CTIOS Client: Enabling Chat & Agent Stats

Working with CTIOS client in a lab (8.5).  Have one agent and one supervisor (spv configured as spv of agent on team).  Two issues:
1)  Chat:
     a) I AM able to send chat from the agent to the spv.  However, the window does not automatically pop up on the spv's desktop.
     b) I CANNOT send a chat (or response) from the spv to the agent.  When I try, I get a message that the agent is not a spv of their team and they are
only allowed to chat w/ spv's of their team.
I have checked the registry settings for both the agent (agentchatlevel) and spv (supervisorchatlevel) and set both to Unrestricted.  After doing this, I did log out of the desktops and close and reopen, but did not cycle the CTIOS servers if that's required.  Or is it some other setting I'm missing?
2) Agent Stats:
On the Spv's desktop (CTI Toolkit Stats window), I am able to see the Skill Group stats (and therefore can see that my agent is logged  on).  However, no data displays in the Agent stats window.  Some other setting I need to check for this?
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

No firewall David, but I figured out both problems.  Regarding poping the chat window, it's actually a beep, set here:
The chat window can be configured to beep, every time a new message arrives. To make the Chat control beep every time a new message arrives, set the following registry key to a non-zero value.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Cisco Systems, Inc.\CTI Desktop\CtiOs\BeepOnMsgReceived
If the registry key does not exist, or if its value is set to zero, the Chat control will not beep.
Regarding the agent stats, I had to pull up another window to find them :-)
Thanks for your input.

  • CTIOS 7.5.9 Agent Stats

    Hi,
I'm seeing some strange values for some of the agent stats using the ctios agent desktop.
On the pg, i have edited registry keys to display the following stats:
    AgentOutCallsSession
    AgentOutCallsTalkTimeSession
According to the 7.5 ctios user guide ... session is defined as the time since the agent logged in... however, these counters do not reset when the agent logs out and back in again. An agent can log out at the end of a day, log back in the next day and still see stats > 0 for these 2 headings.
Is anyone aware of a change in ctios 7.5.9 that could cause this? Perhaps we are looking at a bug. We can recreate it on the customer site, and in our lab.
Edit: LoggedOnTimeSession does reset itself when the agent logs out and back in again ... looks increasing like a bug.
    Thanks,
    Brian

This is a confirmed bug in 7.5.9
CSCtj84524    AgentOutCallsSession and AgentOutCallsTalkTimeSession are not resetting
    Symptom:
AgentOutCallsSession and AgentOutCallsTalkTimeSession are not resetting
    once the agent logged out.
    Conditions: ICM 7.5(9)
Fix expected in ICM 7.5(10) due OCT 2011

  • CTIOS Agent state

    Hi,
Using Cisco CTIOS toolkit have Auto Answer with zone configured. Is it possible to move the agent State to Not ready after the wrapup is done? Then again agent make himself to ready status for next call?
    Thanks,
    Jayaprakash.

    Hi Jayaprakash,
Not sure if it is possible to move the agent to "not ready" after every wrapup.
What is certainly feasible is to change the agent to NOT READY after every RONA (Ring On No Answer). This means that if the agent doesn't answer the call within a preconfigured number of seconds, his state will become NOT READY and the call will be requeued and transferred to the next available agent.
There are several useful posts on this forum, below is one of them:

    Hope this was helpful,
    Justine.

  • Client-Side Monitoring Agent

I have deployed scom 2012 r2, discovery my windows servers, and installed agent on servers. When I go to Monitoring and then Healthy state, I saw that Client-Side Monitoring Agent and some others show Not monitored. After some google, I know that maybe they
are not enabled by default. My question is that how I can find what monitors they are belong to?
EX: Where I can find "Client-Side Monitoring Agent" under Authoring --> Monitors? And then enable it from there.  Thanks.

It sounds like you are referring to Client-Side Monitoring for .net application performance monitoring. This is not enabled by default and you wouldn't want to enable it without reading up on the subject and trying it out on a test environment first. There
are many factors to consider, a few being; monitoring compatibility for a website, the potential for sensitive data getting into your SCOM databases, and monitored application stability.
You can find .net application performance monitoring by going to "authoring" in the managment console, and then "managment pack templates".

  • Work Ready/Work Not Read Agent state

    Hello all,
I've got two environments with UCCE 7.2.7 and CTI OS 7.2.7 too; CTI OS registry configurations seem to be the same.
I've a little problem with the Agent State after an inbound or outbound call.In both the environment I've an AgentDeskSetting with the following main properties:
    Ring No Answer: not configured
    Work mode on Incoming: Required
    Work mode on Outgoing: Required
    Wrap up time: 7200 seconds
I launch the Cisco Agent Desktop, then log in an Agent, with the previous AgentDeskSetting, and I make an inbound call for the agent; the agent answers the call, talks about 10/15 secons and hangs up the call. At this point the agent, after wrap up data form, goes in work mode and has the Ready and Not Ready buttons available.
In this condition of work mode, I go to see the Agent_Real_Time table: in the first of the two environments I read an AgentState value of 6 (WorkNotReady) while in the other one I can see an AgentState value of 5 (WorkReady). Why I have two different values? I'am wondering if I miss something: are there some configurations that I have not seen?
    Thanks a lot for help,
    Andrea

I compared the values in the two registers and I seem to be substantially the same.
I took the keys "Cisco System, Inc.\Ctios" and "Cisco System, Inc.\ICM\\CTIOS1".
I just cannot understand why the two different behaviors...
Any ideas?? Can I decide in which state will go the agent after the wrap-up time??
    Thanks a lot,
    Andrea

  • Installing CTIOS client 7.2 on Vista

I do not know if this is the correct place to post this question...If not I apologize and please direct me to the correct discussion board.
I'm aware of updates and compatible versions however my company does not  want to upgrade. I had to reformat my Windows Vista machine and  attempted to reinstall the Cisco Systems CTI Toolkit - Agent Desktop 7.2  Software without success. There was a group of contracted Cisco team  members that assisted with the installation and they are now gone. They  left no documentation on how to install the 7.2 Cisco Systems CTI  Toolkit - Agent Desktop on Vista. So, I have two installers the first  has: CTIOS Client and second has: Install 2nd-ICM 7.2.6. The first  installer installs without issue however the second errors out with  message: jre.exe has stopped responding. My machine has the latest  version of java installed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    ~ Pamela

I don't have the full version on 7.2.....I bought the upgrade only from 6. however since 6 was made not for the new Universal binary Intel chip I am not sure if I could go that route.

  • Webview Real Time Agent State issue

    Hi
We have UCCE 8.0(1) Environment, We have an issue in Webview like one single agent state is always TALKING even if he loggedout. We could see the Active-Skill-group is DEFAULT_5342. We tried that paticular extension unregister state still the same..
We deleted that agent id in AW and still same. We checked for any event logs in CTI Server, there was no events, We have restarted the CTI Server, still the agent state showing as TALKING and the Duration is 360 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions
    Regards
    Senthil

In order to recover from this, you'll likely need to cycle the PG for the site (both sides stopped at the same time & brought up clean, or via an opctest: exit_opc).
To perform true root cause analysis, you'd likely need to enable some tracing on the PG & get logs from when the processes restart clean, all the way until you see this 'ghost agent'.
TAC could help you with the trace settings but I'd think "opctest: debug /agent" would be a good start.
    Good luck.

  • CTIOS 8.5(2) Agent Desktop fails to start - file not found exception

I can run the CTIOS 8.0(1) Agent Desktop OK against my 8.5(2) system, but when I install 8.5(2) SR on the client machine (running XP SP3), the app will not start. (Actually trace shows it starts a little bit but debugging doesn't point out the problem).
It pops up a Windows Message wanting to send a report to Microsoft (yeah, we know where that goes) and I can see it say something about a file not found exception.
I uninstall CTIOS 8.5(2) and it works perfectly.
Makes you wonder how this passed QC testing. I have tried on two different machines.
Anyone have the workaround that establishes the file it's looking for?
    Regards,
    Geoff

I still have my TAC case open but I also have a workaround that seems to work.  As Chad described above he had a machine that the 8.5.2 upgrade originally did not launch on but then magically started working on.  I also came across that case. Once I had one working machine I could upgrade it and downgrade successfully without issues.   Seeing that the 8.5.2 installer examines the system to be upgraded I figured it's checking the registry and/or the installation files. I then did the following:
    Working system
    1) Downgrade working 8.5.2 system to 8.0.1
    2) Export the Cisco Systems Inc key from this 8.0.1 system
    3) Copy the CTIOS Client and CTIOS Silent Monitor directories for the 8.0.1 system
    Non working System
    4) Stop the CTIOS Silent Monitor system
    5) Delete the Cisco System Inc key from the reg
    6) Import the Cisco Systems Inc key from the working system
    7) delete the existing CTIOS Client and CTIOS Silent Monitor directories
    8) Copy in the CTIOS Client and CTIOS Silent Monitor directories from the working system
    9) Run the 8.5.2 installer
Reboot - and run the agent/supervisor desktop
I did this on several test machines and it worked every time.  I have upgraded about 5-6 supervisors and they all say it's working fine as well.

  • Agent state

    Hi all!
When I connect to Interaction Center I can't select the state of the agent - ready or not (radio-buttons are disabled). At this time Contact Center Simulator write "Currently no agents are logged on to CSS"
How can I enable the agent?

  • Agent State Trace report.

Has anyone out there tried to create a State trace report for agent that include State duration?
I have tried to add AED.Duration to a State trace report definition I  found on the developer site, which sort of works, however it seemed to log every single second, which is obviously not practical!
Therefore if any one has managed to incorporate a State Trace report to include duration, that would be good to know, how you did it!
The report needs to reflect the same output as the CTIOS State report.
I would welcome any and all help.
    Thanks Sarah

    Hello,
I have this problem too. I am trying to build a report in SQL based on the Agent State Trace table, but I need to add the duration time.
The AST table doesn't include the duration. Basicly I need the following:
Agent,           Date Time,                Agent State,         Duration
    Anni Smith     5/25/2013 7:35 am     5                         0:00:35
So it shows that the Agent was on Work Not Ready for 35 seconds.
If anybody has done something similar please share the solution.
    Thanks!

  • Agent state stuck

    Hello,
I have the following scenario happening at customer site:
Agent A receives an inbound call
Agent A transfers his call directly to Agent B who already has an active call (from CTIOS: Single Step Transfer). Agent B is now talking to a customer and has the transferred call in ringing status. On CTIOS there are 2 lines displaying information for the 2 calls.
Customer with Agent B ends the call. The first line displays CLEARED.
Agent B answers the transferred call.
The transferred customer ends the call.
The second line displays CLEARED. The 2 lines are still showing on the agent's CTIOS Agent Desktop. At this stage, the agent state is displayed as TALKING at the bottom of the CTIOS box. Agent B WILL NOT receive a new inbound call unless the pickup button is pressed on the IP phone. The agents are NOT pressing the pickup button....... all the agents are using this trick to take extra breaks!
As a first step, I have installed Maintenance Release 8.0(3) on all ICM components including CTIOS Server and Agent.
This did not solve the issue even though the 8.0(3) Release notes do mention fixing some bugs relating to calls not being cleared after a transfer.
Any other suggestions? Has anyone faced a similar scenario?
    Thanks,
    Justine.

    Hi,
If you get this message error "showing this agent is alrady loged on" only for one Extension.
Then you can deassociate and associate the device in th PG user for that phone.
I hope the issue you are talkin about the AgentID not able to login to any of the extension.
Then check in the t_Agent_Real_Time table for this agent's current state and the extension.
Login using the agentID in that extension and logout.

    Senthil

  • No agents stats in Webview

    Hi all,
We have installed an UCCE 7.2. It is working fine but when getting webview reports by agent only info from two agents are available.
Agent state trace is enable and agent reporting is also enabled.
When checking logger and hds tables (for example Agent_Half_Hour) only two rows are shown.
The rest of webview reports work fine (skill group, call type ...)
Any idea? Help will be appreciated.
    Thanks and regards
    Raul

    Very strange.
Use ICMDBA to check your logger database. Select the _sideA database and look at Space Used Summary. Focus on the Date/Time column and validate that all half hour tables show that they have been updated at the same time. Is the agent half hour lagging the Call Type Half Hour?
Make sure the site name in the PG for agent distribution (enabled = Y) is exactly the same as the name you have used to build your AW site.

    Geoff

  • CTIOS Client is not working on Windows 7 64x platform

    Hi All, Good day
I'm installing CTIOS client ver 8.0 on winodws 7 64x but after installation once I open it it crashed.
I've tried to look in the registry but I'm not able to find the Cisco folder under HKEY_Local_Machine > Software
I'm attaching a snapshot for the crash error
    Regards,

8.0 is not supported on windows 7 64-bit.
    From the 8.5.x BOM -
Windows 7 (64-bit) Support for CTI OS
Starting with CTI OS Release 8.5(2), you can access the CTI OS Client on Windows 7 64-bit.
Try running in compatibility mode for windows XP ...
