Custom TLD in jsp

We have our own TLD thats allow manage the access of the user to the HTML controls in the jsp. This features are inside a jar that provide those functionallity. How can I use this TLD inside of screenflow's jsp.
Thanks

try something that looks like this in your tld file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<!DOCTYPE taglib PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD JSP Tag Library 1.2//EN"
"http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-jsptaglibrary_1_2.dtd">

<tag-class>tags.HyperTag</tag-class>
<body-content>empty</body-content>
<attribute>
<name>name</name>
<required>false</required>
<rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>

    Do you want to use taglibs or develop custom tags? Either way take a look at these:

  • Custom tag and JSP = getOutputStream error

    Hi guys. I have a custom authorization tag as follows:

              return EVAL_PAGE;
         public int doEndTag() throws JspException {
              return EVAL_PAGE;
    }and a jsp page using this tag:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" errorPage="error.jsp" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/tags.tld" prefix="tags" %>

    Any ideas of what could be wrong? thx

    If you forward to the login.htm page, you should stop the rest of the current page evaluating. Just because you forwarded it, doesn't stop the flow of control in this page. It is trying to evaluate both the current page and the one that you forwarded to. You can only send one response
    Returning SKIP_PAGE from the doEndTag function should do the trick.
    I'm not sure that returning EVAL_PAGE or SKIP_PAGE from the doStartTag is legal. It should return SKIP_BODY or one of the EVAL_BODY options.
    In fact I think the whole thing should probably be done in the doEndTag for that reason.
    package tags;
    import stuff;
    public class AuthenticatedTag extends TagSupport {
         public int doEndTag() throws JspException {
              try {
                   pageContext.forward("login.htm");
                            return SKIP_PAGE
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return EVAL_PAGE;
    }I presume you will be putting in some sort of check to see if you should forward to login.html instead of evaluating the current page?
    Just as an alternative suggestion, a better way IMO is to implement this sort of logic as a filter, rather than putting a tag on a JSP page.
    Cheers,

  • Can't find route to custom tld file

    Hi guys !!
    In order to improve visibility and coding more efficiently, I just decided to create a new custom tag to use in JSP.
    The problem is that I would like to store this file in crmhomeshrext, mainly because is where I have all my custom code. So following tha same criteria that in the rest of DCs, I have created a folder called WEB-INF, under src->packages, and inside this one, I have created the tld folder and finally, my own  tld tag file. (i.e. crmhomeshrext~sap.com/src/packages/WEB-INF/tlds/myowntag.tld)
    Ok .. so, after that, I have registered the file in the web.xml file ..
    <taglib>
       <taglib-uri>/myowntag</taglib-uri>
       <taglib-location>/WEB-INF/tlds/myowntag.tld</taglib-location>
    </taglib>
    So ... the problem is that JSPs doens't work after that ... BUT .. if instead of storing myowntag.tld in  crmhomeshrextsap.com/src/packages/WEB-INF/tlds/, I do it in (for instance) crmisawebb2bsap.com/WEB-INF/tlds/,
    then .. IT WORKS !!!
    What is happenning? .. When I create WEB-INF file in crmhomeshrextsap.com, should I make it public in some way? .. It seems like if system doesn't find my file if it is inside my new WEB-INF folder ...
    Thanks in advance !!!

    have you searched these forums and tried a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates)? Bear in mind that no, Nokia Suite, or Nokia PC Suite do not work with Windows Phone 8 devices at all, only the Windows Phone app does.
    See if other devices connect to your PC, and try other USB ports.

  • Accessing custom classes from JSP

    Hi Guys,
    I am having some problems accessing my custom classes from my JSP.
    1) I've created a very simple class, SimpleCountingBean that just has accessors for an int. The class is in the package "SimpleCountingBean". I compiled this class locally on my laptop and uploaded the *.class file to my ISP.
    2) I've checked my classpath and yes, the file "SimpleCountingBean/SimpleCountingBean.class" is located off of one of the directories listed in the classpath.
    3) When I attempt to use this class in my JSP, via the following import statement:
    import "SimpleCountingBean.*"
    I get the following compile error
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: SimpleCountingBean/SimpleCountingBean
    I'm pretty sure that my classpath is properly setup because when I purposely garble the import statement, I get the "package not found" compile error.
    Do I need to upload some other files in addition to the class file? Any suggestions would of course be appreciated.
    Sonny.

    Trying to get some clearer view.. so don't mind..
    So you uploaded all your .jsp files into your account which is:
    home/sonny
    and it compiles and work. But custom classes doesn't seems to be working, where did you place your classes?
    From my knowledge of tomcat, classes are normally placed in, in this case:
    home/sonny/web-inf/classes
    Maybe it differs from windows enviroment to *nix enviroment.. well, I'm just saying out so if its not the case.. don't mind me.

  • Urgent-how to access custom tag from jsp tag

    I have a problem accessing a custom tag from a jsp expression.
    Details: I have a custom tag that returns a string variable. I need to access that variable from jsp expression <%%>.
    Can any body help me?

    Tags don't "return" values as in the normal sense.
    They can only support TEI (Tag Extra Information) that just stuffs a declared variable into the page's state.
    For example, if the tag class had a public method called getValue(), you could do the following:
    <xmp:mytag id="foo"/>
    <%
    out.println("value is " + foo.getValue());
    %>

  • How to use ApplicationModule custom methods in JSP?

    I have an ApplicationModule for which I have defined several custom methods (in the ApplicationModuleImpl class). I wish to invoke these methods from a JSP. I'm having trouble getting a scriptable reference to the application module object in the JSP. I can get data from the view objects using the jbo:xxx data tags, but I can't get any sort of reference to the application module object that would allow me to invoke the methods. I have tried editing the application module to expose the methods as client methods, but still can't get a reference to them.
    My main questions:
    1. Is there a way to invoke the custom methods somewhere between the jbo:ApplicationModule tag and the jbo:ReleasePageResources tag?
    2. Is there a way to declare and use the application module without using the jbo:ApplicationModule tag? Would I ever benefit from doing this?

    Alan, here's how to call a custom method String getSomeInfo() that I've created on my application module, MyModule in this example. Also, in this example the id parameter in the ApplicationModule tag is "am" (<jbo:ApplicationModule id="am"...):
    First, edit your application module. In the app module editor, go to the Client Methods tab and move getSomeInfo into the selected list.
    Next, edit your JSP to call your custom method.
    <% MyModule myAm = (MyModule)am.useApplicationModule(); String someInfo = myAm.getSomeInfo(); %>
    You also have to add the correct import statements to the page tag in your JSP:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252" import="oracle.jbo.*, MyModule.common.*"%>
    Hope this helps

  • Custom loading image JSP dynpage

    Hello,
    Wa have created a jsp dynpage, and want to show a custom loading image. I other applications (appintegrator) we have succesfully changed the loading image by exporting the theme that we are currently using, change the loading_ani.gif image and re-importing the theme. This change has no effect on the loading image of the JSP dynpage, it is still the one supplied by SAP. I checked the url of this image and got the following https://host:port/htmlb/mimes/common/loading/loading_ani.gif, so I tried changing the loeding image that is stored in the htmlb par file, but there was no visible result when loading the application, or when loding the direct url of this image. Can anyone tell me where I can change the loading image of the JSP dynpages?
    Kind Regards

  • Where to set the classpath for custom classes in jsp

    Hi,
    we have created our custom classes in and ported in contentDB and that classes are internally using some jar files. Previously we have set the classpath of all the jar files provided in CDB devkit in the orion-web.xml but if are opening the explorer.jsp or any other jspx of contentDB we are getting the classcastexception and page is not opening.
    Is there any problem in setting the classpath. Please if any one knows abt this, reply as soon as possible.
    thanks,
    swapna soni.

    I think it is Oracle 10g Release 2... since when I click the top OAS link in the Enterprise Manager Console, it took me to 'Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 2' this page.
    And...10g Application Server Control Release 10.1.2.0.1, I think 2.0.1 means Release 2.
    Thanks and let me know if you need something else.

  • Passing params to custom tag from jsp

    Hi all, I have a problem passing params back to my custom tag. The tag handler has a "getPageNumber()" method which returns a value. Initially the value is set and if a link is clicked it passes that param to the tag handler. I am trying to get this value from the tag handler to update the value on the link parameter.
    Something like this:
    // processed tag
    <a href="mypage.jsp?page=1">Next page</a>
    // clicking "Next Page"
    <a href="mypage.jsp?page=2">Next page</a>

       this.pagenumber=pagenumber
    }I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this or if what I am trying to do is even possible.

  • Calling jsp custom tag from jsp expression

    hi there,
    I have a problem calling oracle(or any other) custom tag from inside a jsp expression.(i.e.)embeding <jbo:tagname...> into <%......%>.
    For example:
    I need to get the value of a jsp parameter, but the parameter name is dynamic (retrieved from a DataBase)
    So I though it would be something link that:
    <%=request.getParameter(<jbo:ShowValue datasource="ds" dataitem="ParamName" ></jbo:ShowValue>) %>
    where <jbo:ShowValue is an Oracle custom tab that retrieves the value of a certain dataItem(certain field).
    But it does not work.........
    if any body can tell me how to overcome, or work around it, I'll be so pleased.
    Regards,
    Remoun Anwar

    Hi,
    You get the custom tag output into a hidden variable (say 'key') and use the request.getParameter("key")
    Hope u got the answer...

  • How to import custom package in JSP

    Hi! everyone,
    I wrote a jsp file that imports some custom packages in a jar file. I've put that jar file in the classpath, the WEB-INF/classes directory, the orion directory etc...But I kept getting the "Package doesn't exist" compiling error in the borowser. Would you please help and tell me what I'm missing here?

    Thank you for your reply. I tried but it didn't work. Can you give me more hint on what to do?
    Placing the jar file in the /WEB-INF/lib directory
    should fix the problem.

  • Calling custom tags in jsp  with jsp:include

    Hi,
    I have a large jsp file , which uses jstl fmt tags for labels.
    Since the size of jsp was too big iand i was unable to compile it because of 64 kb class size limit,
    I removed the tag lib defination from the jsp file and put it in another jsp file. and used jsp:include to include this file inside the first jsp.
    It is compiling successfully but labels r not showing up.
    but when i use <%@include to include second jsp in the first one i get the labels properly.
    I cannot use <%@include as this starts giving me compilation error related with jsp class file size beyond 64 kb.
    Pls suggest why jsp:include is not working.
    thanks,
    Pramod

    Hi Anil,
    Ur suggestion was good but could not solve my problem.
    I have put a small sample code to illustrate the problem.
    labeldemo.jsp:
    <%-- <%@ include file="WDCComInitLabelsjunk.jsp" %> --%>
    <jsp:include page="WDCComInitLabelsjunk.jsp" flush="true" />
    <table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0" border="0" class="tablebg">
                                  <tr class="headtd">
                                       <td colspan="4"><span class="headtext"><fmt:message key="Cash_Management"/> </td>
                                  </tr>
                                  <tr> hi </tr>
                             </table>
                             </fmt:bundle>
    WDCComInitLabelsjunk.jsp:
    <%@ page language="java" %>
    <%@ page contentType="text/html"%>
    <%@ page import="com.tcs.wdc.core.*" %>
    <%@ page import="com.tcs.wdc.core.login.*" %>
    <%@ page import="com.tcs.wdc.core.service.navigation.*" %>
    <%-- Include tag library --%>
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/tld/fmt.tld" prefix="fmt" %>
    <%-- Get language from IDCUserSession & set it in session --%>
    <%
    /*SessionManager sm = new SessionManager(session);
    IDCUserSession ius = sm.getIDCUserSession();*/
    session.setAttribute("language","nl_NL");
    %>
    <%-- Set the locale for the language obtained --%>
    <fmt:setLocale value="${language}" />
