Currently have Lr3 but want to upgrade to Creative cloud, if I do, will it wipe out my photo catalog or will those photos still be there?

Have Lightroom 3. If I upgrade to Creative cloud with the new Lr version, will my current photo catalog still be there? Or does it wipe out the old catalog? Thanks!

I currently have a $10/month subscription to photoshop cc and light room and I want to upgrade to creative cloud. Would I have to pay the $10/month for photoshop and also pay the $20/month for creative cloud or just the $20/month for creative cloud?

    Hi mtumtum,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You can cancel the Photography CC & stop paying for it, once you buy the complete buying the Complete CC, please provide me the order number by inboxing me privately, I will get the old Photography CC canceled without any cancellation fee.

  • Currently Own CS3 but want to upgrade to The Creative Cloud...

I currently own Adobe CS3 but want to upgrade to the Photography Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Lightroom). Do I need to uninstall CS3 from my computer before I buy the Creative Cloud?

No, you do not need to uninstall CS3 before installing CC.  You should still be able to use it (not sure if there will be any issues though).
What you might try before buying is installing CC as a 30 day trial.  That will make things clear without having to chance the investment.

  • I want to upgrade my Creative Cloud package

I would like to update my creative cloud package from 1 Program in creative cloud (Photoshop 9.99pm) to the Complete Creative Cloud package. Do I qualify for the 29.99 per month package since I have already subscribed for the first app? Or do I have to pay 49.99.
    Thanks in advance

  • I have PhotoShop single app plan, want to upgrade to Creative Cloud at the discounted $29.99/mth price.  I own Avid Media Composer.  How do I do this?  Thx.

    Any help welcome!   Thanks.

The only way to get the discounted price is if you already own either CS3 or CS4 or CS5 or CS6.
A Single App subscription does not qualify.
Avid Media Composer is not an Adobe product. Not sure why it's relevant to mention it here.

  • If I upgrade to Creative cloud, then later cancel, will my current licences still work?

I have licences for Illustrator and Flash now.   If I upgrade to Creative Cloud, and then at some point in the future cancel my subscription, will I still be able to use the Illustrator and Flash that I have now?
I don't mind reinstalling them, but I woulnd't want to switch to Creative Cloud and then find that I was then committed to monthly subscriptions forever, even just to be able to use what I have now.

Yes, you maintain all licences for individual products you own outside of Creative Cloud. So if you were to cancel your Creative Cloud membership, you'd be able to reactivate Flash and Illustrator with your license information associated with the invidiaul products.

  • When I open CS6 it will no longer open - it prompts me to upgrade to Creative Cloud - WHY?

I do not want to upgrade to Creative Cloud - I have CS6 and and happy to NOT have a monthly charge. Now I can't open CS6 because it will only open if I upgrade

Whoa that sounds crazy, interesting. Sounds like the licensing just got crossed up or something.

Otherwise maybe Jacob will have some troubleshooting suggestions, gasp unless an actual Adobe person shows up and has some insight?
    Kidding:
Maybe we are at the faithful point in the time and space continuum where all previous Adobe versions are set to go dead and a mass forced cloud or nothing is upon us from the Cash Cow empire? Just kidding (?) Fun times ahead regardless that can be assured.

The Mid-2007 model didn't come out until June 2007, so you must have bought an earlier model. It won't run Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.x), but it might run Lion (10.7.x) if you can get hold of a copy, depending on which earlier model it is.
Lion requires at least a Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The first MacBook Pros came out in January 2006, but they had "Core Duo" processors (no "2"). The Core 2 Duo MacBook Pros came out in October 2006. You could have bought either in March 2007.

    Hi nino8881
    1) It has to be an iMac Mid 2007 or newer. If this is the case ...
    2) Make sure you have Lion or the latest version of Snow Leopard. (You can't upgrade from 10.5.8 to Mountain Lion.)
    3) If step 1 & 2 are checked, you can download OS X Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store and install it.

  • I have Lion and want to upgrade to mountain lion, but cannot find it. I do not want mavericks.

I have Lion and want to upgrade to mountain lion, but cannot find it. I do not want mavericks.

You will need to call Apple as it is no longer listed in the app store. After paying for it, they will send you a redemption code via email you can use to download it.

I am on OS X 10.5.8 but want to upgrade to mavericks.
I purchased mountain lion so I could install it and then upgrade to mavericks but can't redeem my purchase voucher as I have to do it in the Mac App Store which I can't access on 10.5.8.
    Can anyone help?!

You need to update to 10.6.8 in order to advance to 10.7, 10.8, or 10.9.

bought iphone 4 from dubai 6 of turkey, but want to upgrade to version 5 if I upgrade using the iphonum is closed

If you bought your phone from an official source, like a carrier and not in some 'market / ebay', then you can update with no issues.
If you bought it from other than a carrier then you have to take your chances.

  • I Have CS5 but Having Trouble Upgradeing at Promo Rate

I have CS5 and want to upgrade to the Creative Cloud at the $29.99 rate, but Adobe says it has no info on me owning CS5. I've been using the trial versions of the Cloud and love it!!!
I bought CS5 digitally, so I don't know where my serial numbers are and the  individual software packages do not provide me with any way to register — so how can I prove that I am eligible for the promotional rate?
    Thaks

In order to buy and activate CS5, you must have created an account and registered an Adobe ID. If you enter this account, you should find details of your serial numbers etc.
