Cursor Mouse Over on Frame (Container) Reveals Frame Edges

I just installed InDesign CS5 and everything is fine, but there is a set preference that I want to remove that causes the edges of the Frame(s) (or Containers) to light up as I move my mouse cursor over them.
I personally find this really annoying and can't seem to find a way to turn that default setting off.
Any advice?

Seriously, you can't turn it off, though it apparently doesn't show in Presentation mode. I think eventuyally you get used to it, and even come to like it. I find it pretty handy now and then.

Having a wierd problem. When you run the mouse over HTML
links on the page a single frame of the flash movie apears at the
top center of the page. It only happens in netscape in firefox
mode. IE, Opera, and Firefox do not have the problem.

The problem goes away if i modify my .css file by removing
the
border: 1px solid #999999;
line from the "a:hover" style.
I ran my css file thru the validator at w3c and its fine. The
Page also validates as xhtml transitional.
and just a note the same file version is on my public server
and my testing server.
Has anyone ever seen this before?? I have several sites with
a:hover effects and flass media and have never run across this
before.

Mouse over for pop-up

Is it possible in Acrobat 8 to create a mouse over option that would reveal a pop-up? For instance, I have a map and I would like a persons name to pop-up when someone mouses over a state.

I would like to creat a popup in a PDF with Adobe Acrobat Profession Version 7 or 8.
Do you know how to create a popup which is normally invisible, only when the cursor is above a certain term then the popup is getting visible?
Do you know if it is possible to insert pictures or Power-Point-Screens in a popup on a PDF?

Mouse over button actions for newbie

The simplest fix is to change the DOCTYPE.
You're using a XHTML Transitional DOCTYPE.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
If you replace it with a HTML5 DOCTYPE

you'll eliminate most of those "errors".

When i mouse over an object on the page a white box shows up

I went to a foreign country last week and used their wireless connection. Now every time I put my cursor/mouse over an object on the page a white box appears. Typically when I used to do this, for example over a Google home page special occasion art, a box would appear under my mouse saying what that object was, but now I just get a vertical rectangle shaped white box. I uploaded the latest version of Firefox when I got back to the US, but it's still doing it. I don't have this problem with internet explorer or other browsers - it's just happening with Firefox. Please help!

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the <b>about:plugins</b> page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.

Frames with link to Struts do not render before mouse over in IE 7.0?

We have troubles with frames with link to Struts, which do not render before mouse over in IE 7.0? The application works fine with Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 6.0, we have analyzed the cause to be whenever
you refer to a struts 1.0 action in your frames, you'll see the frames underneath.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

The mouse is controlled by the OS so don't guess any app other than a mouse driver or OS X itself would be able to cause this sort of flicker issue.
Have you seen the following and is it what you are seeing? Maybe you could make a movie (Quicktime is great for this this to make a screen recording) - but not sure how to attach a movie to these discussions as mine is grayed out and can't be selected (to the right of the insert image). What kind of mouse are you using? Is the mouse driver up to date if it's a third party mouse?

LR 1.3: Some Hidden Panels Don't Auto-Reveal on Mouse-over

I'm generally pretty pleased with what's new in 1.3, but I have found one bug.
I often work in the Library Module with the left-hand panel closed, and I'm finding in 1.3 that it doesn't auto-reveal on mouse-over - I have to click the little triangle to bring it out. In other modules it works as expected.
The top panel (Module Picker) misbehaves in like manner in all Modules.
Right-hand panel and Filmstrip work just fine in all modules.
I'm using a Mac Pro with Tiger 10.4.11.
Anyone else seen this?

A frame containing table looses table info when overflow occurs!

Hi,
This is a case when text frame contains a table.
when we type some content in table cell such that the size of cell increases more than the size of frame, Overflow occurs( a small '+' mark in bottom right corner of frame), and table is no more visually present in the frame.
But the problem occurs when I try to access the table property of frame via. scripting (using JSX) by using below command:
oFrame.tables.length
where oFrame is the frame object.
Note that before the overflow when we can visually see the table in frame, the above call returns '1', but once the overflow occurs(such that table is no more visually present in the frame),
the above call returns '0'.
Is this some kind of Bug in Indesign?? How can I access the table in the frame which has overflow???
Please see the screen shots below, the first one is with just one word in table cell, and next is with more text resulting in overflow.
1) oFrame.tables.length returns 1

How do i change cursor when mouse over a Chart,Graph or Pivot table in 11g

I wanted to change the cursor shape from that hand to an arrow .
As we know whenever the mouse cursor rolls over any button or pivot table ,chart or graphs it changes to a Hand shape, i wanted it to remain in the default arrow shape.
This is for obiee 11g.

Well the problem you got is that the layout of a Container is null. You've got several options here.
1. You set a layout for your container like this
    Container content = new Container();
    content.setLayout(new FlowLayout());2. You use a different container that inherits from container like Panel or JPanel since this one already got a FlowLayout set.
Panel content = new Panel();or
JPanel content = new JPanel(); //better since you're currently mixing Swing components and AWT.

Change Cursor When Mousing Over Links In Plug-in Manager

As it stands, the links are blue - which is fine, but when you mouse over them the cursor doedn't change (nor does the link itself) so they don't look like they're hot. If the mouse doesn't change the link should or something (anything) so the user can tell they're links.

Special cursor in mouse over area

I am currently creating an application training for a rather
advanced piece of software. This software uses several different
cursors to indicate different actions in certain areas: for
instance a hand, a triangle and two arrows.
My question: is it possible in Captivate 1 to simulate this?
So can I specify a specific cursor for a certain (mouse over) area?
And if not, what would be the best way to work around this?

simply shorthand for "hope this helps". No big deal, but didn't
want you addressing me as HTH for the next five years.
Sorry, but the mouse cursor cannot be changed mid-slide. That
is, there cannot be two mouse cursors (the same image or different)
on the same slide time-line. If you want to display changing
cursors, you will have to either go to full-motion recording, or
split the action into multiple slides, then change the cursor at
the change of slide.

I have an 10 x 10 array of JButtons in my project. I was just wondering how do i find out which button the mouse cursor is over at any given time?
I was trying to get x y mouse coordinates but how do i know over which JButton I am?
