Custom file names of B2B generated edi files

All,
We have an outbound 834 EDI being implemented and there are two SOA Composites processing these based on some business case and we have a requirement of naming B2B generated edi files for trading partners in the delivery channels based on the SOA composite that processes the outbound transaction. Is there a way of naming these edi files based on the SOA composite that created/processed it? For example:
TP_834_CompositeA.edi
TP_834_CompositeB.edi

From my understanding, the delivery channel in B2B does not take variable for Filename format. Also it is not possible to dynamically assign the delivery channel to TP Agreement. The only option could be using Java callout in the TP Agreement.

How to retain input file name in b2b

Hi,
I have requirement in the project where I need to flollow below steps
1) pick up file -> transform into binary format -> push into JMS queue
2) b2b channel listen to JMS queue -> transforms into text format -> creates .text file format.
Every thing is working as expected however the issue is b2b is able to generate the file name is didn't match with the input file name though I have mentioned preserve file name option in b2b target channel.
How can b2b generate/retain the file name which is same as picked up input file name by FTP adapter.

Can I create an automatic custom file save name/path once I click digital signature field?

Hi,
What I'm trying to do is once I click on a digital signature and I add my digital signature it requires me to sign it. I want to know if there's a workaround to where once I click it it will automatically save to a file name based on a field and to a pre-determined directory? Say, if I want it to save to a users desktop. My supervisor is wanting to eliminate his employees having to change the file name to the format he wants and selecting the save location and make it automatic for everyone to have it saved at the same location on their computers.
Will likely have everyone in the office create a folder named 'Leave Requests'. This will be the location on the desktop where all these automatically saved files would go. The custom file name would be Emp_Name + "Leave Request" + Date where Emp_Name and Date are 2 variables that are user inputted field values on the form. I have looked around but there doesn't seem to be too much on this one. I do realize I can't create a custom 'Save As' location and path name but I have read a little about creating a custom automatic save feature and wanted to know if I could implement that. Action hard codes custom file name

I recorded an action to crop and save for web. I have done this 1000's of times over the years, but in CS6 it is hardcoding a Custom File Name, and in the wrong format too boot.
I am saving as JPG only and accepting the default name, which should leave me with an action that has no custom name, yet it does, and the custom name is of an HTML file name.
So, when I run my action, it names every single file the same name, and never creates a jpg.
This is a new bug in CS6. It wasn't here before.
I can't figure out how to get around it????

Figured out a way to work around this, but it is irritating. Instead of my action doing this:
Flatten
Crop (user interaction)
Save For Web
Close (without saving)
I have to do this:
Flatten
Save as JPG (in same directory where I want the Web file to go)
Crop (user interaction)
Save For Web (Over top last saved file)
Close (without saving)
For some reason, when I use the save as JPG, it doesn't custom code the file name and when I save for web in the same place it also doesn't custom code the file name.
I never had to do this before in all the years of using this type of action, and I use it ALOT!
I have found that it sometimes does not hardcode the file name, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason.

Custom File Name-Original File Number doesn't work. Why?

I want to export and rename some files with the "Custom File Name-Original File Number" option. Yet this doesn't seem to work, and I wondered what I might be doing wrong. The filename will only rename as the custom text.
The sample file name shown underneath has a dash after the custom text bit, but then the extension only eg Newname-.tif
I am now using LR 4.2 but I seem to remember doing this renaming OK with an earlier version (though I can't remember which). This suggest that either there is a problem with this specific version or that I have something set differently to the way I had it initially. I am hoping the latter is the case. Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be welcome!

I am sorry to report that i don't know how to create a screenshot. However, what I am getting, exact;ly is this:
From Library grid view: F2 or Library>Rename Photo
Then little screen appears with heading Rename Photo:
File Naming> set to Custom Name - Original File Number
Custom Text> NewFilenameHere
Example: NewFilenameHere-.tif
Clicking on OK changes the filename to just the custom text without the original file number. Original File name shows in metadata eg DSC01129-Edit.tif
The only way i seem to be able to get the original file number with the custom text is to include it manually as part of the custom text.

Hi everybody,
I am confused. I have set up a custom file name (Menu Screen: "Set Up 1" -> "User Setting 2") with 3 individual letters and the used image size. I set it up as "RAW" so the output should be like "RAWL0001.cr2" but the filenames are always using underscores instead of the first custom letter: "_AWL0001.cr2".
I have also tried the "User Setting 1" which has 4 individual letters and no indication for the image size within the file name.
Same here.
What baffles me most, is that the manual states that it is not allowed to use an underscore on the first position.
Anybody an idea?

Export custom Service Name in networkConnect file?

I've successfully exported my VPN configuration in Network Preferences to a .networkConnect file. I plan to redistribute this to other employees at work. Everything imports fine, EXCEPT the custom name I've given the service. Instead, I get the generic "VPN (IPSec)." I've looked at the .networkConnect file in TextEdit, and have tried adding the custom name using
<key>UserDefinedName</key>
+<string>My Custom VPN Name</string>+
But this hasn't worked. Anybody know how to do this? There must be a way...

Custom File Accesor implementation in 6.1 MP1

I have made an custom file accessor (IPTCustomFileAccessor) using the Portal Server API for a crawler that is crawling a news website. I found example of the implementation of a custom file accessor to ALI version 5 but it seems that it does not go the same way in version 6.1.
Here is what I have done:
1. copied my custom accessor .jar file to <PORTAL_HOME>\accessors\customfa.jar2. Created accesors.xml to <PORTAL_HOME>\settings\config with following content:

</accessorlibs>3. After that restarted the Portal. When the portal is starting it gives me some error about 5.0 configs not suitable in 6.1
After that I tried to use the 6.1's dynamic loads:
1. I created a new folder named accessors to <PT_HOME>\settings\portal\dynamicloads and moved the accessors.xml to that location
2. Restarted the portal and then I get an error message:

Custom File Finder

Hi everyone,
I am trying to build a custom file finder to search for my mp3 files on my computer. As you can see my nickname, I am a DJ, so I have lots of mp3 files on many directories on my PC and sometimes it's difficult for me to find the song I am looking for. I want to take advantage of JAVA to build my file finder. I am planning on having two command line arguments. One with the path string and another with the filename and extension. (Just in case I want to use to find other files than .mp3 such as .wma, and .avi.)
If you guys have any ideas how I can do this, please let me know. Also, if you have any example or references I can study from, I will really appreciate it.

Like I said before, I was trying to write a code to search for files on my computer. The program would ask me for the path, and also for the filename and its extension. After that, the program would scan the whole directory and after the whole directory was scanned, I would get a list of all the files in there and the path of the file I was looking for. (only if the file was found.)
After reading the file class, I got this code but I am not getting the path for the file. I only get the list of all the files on the directory. I think I got a logical error somewhere because the program is compiling and I am not getting run-time errors.
If anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix my code or knows how to improve it, please let me know.

Custom File Renaming Template Keeps Changing

I'm having issues when creating a custom file naming template in Tiger with LR 1.3.1.
When importing files, I created a custom template to rename the files with YYMMDD_{original file suffix}{Master}.tif to get this: 071217_12056Master.tif. The first import goes fine. But when I import another batch of files and choose the template all I get is 071217_Master.tif.
I tried creating the template by hitting F2 to rename the photo and get the same results. The really odd thing is that some of the other templates have their characteristics jumbled around so that what I thought was the "orig file-name" template might actually produce something like 071217_.tif.
The original file suffix suffers the worst in terms of disappearing without cause. This behavior was occurring in the 1.2 ver. as well. I've deleted every single template thru the editor, recreated them again and still get the errors.
Hopefully someone here can provide some clues?

It sounds as though your import preset either isn't working or wasn't setup correctly.
Using the full screen import panel, make sure Copy or Move is selected and then select your Import Preset....what does the File Renaming panel look like? "Rename Files" should be ticked, Template should read "Custom Settings" (or the specific rename preset if you've saved it) and the sample should show the correct rename format, like so:

Custom file chooser

Hello,
I need to design a custom file chooser. Infact, I cannot call it a file
chooser, because this is not accessing local system files. I am uploading
some files into a directory using ASP and I keep that file name in the database.
I can even upload directores and directores with files too into the database.
I need to display those files and folders in the "what is called as file chooser".
The List should work as it works in file chooser. i.e when I click on a folder,
it should show the files inside it. When I click on the file, the file should
be selected. Infact there is nothing in the file. Its all virtual only. Its only
the name that is selected.
I should be given an option to select "directories only" also.
The "file chooser" should not have show files of type, just the file name
text field only. The combobox should display "user added" string message. And
this is only one item in the combobox. I should be able to create folders, show
lists,etc... as it appears in the file chooser. (buttons beside the combobox)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Custom file info panel to xmp

I have a custom file info panel I use on an old version of photoshop, have 20gigs of pictures with data. with cs5 and 6 haven't figure how to convert except manually which would be VERY painful. Is there a conversion for file info panels to xmp? can I run creative cloud and still install an older version of photoshop?
