Custom tab missing from Create Site template selection section in SharePoint 2010
Background:I migrated from SP 2007 to SP 2010.
ISSUE: my custom templates are visible in the Gallery list but when i try to create a new site the Custom tab selection is missing.
What am i doing wrong?

By Custom Templates, I mean remove old Master Pages : Go To Site Settings --> Look And Feel --> Master Pages (click on Master Pages to open window with Master Pages and CSS Style). From this page select V4Maste.master and default CSS. Refer here for
more on how to change :

You can very well get back all your custom settings, but first lets try to resolve your first issue.

Why is PowerView Missing From My Site Collection?
I'm setting up a test lab with SQL Server 2012 SP1 and SharePoint 2013.
I successfully setup the integration using PowerShell and Central Administration. I can see the service application and it is related to my web application, however the PowerView/SSRS features are missing from my site collection and so are the content types.
I even tried creating a new site collection and no dice.
Any thoughts on this would be great!

Based on the current information, I suggest that you make sure the Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint has been installed when installling SQL Server 2012 SP1. Then, please verify the Reporting Services installation referring to the following article:
Verify a Reporting Services Installation
If you can create the Reporting Services Service Application and a site collection successfully, please verify the Report Server Integration Feature is active. After that, please active the Power View Integration Feature for the site collection.
Additionally, I suggest that you refer to the following blog for the SQL Server Reporting Services Integration with SharePoint 2013:

Un-installed/re-installed Acrobat 10.1.7.27
The PDF plug in is missing from Outlook COM add ins and Disabled add ins, confirmed that 7 .dll files were installed correctly in c:\program files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat.com\Add-in
Also tried re-registering the DLL and adding PDFMOfficeAddinn.dll to Outlook add-ins.
Plug in tab is enabled and working in MS Word and Excel but not in Outlook 2010.[discussion moved to Creating, Editing & Exporting PDFs forum]

Size or delete unwanted entries from tables AllDocStreams,AllDocVersions,EventCache,EventLog of Sharepoint 2010 content database:
We using powershell scripts to migrate data between two sharepoint 2010 sites .
While doing migration we delete all document libraries & list form destination site and then run powershell to migrate data from source to destination. We following this process
twice in a week.
But in doing so we found the above mention tables (AllDocStreams,AllDocVersions,EventCache,EventLog ) of destination Sharepoint Content database are growing at an alarming rate.
Wish to know how could get rid of unwanted data stored in these tables.Hi,

Composed looks / Change the look themes are missing when creating site from saved template
Hi,
I found an issue when save you own site template and then want to create a new site from that template the "Change the Look" themes are missing and if you go to site settings, Comosed looks where the themes are stored is empty! Anyone else has
the same experience? Any workaround for this?

MartinI've just seen this exact problem on a SharePoint 2013 farm as well this morning, but have managed to fix the blank "Composed Looks" list issue, although am still working on the "Change the look" wizard pages.
Edit: found a fix for this too now. See my next post below.
It appears that the process of saving a site as a template and then creating a new site from that template causes the original XsltListViewWebPart used to display the default view of the "Composed Looks" list, to be replaced with a ListViewWebPart,
which appears to be broken.
Edit: have also seen this behaviour on sites created from the built-in templates but haven't determined exactly whether this is a bug. ULS logs never show any errors when this occurs so it appears to be "by-design". Ugh.
There may be a tidier way to fix this, but for now, I used SharePoint Designer 2013 to copy an XsltListViewWebPart from a working "Composed Looks" list, AllItems.aspx page and replaced the ListViewWebPart in the broken Composed Looks list, AllItems.aspx
page with it. There is also some additional post copy-paste tidy up to do on the pasted-in XsltListViewWebPart HTML to get it to work within the context of the site it is now in as it will contain GUIDs and URLs that are only relevant within the site
that you copied it from and these need to be replaced with the GUIDs/URLs from the replaced ListViewWebPart - paste it in a notepad session before deleting/overwriting it so you can grab those bits.
I'll write a more detailed step-by-step if anyone wants it, but this doesn't seem to fix the broken "Change the Look" wizard still, only the "Composed Looks" list default view. I'll look into that now and post back more complete solution if I can
find a fix.
Edit: Found a fix. see my next post below.
Edit Edit: One more thing - on some Composed Looks lists we are seeing empty lists once the default view webPart is fixed up. To correct this, you can copy selected Composed Looks from a working site with a full set.
Before you do that, edit the default view in both the source and destination Composed Looks lists and include the Title field as it is a required field.
Then, you can use Datasheet View (just click the edit list link to put it in Datasheet View mode) to bulk copy/paste Composed Looks between the source and destination lists.
Do a little post-paste tidy up on the URLs as above to make sure that they are correct for their new location and then click on over to your Change the Look wizard.
You should see all of your Composed Looks displayed nicely on the page.
Note that the Current Look might not represent the sites actual appearance as it's settings will reflect the source sites appearance, but you can tweak it with the Wizard now.

Custom Tab Missing in Template Section

I recently migrated to SharePoint 2013. Under Site Settings > Web Design Galleries > Solutions, I can see that my site templates carried over. They have been activated. However, when I go to create a
new subsite, I noticed that the Custom tab is missing. Any suggestions on how I can retrieve that?I was able to modify the manifest.xml file, and repackaged the .cab using IZarc. I renamed it to a wsp and uploaded to the site Solutions and was able to then click the Upgrade button. it's activated, but there still isn't a Custom
tab. When I recreated the template in 2013, I was able to see the Custom tab.
I guess there isn't a real easy way to migrate 2010 site templates to 2013.
Here they mention to recreate using 2013, but I wonder what companies that have hundreds of custom site templates would do it their case?

Apps tab missing from Creative Cloud Desktop
Hello and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I'm running Creative Cloud on Mac OS 10.9.5. A couple days ago I updated several of the apps through the Creative Cloud Desktop app in the menu bar. The apps updated and they all seem to run fine, but now the Apps tab is missing altogether from the CC Desktop Window, and it's even missing from the CC Desktop preferences. (Please see the screenshots.) Also, when I click on the "Install Adobe Apps" button in the CC Desktop window, nothing happens.
I've un-installed -> re-downloaded -> re-installed CC Desktop several times, along with trying some of the other troubleshooting suggestions I've found here on the Adobe site, such as:
restarting the computer
logging out of CC Desktop then back in again
deleting the opm.db file
deleting the CoreSync folder
deleting the AdobeAAMDetect plugin
Nothing seems to fix it. As I mentioned, the applications all seem to running fine, but I'd like to know that CC Desktop is functioning as intended and keeping me up to date. Any other suggestions?

How to create a site template with subsites on SharePoint Online (2013, wave 15)
I need to create a site template of a site that contains 4 subsites.
I have tried saving the parent site as a "site template", but when i create a new site based on this template, I don't get any of the subsites created.
Anyone knows why the subsites are not included in the template?

JoséThat is by design. Site templates are a template for a specific site within a site collection and never include sub-sites. In an On-premises environment you could create a Portal Site Template, but this won't work in SharePoint Online. To
build something equivalent in SharePoint online you would either need to use a Sandbox solution or custom client side code.

ADMINISTRATION tab missing from Home Page of Web Admin 10.1 .

These two roles are for accessing BPC, for administration , you need to assign admin task profile to user.
And to access mode, you need to assign data access profile.

Cannot create site template due to references containing formula's

We currently have in our production environment an issue creating a site template due to references in fields yet the UPSLogs do not state the column in question
The error I get when trying to save the template is as below:

Basic settings tab missing from Develop module
I recently bought lightroom 4 after using the free 30 day trial, and i have no basic settings on my mac, can't find them anywhere? My tabs go from histogram to colour curve. Where are they?

Message title was edited by: Brett NNo need to be confused, you've probably inadvertently hidden it. The thing is that in every Module, all the individual panels in each of the left and right-hand columns can be optionally shown or hidden under user control (there are few minor exceptions such as the Navigator, but by and large this control is available throughtout Lightroom).
So to bring up the options for each column (in your case the right-hand column of the Develop Module), simply right-click (ctrl-click on Mac) on ANY of the headers that are showing in that column and you'll see a pop-up context menu like the attached screenshot. Here you can see that I've previously hidden the Basic panel, so all I need to do is click on the Basic line and it's restored. Conversely, I can use this method to hide a panel. -
Preset default value of DropDown based on Content Type selection in the SharePoint 2010 library

I have three site content types (Admin, Technical & Well) derived from base content type "Base" and added this content types to "Documents" library. I also have one site column "Category"(Dropdown) with values (Admin, Technical
& Well) which is available in all the content types.
Now, when i try to create a document based on "Admin" content type then "Category" value should be preset to "Admin", similarly when i select "Technical" content type then "Category" should be preset to "Technical"
and same with "well".
Can some one provide me how i can achieve this?

ChakradharMy understanding is that , you have to display the category in all the content types.
So in that case create a content type like
Create a base content type -- with column category.
Create a Admin content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in admin content.
Create a Technical content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in Technical content type.
Create a Well content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in Well content type.
Do you want to create using sharepoint ui or code(visual studio)?
