CSS - Text not taking up all of Table Column

Hello,
I have a table, the first column of which is 535 pixels long. However, the contents of this column (a variable called $row['site']) only displays text for about 200 pixels, and then the remaining text spills down onto the row below. The result is ugly. My code and CSS are below.
How can I get the text to extend into all 535 pixels of the column?
Thanks in advance,
John
The code for the table (just up until the first column):
<?php
print "<table class=\"navbar\">\n";
print "<tr>";
print "<td class='sitename'>".'<a href="http://'.$row['site'].'" class="links2">'.$row['site'].'</a>'."</td>";
My CSS:
table.navbar {
        margin-left:100px;
     margin-top:30px;
     text-align: left;
     font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif ;

Hello,
I figured it out by searching on Google:
.sitename { width: 535px;
            overflow:hidden;

    I know I am a noob. When I centre my text in a row of a table

    Note that it is within a <th> tag, which has center

    To change that, click in each cell and uncheck the Header

    Hi Experts,
    Please let me know How to capture all characters of a Material PO Text as maintained in Material master in a standalone report.
    Have used STXh table to poppulate the characters based on material numbers but it seems all characters are not captured in the report it is truncating some characters from the PO text entry.

  • Bex objects translated text not displayed for all

    Hi,
    I have an issue in Bex elements language translation in Bex report output,
    Translation of Bex elements to PT language has done successfully and few of the Bex elements are getting displayed in PT language, but the problem i am facing is with the Chars / Key figures objects used in Bex (Like: 0GL_ACCOUNT / 0AMOUNT / 0MATL_GROUP...) which are used directly in report, for these objects text is still getting displayed in EN.
    When checked in backend tables i can able to see texts for objects with both languages maintained, and when i check the info objects short description from RSD1 by logging with PT language; i can able to see description in PT.
    But, in Bex report i am not getting description in PT for these.
    Please let me know whether i am missing any setting in between Bex and Backend objects.
    Your helpful answers are highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • International texts not going through all of a sudden - ATT, Iphone4

    Hello,
    Long story short - I have one contact that I text regularly in Shanghai, China (I'm in the USA). I have an international texting plan on my AT&T account that gives me a better price. I have been texting her for almost 3 months without problem. Well, I recently went to visit her in Shanghai,and since I have returned from China, she no longer receives any of my texts. I get texts from her just fine, and when I send them to her, they don't bounce back and I get no error messages. So on my end everything looks like it went through. I had her verify that she can get texts from others in the US and there is no problems there. It is just from me that they don't show up on her end. I spent over an hour on the phone with AT&T today and basically got nowhere. They have identified no problems as of yet and just had me reset my network settings. I was told to call back tomorrow if if didn't work. Well it didn't. They asked me several times if the phone was dropped, exposed to water, etc...Nothing physically has caused any phone damage. I can receive texts from her internationally, and all of my domestic texts come and go through just fine. I'm guessing something got squirlly after I returned to the US somehow. The phone obviously recognized where I was because I couldn't access several features without turning data roaming on, which I never did. I changed no setings at all while I was gone. They also suggested it my be version 6.0, but again, this was installed well before my trip and there were no issues after installitation. The problems didn't start until I returned to the states. Any ideas? I appreciate and advice you may have.
    Jay

        I know the importance of ensuring your device and service is working properly kthompson91. To clarify, are you getting restricted when anyone calls you or just one specific number? What make and model phone do you have? Are you also having issues with not getting text messages from a certain number?

  • Voice texting NOT working at all on motorola bionic

    Moved for greater exposure

    @littledebb I can definitely relate to not having the voice text feature work.  I love mine and use it all the time.  I don’t know what I would do with out it.  When the voice texting is not working are you using a 3rd party app (i.e. handscent)?  Can you use the voice input on other apps like Google Navigation. Email, search, you tube? I would also make sure that you download the app called “Espeak for android” this will help with your voice text messaging feature.  Thanks.

  • Sql Server 2012:Full Text Catalog taking up all the disk space

    We have created full text catalog and index for a pretty large table. The column on which the index is being created has a datatype of varchar(max). The problem started as soon as we started populating the catalog. It almost grew to 835GB and Population
    status stuck to "Processing Notification". I think is status code 9 which corresponds with
    the "Change tracking" status in the SQL. It gets stuck in this status almost for ever.
    Is there a way to deal with this huge catalog size, may be shrink it or move it to a different location.
    Is switching off Change Tracking going to improve the situation.
    Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Saikat

    Hello,
    There could be considerable amount of indexes on that catalog and the effect of the merge over them. Try the index size property of
    the following function:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms190370(v=sql.110).aspx
    Hope this helps.

  • Search in database in all the tables

    Hi friends,
    I want to search following text in database in all the tables :
    Paris-Murex BO for BNL- Panorama(Roma) / BNL-Panorama for Paris-Murex BO(Roma)
    above text is thr in our client site which is getting retrieved from database, I know the database instance name but but dont know from which table this value (text) is comming from.
    please help it's urgent!!!

    This is a depressingly common request. Why are there so many shonky undocumented applications out there?
    Anyway, the solution for a one-off exercise is this brute force approach. It's not pretty and the performance will be Teh Suck, but it will find the string. If you think that the string might be in more than one column you should remove the EXIT and let the thing grind on for as long as it takes.
    set serveroutput on
    declare
        n number;
    begin
        for r in ( select owner, table_name, column_name
                   from all_tab_columns
                   where owner not in ('SYS', 'SYSTEM')
                   and   data_type in ('CHAR', 'VARCHAR2')
                   and   data_length >= 43 )
        loop
            dbms_output.put_line('checking!!'||r.owner||'.'||r.table_name||'.'||r.column_name);
            begin
                execute immediate 'select 1 from '||r.owner||'.'||r.table_name
                              ||' where '||r.column_name||' like ''%Paris-Murex BO for BNL- Panorama(Roma) / BNL-Panorama for Paris-Murex BO(Roma)%'''
                              ||' and rownum = 1'
                into n;
                dbms_output.put_line('found it!!'||r.owner||'.'||r.table_name||'.'||r.column_name);
                exit;
            exception
                when no_data_found
                then
                    null;
            end;
        end loop;
    end;
    /If you have CLOBs and BLOBs you want to check as well then you'll need to run through a second query using CONTAINS(). Implementing that is left as an exercise for the reader.
    Note that if you want to do this on a regular basis then you need a completely different, more architectural approach.
    Cheers, APC

    Hi,
    We have just upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0.
    The rpeort painter reports accessing FI-SL tables are not working properly.
    The lead column is displaying GL account number twice in ECC 6.0.
    However in 4.7 it is working correctly with GL account number along with description of the GL account.
    Please help me in solving this.

  • How to generate test data for all the tables in oracle

    I am planning to use plsql to generate the test data in all the tables in schema, schema name is given as input parameters, min records in master table, min records in child table. data should be consistent in the columns which are used for constraints i.e. using same column value..
    planning to implement something like
    execute sp_schema_data_gen (schemaname, minrecinmstrtbl, minrecsforchildtable);
    schemaname = owner,
    minrecinmstrtbl= minimum records to insert into each parent table,
    minrecsforchildtable = minimum records to enter into each child table of a each master table;
    all_tables where owner= schemaname;
    all_tab_columns and all_constrains - where owner =schemaname;
    using dbms_random pkg.
    is anyone have better idea to do this.. is this functionality already there in oracle db?

    Ah, damorgan, data, test data, metadata and table-driven processes. Love the stuff!
    There are two approaches you can take with this. I'll mention both and then ask which
    one you think you would find most useful for your requirements.
    One approach I would call the generic bottom-up approach which is the one I think you
    are referring to.
    This system is a generic test data generator. It isn't designed to generate data for any
    particular existing table or application but is the general case solution.
    Building on damorgan's advice define the basic hierarchy: table collection, tables, data; so start at the data level.
    1. Identify/document the data types that you need to support. Start small (NUMBER, VARCHAR2, DATE) and add as you go along
    2. For each data type identify the functionality and attributes that you need. For instance for VARCHAR2
    a. min length - the minimum length to generate
    b. max length - the maximum length
    c. prefix - a prefix for the generated data; e.g. for an address field you might want a 'add1' prefix
    d. suffix - a suffix for the generated data; see prefix
    e. whether to generate NULLs
    3. For NUMBER you will probably want at least precision and scale but might want minimum and maximum values or even min/max precision,
    min/max scale.
    4. store the attribute combinations in Oracle tables
    5. build functionality for each data type that can create the range and type of data that you need. These functions should take parameters that can be used to control the attributes and the amount of data generated.
    6. At the table level you will need business rules that control how the different columns of the table relate to each other. For example, for ADDRESS information your business rule might be that ADDRESS1, CITY, STATE, ZIP are required and ADDRESS2 is optional.
    7. Add table-level processes, driven by the saved metadata, that can generate data at the record level by leveraging the data type functionality you have built previously.
    8. Then add the metadata, business rules and functionality to control the TABLE-TO-TABLE relationships; that is, the data model. You need the same DETPNO values in the SCOTT.EMP table that exist in the SCOTT.DEPT table.
    The second approach I have used more often. I would it call the top-down approach and I use
    it when test data is needed for an existing system. The main use case here is to avoid
    having to copy production data to QA, TEST or DEV environments.
    QA people want to test with data that they are familiar with: names, companies, code values.
    I've found they aren't often fond of random character strings for names of things.
    The second approach I use for mature systems where there is already plenty of data to choose from.
    It involves selecting subsets of data from each of the existing tables and saving that data in a
    set of test tables. This data can then be used for regression testing and for automated unit testing of
    existing functionality and functionality that is being developed.
    QA can use data they are already familiar with and can test the application (GUI?) interface on that
    data to see if they get the expected changes.
    For each table to be tested (e.g. DEPT) I create two test system tables. A BEFORE table and an EXPECTED table.
    1. DEPT_TEST_BEFORE
         This table has all EMP table columns and a TEST_CASE column.
         It holds EMP-image rows for each test case that show the row as it should look BEFORE the
         test for that test case is performed.
         CREATE TABLE DEPT_TEST_BEFORE
         TESTCASE NUMBER,
         DEPTNO NUMBER(2),
         DNAME VARCHAR2(14 BYTE),
         LOC VARCHAR2(13 BYTE)
    2. DEPT_TEST_EXPECTED
         This table also has all EMP table columns and a TEST_CASE column.
         It holds EMP-image rows for each test case that show the row as it should look AFTER the
         test for that test case is performed.
    Each of these tables are a mirror image of the actual application table with one new column
    added that contains a value representing the TESTCASE_NUMBER.
    To create test case #3 identify or create the DEPT records you want to use for test case #3.
    Insert these records into DEPT_TEST_BEFORE:
         INSERT INTO DEPT_TEST_BEFORE
         SELECT 3, D.* FROM DEPT D where DEPNO = 20
    Insert records for test case #3 into DEPT_TEST_EXPECTED that show the rows as they should
    look after test #3 is run. For example, if test #3 creates one new record add all the
    records fro the BEFORE data set and add a new one for the new record.
    When you want to run TESTCASE_ONE the process is basically (ignore for this illustration that
    there is a foreign key betwee DEPT and EMP):
    1. delete the records from SCOTT.DEPT that correspond to test case #3 DEPT records.
              DELETE FROM DEPT
              WHERE DEPTNO IN (SELECT DEPTNO FROM DEPT_TEST_BEFORE WHERE TESTCASE = 3);
    2. insert the test data set records for SCOTT.DEPT for test case #3.
              INSERT INTO DEPT
              SELECT DEPTNO, DNAME, LOC FROM DEPT_TEST_BEFORE WHERE TESTCASE = 3;
    3 perform the test.
    4. compare the actual results with the expected results.
         This is done by a function that compares the records in DEPT with the records
         in DEPT_TEST_EXPECTED for test #3.
         I usually store these results in yet another table or just report them out.
    5. Report out the differences.
    This second approach uses data the users (QA) are already familiar with, is scaleable and
    is easy to add new data that meets business requirements.
    It is also easy to automatically generate the necessary tables and test setup/breakdown
    using a table-driven metadata approach. Adding a new test table is as easy as calling
    a stored procedure; the procedure can generate the DDL or create the actual tables needed
    for the BEFORE and AFTER snapshots.
    The main disadvantage is that existing data will almost never cover the corner cases.
    But you can add data for these. By corner cases I mean data that defines the limits
    for a data type: a VARCHAR2(30) name field should have at least one test record that
    has a name that is 30 characters long.
    Which of these approaches makes the most sense for you?

  • Remain case for table column name

    Hello, i am a java developer. I had helped my company to develop a java application all the while and before this we are using ms sql server database. Recently, we want to migrate the database to oracle database. The problem is, in our application, we use the resultsetmetadata to retrieve all the table column name and respective data and store in hashtable, but in ms sql server the table column name is not all in uppercase. When our application try to get the data using hashtable.get("aColumnName"), it will fail because in oracle the column name is all in uppercase. There are more than 1000 jsp page and java code that used the same method to get data, so if i want to change all the code to uppercase, it will consume a lot of unproductive time, is there any way to solve this?

    I assume that your code builds an SQL statement like "select * from ??? where table_name = '????';".
    If this is correct just wrap the table_name in UPPER(table_name).
    If my assumption is incorrect then please give more information.
    James.

  • I need the "Real" Table / Table Column names from a sql view

    Firstly, we have a system with ~1000 tables and ~250 views.  We have field level security on the table columns (in our code)
    Now we have a lot of views which select data from the tables, but I need to get the "Table Column Name" that is linked in the view.
    I know there are view columns that is not linked to a specific table column, (or concatenation of columns) so those columns can just return NULL.
    From the sample you will see there is a view selecting data from another view.  I know it is not the best sql performance (execution path) but that is another topic on its own.
    I went through a lot of the sys.* stored procs or sys.* views to try and figure out if there is a view that we can use to get the expected results.
    here is the sql code:
    if
    Exists (select

    NOTE:  the COLUMN_NAME and TABLE_NAME must the REAL field of the TABLE it belongs to and not only ONE LEVEL Higher’s ALIAS View Name

    Now we have a lot of views which select data from the tables, but I need to get the "Table Column Name" that is linked in the view.
    If you are using SQL Server 2012/2014, then you can use
    sys.dm_exec_describe_first_result_set (Transact-SQL) to gte the informations.
