Custom presentation bean

Hi,
We have a requirement to also display our information spatially (on a Map).
What I would like to know is if it possible to create an additional presentation bean (additional to Table, Crosstab and Graph).
I am thinking of using Oracle MapViewer as a staring point for this.
Where will I start to accomplish this?
Thanks
Johan Barwise

I would start with the MapViewer JSP samples as these explain how to interact with the maps and explains about themes which are used to control the information displayed on a map. In terms of interacting with a BI Beans crossta/graph you would need to trap the event from the map and convert the spatial coordinates to dimension key values.
You could review the BI Beans Help documentation which explains the Query Model and how to use dimension values in selections.
Hope this helps

  • One Account Statement for customer present in more than one company code.

    Hi all,
    We have requirement of printing one account statement for customer present in more than one company code.
    Program RFKORD10 generates more than one statements for customer present in more than one company code.
    Please suggest if any customiztion or program changes need to be done for above issue.
    Thanks.

    If customer is present in more than one company code then you can config in different co codes.
    Now could you brief your requirement, i think you want to print only once and system should print in both company codes at one time. Is it like that?

  • Drilling in presentation bean blanks dim.value desc.

    Hi,
    I have made a Java application with a presentation bean (ver. 9.0.3).
    When drilling e.g. the "World total" column, upon refresh it removes the description for this column, but drills OK and descriptions for child-columns are OK.
    Is this a known bug, or something set up wrong in my environment?
    Best regards,
    Sverre Falch

    What type of presentation are you using (graph, crosstab, or table)? It sounds like from your description that you are using a graph. The default behavior in a graph is drill-replace, so when you drill on a dimension member you then see the children of that member. This is done in graphs because if you continually add data to the graph, at some point it is going to get hard to read.
    You can override our default drill behavior by using the drill API's on the query.

  • Trying to insert a custom visual bean gives me an error

    I've created a custom bean based on javax.swing.jpanel and it compiles fine. I've added it to the component panel as a visual bean but when I try to place it on a frame it throws me an error, which can be found below. I've definately had this visual bean working on another computer using forte but it may not be the same version of forte or java as on this machine. This machine has forte 3.0 and java 1.3.1. Other custom visual beans work fine. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Customizing Presenter Display on Keynote 6.0
    I use to be able to customize the presenter display but since I upgraded to 6.0 that option is no longer available. Does anyone know if presenter notes can be moved from the bottom od the screen to the top?
    Thank you

    Seems that you can't do it anymore. I am continuously bewildered and frustrated with Apple's approach to the latest iwork release. Why o why did they destroy such an awesome suite of tools, make them less intuitive and delete some of the most useful functions - the things that used to make them so much better than microsoft power point and word???

  • SNMP for custom M-Beans.

    Hi,
    About a year ago I asked this question both in the newsgroup and BEA
    support and I was told that the next Weblogic server release will allow
    SNMP exposure of custom M-Beans.
    Is this still in the works or has it been abandoned completely?
    Thanks,
    Dejan

    Hi Brian J. Mitchell,
    AdventNet ManageEngine JMX Studio product provides you to enable SNMP support
    for the Custom Mbeans and the deployment of generated SNMP agent in WebLogic
    server. This also helps you to monitor or generate traps for custom MBeans.
    For more informations, refer the following URL:

    Thanks Brian.
    I know that the documentation still says that it is not possible and
    I
    had an open Enhancement request with BEA more than a year ago to have
    this functionality included.
    At that time (it was before 8.1) I was told that their next version will
    have the ability to manage custom M-Beans via SNMP but even today we
    still don't have it.
    That is why I wanted someone from BEA to comment on that... to no
    success so I'll have to reopen my support case and ask officially.

    Deyan,
    As of the current 8.1 documentation, it states...
    * "While you can create your own MBeans (custom MBeans) to manage the
    applications or services that you deploy onto WebLogic Server, the
    WebLogic SNMP agent does not recognize these custom MBeans as SNMP
    managed resources. You cannot configure the WebLogic SNMP agent to
    monitor or generate traps for custom MBeans."
    * = [SOURCE: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/snmpman/snmpagent.html]
    I haven't heard any news about this effort (BEA folks please correct
    me if I'm wrong!). Perhaps opening a BEA eSupport Ticket and request
    this as an enhancement (change request).
    Hope this helps...

  • Problem in using custom java beans

    Hi,
    We are using oracle JDeveloper 3.2.2 version for developing our Graphical User interface which
    involves Applets and custom beans.
    We faced the following problems when we tried to add the custom beans to JApplet.
    Problem 1. When I drag and drop the custom beans to JApplet, the gif image used by the bean is
    not displayed even when the gif image has been added in the archive file representing
    JavaBean
    Problem 2. When I modify the source code generated by Jdeveloper and come back to the design tab,
    the custom beans looses its look and feel and gets the look and feel of the standard
    bean from which it has been extended.
         For instance, I have a dropdownlist which has been extended from JCombobox.
         I drag and drop to the JApplet. The look and feel of the dropdownlist is
    maintained.
    Now I modify the source code for the dropdownlist in order to add items to it.
         After doing so, I come back to the design tab where i can see my dropdownlist
    appears with the look and feel of JCombobox.

    HI,
    IF YOU create custom object the profile should be the same as standard.Also see whether the authorization object is added to the data target or not.
    Hope this helps

  • Custom Presenter player skin?

    Is there a way to customize Presenter's player?  I want/need to redesign and arrange the player bar. Is there an API or FLA to tweak to achieve this?
    Similar to this in Articulate:
    http://www.mozealous.com/how-i-created-a-custom-articulate-presenter-skin-in-less-than-an- hour-2/

    I don't think you can. The only customization that you can do with it is within the Settings >Appearance tab> Theme Editor. I know that doesn't help much but even with a connect pro server license one can't do much with customization.
    Have you considered using Captivate? It does have more options to the play bar.
    Good Luck.

  • Customizing presenter display

    Does Presenter Display have to be customized one slide at a time, click done, and then go back into Customize Presenter Display? Is there no way to remain in Customize Presenter Display and move through the slides, not clicking on Done until all slides are ready?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Sorry. In that case, my question makes no sense. I misunderstood what was happening (I've never used presentation notes before). I thought the amount of space devoted to notes could be increased or decreased for each slide individually.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Custom data bean collection

    I want to make available in Data Control Palette a custom collection data control. I proceeded like samples in [a]http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/ADFBindingPrimer/ADFBindingIntro.zip[a] from doc. Oracle ADF Data Binding Primer and ADF/Struts Overview but I didn't obtain same result (look for CommissionPlan+CommissionService).
    That are my files which I made to construct my custom data collection control:
    1)The child java bean:
    package tdb.zero.model;
    public class PersonBean
      String name;
      String pren;
      public PersonBean()
      public PersonBean(String s1, String s2)
      {setName(s1);setPren(s2);
      public String getName()
        return name;
      public void setName(String name)
        this.name = name;
      public String getPren()
        return pren;
      public void setPren(String pren)
        this.pren = pren;
    } and the descriptive file of the bean:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>

      private ArrayList agenda= new ArrayList(10);

        agenda.add(new PersonBean("raddsu","iosxdnel"));
        agenda.add(new PersonBean("paz","raz"));
      public void setAgenda(ArrayList agenda)
        this.agenda = agenda;
      public ArrayList getAgenda()
        return agenda;
    }I generated this AgendaBean class as custom data control and the xml is:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252' ?>

             Type="java.util.ArrayList" >
          </AccessorAttribute>
       </Contents>

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252' ?>
    <DataControlConfigs

       <Contents >
          <DataControl
             id="AgendaBeanDataControl"
             SubType="DCJavaBean"
             SupportsFindMode="false"
             SupportsTransactions="false"
             FactoryClass="oracle.adf.model.generic.DataControlFactoryImpl"
             Definition="tdb.zero.model.AgendaBean"
             BeanClass="tdb.zero.model.AgendaBean" >
          </DataControl>
       </Contents>
    </DataControlConfigs>In Control Data Palette I have no acces to name and pren attributes of collection agenda.
    I receive the error:
    Wrong node type found. Expected a node of type oracle.adf.dt.navigator.nodes.BeanModelXmlNode , but found type oracle.bali.xml.addin.XMLSourceNode. You need to create your data control in a seperate project.
    . What that means? What I have to do things works?
    null

    I found a solution reading the doc. above.
    You don't have to manual describe an xml file for structure of the child bean (members of the collection).
    Since introspection of the AgendaBean only tells us that the property is of type Collection, this additional "Bean class" metadata property lets us record the specific kind of bean that will be in the collection at runtime, tdb.zero.model.PersonBean. I had to set this property manually, using the Property Inspector. Once you tie the PersonBean bean into the AgendaBean by setting this BeanClass property, JDeveloper 10g creates the PersonBean.xml metadata file as well to record metadata about that bean as well. Strange is that automatically generated xml contains same data as the before xml file made by hand by me.
    Now, the problem is how to make the collection class to keep the current row indicator trace. If I post something to my current row, the row pointer is resetted to the first. I want this pointer to mantain its position.

  • Problem in using BI Presentation Beans(more specific to crosstab) in jsp

    In the Web Application developed using Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1, i am using BiBeans 10.1.2.0.2 crosstab for data representation in jsp. Jsp also contains other interface components like textbox, submit buttons etc.
    The problem is:
    on clicking submit button in jsp,the required business logic is performed by calling pl/sql procedure in servlet and the database gets updated. Now on forwarding to the same jsp page, the updated database values are shown in crosstab. But i am not able to drill down the crosstab to see various levels of data. On clicking the drill down icon, the application hangs.

    Based on my experience, when you drill down the crosstab and get hanged, it because the jsp form do process in other page. Try check your jsp tag "<form>", make sure the "action" attribute set to itself. I hope that help, good luck
