to the snazzy new look with a reload button where I like it.
Perhaps rename the extension so it isn't so misleading. Still, it seems a bit odd that I need to install an add-on to get this most basic feature functionality. Oh well.. Solved.

Captivate 7: "Cannot apply the new theme"

I'm trying to apply a new theme on a Captivate 7 project and keep getting the error message "Cannot apply the new theme". Any suggestions as to how to fix this? It's driving me insane and I really don't want to start my project from scratch.

When you reinstalled, did you first delete the Public Layouts folder, not the one in the installation folder of CP? Which OS do you use, I'm on Win7, and this is the path to that folder:
You can still delete it now, when you restart Captivate it will be refreshed, recreated. Same question about Preferences....

Error Message Since Downloading New Theme

I download a new theme for Halloween from the App World ever since then when I do a hard reset and log in using my password it gives me this error. " uncaughtexceptionnet.rim,device.api.system.controlled.access.exception ". Does anyone know what this means? I hope its just the them and not something hazardous I love my phone to death. I have been through aloth of phones and this by far is my favorite. Some please help.

New Themes and Extra Large Book format not working

I can't access the new themes or the new large format book in iPhoto. I have installed the 8.1 upgrade. (I also have installed Snow Leopard).
8.1 seems to have installed successfully, but I still can't get the new stuff, so I tried re-installing it, and was told that the upgrade already exists. I'd really like to use the Tropical theme, and am at a standstill. Anybody with some input?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. To reinstall you first need to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder. Then run the installer and updates and try again.
