Custom Actions / Scripts

I would like to augment the Action Builder with custom Action Results, e.g. "Display a Message Box with the following message". Looking at the subdirectory in application's root there is a ScriptTemplates folder with the body for each script that comes with Designer, but this does not allow me to populate the dropdown list with new selections.

not meant to be a question - rather an announcement.

  • How to avoid custom action script link executing for all pages. It should execute for only custom list

    Hello all,

    I want to execute only to list not on all the pages. How i can acheive this. Please help
    var context =
    new SP.ClientContext.get_current;
    this.oWebsite = context.get_web();
    var collUserCustomAction =
    this.oWebsite.get_userCustomActions();
    var scriptLink = collUserCustomAction.add();
    scriptLink.set_name('Welcome');
    scriptLink.set_title('Welcome');
    scriptLink.set_description('Welcome to new custom script Link');
    scriptLink.set_location('ScriptLink');
    scriptLink.set_scriptSrc('~Site/Scripts/test.js');
    scriptLink.set_group('');
    scriptLink.update();
    Navaneeth

    Then Edit the list page add the script editor web part on the page . Copy the paste the script. Now it will affect the list only. Or else in your script just validate the list id.

  • Custom action in CRM ICWC Interaction Scripting

    Hi!
    I am trying to add custom action to CRM ICWC Interaction Scripting.
    As descripbed in <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/cf/3fd658ca8a11d6872e000086568e5f/content.htm">this topic</a> I have created java class file, packed it into jar file and saved to ICServer/root/WEB-INF/lib dir. But at runtime I am getting exception in the icserver log file - java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
    Log file also contains list of used jars but my jar file isn't in it.
    p.s. J2EE 6.40

    Hi Victor,
    OK, I'm not so familiar with CRM IC, but from a J2EE point of view you would have to define and deploy a J2EE Engine library, and then reference it from your application. Following links might be handy:

  • Custom calculation script for checkboxs

    Hello,
    Can anyone help me out with custom calculation script for this?  I have two mutually exclusive checkboxes that, when checked, I want to populate data into other text fields.
    If Checkbox1 is checked:
    Company1=Warehouse Alpha
    Address1=1234 Any Street
    City/State/Zip1= Los Angeles, CA 90020
    Contact Name1= Mr. Nice Guy
    Phone Number1= 213-854-8565
    Email1=[email protected]
    If Checkbox2 is checked:
    Company2=Warehouse Beta
    Address2= 5678 Awesome Blvd.
    City/State/Zip2= San Bernardino, CA 96545
    Contact Name2= Mr. Handsome
    Phone Number2= 909-824-8265
    Email2=[email protected]
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    So one has two check boxes and one wants them to be mutually exclusive. Name them the same and change the export value of the field. Try it and observe what happens as you check the different check boxes.
    You have described what happens if either box is checked but what happens when a checked box Is unckecked?
    One can place scripts in many locations. I would use a mouse up action for both the check boxes, use the same script for both check boxes.
    I would assume you are using the following names for the fields to populate:
    Company
    Address
    CityStateZip
    ContactName
    PhoneNumber
    Email
    // Mouse up action for both check boxes;
    // initial value for the fields:
    this.getField("Company"),value = "";
    this.getField("CityStateZip"),value = "";
    this.getField("ContactName"),value = "";
    this.getField("PhoneNumber"),value = "";
    this.getField("Email"),value = "";
    // test for check box value for selected box;
    if(event.value == 1) {
    this.getField("Company"),value = "Warehouse Alpha";
    this.getField("CityStateZip"),value = "1234 Any Street";
    this.getField("ContactName"),value = "Los Angeles, CA 90020";
    this.getField("PhoneNumber"),value = "213-854-8565";
    this.getField("Email"),value = "[email protected]";
    if(event.value == 2) {
    this.getField("Company"),value = "Warehouse Beta";
    this.getField("CityStateZip"),value = "5678 Awesome Blvd.";
    this.getField("ContactName"),value = "San Bernardino, CA 96545";
    this.getField("PhoneNumber"),value = "Mr. Handsome";
    this.getField("Email"),value = "[email protected]";
    // end Mouse up action for both check boxes;

  • Custom Action to change selected column's Background color for a table in CEWP

    I have a OOTB CEWP. When I insert a table to this, I would like to see a context menu that would give me an option to change the selected cell's/row's/table's properties like cell padding/cell spacing/background color etc.
    How can this be achieved using SP2013 ribbon's custom actions. It would be great if we could add all these properties on a separate contextual tab when row/cell/table is selected.
    Rajasekar A.C

    Hi,
    If the table in Content Editor Web Part, we don’t need to use SharePoint Ribbon to achieve it.
    We can insert some input button and use jQuery to change the table tr/td background color.
    The code like this:
    <style type="text/css">
    .highlight {
    background-color: red;
    </style>
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function () {
    $("#TableID tr").click(function () {
    $(this).toggleClass("highlight");
    </script>

    I am trying to install on Windows 7 Ent. and Windows 2012 (both attempts fail with same error).
    The VS 2008 shell piece was installed, however, as others have experienced the prereq check issue, I removed it from the input file in the setup folder, which resolved that piece.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.
    Regards, Zoeb Khan

    When installing the VS Isolated Shell, make sure the actual binaries (found on the root drive or where you extract the web installer) are installed. This will resolve the above error and also the Prerequisite issue that a lot of people are coming across.

  • SCSM2012 Beta installation problem: An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles

    I'm installing the SCSM2012 Management Server
    component on a SQL dev box.  During the installation, the very last step (Import Management Packs) fails with this error:
    An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles
    This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this role.
    I've already verified that the account I'm logged in with has SA access to the SQL database.  Windows 2008 R2 firewall is turned off.....
    Has anybody else run into this problem?

    I don't see anything indicative in the setup log.  The setup seems to get all the way to the part where it installs the management packs.  Then right after that is when the installation fails and it rolls back.

  • Setting timeout settings for Action Scripts

    We are using OIM 11gR1 along with the AD and Domino connectors. We are also using Action Scripts to perform some post create actions on the AD and Domino resources that get created by OIM. The action scripts are being invoked with the correct set of parameters and they do their job. However for both connectors, the connector server (Java connector server for Domino, .NET connector server for AD) times out when waiting for the script to complete. Our scripts are expected to take a long time (30+ seconds).
    Based on our testing, the AD connector times out in 30 seconds, and the Domino connector times out in 20 seconds. You would get the below exception in your Java Connector Server log file:
    Dec 4, 2013 2:36:41 PM org.identityconnectors.framework.api.operations.ScriptOnConnectorApiOp runScriptOnConnector
    FINE: Exception:
    java.lang.RuntimeException: Timeout waiting for action, process was terminated
        at org.identityconnectors.domino.WinJni._executeWinCommand(Native Method)
        at org.identityconnectors.domino.WinJni.executeWinCommand(WinJni.java:31)
        at org.identityconnectors.domino.ScriptOnConnector.executeCmdScript(ScriptOnConnector.java:143)
        at org.identityconnectors.domino.ScriptOnConnector.runScriptOnConnector(ScriptOnConnector.java:88)
        at org.identityconnectors.domino.DominoConnector.runScriptOnConnector(DominoConnector.java:316)
    Is there any way to configure OIM so that it waits longer for the action script to complete. The real problem over here is that if 2 users are being provisioned to AD and/or Domino simultaneously (we use access policies to trigger provisioning rules), then the connector (Java or .NET) does NOT invoke the action script for the second user if the action script for the first user times out. It does however create AD/Domino resources for all applicable users. This in itself is a defect - but I need a workaround.
    Looking at some old Sun Identity Manager documentation (which became Oracle Waveset), it seems that the entire OIM concept of action scripts has its origins in Sun Identity Manager/Oracle Waveset. And these products did support the notion of timeouts. Have a look at :
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19225-01/821-0092/bzbuc/index.html
    Does anyone familiar with Oracle OIM code know if custom timeouts are supported by AD and Domino connectors?
    Thanks

  • Is Import to DRM by action script the only way to build hierarchies?

    Hi,
    If I am getting by source file as a big generation wise excel format and even properties in excel sheet with large number of custom property field values.
    Is making a Import action script out of the excel to load to DRM is the only way, or do we hav any other option to load these hierechies to DRM from excel without going fpr manual efforts in making scripts one by one for large no of dimensions.

    hi, the import functionality can build hierarchies. It has a draw back of only building NEW hierarchies. So if your source master hierarchy is external to DRM, action script or API is best way, if it is to be automated. If this is only be imported/updated once a month the import can be used to create the "new" version. You can use then blend update your old version.

  • Flex with any ORM - Writing Model classes and action scripts redundant?

    Hi,
    I am using Hibernate with Flex. I have all my model classes
    as POJOs. Now if i have to access these POJOs directly from flex, I
    need to write action script reference classes for all my POJO model
    classes. Since mapping POJOs with action script reference classes
    is so mechanical, i am wondering if there is any tool to read all
    the properties from the POJO's and convert them to action script
    reference classes automatically. Is there any way that this can be
    automated?
    Thanks in advance.
    Chandu.

    If you use Granite Data Services, there's something called
    "gas3" (I think is the name). You may be able to use it even if you
    don't use Granite.
    I didn't care for learning how to use it (plus it uses
    Groovy, more needless stuff to learn I guess), so I can't say how
    well it works. I just wanted a simple custom ant task that
    generates ActionScript classes for my Java classes. So I ended up
    making my own. It's definitely not trivial but it's not that hard
    if you're very good with Java and reflection.

  • Using  FDM Import Action script to import data from ERPI table "tdataseg_t"

    Hi Experts
    I have extracted data from EBS using ERPI and loaded into the intermediate table "tdataseg_t"
    I am trying to use Import Action script within FDM to extract data from "tdataseg_t" table (where ERPI extract data is stored) as i could not use the normal import script.
    Requirement : I have to restrict the custom 2 dimension based on Account dimension.
    Dim Account
    Account = ???? ( i am struck here)
    If Account = 1000 to 5000 Then
    Custom2 = Right( product , 5)
    End If
    but , I could not find the exact syntax to call the Account dimension from the "tdataseg_t" table.
    Please Advise

    Hello,
    Importing data via a manual script defeats the purpose of ERPi. As it will not provide you an audit trail, drill-through/drill-back, etc.
    Your best bet is to use the default settings by the software. Just because it returns more records than you want is not a bad thing. You can conditionally change/alter the information either in an EventScript inside of FDM or by mapping the un-needed information to IGNORE.
    Thank you,

  • How to automatically create the custom migration scripts after recreating SSMA project?

    How to automatically create the custom data migration scripts after recreating SSMA project?
    There is number of tables ( big tables with BLOBS)  which I want to set up automatically to be migrated with custom migration scripts (replacing e.g. attribute named "FILE" with "TO_BLOB('') AS FILE" ).
    So the question is how to open MB file (I think that it should be standard db of some destktop RDBMS) ?

    Hi Roman.Pokrovskij,
    According
    to your description, we can use SSMA tool to migrate data from one database (including Access, Oracle and so on) to SQL Server via GUI or the scripts. There is an example about migrating Access database to SQL Server via the
    custom migration scripts, you can review refer to them.

  • Action script though batch client

    While importing data using Action Script, if we have properties with same label name which belongs to different namespaces, DRM is not able to identify which property it should actually point to. Generally when we run the script from UI, we manually select the correct property in UI.
    Now, what can be done to achieve the same functionality when we run the script from batch client.
    Suppose we have two properties, with same label name as ACCOUNTCODE which are present in two different namespaces,
    ESSBASE.ACCOUNTCODE
    CUSTOM.ACCOUNTCODE
    Now while importing the action script, system is unable to determine to which ACCOUNTCODE property it should point. What changes in action script or any other places  can be done to make the system enable to point to the correct property.

    Our client wants it this way only (having same property labels across Namespaces). Is this possible to have Property Names or Fully qualified Property Names instead of Labels in hierarchy export of DRM?

  • Can FC put action script in a 'code behind'.

    Once of the practices I do in FB3 is to move all my action script into 'code behind' files instead of having all the code in the mxml files.  Does FC have the option to do that (as part of the gen process) and if not, does anyone else who 'codes' instead of 'designs' feel that is a benefit?  I know I'd prefer it to be in a 'separate' as3 file.  Also, if I DO move the code into code behinds (I've not tried it yet), does FC have any issues reading the code behind?  I'll be trying that on a 'simple' project to be sure but figured I'd ask just in case anyone else wants to know...

    The two references cited helped answer questions about Adobe's overall philosophy and approach that came up as I worked a simple example down the design/development stack of tools from Illustrator (AI) to Catalyst (FC) to Flash Builder 4 (FB).
    Other questions that arose were:
    Each application (AI, FC, FB) contains tools for design with some degree of overlap.
    Will FC eventually include from AI (or Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and the FB design view all functionality needed for interactive storyboarding and skin generation?
    Is it the intent for FC to become the designer's tool and FB the developer's tool, at least for application design?
    The diagram in the Gumbo skinning spec shows that base components and their subclasses are typically implemented in AS and skins in MXML and recommends this as the preferred design pattern. Yet when I converted one of my groups (essentially a form) to a customized component, and exported the project into FB, I noticed that FC had generated a single mxml file (CustomComponent1 ...) and not a pair of files (an X.as file for the base component and an X.mxml file for the skins).
    For several reasons, wouldn't you want to generate separate files as depicted in the Gumbo diagram as a starting point for code customization?
    How does one develop custom components in FB (or using AI+FC+FB) and package them as a library so that they can be dropped into FC and used in the way that the current set of 5 components (button, hscrollbar, vscrollbar, text input and data list) are used?
    How will I integrate my hand-coded dynamic components for data visualization alongside more generic and static app components on an RIA page?
    How would I use AI+FC to design liquid layouts where children at each level often utilize constraints (i.e. top, bottom, left, right) between parent and child?
    For agile methodologies, how will refactoring the interaction or software design work in this new world where interaction designers are trying to maintain full control over appearance and interactive behavior?
    Finally, I would like to know what tools and steps Ely used to develop the component shown in the video. It would be instructive to turn that into a tutorial that we could walk through, step by step, in slow motion
    While I understand the arguments for separation of design and development as a workflow methodology, those of us with development and HCI/visualization backgrounds building research prototypes would like to see integration of the design and development tools (from the perspective of the workflow, not the architecture and code).
    As Jordan said, the direction you are heading is inspiring. Keep up the good work.
