Custom Type Not Displaying values in drop down

I have added a Parameter to my Business Configuration and then a Configuration Set under that (activated and deployed both the Configuration and the Set) this has several Value description pairs in it.
I can add this new Type (Parameter) and use it in my code, however when adding it to my QA I get
"No items Found" Am I missing something here..

when I did the BonusPlan workshop szenario, I had the same problem.
On my demo system, it was solved by login on as a user having the "Business Configuration" work-center and just entering this work-center. The system automatically went into a modal state with a messagebox saying "Updating your configuration profile" (or something like that), which took several minutes to finish. This updating seems to be triggered by the activation of the new Busines Configuration Set.
After that, the drop-downlist in the business GUI of the bonusplan-items were filled with the configured options.

Hi Virat,
SAP Exit processing type is meant for Business Content variables only ( which are provided by SAP), if you want to create a variable & use exit in that, choose Customer Exit option.

Problems with RH 9Printed Documentation not displaying some popups, drop-downs, and links

I generate a Word document for reviewers. PrintedDoc properties include: Retain hyperlinks; Include drop-down text; Include expanding text.
Sometimes the Word 2010 document includes hyperlinks, sometimes it doesn't.
Popups typically don't work in the Word document.
Drop-down and expanding text appear intermittently in the Word document.
Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?

I have never known hyperlinks to fail except in two situations.
The target topic is not in the printed document. Obviously it cannot link to something that is not there.
The hyperlink is a popup.
Not sure what you mean by popups not working in a printed document. If you mean the links to them break, then see above. Known issue.
I'm not sure why you are having the dropdown and expanding text problem as I have not known that to be an issue either. Is it always the same dropdowns that fail? Have you compared a good dropdown and a bad dropdown?

Custom itemRenderer not working on initial drop down, one reuse of an IR and it works, ideas?

I've created a spark DropDownList extension which has icons next to the label. To do this I use a skin for the DropDownList, where I added logic and an Image component (which renders the icon from a byte array in the DropDownList's dataProvider) and a Label Component, and a spark ItemRenderer extension, which has itself an Image component (which renders the icon from the same byte array on the DropDownList's dataProvider) and a Label component.
The component works, but on doing the initial drop down (when the DropDownList is 'opened') no icons are shown (although the space for them is there). As soon as I move through the list (by using the scrollbar or the mousewheel) the icons appear (all icons on the shown on the list at the same time, even if the scroll is moved only one item up or down).
Has anyone an idea why this might be happening? Or,
is there a way I can call an 'update' or 'refresh' or 'reuse' renderers function directly on the IR itself?
The component works as expected as soon as one IR on it is reused, but I can't find out why...

Infopath 2013 - Values are not appearing in a drop down field referencing site column which uses lookup in custom list

I have a master custom list that has a set of site columns. For each site column there is a lookup to a custom list with reference data. When I edit the list in data entry view all values in drop down fields work fine, but when I customize the form for
the master list, no data appears in the drop down fields. I can change the data binding on the form so it references the the correct data and when I preview the form it works. But when I publish it, no data is available in these drop down fields.

According to your description, I try to reproduce your scenario but the lookup field works fine.
When we customize the form for the list in the InfoPath 2013 , it is by design that the Drop-Down List Box control cannot display its value.
For troubleshooting your issue, please take steps as below:
Go to lookup List Box on your form in InfoPath 2013 , right click it and choose “Drop-Down List Properties” from the bottom of your field menu.
Make Sure you select “Get choices from an external data source” and correct Data source.
Make Sure the Xpath of Entries is “d:SharePointListItem_RW” under the dataFields.

Restrict the number of visible values in drop down by key?

If you have a set of default values (which come from the domain), you can restrict them to the specific values which you need to display. In the INIT method of the view in which this UI element is present, you will have to write code to delete the entries which you do not wish to show in the drop down by key element.
Have a look at this code snippet:

How to set default value for drop down box in jsf

Hi,
Can anyone help me to set the default value in drop down box using <af:selectManyChoice> ?
As I know there is an unselectedLabel attribute in <af:selectOneChoice> but not valid attribute for <af:selectManyChoice>.

Assigning Values to Drop-Down Lists

I am populating a drop-down list with values of vendor names from my Oracle table. However, I'm assigning the vendor name as the value for each <option> record displayed in the drop-down list. The problem I'm having is that when I select a vendor name from the drop-down list and I view to see which value was selected, I only see a partial vendor name, rather than the full name. For example, If the vendor name that is selected is "Jacks Welding", when I retrieve that selection in my JSP page, the value only comes up as "Jacks" not "Jacks Welding". I want the option value to be the vendor name, not the vendor ID. How can I retrieve the full name from the drop-down list? Below is my code for populating the vendor names.

Have a look at the HTML your code is producing. (Hint: your browser allows you to display the HTML source of a page.) You are producing this:
<option value=Jacks Welding>Jacks Welding</optioN>
This is sloppy HTML, but browsers will do their best with it. Try producing this instead:

Populating values to drop down list in Adobe Forms

We have added a drop down list in our adobe form. Our requirement is Payment Terms should be displayed in this drop down list. We tried by adding values to drop down list in object palette window by using '+' sign. But now we want to display values dynamically from table T052U. We need to bring two fields ZTERM and TEXT1. We don't want to use database connection, just from a table as an importing parameter it should be appended to this list.
Atpresent, we don't want to use webdynpro or java for getting values.
Please provide suitable answers.

For creating Simple Type------in Dictionary->Local Dictionary->Data Type->Simple Type(here right click u get create simple type).and after that choose Enumaration Here u can add values
and create a node WITH one attribute and this attribute is off Type of that simple type u created in local dictionary and bind that node with interactive form data source property ,now in interactive form drag and drop that attribte from your dataView Run your application these values will populate in your Interactive form.

How to get the values of drop downs, which are gonna create at run time.

As per my design requirement, I have to create drop downs in an ADF display table.
The no# of rows of the table are gonna decide the no# of the drop downs. User can select the values from drop downs. My issue is, how can I capture the selected values of those drop downs as those are gonna created run time.

ohh ,ok ,then as u said that u r storing twenty values ,thats y i aksed earlier ,are these form values part of tbale ,or as u said 20 values are there ,for these u r creating 20 form values ???.
My suggestion would be ,u do four calculation and put all your results in a hashmap ,and keep this hash map in to sesion ,using the following method
pageContext.putTransactionTransientValue("HashMapName",myHashMap);
and inside the PFR method when u want to display these values ,u can loop through your hashmap and can display these values.

You can get the value of selected from drop down as below
Check out the event handler method attached to Onselect event of the ui element drop down by index , if no event is associated, then create an event and attach to the drop down list
Now you will be having the CONTEXT_ELEMENT in the WDEVENT parameter
               data lo_element type ref to if_wd_context_element.
               lo_element = wdevent->get_context_element( name = 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT').
Now, you can get the static attribute value of selected drop down value & let us say your drop down list values are populated from context node 'ND_DRP_DOWN'
               data ls_data type wd_this->element_nd_drp_down.
                         lo_element->get_static_attributes(
                                   importing
                                   static_attributes = ls_data ).

Default customer type not set by default

hello,
we are having and issue with the "customer type" not being set by default.
When a new customer is created (when they make a purchase) I would like them to be set as “Retail Customer” as their customer type .
I have set the default customer type to be “retail customer” however this is not applied to the customer.
has anyone else struck this problem? is there a fix for this?

This is as expected/normal behaviour.
If you create a column in a list that already has items it will not automatically set that column to the default option. Instead any pre-existing items will have a blank value until/unless the item is next edited. At that point you can chose a value but
it still will not populate with the default value.
That is deliberate as it may be entirely valid to have blank entries and so overwriting those would be much worse than leaving entries blank.
