Currency Valuation G/L Account Balance Sheet Posting F.05

Hi all,
Is there a way to post the Currency Valuation F.05 for G/L account balance sheet posting to another account than itself.
I cannot find any configuration on that, and a trace look to show that it goes back to SKA1,
SKAT & SKB1.
Open item have configuration in OBA1 and we can fix the posting where we want.
But the currency valuation for the account balance always happen to the same account.
Thank you,
Carole

Bal.sheet adj.1 in OBA1 is for that only. The GL account is for Identifying that this is FC account in case of Valuation Loss/ Gain.
Incase of realized loss or gain, it is the same GL account that has to hit in the local currency.

  • Account Balance Sheet x Inventory Cube BW

    Hi Gurus,
Need a cube o extractor with  account Balance Sheet x inventory(materials).
I have 0FIGL_C10 0figl_c10 has all the accounts but not for material balance and 0ic_c03 have all the materials but not the balance sheet accounts, expense accounts only
    Need your help
    Regards

    HI,
balance sheet is always combination of GL accounts. but you need the functional help for which GL accounts you can use in balcance sheet line items. ex: input material cost, utility cost these all are combination of GL accounts so functional guy will give you the list of GL accounts.
easy way is creating the heirarchy, since you have the heirarchy copy it and do the changes as per your requirement finaly in your report you just have the heirarchy and key figures are credit and debit etc
roconsilation alway with the combination of GL accounts. (take some GLA ccounts month wise or fiscal period wise and check in R3 and your BI data target)

  • Foreign Currency Valuation for G/L Balances

    Dear all,
    Iu2019m facing the following problem.
Iu2019ve to execute the Foreign Currency Valuation (T-CODE: FAGL_FC_VAL) for the G/L Balances.
    I have two items:
    Item 1
    Currency: USD
    G/L Account: A483000006
    New Difference after valuation: -100u20AC
    Item 2
    Currency: USD
    G/L Account: A483000006
    New Difference after valuation: -120u20AC
The result is : 1 postings with 4 items
    A483000006  -100u20AC
    Value Loss       100u20AC
    A483000006  -120u20AC
    Value Loss       120u20AC
The problem is that I would that the foreign valuation posting for G/L Balances should be done for the Cumulative balance of the G/L Accounts (for the same currency) and not for every items (like for open items):
    A483000006  -220u20AC
    Value Loss      220u20AC
Is it possible to modify the behaviour of the program?
    Thanks in advance
    Alberto

    Hi,
Please check your valuation method settings, it has a option to do posting based on balance and disable/unselect post per line item.

  • PROFIT CENTER ACCOUNTING-BALANCE SHEET ITEMS TRANSFER

    Dear all.
SAP describe as forllows about set up the opening balance for materials:
In this activity, you set up the opening balance for materials.
The system determines the material stock balance from Materials Management and posts it to Profit Center Accounting.
After setting up the opening balance, it is advisable to post the changes in the material stock balance online to Profit Center Accounting, as this simplifies reconciliation with Financial Accounting.
However, you can also transfer the material stock balance to Profit Center Accounting periodically.
I want to know how can i  transfer the material stock balance to Profit Center Accounting periodically?
    Thanks!

    Dear Chen
You can utilise the reports to transfer the balance sheet items periodically. pl  try this report to transfer the materials periodically S_ALR_87013348.
I hope it will suffice to resolve your querry.

  • Froeign Currency valuation resetting for GL balances

    Hi All,
I executed FAGL_FC_VAL with open item and non open item accounts. But system has not updated the valuation results in the
table FAGL_BSBW_HISTRY for non open item accounts.
Is this is the standard behaviour?
Due to some errors I had to reset the valuation, I reset and found that, reset postings are not happening for above mentioned non open item accounts.
Kindly advice whether this is a configuration issue or something else?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Shanu

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. It is updating in the GL balance table.
Then why this is not including in resetting of Foreign currency valuation?

  • CO account assignment on a GR/IR Account (Balance sheet Account)

The GR/IR account line item on Goods Receipt(GR) documents picks up the account assignment ( WBS Element, Cost center or an Order) from the Purchase order account assignment.
The GR/IR account is defined as a Balance sheet account. So it is abnormal to pick up a CO account assignment on the GR/IR account line item on a Goods receipt or Invoice document.
I shall appreciate if some expert here lets me know if there is a fix(an OSS note)  in order for the GR/IR account NOT to pick up a CO account assignment on the subsequent documents(Goods receipt and Invoice) from the Purchase order.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vijayanth

    Hi Vijaynath,
If you have the modules like CO, PS, FM, IM and activated the above modules, at the time of the GR system compulsarly will ask for account assignment. Because PO might be crated for a project or cost center. In the above 2 cases system will look for account assignment.
I guess system picksup the cost center or WBS against the Raw Material account but not for the GR/IR clearing account. Please check it.
For the raw material and asset accounts you can create statistical cost elements.
    Thanks & Regards,
    shashi kanth.

  • FC Valuation at Year End- Balance sheet items

    ECC-6.00 (FI-CO)
We are maintaing the FC exchange rate on monthly basis. We follow a calender year for our group reporting. Is there a way to carry forward all the open items as at 31st December 2007 to new year at the closing rate of December.

Valuation area is already defined. As I understand, diffrence_FC_VAL will just post the entry for exchange diffrence. What I'm asking is carry forward the open items to new year with the closing rate instead of rate prevailing at the time of accounting that particular transaction.
    Any way thanks for replying.

  • ITunes Account Balance Sheet?

I want to see what money I put in my account and all the purchases I made kinda like a bank account with debits and credits history. As of now I think iTunes just shows the debits?
Let me know if this exists? If not, when will it? I want to make sure my iTunes money is accounted for!

I would doubt that it would affect your credit history or score, but I've never seen any sort of discussions or announcement on any sort of policy on this and none of us here can speak for Apple. You can try contacting the iTunes Store customer service group through the form on their Contact page and asking. There won't be a subcategory specifically for this issue, so just pick the "account or billing" category and then any subcategory and you'll get the form to fill out.

  • Balance Sheet *without* the Foreign Currency Valuation

    Hi FI experts,
We have an issue and need help from the community.
Our customer wants to have a Balance Sheet without the Foreign Currency Valuation, besides the normal balance sheet with FC valuation.
Does anyone in the group have already faced an issue like this?
Is there any possibility to generate the balance sheet without FC valuation even after run F.05?
    Thanks in advance.
    James Francisco
    SAP FI/PS Consultant.

    Hi,
You certainly can do this by creating a financial statement version that does not contain the revaluation balance sheet adjustment accounts and the gain/loss accounts.  If you have accounts that are getting revaluated against itself and not a seperate adjustment account, then you can not.  For accounts that are not open item, they will revalue against themselves so you need to check on that.
    Thanks,
    Jes

  • F.05 Foreign Currency valuation not posted automaticall to GL account.

    Hi,
When we are running F.05 the GL account  3170700 u2013 Gds Recd not Invoiced GRAN is not posting automatically.
Though the GL account is matained in TO30H table and included in the variant that using for F.05 run.
Kindly help me to understand what would be the root cause for not posting automatically.
    Thanks,
    Hari.

    Hi,
If you have a G/L account which have open item management feature, system calculate valuation for each open line items.
For example 2000100 G/L account has open item management and their line items like below.
My local currency is TRY and I posted all items in EUR after that I valuating this line items.
    A. line items
Doc Currency Amount : 1.000.000,00 EUR
    Posting date exchange rate : 2,00000 (EUR/TRY)
Posting date local currency amount : 2.000.000,00 TRY
    End-of-month exhange rate : 2,50000 (EUR/TRY)
    Difference : 500.000,00 TRY
    B. line items
Doc Currency Amount : 2.000.000,00 EUR
    Posting date exchange rate : 2,20000 (EUR/TRY)
Posting date local currency amount : 4.400.000,00 TRY
    End-of-month exhange rate : 2,50000 (EUR/TRY)
    Difference : 600.000,00 TRY
System calculate and post valuation for each line items and system using balance sheet adjustment account for posting. If you manage your account (like 200100) with open item, you couldn't post valuation on this account. System using balance sheet adjustment account and loss/gain account for posting. You can customizing this steps via OBA1 (then choose KDF).
In same account, If you don't manage with open item, system valuating the balance. In this example 3000101001 account has 3.000.000,00 EUR balance amount. When you execute F.05 with option "Valuate G/L account Balances" you can see only one line items for each account and their currency on F.05 output.
    A. line items
Total Foreign Currency Amount : 3.000.000,00 EUR
Total Local currency amount : 6.400.000,00 TRY
    End-of-month exhange rate : 2,50000 (EUR/TRY)
    Difference : 1.100.000,00 TRY
Then when you post the valuation document, system using 200100 account and loss/gain account for posting
    Thanks,

  • Intercompany payment posting after Foreign currency valuation - F.05

    Hi Gurus,
I have an issue with intercompany payment posting after foreign currency valuation run.
    Build Up:
Let me give you a brief description first. Company u2018Au2019 has open items from Company u2018Bu2019. Basically Company u2018Au2019 charges management fees from Company u2018Bu2019.  Both companies have a local currency of u2018EURu2019 and a group currency of u2018USDu2019. The open items posted in company u2018Au2019 have been accumulating for two years now. In January of this year finance decided to run the foreign currency valuation (F.05). The method they used was the reversal method. So at the beginning of the next month the entries from the valuation were reversed. They repeated this in February as well. Note this is the first time the foreign currency valuation was performed in SAP, before it was done manually. After February they never ran the foreign currency valuation run.
    Issue:
Now what is happening is, when open items that have been accumulating for over two years and are before the foreign currency valuation run are cleared (payment is made) there is a exchange rate loss/gain. When the open item is cleared there is posting to the G/L account for Balance sheet adjustment and also an exchange rate loss/gain G/L account.
    Posting:
    Debit u2013 Cash
    Credit u2013 Customer (intercompany)
Credit u2013 Balance sheet adjustment account (unrealized loss)
Debit u2013 Profit and loss account (realized loss)
The balance sheet adjustment account that is posted to is from OBA1 u2013 KDF u2013 balance sheet adjustment account in the foreign currency valuation accounts. Currency translation account determination is empty in OBA1.
I understand the system while payment posting is clearing/offset the unrealized loss/gain and posting the realized loss/gain. But how is this possible, when the foreign currency valuation run was done the entries were reversed so there was no unrealized loss/gain posted.
Also another caveat: Isnu2019t foreign currency valuation for open items that are posted in foreign currency and need to be revaluated to local currency. Well that is what is puzzling the open items posted in company u2018Au2019 are posted in local currency u2018EURu2019 so the foreign currency valuation should not affect these open items, correct? And if this is true then when the open items is cleared the unrealized loss/gain should never be cleared since there is none posted the exchange rate difference should only be posted to the realized account in the profit and loss correct? Please help? I can explain further if needed?
    Thank you.
    Comments and facts:
Companies fiscal year is June u2013 May.
Company u2018Au2019 and u2018Bu2019 have a local currency of u2018EURu2019, group currency is u2018USDu2019
The invoices in Company u2018Au2019 were posted in u2018EURu2019
The foreign currency valuation was only ever run in January and February of 2010.

    HI ,
I believe becuase you did not enter any date that's why they did n't reverse automtcially . You need to enter to reverse.
now you can use f.80 mass reversal for all of them
    Many Thanks

  • Balance sheet adjustment account usage in clearing

    Hello,
I am doing a clearing (F-03) on a bank account which has a foreign currency. Because of the differences in amount a document is generated automatically. The strange thing is one of the line items of this document is balance sheet adjustment account (which is specified in OB09)
For all the other clearings in foreign currency; the posting is between bank account and forex gain (or loss) account. My question is, in which circumstances balance sheet adjustment account comes into play in F-03?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
all of our main bank accounts are open item managed. But only for one main account balance sheet adjustment is required. I checked the open items on the account and they are from different fiscal years. Could that be the reason?

  • ITEM GROUP NEEDS TO BE SET UP WITH BALANCE SHEET ACCOUNT

I am trying to set up an Item so that I can charge it to a Balance Sheet account but the Item Group will not let me do this as it only allows me to charge it to either an Expense or Revenue account.  Is there a way to correct this or change the current Revenue account it is being charged to a Balance Sheet account on the row level?

    Hi Frank,
The reason why in some fields you can only have a certain account type is to avoid descrepancies and wrong accounting. They have been set up that way to allow the document flow in business one to create the correct entries.
Please consider that a revenue account will only be posted to once in this flow, there will be no debit balancing the credit in any target document. The same is true for the expenses.
Other accounts (Balance sheet accounts) like the allocation cost account will be balanced by the target document, the same is true for the BP Control account, it will be balanced by the payment.
The balances posted to the P&L accounts will remain there unless they are manually balanced or reversed by a credit note.
I hope it makes some sense.
    Jesper
