CUP 5.3 sp 16: Can CUP fetch the Manager from a future date?

Hello
I have the problem that if we make an CUP Request for new user, we dont have any manager data in the org-management before the start date.
But Cup lookup the manager at the time the request is beeing created - and at this time there is NO manager.
Is there anyway to fix this?
How have you got arround this problem (it must be like this in most companies?)

Hi Kristian,
I might have misunderstood your issue. As per my understancding, CUP'll pick up the manager if the manager has been maimtained at the point of time, when the request has been created and won't consider future values. I am afraid there is anyway to fix this.

Please follow the below steps:
1. Create the Result Set iView.
2. Select the Custom Events button and Add the Custom Event
3. Select Event Type=EPCF
4. Give Event Name=EpfcTest and Namespace=urn:com.sap.tc.webdynpro.mdm.epfc.test
5. Select the desired fields to be passed to the WebDynpro application and give the parameter name.
6. Save the iView
7. Create WebDynpro application and write the below code.

Can I change the default from vertically entering data to be able to enter data horizontally across a row?

If you are used to pressing enter as you fill columns, do your entry that way. Then use the Transpose feature of Numbers 3.5
Data entry:
With the table selected (clicking in one cell is enough),
Menu > Table > Transpose Rows and Columns
If you are adding data to an existing table, use a spare data entry table and copy and paste into the main table after transposing.

Can we delete the requests from Infoobject master data

Hello all,
we load master data process chains everyday. now when when we right click on the attribute "Manage" then there are lots of requests there.
Can we delete the older requests from there?
Does having lot of requests there slow down the performance?

Yes we have transactional data also loaded. So you mean I cannot delete the requests from Infoobject ?
So can we use the given FM and delete master data lets says once a week ?
I am really confused about this. I tried deleting some of the request from ATTR (Right click on attr and then manage -> select request and delete) and it did actually get deleted so was that wrong thing to do ?

How can I prevent the entry of a future date in my date field?

Hi,
I have a date field in my form (created w/ Adobe Lifecycle Designer v8.0) and I need to prevent users from entering a future date (current or past date is okay). Ideally, if a future date is entered, an error message pops up and tells the person that a future date is not acceptable. Does anyone know how to do this or have any suggestions to try?

place the below code in the exit event of the date field and script language should be FormCalc

Note : your field path for example your date field name is futuredate under subform name body then place body.futuredate.
if you want to resrict not to enter past date then compare num with < 0 or to current date then compare num with = 0.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

Fetch the netprice from the validity period which always matches with the

Let me describe the same.
Suppose the PO creation date is 04.07.2007
The conditions for an item in a contract for the PO are as follows;
1. Validity from 04.07.2007 validity to 04.07.2007 Netprice = 100.00
2. Validity from 05.07.2007 validity to 31.12.9999 Netprice = 200.00
We need to always fetch the netprice from the validity period which always matches with the PO creation date. here the value 100.00 should be the correct netpr as the PO creation date matches with the first validity period.
But the program is fetching the netprice 200.000 which belongs to the second validity period. That is beacuse the select statement which fetches the data for contracts collects on the basis of EKKO-kdate and ekko-kdtab.the fields kdate and kdtab retrieves the validity period of the contract which is from 04.07.2007 to 31.072007. This data is then used to retrieve the netpr data from EKPO and it fetched 200.00 as it retrives the netprice of current data in contract validity and h not with respect to PO creation date.
This data is then used to fetch the get the netpr data from EKPO.
what we need is the netprice for that validity period of item(Conditions) that matches with the PO creation date..
Below is the code where I'm selecting the data from ekko and ekpo for the contracts data..Can you please add the code snippet to the below attachesd subroutine to get the required data from KONV and KONP so that we can retrieve the correct Netprice.

Hi,
Please get the valid condition ( based on date ) from A016 (MK & LPA). With the appropriate KNUMH read the Condition header. You can access the different condition items viz., PB00, RA00 etc., for the values from table KONP. Further if you have Value scales / Quantity scales, you can read the data from KONM, KONW.
An additional tips: in KONP, if you have a condition like RA00 - Rebate, the value will be multiplied by 10 and saven in database to accomodate the discount to the third decimal.
I could not completely understand your requirements like nature of development ( Is it a Report / SAP Script ??) you are working etc., so that I could help you precisely.

when i give empno is 1
i want to display his sales i.e 1100,1200,1313
first time i will go to database and fetch the records
but next time onwards i dont go to database; i will fetch the records from cache;
i thought doing it using hashmap or hasptable ;both those two don't allow duplicate values(empno has duplicate values);

Ever considered splitting that table up. You are thinking about caching thats a
very good idea. But doesnt it make it vary evident that the table staructure that you have
keeps a lot of redundant data. Specially it hardly makes a sense to have sales
figures in a emp table. Instead you can have Emp table containing eno and
ename with eno as the primary key and have another table called sales with eno
and sales columns and in this case the eno references the Emp table.
If you still want to continue with this structure then I think you can go ahead with
the solution already suggested to you

Default configuration for document repository is in SAP database. There are possible ways of re-linking it to SAP content server.
How can i fetch the document and attach in the workflow..
You need to look for relevant tables in the database to get appropriate linkage using which your configure the same in your workflow item.
