Custom HTTP 503 Error

Does anybody know how to customize the HTTP 503 error message output when the database is down?
Thanks.

Hi Joe,
Take a look at the ErrorDocument directive in Apache, for example -
# Customizable error responses come in three flavors:
# 1) plain text 2) local redirects 3) external redirects
# Some examples:
#ErrorDocument 500 "The server made a boo boo."
#ErrorDocument 404 /missing.html
#ErrorDocument 404 "/cgi-bin/missing_handler.pl"
#ErrorDocument 402 http://www.example.com/subscription_info.htmlHope this helps,
John.

  • Messages not sending images via iMessage http 503 error

    Hi all,
    Just wondering if this is a service issue or if i'm having unique issues.
    i'm able to recieve images people have sent me from their iphones, but when i attempt to send out an image from my laptop, it seems to fail.
    "The server returned HTTP status code: 503"
    (503 Service Unavailable - The server is currently unavailable (because it is overloaded or down for maintenance).Generally, this is a temporary state.)
    this would indicate that the server might just be overloaded, but i thought i would check to make sure there's nothing i can do.
    cheers.

    Hi,
    Potentially it could be one of three servers.
    1) Your ISP
    2) The iMessages server
    3) The server that is serving the Contact's iPhone.  (I think this is the most likely)
    I think the message is a bit of a catchall as I ma not entirely sure iMessages messages are sent using the htttp protocol.
    We could be looking at iPhones on carriers that don't have formal agreements with Apple and therefore may not have the ports that iMessages uses open for certain data traffic.

  • Content Server errors report HTTP 503

    Hello,
    I've noticed that upon any Content Server error (missing content, IdocScript error, etc), apache will report an HTTP 503 error, but still serve the page. Has anyone else seen this behavior, or know if it is configurable?
    This behavior creates a problem because we publish our Site Studio websites with SSPU and it fails deployments on 503 errors.
    Thanks for any advice,
    -Jason

    This is probably an error in the configuration of your content repository.
    Check the setting for your Content Server at OAC0 again.

  • Why does TCP tunneling remove http 503 response from async WS call?

    Hi all,
    I am facing a bit of a weird problem.
    I have developed and tested an asynchronous BPEL process which among other things invokes a 3rd party web service.
    It works fine in development environment.
    When I migrate to the customers test environment I get a http 503 error back to the BPEL process (only difference in the BPEL code is the endpoint to the WS).
    Trying to figure out what went wrong I used a TCP monitor to tunnel through. This solved the problem!
    So why does going through a TCP monitor running on the BPEL server help?
    Continuing with the TCP monitor in production is obviously not an option, so not only do I need to figure out why using a TCP mon helps, but also figure out how to fix the underlying issue.
    I should mention that I am using BPEL version 10.1.3.3, and that I have testet the connection between the BPEL server and the 3rd party web service and found no problem.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    In Metalink in "TCP Tunneling the Oracle BPEL Process Manager" (document id 283484.1) it is suggested to change the "opt-soap-shortcut" property in the "Manage BPEL domian" from false to true if you want to use TCP tunneling.
    I don't see this property in the BPEL console or in the domain.xml file found at $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/domains/<domain used>/config.
    Could this be part of the problem?
    The BPEL server in the customers test environment is a clone of the BPEL server in our development environment, so I don't see how this could be the problem.

    Hi,
    Status update: Accessing the remote web service from the BPEL server works fine if not done through BPEL.
    My current thinking is that the problem may be linked to port numbers and firewalls. Obviously, there is an opening in the firewall from my BPEL servers (installed on port 8888) and to the remote web service running on port 19313.
    However, sniffing at the connection between BPEL and the TCPMon it can be seen that BPEL is trying to make a connection in a range of ports in the 1400s (so far I have seen between 1454 and 1481).
    In the Oracle documentation at [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/core.1013/b28940/portnums.htm] there is a list of default ports.
    The 1400 range does not appear anywhere.
    So my thinking is that maybe the TCPMon goes through a static port, which is opened in the firewall, and BPEL is trying to go through a dynamic range which can get to the TCPMon but not to the remote service.
    Any comments, ideas or suggestions is most welcome.
    Regards,
    Aagaard
    PS: James - Thank you for the assistance. As always it was very helpful.

    The 1400 range may have to do with wireshark sniffer tool ...
    So that might explain it.

  • How do I create custom HTTP Error Pages for a Weblogic Server

    I need to be able to display custom HTTP error pages such as a 404 from my Weblogic
    Server when my web application is not deployed.
    Is this possible?
    I have seen some suggestions about putting something like:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>Error404.jsp</location>
    </error-page>
    in the web.xml for my web application but I can't see how that would work since
    the web application would not be deployed. I need to set these messages at the

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Your CategoryAxis id="ha_ccm" uses categoryField="period", and this is the label for the your series (i.e. "Quarter 4/2010"). You cannot have multiple categoryFields for the CategoryAxis; it can only use one data field for the labels. You can use data tips and/or label functions to show the individual series' values on the columns.
    Also:
    Your labelField in the ColumnSeries are set to a ColumnSet name instead of a field name in your dataprovider.
    Font must be embedded if you set ColumnChart.showLabelVertically="true".

    Hello,
    Have you checked if you are passing the correct content type by validating the generated SOAP request against the format the receiver is expecting? You can try using an HTTP diagnostic tool to analyze the HTTP header e.g fiddler.

    I have installed EP6.0 SP15 on one machine and Trex 6.1 on another machine.All the services are green in the Trex monitor.And also i am able to get a reply from http://host:30205/TrexHttpServer/TREXISAPIExt.dll?CMD=PING.Connection sucessful.While creating my first index in Index Administration i get this error message.
    "Index could not be created; creating index failed: HTTP server error: 503 (Errorcode 7266)."

    hi friends,
    I went through the settings of trex services on server and found out that even after installing IIS 6.0 it was showing the path of Apache that that is i think the reason that httpserver is green but it is not using the CPU resources.I will share the setting with you.
    [queueserver]
    executable=TREXQueueServer.exe
    arguments=-port 30204
    startdir=C:\usr\sap\trex_02
    starttime=5000
    instances=1
    #hp_32:environment=_M_ARENA_OPTS=1:256,_M_SBA_OPTS=512:100:16
    As the executable for queserver is there so it is using cpu resources.
    [apache]
    executable=httpd
    arguments=-d C:\usr\sap\trex_02/Apache -R C:\usr\sap\trex_02/Apache/libexec -F
    startdir=C:\usr\sap\trex_02/Apache/bin
    instances=1
    As there is no folder for apache in trex installation so i think it is not working.Please check the setting in Trex Administration->Configration->Choose name server and on the right botton of it is edit services.Double click it and you will see the settings as i have shown above.Please share the settings with me as i will be then able to work with trex.
    Do i have to install Apache instead of IIS6.0.Please guide me.
    Thanks

  • J2Se receiver File adapter-HTTP 503 no listener registered for service

    Hi,
    We are using J2Se file adapter for one the interfaces and the logs of the J2se adapter engine has shown the following error-
    Error: com.sap.aii.messaging.net.TransportException: HTTP 503 no listener registered for service /file/example_outbound
         at com.sap.aii.messaging.net.HTTPRequest.run(ServerHttpImpl.java:416)
    I checked with the J2SE File/FTP receiver adapter configuration given at help.sap and found the following the following info related to the error-
    Specifications for addressing by the Integration Engine
    ○       XI.httpPort=<port_no>
    <port_no>specifies the HTTP server port that receives the messages from the Integration Engine.
    ○       XI.httpService=<service>
    <service> describes the service part of the address where the Integration Engine must send its messages.
    These specifications are mandatory.
    If, for example, you have specified XI.httpPort=1234 and XI.httpService=/file/Receiver, the end point address of the file/FTP adapter in the Integration Engine must be specified as follows:
    http://<fileadapterhost>:1234/file/Receiver
    The end point address must be extended as follows for the Integration Engine in Release 1.0:
    http://<fileadapterhost>:1234/file/Receiver?action=execute&pipelineid=Receiver
    If the Integration Engine message is sent to a non-specified adapter service, the system displays the following error message:
    *No registered listener for <Service> found*
    The system displays the same message if the adapter is initialized, but has not been started (status STOPPED or INITIALIZED).
    Where I need to check this Integration engine address specifications. I have't found any of the above code in the adapter configuration which we are using presently.The interface is running successfully before but thrown this error now.
    Please reply me if some one has faced similar issue and get it resolved.

    Hi
    How was this issue resolved? I have the same problem.
    I only have two receivers - the deafult j2se file receiver and my newly created one which used the default as a template. The ports and service's are different.
    I've even tried deleting my custom receive adapter and using only the default one but i still get that error.

  • 503 Error Solution for Azure Websites- FYI

    Yesterday all of my sites went down because I had a spending limit on my account. I removed the limit and all of my sites returned a 503 error. Everything showed normal on the Azure Portal dashboard. I spent the last day trying to figure out the problem
    and implemented numerous trouble shooting steps, including creating a new website instance, restoring from a backup, etc.
    The solution that finally worked was that I went to the Scale Tab on the site instance, and changed the Web Hosting Plan Mode from Standard to Basic, and then back again.  My sites came back up with no 503 error.  This was VERY frustrating.
    Everything showed that the sites should be working.  I could FTP into them, but could not hit them with a browser (503 error).  I wanted to post this in case some other poor unsuspecting fool runs into this issue.

    Hi,
    Thanks for sharing.
    There are some difference between azure website Standard mode and Basic mode, not only the features but also pricing, refer to
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/websites/ for more details, if you encounter this issue, restart may be another choice.

  • 503 Error on test of web service

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.0.1 with WebLogic 10.3.
    I have created a J2EE 1.4 JAX-RPC with support for WLS web service, based on a simple java class. There are no custom mapping classes.
    I have successfully deployed to WBS. I go into WBS control and start the application. Then I attempt to run the test client, and get a 503 error.
    Help would be appreciated...
    Am I missing something simple here?
    thanks

    Hi Poojith,
    Thanks for your answer.
    The destination URL's are directly the web service WSDL URL. we configured the WSDL URL because we only have one web service consuming via the logical destinations.
    If I configure as destination URL: http://hostname:portnumber/inspection.wsil I get the same error
    If I check the URL http://hostname:portnumber/inspection.wsil it is working fine and show me the web service definitions configured on the system.
