Custom Parser for ESX version 3.5 machine
Has anyone done a customer parser for a VMWARE ESX machine running version 3.5 software?
We want the machine itself to report to MARS and we don't have any experience with the type of Device Event IDs which it produces. We are interested in things like login failures, account lockouts, and high CPU utilization messages.
Pointing me in the right direction would be a big help and would be rated very positively.
Thanks in advance.
Hi again,
I'm trying to write XML pareser implementing XmlParserInterface. I have implemented parse methods and used IfsXmlParser.CreateDOM to get parsed XMLDocument.
As far as I know, my xml parser should be instaneiated by IfsXmlParser, which in turn calls one of parse methods. The problem is that XmlParserInterface doesn't contain constructors to implement. For example, interface Parser has constructor with argument of type LibrarySession.
How I can get current LibrarySession from my XML parser? Should I implement both interfaces Parser and XmlParserInterface?
Thanks for any help,
Alexandre.
PS: are Java sources of iFS available somewhere? It would be helpful to get knowledge of how the things working. There is no documentation for creating XML parsers. I have only found about writing usual custom parsers in Developer Guide and a little in iFS API. But that is very scant. :(((

XML Parser for Java version 2.0.2.9
I can no longer find the XML parser for Java (version 2.0.2.9) for Sun Solaris and Oracle version 8.1.7.3. This would be the file xmlparserv2.jar for parser version 2.0.2.9
This file support the latest Oracle Applications work flow version and so is necessary but does not seem to be available. All notes on Metalink point to Techweb.
Thanks for your help. -Erik StromholtThis is covered by patch for bug 2199206. Thanks

Hello forum,
I want to put in iFS XML documents with binary content encoded in base64.
I have created "PrintedDoc" base on "Document" with new attributes: Name, Pages, PeportName.
I created test XML file and iFS parses it just fine.
This is an example of XML file:
<?xml version = '1.0' standalone = 'yes'?>
<PrintedDoc>
<Name> Angebot-Nr. 123 vom 12.06.2002.pdf </Name>
<FolderPath> /printed/Angebote </FolderPath>
<Pages> 3 </Pages>
<Format RefType="name"> PDF </Format>
<ReportName> Angebot </ReportName>
<Content>AABC-+.....AABCD</Content>
</PrintedDoc>
Now I want to decode content back into binary format and store binary data. I have written java class for decoding. I will write a parser that decodes base64 content into binary data.
My question: How I can register my parser for that xml document? I read about including namespace into document and registering custom XML parser, but this will give me the whole xml document as incoming data.
I would appreciate if you share your experience or give some hints.
TIA

Can you custom scan for any version
We are interested in finding out who has aim.exe on their
workstations.
When I try to create a custom scan, it asks for the version and file
size.
Is there any way to create a scan for just the executable, so that you
could
find any version of it?No, unfortunately, but, if enough of us request that feature...

Suggestion for next version of Time Machine
It would be really nice if the Time Machine drop-down menu had an option "Eject Time Machine Disk" I use time machine whenever I set my laptop down on the desk. Every time I take my laptop away I have to go to the finder and manually eject the disk. I probably do this 3 times a day.
So if you know any developers on Time Machine, please pass this suggestion along to them. Thank you.

I am trying to specify a custom XML parser for my application to use as the default BEA one does not work with Apache Axis.
I added the following to my weblogic-application.xml file:
<xml>
<parser-factory>
<saxparser-factory>org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl</saxparser-factory>
<document-builder-factory>org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl</document-builder-factory>
<transformer-factory>org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl</transformer-factory>
</parser-factory>
</xml>
I also updated the Manifest file for my EAR to include the following:
Class-Path: APP-INF/lib/xercesImpl.jar;APP-INF/lib/xml-apis.jar
This is not working. Any ideas?
Here is the docs i am following: http://edocs.beasys.com/wls/docs81/xml/xml_appscop.html#1075700Augie (guest) wrote:

I am not sure what parser or interface you are trying to use.
Our command line ones will print the output of the parse to the
screen. Our class files allow you to construct an in-memory DOM
Tree representation that can be programaticly accessed. Review
our samples to see how to do it.

Not unless you use our print methods or pipe our commandline

All of our XML Parsers for C, C++, and Java can work
independenmt of the database. However, only the Java version is
currently configured to work with the XML SQL Utility (also
available here) to get parsed data in and out of the database.
Download it and take a look.

What Oracle version for XML Parser for java
Is the XML Parser for Java only available for use with
Oracle 8i? Is it possible to use with Oracle 8.05
nullThe XML Parser for Java can be used with any of the supported
version JavaVMs. The only difference with 8i is that you can
load it into the database and use JServer which is an internal
VM. For 8.0.5 you simple run it externally and connect through
JDBC.

I want to create an application which uses the Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office. The office version of the target machine depends on what my customer has installed.
From several discussions I have seen that the installer detects which version I have on my development machine. I'm not able to hold three or four machines with different versions (97,2000,2002,XP).
I decided to do the following software architecture:
I create a LLB MakeReport.llb with a VI called MakeReport.vi. With VI server I will start MakeReport.vi in MakeReport.llb. Over a named queue I will send a command from my application to MakeReport.vi. Then the report will be
printed.
I will create this LLB by saving MakeReport.vi with File>>Save with options...>>Application distribution. All neccessary VIs will be in the LLB.
I will hold different directories for each version. I can create different version of the LLB. During installation of my application the LLB for the right version will be copied from the CD to the application folder.
I know I will be restricted in testing my report in only one version and hoping it will be good in the other versions.
I think that the difference lays only in the word and excel related llbs.
1. Will my software architecture work or is it obviously wrong?
2. How will I get all versions from the toolkit CD?
3. Which is the registry key I must read to get the right version (a minor question, if somebody knows I do not need to search for myself).

Using 7.1.1, 8.5.1, 8.6.1, 2009 on XP and RT
Don't forget to give Kudos to good answers and/or questionsLookout saves the files in .csv form which can be opened in Excel. I did make some progress by using the "append table to report" vi which allowed me to put values into an array and then those values were entered into my template on my report vi.
Where I am stuck now is I want to be able to put values into my template from a .csv file, not from an array I have to manually put numbers in.
Once those values are in my template I want to pull summed values from the template and place them into a final excel file for printing.
I have attached examples of the files I am working with to help you better understand what I am trying to do.
I hope that makes sense.

Hello!
I would like to request a custom bios for my laptop (MSI GE-60 2oc).
I have had problems with low CPU utilization after updating the embedded controller with official MSI firmware update. At the same time I was supposed to update the BIOS, but I couldn't, using the official driver found on MSI download center, since my system told me it's not the right version.
I wanted to try this new approach as a new bios might help, I figured. I can't find any downgrading for the embedded controller. Would a custom bios be good thing for me or am I doing this all wrong?
Current bios: E16GCIMS.509
EC firmware installed: 16GCEMS1.506
The BIOS update that did not work: E16GCIMS.611I know got my current version of BIOS and EC by MSI support so I will experiment with them. Downgrading to EC v. 5.00 helped I think. I have started to meassure now and the thing is that my GPU seems to have a real low core clock. The GT750m is marketed as 967 mhz but GPU shark and 3DMark 11 shows that I have 405 mhz. When playing Starcraft 2 I get real low FPS considering the settings (25 fps while playing medium quality and 1080p res.) hard to find comparing stats on the net. When meassuring with 3Dmark 11 I get a 2800 score which is comparable to other machines like mine.
