How do I create a custom alert sound for ical on my mac????

Depending from your Role, for Exmample IC Manager:
-> Process Modeling
First Step for Creating the Alert:
-> Create Alert
-> New
Second Step:
-> Create Rule Polici
There you define the Conditions and the Actions
so the Alert is coming up the IC. You can test it and have to release it.
Read C78 CRM Interaction Center Building Block Configuration Guide;
there you will find an easy example an Page 59.

Custom alert for ASA Secondary Status

Hello All.
Here is our dilemma.
We need a custom alert. Something that will trigger an alert if our secondary ASA goes to a "Secondary - Failed" state.
If the primary is active and secondary is in a failed state, we may never know until traffic tries to fail to the secondary and is
unable to do so because it is in a bad state.
We are not looking to see if the secondary firewall goes down nor if it becomes the primary from a failure of the primary, but if
anything changes the secondary status.
To put another way, if the line from "show standby" shows "Secondary - Failed"
we need to know about it because it means redundancy is broken.
We need to know if this line changes from this status:
Other host: Secondary - Standby Ready
I believe there is a monitor in Orion for the load balancers called something like "not
standby hot" designed for the same thing. Basically we need the same type of
monitor for the firewalls.
Any ideas on how to go about making this happen????
All of the posts I have discovered relating to this topic only cover alerts/notifications on whether a pair of devices go from
active to standby and vice versa.
Is this even possible with the OID's on the ASA's?

Hi,
One option is to use standard AuditTrail functionality on that field, then you'll have the entire chronological history for the field to work the periodic alert logic from.

Creating customer alerts for BP

Hi all,
I would be very happy if someone could me.
We want to create an alert for open activity for BP in the ICWebGui.
For that, we customized the alerts and policy rule so that it will call our own Z class. (accoring to the OSS).
But we dont know what to implement in that class. The class inherites from CL_CRM_IC_F_G_TRANS. Can someone explane the execute method and the purpose of the class and what else should be done.
Can anyone give an step by step alert implementation via CRM2007?

Custom alerts for different mail accounts?

Is there a way to set up different ringtones/alerts for different Mail accounts? I'd like to make my personal and business emails ring/vibe differently.

Nope, as you look in your settings mail only has one option to change the sound and thats for any mail that is recieved.

Continuing alerts for iCal Events after canceling

Hello everyone,
I suspect what I'm about to describe is a bug, but hopefully I'm wrong and there is a setting for this. For any iCal Events I have, which are typically listed as all day events, I get continual reminder notifications even after CANCELLING. Anyone seeing this? Is there a way to stop it or do you think this is a bug.
FYI, I do have calendar turned on for iCloud, but not reminders. This happens on both my Macbook Pro and my iMac.

OK...I've found the culprit and an easy workaround. First, Desktop Manager for Mac is the problem. If you set any event alert reminders in iCal to "Message and Sound" you'll get both the message and the sound on your Mac, but Desktop Manager for Mac mangles this somehow when the event is synched to the BB. The event makes it over, but when the event is selected on the BB and opened, the alert is set to "None".
To fix this, simply change all event alert reminders in iCal to "Message" (without the sound) and re-sync using Desktop Manager now the events on your BB have the same alert parameters as in iCal and their alerts now popup when scheduled and they have an audible sound.
Come on, RIM...Mac users deserve better than this. It took you 12 years to get us a real (well almost real) Desktop Manager, so now give it the same features as you provide in the Windows Desktop Manager. But since I know nothing in this forum ever makes it to RIM...we'll have to hope they figure this out on their own.

Automatic alert for iCal entries

Is there a way to set an alert automatically for every event I make in iCal? I'd like every event to have a message alert 15 minutes before it is due. It is frustrating to do this by hand for every event. Thank you for your help.

There is a way. In Settings => Mail, Contacts, Calendar you can set the default alert time to 15 minutes prior. This will apply to any new event you make. I don't believe there is a way to batch change the alert time for events already set, hoowever.

How do I create a Calendar custom repeat or custom alert other than the choices given?

I would like to create a custom repeat for my calendar such as every 6 weeks or, every other month or whatever choice - - the only choices are "Every Day, Every week, every 2 weeks, every month, every year"? I would also like to create a custom alert for 2 weeks before or 10 days, etc and there is no "custom" option???

Whenever you find out let me know. I wanted to assign a text tone to someone and now in iOS 7 i can't. Or I haven't figured this out yet.

Why is ical creating unwanted alerts for all-day events?

If anyone can point to what might be going wrong here I'd be grateful. This is becoming a daily irritant. I have a number of all-day events listed for most week days in my diary which help me to know what is happening that day with childcare for my son. I don't need alerts to be reminded of these - they are just notes I put to myself in adavnce that let me know how my day is configured. Now, I sync my ical from my home imac to my work imac, my macbook, my iphone and my ipad. On none of these devices do I have default alerts set. I never set any alerts for any of these 'events'. But then, at 9am the day before each one I get an alert. In fact, I get a 9am alert for any all-day event, regardless of whether I set an alert for then, or at all. As I say, I've checked all devices and the default alert a=on all is set to 'none'. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I stop it?

Alerts for recurring events in iCal no longer display on iPhone after iOS5 upgrade

That pretty much says it. I have a daily meeting in my iCal, with two alarms set, one for 15 minutes before and one for 5 minutes before. The alerts no longer display on my phone after the upgrade. (They appear on my Mac no problem.) Has anyone else seen this problem? I have notifications turned on for iCal , set to Alerts. Tried badges, tried turning notifications off then on, to no avail. It doesn't display for recurring events that were in my calendar before the upgrade and for those created after the upgrade. I don't seem to have a problem with regular i.e. non-recurring events. Doesn't seem to matte also if it is the default calendar or a different calendar either. (I tried Reminders and that worked fine, but I don't want to have type all of my recurring events in to iCal and then in to Reminders as well....)

I'm having the same problem on my iMac (works on a different phone on my MBP). I restored the iphone and no dice. I'm also constantly getting a beach ball... Hope someone out there knows a workaround.

Curve 9360 custom sound alerts for messages will not work. Tried EVERYTHING.

I have a brand spanking new BlackBerry Curve 9360 that just arrived yesterday. It is great apart from this very frustrating small prob. I can not customise my message alerts for individual people in my address book. When I click on "try it" only the LED button flashes and there is no sound or vibration. I am trying to get the sound and vibrate to play as "active profile" but it just won't. I can override it and have custom volume and vibrate that plays no matter what the profile but as I sometimes like to set my main profile to vibrate or silent, it won't do.
So far, to fix it, I have tried:
Wiping profile and sounds from the blackberry software
Full factory reset
Creating my own profile and using that instead of "normal" or any of the other preset ones
Loads of battery pulls before and/or after any changes
I have also had a few different people text me to make sure the problem isn't just the "try it" feature. It isn't. The sound that plays is always the default message sound for whatever the default profile is.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

I have also experienced exactly the same problem.
The profile is set on normal, with the ringer volume on 10, the ring tone has been selected, and I have also selected the option of the vibrator along with the ring tone.
Now here is the problem, initially it rings and works perfectly, however it seems to automatically turn off the volume so the LED light keeps flashing, however there is not ring tone or vibration.
If you select the "normal" profile or any other profile and change the ring tone or the volume, and click on the try it icon at the bottom, it still only flashes the LED, with no sound.
Have tried everything that you have mentioned in your email, however still unable to rectify the issue. the only way to rectify is it to hard stop the BB, by pulling out the battery and restarting the Blackberry.
Can anyone help or suggest what needs to be done ?

SQL query for custom alert view

I have created a custom alert view and scoped to show alerts related to group of servers.
Alert view Criteria: Resolution State - New, Severity - Warning and Critical, Group - "Group 1"
I am trying to query the Operations Manager database to show the alerts with same criteria using below query.
select MonitoringObjectName, ResolutionState, Priority, Severity, TimeRaised, TimeAdded, TimeResolved, AlertStringName, AlertStringDescription from AlertView where ResolutionState = '0' AND (Severity = '2' or Severity = '1')

in Console i see both warning and critical alerts where as in SQL query output i see only critical alerts. Could you please correct if I am using wrong query. also please share your suggessions if i am completely wrong on this.

your query looks perfectly fine. Are you sure if the alerts you see in the console are of the 'Resolution State =0' (New). It might be the case where the alert have moved to a fidderent resolution state.
Also, take a sample warming alert from console, query for the same in DB and check the Severity value. If it is '2'.

Custom ALERT TONE for iphone need HELP please.

I understand how to create a custom TONE as an M4R file and import into itunes into the TONES library.
When i sync my TONES to my iPhone, it lists as a RING tone.
My custom ring tones, which are approximately 10 sec long work just fine when set as my RING tone for incoming calls.
HOWEVER ....
What i am DESPERATELY trying to do is create a custom ALERT tone and have it LIST as an ALERT tone in my phone and NOT a ring tone. Seems custom tones do not work for sms alerts.
I searched EVERYWHERE and can not seem to find an answer. I realize apple wants us all to BUY alert tones, but i should be able to create my own too no?
I created some custom alert tones, approximately 1 sec long each. Converted them to M4R files and sync'd them to my phone.
In my phone they appear under the RING TONES list and not ALERT TONES.
Maybe this dosent matter, however, when i try to set my TEXT ALERT SOUND to one of my custom ALERT tones, they do NOT work. My text messages come in without playing the sound.
Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME figure out how to properly create a TONE as an ALERT TONE for my iphone?

I've never been able to assign custom tones under alerts. It doesn't matter though as you can assign ringtones as alerts as of iOS 5 I believe. I had a similar issue with silent alerts, sometimes they would play, other times theywouldn't, but they would always play when selecting them under settings. Resetting all settings (not content) has so far fixed that issue for me. Try resetting your settings after you've synced your tones.

New namespace for custom alert types

Just fyi, so far, when creating custom alert types and generating the necessary DB tables containing alert data, the tables could only be assigned to standard SAP packages due to name space checks running at table generation. However, it is desireable to generate the tables of customer-relevant alert types into customer packages. A note was created to make this possible. If you create custom alert types, please check OSS Note 1519907 for further information.

SALERT_CREATE -custom alert creation for validation

Hi,
I have done one scenario,in which i have used the custom alert creation calling the SALERT_CREATE function module from my udf.That is doing fine but now i have an understanding problem that, in the udf we need to use one RFC receiver comm channel,what is the use of that.As the function module we access is already present in PI server itself.
In case of RFC lookup when we access RFCs from remote server there we need one RFC receiver comm channel..that is valid but why in this case.
Can anyone please clarify me.
