Custom Query Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN

Hi, I'm using 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN Template in my master template. Now that I'm using it I'm finding small things I want to change like the No. of Columns displayed, or removing the button to allow new analysis.
Is anyone just using 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN like me? If so have the users complained about anything like the number of columns presented?
If your not using 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN what are you using and what functionality are you giving the users?

Access query strings in a search results page with custom display template

am trying to create a custom display template in my search results page , so i went to download the itemdefault html file and renamed it and saved as different file.and am started to updating.
the issue i am facing here is : in my search results page there are 2 query strings, which are passed by anotehr .net appln[ another asp.net appln will be sending the query string to my sp 2013 search results page]
but, how can i read these 2 query strings using jslink and new token _#- ?

when i run the page , i a getting the query string value as undefined! though the custom javascript is getting called.

i am able to get the results by implementing the below:

Error while loading the Web template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" (return value "4")

I activated all 0* objects in BTMP and checked that they are all activated, but I found errors when opening the BEx Web Analyzer
Error messages :

So I ran RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) version D report to check and choose validate.
Error messages :
Template Include Item HEADER_TEMPLATE unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.
Template Include Item FOOTER_TEMPLATE unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.
Width of object item:GROUP_ITEM:GROUP_ITEM_1 is very small (1amp;1)
Query does not exist in the BI System (Object QU )
Cannot instantiate data provider

Link in my customized Report Template doesn't work – Apex 3.1

I created a report template based on columns of my report
My query report is:

My customized report template have this Row Template definition:

I realized that problem is caused by #ID# because if I hardcode this ID, it works.

Is the report template definitely of type Named Column (row template) (defined on App Builder page 4000:4654) and not Generic Columns (column template) (defined on page 400:258)?
Note that the <tt>#ALIGNMENT#</tt> substitution string is not supported in named column templates. Set column alignment explicitly using HTML attributes in the template, or use CSS.

{code}Where do you see this? It looks like there's a mismatch between the report columns returned by the query and those referenced in the report template. Or the data contains unsafe HTML characters that aren't being escaped.
Yes, my report query has a column called ID and it's set as Hidden. This could be the problem. In a report based on a named column template any columns referenced in the template must be +shown+ in the report, even if (as in this case) the column value is not visible to the user: the positioning of the <tt>#ID#</tt> column placeholder in the <tt>onclick</tt> attribute rather than in a table cell is what makes it "hidden". *The Show checkbox for the ID column must be checked.*
From the gobbledygook being generated it looks like there could be a row selector checkbox column in this report as well? Named column row templates must include substitution placeholders for every shown column. It's also advisable to keep the columns in the same order in the SQL, report column attributes and row template.

How can my report template get the “ID” from my query report ?If the above doesn't help then the easiest way to troubleshoot this would be for you to upload the app to apex.oracle.com and post guest developer credentials for the workspace so we can see the whole thing: template, SQL, and report attributes. Otherwise we're likely to and up with a lot of tedious to and fro here posting bits of code and attribute values.

Custom Report Template Issue

I have a Custom Report Template, it is a Named Column(Row) Report that I have created. It seems I can get the look and feel I want on a per row basis. But when I try and convert it to be able to loop through for a specific type, like a break on the first column, it gets all messed up. I was wondering if someone might be able to shed some light for me on this I have tried everything

Making a lot of assumptions, I've come up with the kind of HTML structure I'd use when marking up this kind of data. I added a page 2 to your example on apex.oracle.com, showing a basic presentation of this structure alongside the original for comparison, and another styled using the default theme L&F.

</style>The default theme L&F report adds vertical borders to separate columns and column groups (latter may not be fully effective on IE: I'm not wasting my time on quirks mode fixes for that).
The resulting report uses 60% less vertical space, and 87% less HTML code[1] than the original. Usability and accessibility are improved by eliminating nested tables and useless table cells and shim images, increasing the contrast between text and background colours, and using alternating row backgrounds for better visual tracking.
[1] Including whitespace, but neither template is compressed in any way: both are in fully readale format including normal whitespace indentation.

Custom report template and URL links

Hello,
I have been working on this problem for some-time and it's starting to get frustrating. I am trying to 'mimic' the functionality of the 'people search' application and I am working on the hierarchy portion of it (page 3).
I copied the (3) custom report templates (one for each level of the hierarchy) and I created three queries to go to each.
My problem is that the links in the report template code keep getting mixed around -- the mgr_id is showing where the mgr_name should be, etc. In the example application the query has about 6 columns, and the template is only showing three (and the order of them in the report attributes doesn't seem to matter. But when I change the column order in my application, the data in the template changes??
Here is an example query:

Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN missing in URL

We have a problem when we execute a query ad hoc from BEx designer 7.
The url has not the template value.
The URL generated is:

The correct url must be:

As you can see the system can not solve the patter of template.
We assigned the template in transaction RSCUSTV27 (SPRO/SAP NETweaver/BI/Setting for reporting and analysis/BEx Web/Set standar web template) as Ad Hoc Analysis.

The problem is that the first URL doesnu2019t work (URL generated from BEx designer). The system shows us an error message:
u201CThe Web template "0ANALYSYS_PARTTERN" does not exist in the master systemu201D.
The system only works if we assigned the template manually to the URL (second URL).

Sending Query to query template

Hi,
is it possible to send query from Html page to query template. for example, i create query template as IDBC server and in fixed query mode without giving any query. just blank. in page generator i mapped with iCommand. Now i want to send query from javascript by using getQueryObject. how to send it?

As John indicated, using the built-in query parameter [Param.x] allows you to be very dynamic in your approach, but document.APPLET.getQueryObject().setQuery('SELECT....'); would be the same thing if you just wanted to pass in the whole fixed query statement.
I may be getting ahead of things, but I can't help but think you are heading down a bad development path by burying all of your queries in the client side script. You can use iCommand applets as recordset objects, but they will always be client sided, not server sided like ado recordsets in asp. I've seen far too many system integrator botched applications where the the body onload was used to trigger javascript that attempts to force queries into applets when they have not been initialized by the JRE. By nature Query Templates themselves can be filled with [Param.x]'s but trying to develop large amounts of application content where the select statements are assembled in client side javascript can lead to all sorts of supportability issues for the customer. Imagine a customer going to training, and understanding the basics of query templates, and then trying to reverse engineer your page with one query template called "SQLGeneric" and all of the logic buried in javascript. He/she opens the template and all they find is a FixedQuery with [Param.1] - can you envision their confusion? Then they look at the 1000 - 2000 lines of javascript that I've seen at times?
Can you provide the business case as to why you would not create a simpler query template minded approach, or would want to construct the queries this way?

Call custom web templates in Solman_workcenter?

in the solman_workcenter you can call a couple of web templates in the test evaluation; e.g. Status Report -> for selected test plans opens the web template 0TWB_TESTPLAN_STATUS as seen at the parameter TEMPLATE_ID in the url. The template contains a query, also called 0TWB_TESTPLAN_STATUS, which shows a couple of values for the selected test plans.
I would like to call a custom web template instead of the standard template.
Is there any way to do this without an enhancement of the web dynpro?
Edit:
I can switch the called standard query inside the web template for a custom query in the web application dasigner. But I'm afraid that these changed settings will be overwritten after an update of the BI content.

How to set the table input in Query template?

Hi all.
I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS). But if i set the same xml structure in
query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source. How to set the table input in Query template?

You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

Custom RTF templates in Oracle Core Contracts ..

Hello:
We want to create custom RTF templates in Oracle Core Contracts along with custom data templates.
We do not want to use XSL-FO templates since we are finding this too complex to work with ... also the fact that the XML data is being generated by some internal OAF processes that we cannot control.
This is unnecessarily too complex for us.
Can we create our own reporting using XML -Publisher and integrate it in the system ?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated ... Yesh

I did read those pages and unless I am missing something .. it is basically saying the follwing:
Copy the seeded XSL-FO templates and make changes to them and then upload them back. I have no real access to the xml data since it is somehow pre-generated. I do not have a choice of using RTF templates along with the ease of Word based formatting.
The above process goes against the way in which we can write our own reports in XMLP:
(a) Create our own data templates (use our own SQL)
(b) Create our own layout templates (using RTF or XSl_FO)
So I am stuck into undertsanding .... OAF, Java API's ,etc that I should not have to understand to generate a report ...

The problem is that Web Templates are deployed to a gallery in a site collection and aren't available in Central Admin when creating a new site collection. YOu have to create the site collection without choosing a template and then choose your web
template when you first access the root site in the site collection. Here's an article that discusses that process here:

Other than that Vesa's article is still the best one and works essentially the same in 2013 as it does in 2010.

Custom Administrative Template Error 53 Key name specified more than once

Hope I've picked the correct forum. I am making my first foray into setting up a custom administrative template for some software that is developed in house. The current deployment method is to merge a reg file on each computer that requires the registry
settings. I am trying to set this up so that it is controlled via GPO.
My idea is that in the a GP can set the registry settings for one or more areas that are controlled by the software.
The problem I have - I get Error 53 Keyname specified more than once on Line 9 (second KEYNAME). In total I will have about 30 different sites this needs to be set up for.
Does this mean that I can't set more than one registry key per "Policy" setting in the GPO?
