Curser Issues

Having some trouble with cursers... sometimes when I am working in E-11 any brush or eraser etc that would normally have a round curser showing the size of tool being used shows only as the cross hairs.... I have already tried to set curser in EDIT>PREFERENCES and set to actual size but nothing correct,  the only thing I find works is to close E-11 shut off the computer and re-start.... this can be very annoying especically when I am part way through working on a piece.... This will occour on start up and after I have already used a brush or tool with no issues.... any thoughts.... is this a silly little quirk of E-11????
Thanks in advance......

OH KELLY!!!! You have solved a dilemma I've had from day one of working with PS. Who would have thunk the cursor would change if the caps are locked.  THANK YOU!!!! I'm not worthy!!!

  • MacBook Pro Mouse Curser Issue

    I'm a new convert from Windows to Mac, so I'm still trying to get used to all this after only a week. I'm having an issue with my curser. With a Mighty Mouse connected, the pointer is all over the charts. Sometimes the pointer will just stop even though I'm still moving the mouse, then it will jump to "catch up" so to speak. Or it my end up at the bottom of the screen and the dock will pop up. It doesn't seem to be as bad when I use the pad, but it still seems to happen. Very unpredictable where this pointer is going next.
    Can anyone out there help me with this?
    Thanks,
    Rick

PLEASE i just worry my mac is broken already and i haven't even had it a month.

  • Mutt Curses Issue [Solved]

    After a reinstall of Arch, Mutt now highlights incorrectly.  Normally, there is a solid menu bar across the top and bottom, and also the currently selected message is highlighted.  Now, the bar across the top and the bottom, as well as the highlighted message is not a solid bar.  Wherever there is a space, the background coloring is lost.  So the background is correct when there is text, but the background is lost where there is just empty space.  It is still usable, but I find it quite annoying.
    I couldn't find anything searching Google.  Of course, it's sort of a hard problem to search for; not even sure I described it right.
    Does anyone else have this problem, or have any idea what would cause it?  I tried it from a fresh install.  From my normal user (with a muttrc config file), and from a new user with no muttrc.  I wonder if this was caused from some recent update (either to Mutt, or a dependency).
    Thanks for any help.

    That is strange, I wonder how I lot my color scheme.  I used the same config file.  But I guess it doesn't matter now.
    Thank you very much for that.  It looks much, much better now.  It was driving me insane!

    Sorry, somehow I must have accidentally deleted the post from the person that solved the problem!  Below is the solution they had posted (add it to .muttrc):

  • Issues with the arrow keys, curser, and text fields...

    If I'm using the text tool and want to stop editing I usually hit cmd+enter to exit the text area. When I do this, the next time I enter a text area, my arrow keys won't control the curser.  The only fix that works is restarting Photoshop. This issue happens very frequently and it's super frustrating. I'm restarting seriously 10 times an hour. The upside is I'm crazy fast at it now :-\

    I don't have a Mac like you do, but I wanted to mention that I tried a number of times to reproduce this on the WIndows version of CS6 (assuming Control Enter is the PC equivalent of Cmd Enter) and I couldn't make it fail in the way you stated.
    Hope you/Adobe get it working.

  • Issues with graphics ... force 'safe mode' graphics in normal mode?

    Hi,
    I have a late 2007 MBP with the ATI graphics chipset. Everything was working fine other than a few distorted screens at the very start... now I can only get in to safemode.
    I can not get into the login window on normal and sometimes it flicks to a screwed up display with beachball (display b/w beachball is coloured) everything appears to work fine in safemode other than the obvious fact none of the other extensions are enabled (sound, wifi etc)
    Is it possible to force the OS to load normally but without the accelerated graphics? When I turn on the computer it usually shows distored at the apple screen and then clears up to a grey screen and usually goes blue before failing at screwed screen + visible beachball.
    I've reset the pram,
    fixed permissions and everything else using applejack
    removed refit
    fsck -fy
    I would try to do an archive and install but unfortunately the drive has died on this laptop. I did try to boot from a mac server using netboot / netinstall however I get the same issues as normal mode.
    I just find it really frustrating that I can type here with net access in safeboot and use almost all I use this for anyway...
    I also bought a external dvd drive with my mac mini server however the laptop does not seem to detect that.
    Anyone with any thoughts? thanks

    Is it possible to force the OS to load normally but without the accelerated graphics?
    Not with this model. Some newer MBPs had both integrated graphics and a discreet graphics chipset, but not those having the NVIDEA 8600M GT chipset, which I suspect yours does.
    There are defective NVIDEA 8600 chipsets in the Late 2007/Early 2008 MBPs and, if that it the source of your problems, there is no home remedy--the logic board must be replaced.
    Fortunately, Apple has a program that covers this at no charge to you:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
    I suggest you print out that page and take it with you; it seems some Apple Store employees and AASPs are not aware of the program. The techs have a special tester that quickly determines if the NVIDEA chipset has failed and the computer qualifies for the free logic board replacement. If that test fails to detect a bad graphics chipset, then something else is afoot.
    The point is that, with your model, you need to eliminate the NVIDEA curse first before trying further diagnosis.
    I would try to do an archive and install but unfortunately the drive has died on this laptop.
    Try a cleaning disk. It's amazing how meay people here report being told by a tech teht the optical drive was dead but resurrected it with a simple cleaning

  • Several issues questions with 865PE neo2 FIS2R

    ok first off thanks to the people here, the sticky's are great and very informative.
    although i do find the info outdated in that they all refer to old bios's. other than that this is a fantastic forum
    ok so on with the questions.
    im using a Silicon Image IDE U133 RAID controller (PCI CARD), , the ide hard drive(s) do NOT have to be in raid its just like a Promise card but its made by someone else.
    ANYTIME i have ANY type of hard drive hooked up to that, the motherboard takes nearly 5 minutes to boot to the active hard drive. even if i select boot menu and then the RAID hard drives the SATA drives i mean.
    my active hard drives are 2 Maxtor 160gig SATA drives in RAID0 mode.
    if i have NO hard drives hooked to the controller card the system boots directly to the active boot hard drive. without dealy.
    IF i have an ide hard drive set to boot off the SIL card, it takes just as long. which seems like ages.
    anyone know of issues with this mobo and certain IDE hard drive controllers. (PCI)
    i too am having blank sreen issues with my 9700 pro video card.  but mine is nearly 2 out of 5 times i boot i have no video, and many times i am forced to reach around the pc case and unplug the power cord for a few minutes, in order to get the system to boot WITH video.
    another issue that i have and this is the WORST.
    nearly 90% of the time, the motherboard will NOT i repeat will NOT boot from a floppy or cdrom, all i get is the message on screen, if i am using a bootable floppy, like "Starting windows 98" or "Starting Windows ME"  these are DOS boot disks made with windows XP.
    i then get only a blinking curser. and nothing else.
    OR
    i get a blinking cursor and then i must wait 5-10 minutes before anything else happens. and even then usually the cdrom or floppy wont complete the booting process.
    this happens regardless of if i have anything hooked to that IDE controller card.
    i am now using the LATEST bios offered for this mobo and nothing has changed in fact ,,well according to the readme i was expecting to see some changes within the bios but i seee none. maybe i read the read me wrong. (say that 5 times fast)
    i can NOT run the ram performance mode in anything other than slow. which is making me very angry.
    i have infineon ram not sure what model but i will report back when i find out.
    but i do recall sandra reporting it as supporting 2.5cas and other setting that appear to be FAST or TURBO and yet i cant use those in the bios otherwise my system reboots in windows or i get memory speed errors during post.
    overall im VERY pleased with this mobo but am discouraged at the way its treating me.
    i have a PentIV 3.0ghz HT which is a NON production model, it is a sample model with the multiplyer unlocked.  i can go with a lower multiplyer but NOT a higher one, so i assume its unlocked but the CPU itself is limited to 15x multiplyer.
    i have tried tons of configurations and can run very stable at 3.45ghz but i MUST make the dram 333 mhz  not 400. then raise the FSB to around 225 or 230.  but i still get serious power offs when doing any heavy work on the pc.
    i have CPU voltages at 1.575 yet  sandra reports it as 1.55
    DRAM voltage at 2.7  ( i am using DDR400)
    and AGP at 1.7
    with this CPU what is a GOOD voltage to use.
    is it ok to go higher than 2.7 with DDR400 ?
    and AGP  everything i have read said that 1.8v will fry the 9700 pro.  is this true ?
    sorry im asking alot of questions but if you can help me with any of them i would REALLY appreciate it, and i would pass along any info i learn.!

    Well as Far as your PCI IDE Controller Questions are concerned, I would not know as I have never Used one , And with the Available Promise controller, you should Try using this instead......As Far as your Memory Voltage, You can Raise the Voltage above 2.7 Volts, But unless you are Really Overclocking the PBS or FSB as some call it, then 2.7 Volts is the "Norm" For this Board, But if you do NOT have High Performance RAM you should check with the Manufacturer, before you Go any Higher than 2.7 V, as far as the AGP Voltage is concerned, 1.6 Volts is the MAX that you should Have it set to with any of the new NVIDIA-FX or ATI-PRO, or XT Series Cards, Because as you know, the Cards that are 8X AGP Speed only Require .8Volts to begin with, and the ABP Voltage is Further Reduced by the Cards onboard Electronics, And if you have one of the High Performance Cards, well as you know, these get 90% of their Operating Power from the 4 Pin Molex PSU Connector. Any higher AGP Voltage then 1.6 Volts will only increase the Temps. of Both the Motherboards Chipset, and the VPU itself.................Sean REILLY875

  • Is Arch the best distro for a friend with a "computer curse?"

    Hey, guys!  I need some advise.  I have a friend who has a "computer curse."  It runs in his family as well.  Computers break down FAST in his house.  He was running Windows initially, but he switched to Linux because he kept getting NASTY viruses.  Viruses so nasty, I would often have to use Windows Repair Install.  Linux, obviously, eliminated that problem.  It created a new problem, though.  Linux constantly BREAKS on him!  To be more specific, he's been using Debian-based distros.  Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.  All of them have been breaking on him.  It's incredibly frustrating.
    I've used Arch many times before.  I absolutely love it, and I'm beginning to wonder if it would work for him (after I set it up for him, of course).  I'm worried, though, about two things directly related - package management, and the system breaking.  He ALWAYS finds a way to break the system.  ALWAYS.  I can lock down package management, but if I do that, he will go months and months without an update; increasing his chances of a breakage if a major security update is needed.  Is there a way to balance this out?

    I agree, debian stable is the winner choice for him. That's unbreakable without root perms. And I think anyone who uses linux for more then  a year, finishes at arch, debian or gentoo (and some insists on slackware). Reason is: full customizability, no company background (mp3 in fedora/suse add repos issue) basic configs didn't variated, gentoo+arch:stable rolling release (innovations 5 years later even with this install, imagine you installed an xp in 2001 and now that install is a win7), debian: stable till die (but out of date)
    I killed my first 2 ubuntus one and a half a year ago, and I made panicing kernel half a year ago in gentoo, which even paniced other linux installers if that hard drive was plugged in
    If the guy loves innovations, you can set him up arch (or maybe the chakra project) but I basically say, the perfect solution is debian lenny with stable kde3. Old but more stable then anything I've ever seen, and fast (even on an 800Mhz 128 mb ram laptop)
    And another advise: don't install him sudo. He may know google too well to use it

  • Paper Size issues with CreatePDF Desktop Printer

    Are there any known paper size issues with PDFs created using Acrobat.com's CreatePDF Desktop Printer?
    I've performed limited testing with a trial subscription, in preparation for a rollout to several clients.
    Standard paper size in this country is A4, not Letter.  The desktop printer was created manually on a Windows XP system following the instructions in document cpsid_86984.  MS Word was then used to print a Word document to the virtual printer.  Paper Size in Word's Page Setup was correctly set to A4.  However the resultant PDF file was Letter size, causing the top of each page to be truncated.
    I then looked at the Properties of the printer, and found that it was using an "HP Color LaserJet PS" driver (self-chosen by the printer install procedure).  Its Paper Size was also set to A4.  Word does override some printer driver settings, but in this case both the application and the printer were set to A4, so there should have been no issue.
    On a hunch, I then changed the CreatePDF printer driver to a Xerox Phaser, as suggested in the above Adobe document for other versions of Windows.  (Couldn't find the recommended "Xerox Phaser 6120 PS", so chose the 1235 PS model instead.)  After confirming that it too was set for A4, I repeated the test using the same Word document.  This time the result was fine.
    While I seem to have solved the issue on this occasion, I have not been able to do sufficient testing with a 5-PDF trial, and wish to avoid similar problems with the future live users, all of which use Word and A4 paper.  Any information or recommendations would be appreciated.  Also, is there any information available on the service's sensitivity to different printer drivers used with the CreatePDF's printer definition?  And can we assume that the alternative "Upload and Convert" procedure correctly selects output paper size from the settings of an uploaded document?
    PS - The newly-revised doc cpsid_86984 still seems to need further revising.  Vista and Windows 7 instructions have now been split.  I tried the new Vista instructions on a Vista SP2 PC and found that step 6 appears to be out of place - there was no provision to enter Adobe ID and password at this stage.  It appears that, as with XP and Win7, one must configure the printer after it is installed (and not just if changing the ID or password, as stated in the document).

    Thank you, Rebecca.
    The plot thickens a little, given that it was the same unaltered Word document that first created a letter-size PDF, but correctly created an A4-size PDF after the driver was changed from the HP Color Laser PS to a Xerox Phaser.  I thought that the answer may lie in your comment that "it'll get complicated if there is a particular driver selected in the process of manually installing the PDF desktop printer".  But that HP driver was not (consciously) selected - it became part of the printer definition when the manual install instructions were followed.
    However I haven't yet had a chance to try a different XP system, and given that you haven't been able to reproduce the issue (thank you for trying), I will assume for the time being that it might have been a spurious problem that won't recur.  I'll take your point about using the installer, though when the opportunity arises I might try to satisfy my cursed curiosity by experimenting further with the manual install.  If I come up with anything of interest, I'll post again.

    Hi there,
    Specs: as per Qosmio X 300. SSD 110GB, pentium core 4 extreme, 4 Gb RAM, plenty free storage on SSD (29GB), NVidia drivers with primary being GE Force 9800 M GTS, Direct X10.  there is also a note down the bottom saying that if i have linked graphic cards (whihc i do i believe there are three), that i can expect better perfomrance with some software.
    Ok I aplogise from the outset, i am a layman and not that techie. K.  So the issue that I upgraded recently (last week) from vista ultimate 64 bit to windows 7 64 bit. ultimate.  For the main, I am reasonably happy with the outcome in most areas - except gaming that is. I have increased speed and agility and the processor is now rated at 7.2. WEI. overall the laptop is rated at 5.8. however, getting back to teh reason for writing, I have nothing negative to say about windows 7 (as compared to its predecessor) apart from wishing to resolve my game crash issue. which usually occurs about 15 mins - 20 mins into a game and comes in the form of a shutdown ? BSOD from whence the laptop reboots when prompted at on/off and wants to know if to start normally or in various safe modes. I have noticed that the laptop does become very hot at the back (around the fans) prior to teh shutdown, and i am wondering if this is an overheating issue, and how to resolve if this is the case. the only other thing i have noticed that seems untoward is that i have apparently lost a wireless jump start driver from the upgrading process which i cannot find anywherre, and may be totally unrelated to this issue anyway.
    All i want to do is play the games i could play on windows vista ultimate 64 bit. these include: Sims 3, sims 3 world adventures, sims 3 ambitions, highloft end stuff, and Bioshock. Oddly enough, i have played sid meyers civillisations revolutions IV (the latest one) with no crashes, and i havent tried ANNO 1404, but fear a similar fate may await this game as some of the others.
    Addditional information:
    everything is as i described it above, however the screen does not go blue but black,and the laptop shuts itself down,  laptop acts as if hibernating mode? (these are guesses) or some mechanism geared at preventing over heating - the back becomes very hot.  the machine can be rebooted from normal mode but comes up firstly with a screen suggesting that the laptop was incorrectly shutdown, and offers options as to safe mode, normal etc. i have been starting normally with no adverse effects.   This is scenario one.
    scenario two ends up similarly at teh reboot stage, but gets there differently. i play the game and the screen freezes, unable to move touchpad curser, unalbe to use ctrl alt del to get up task manager. end up having to crash to reboot.
    I am quite frustrated and very reluctant to mess around with things that i dont understand (dont want to make the problem worse!). I am happy to attemtpt to follow your good explicit advice.
    the only other negative thing i am expereinceing is screen flicker on internet. I have changed my power mode from high performance to balanced to try to nullify the overheating issue but i now am noticing this screen flicker which is irriating and appears on keystroke, or cursor movement.
    Please note well:  I am a layman, not a technician! Please explain in easy to (dummy) terms! Thanks!
    kind regards

  • Hard Disk issue with Toshiba Satellite P755-S5390

    Well, I'm at my wit's end on this one so after several months of searching for an answer I'm presenting this one to my fellow Toshiba users.
    I have a Toshiba Satellite P755  that I purchased around March of 2012 so it is well out of warranty unfortunately. I'm having an odd issue that could just be a faulty hard drive but I wanted to see if anyone had any similar experiences with their Toshibas that might lead this to be a recurring issue with other Toshibas.
    The first symptoms my laptop experienced were the computer locking up and the hard drive light staying lit constantly. This first happened right after I was using WIn 7 disk management to shrink the main partition so I could create a second partition. The exact step this happened at was when I had already shrunk the main partition and had just finished creating the second partition. It hadn't even refreshed the disk management screen when it just locked up completely.
    I left it locked up for almost a half hour and then did a forced shutdown and when it came back up it was really slow and the hard drive light was staying lit constantly. Eventually it wouldn't even start up and the drive light still stayed on constantly (not even blinking, just solid on).
    My first thought was obviously hard disk failure so I grabbed a spare that should have worked perfectly as it was just harvested from a perfectly fine little netbook. I popped the drive in and reinstalled Win 7 and it worked fine...for a few weeks. Then it did the exact same thing except this time it eventually just wouldn't recognize any boot media. I cursed my bad luck in having two failed hard drives and used an older one that I had spare that, as I recall, worked fine when I harvested it from the old laptop it came out of. It worked again...for a couple of days. Then it did the same thing as the first (hard drive light staying lit, not responding hardly at all). I even hooked all these little laptop hard drives up to my file servers SATA ports and they loaded fine and I was able to back stuff up.
    My dilemma here is that I know it could just be that I was using old hard drives and maybe by some chance they all failed because they were old but I'd hate to buy a new hard drive if that's not the problem.
    Has anyone had any similar experiences with their Toshibas? I even tried testing the RAM and even removing one module at a time. I also tried pulling the battery and running it straight from the charger thinking maybe it was shorting something out.
    As an additional note. One interesting thing that happened after the third drive went bad was that I plugged in the original hard drive thinking I could further troubleshoot and it worked perfectly fine for about a month. It then proceeded to do the same thing again. That's about where I am now. The only other thing I did was yesterday when I pulled the battery and tried it. It did respond very well for at least long enough to almost finish the reinstall to factory partitions but it failed at the last minute and rebooted. It then loaded the Windows startup screen and locked up with the hard drive light staying lit solid.
    Sorry for the novel but I wanted to make sure all my troubleshooting steps were documented so no one suggested those. My last step is to pop in another used drive and install Ubuntu and see what happens then.
    Solved!

    How did you reinstall Win 7 on the replacement drive?  Did you use the the Toshiba Recovery Disks you should have created as per the directions on page 74 of your User's Guide, following the recovery directions on page 76, and return your unit to its factory default out-of-the-box setup? What happens if you return your unit to its factory default set up? This is considered the gold standard test on whether you have a hardware problem/failure, as opposed to a driver-software-conflict problem.
    You seem quite familiar with Windows Disk Management software, yet you don't mention running the built in disk 'Error-checking' utility.
    If you believe you may be suffering from some kind of hard drive problems, this would seem a logical step. You can access this utility by clicking on 'Start' -> click on 'Computer' -> right click on 'C:' drive -> click on 'Properties' -> click on the 'Tools' tab -> under 'Error-checking' click the 'Check now...' button -> put check marks on both the 'Automatically fix....' and 'Scan for...' options -> click the 'Start' button. The utility will inform you it can't be run now and ask if you want to schedule for the next restart, agree and restart your computer. Depending on the size of your hard drive and the problems the utility may encounter this could take from 20 minutes to several hours.
    Let us know what happens. Good luck.

  • Yosemite Issues on Macbook Pro mid 2009

    I have a macbook pro with a 2.8 Intel Core 2 Duo and 4 GB of Memory. I have more than enough HD space. Ever since I upgraded to Yosemite, I have been having issues with running my mac. It runs super slow, every program takes 5 minutes to open. If I open iTunes and iPhoto, I might as well walk away and come back later.
    This issue only started happening with Yosemite. Is my system to old to handle it? Do I need to upgrade or what can I do. I'm a web designer and user Photoshop and all of the adobe programs a lot. I can't sit and wait 10 minutes to open a program, please help.
    Thanks,
    Francisco

    Hey, I do not have the exact same problem but trying to update to 10.9.2 causes my macbook to be stucked in black screen + curser after boot up. I have looked through forums for an answer but nothing worked for me (such as reboot, reset NVRAM, disk verification, disk/permission repair,  password entry, control-option-command+8, fresh osx 10.9.2 install). To be sure that my disk is properly working, I have installed the original snow leopard os, this worked fine. I also could access the recovery console.
    To be able to use my mac I have now restored to 10.9.1 from my TM backup. Dont know if I should report this strange behaviour to Apple. Maybe there are others who have discovered the same issue?
    Let me know pls.
    cheers.

  • Table of Contents Issue/Question

    Hi everyone, I hope I can put my question accurately into words.
    I'm working on a 450 page product catalog in Indesign CS5 for the mac.  The catalog has 7 main sections, in which there are numerous smaller sections. I need to create a table of contents for these smaller sections, however, my issue is this;  my table of contents is based on the product names which I've applied a paragraph style to, but, also included on the same line that the product name is, are several small icons.  I used the library function to put these icons into place.  I put my curser where I wanted the icons to be, went to the library, right clicked on the icon I wanted, and selected place item.  I found this to be the easiest way since there were approximately 1500 products in the catalog.  So, my issue is, now that I'm creating a mini-table of contents for these numerous sections, the icons are included in my table of contents, which I don't want.  I can manually go in and delete each icon, but I'm thinking there has to be a faster way.  I thought of possibly a grep style but can't figure out how to make that work.
    Any help would be appreciated!  It's going to take a while to delete each one of those.  I hope I've described this accurately; please feel free to ask any questions if it's not clear.
    Thanks so much!
    Annette

    Oh my gosh, that did it!  Thank you sooooo much!
    I couldn't figure out how to choose just those characters because I hadn't designated them as anchored objects; that was throwing me, but I guess Indesign saw them as such.
    Thanks again, you've saved me hours of work!
    Sincerely,
    Annette

  • Spry menu hover issue

    I have a vertical spry menu bar and it opens up to the right
    over the text on the page.
    In Firefox it displays correctly, but in iExplorer, when the
    cursor hovers over the drop down menu, it only stays highlighted
    and open when the curser is directly over the text in the spry box,
    or if there is no text on the page. But when the cursor is over
    empty space in the box and there is text on the page behind it, the
    box closes.
    How do I fix this?

    Hello Beth,
    The piece of CSS you see there is actually a fix for Internet Explorer 6. It has bug where form elements such as selects will go through divs and other elements, in this case the <ul>'s of the menu bar. To resolve this issue, a iframe is generated and carefully placed under the <ul> elements. This way the form elements will no longer pass through the <ul>'s
    If you menu is no where near a form element you could remove the iframe generation code form the javascript and savely remove that related stylesheet rule. But i do not recommend such practices. But that would be the only fix for the validation issue. Well.. Thats not true actually you could apply those styles through JavaScript... So that might actually be another option.
    So it all depends on how hefty you weight validations. Validations are guid lines. Because a page doesn't "validate" it doesn't necessary mean the page is doomed and will crash all browser that comes on its path . But clients are usally verry narrow minded. So good luck with that .
    So without further ado, the fixes:
    - do nothing as it doesn't harm your page, it merly fixes internet explorer.
    - removal of the iframe from JS:
    line 289, remove:
    if(Spry.is.ie && Spry.is.version < 7)
         this.createIframeLayer(menu);
    line 317, remove:
    if(Spry.is.ie && Spry.is.version < 7)
         this.removeIframeLayer(menu);
    - move the css to JavaScript:
    line 243 find:
    layer.style.left = menu.offsetLeft + 'px';
    layer.style.top = menu.offsetTop + 'px';
    layer.style.width = menu.offsetWidth + 'px';
    layer.style.height = menu.offsetHeight + 'px';
    and add under:
    layer.style.position = 'absolute';
    layer.style.zIndex = 20010;
    layer.style.style.filter = "alpha(opacity=0.1)";
    Happy hacking

  • Issue with Data Provider name in variable screen for BEx Analyzer

    Hello all,
    We got an issue with Data Provider name in Variable screen in BEx Analayzer.
    We want to change the DataProvider name there to Description of the report instead of its Technical name.
    Any inputs are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    You have to create a workbook to do this.
    Refresh your query/report. In Bex analyser, there is one toolbar named BEx design toolbox, If you are not able to see it in analyser, right click on the toolbar space of BEx analyser and click on BEx design toolbox. Here, goto to design mode, by clicking on a sysbol like 'A'. after that place the curser where you want to see the Query description. and click on insert text (T) in BEx toolbox. click on it and check "Query description" in constant tab. in the general tab you need to assign a dataprovider, for that assign your query name in workbook settings (in Bex design toolbox). also check the "display caption" in general tab.

  • IMac Problem - Crazy Curser

    Hey Forum,
    I hope you can help with me this problem I have been having with my brand new iMac 27" desktop. Its only two days old and sometimes when I am using it the curser goes crazy and starts jumping all over the screen uncontrollably and clicking. I have tried turning the bluetooh mouse off when this happens but still no joy so maybe I am thinking its an issue with software?
    Any solutions would be great.
    Thankyou
    Eddy.

    I now have a mouse mat which is black, the mouse originally was on the wooden desk so hopefully this will make a difference and stop the issue. I do have a wired mouse which I can try if it occurs again. The mouse setting is fine, nothing that would make it go crazy and start moving and clicking everywhere erratically.
    The only reason I thought it wasn't the mouse is because when this occured I turned the mouse off manually underneath and the curser was still clicking and moving everywhere like crazy..
    Hopefully this will solve the issue but if not I will try a wired mouse and if still no luck will come ask for more help.
    Thanks,
    Eddy.
