Custom view with NSProgressIndicator in NSMenuItem

I have a couple problems with custom view in NSMenuItem.
First - view is 'blocking' mouse and keyboard events for NSMenuItem.
I've found code for mouse events:
- (void)mouseUp:(NSEvent*)event {
NSMenuItem* mitem = [self enclosingMenuItem];
NSMenu* m = [mitem menu];
[m cancelTracking];
[m performActionForItemAtIndex:[m indexOfItem:mitem]];
It works just fine. What about keyboard events?
I've tried - (void)keyUp:(NSEvent *)theEvent and - (void)keyDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent but these methods seem to be never called.
Or is there a method to 'forward' all events to view's parent?
Second - setHidden on NSMenuItem doesn't hide my custom view. setHidden on both - NSMenuItem and it's view make them invisible, but there is blank space left (other NSMenuItems hide 'normal') - what to do with it?
Third - on custom view there is NSProgressIndicator. If it's animation is starting when menu is open - everything is fine, it's animating. But when menu is closed and than opened again there is no animation. I've read in documentation, that method - (void)viewDidMoveToWindow is perfect place to start animation, but when I do something like - (void)viewDidMoveToWindow {
[progress startAnimation:self];
} the method is called, but there is no animation. How to get the animation started every time the view is visible?

ok. I dont't know why (most likely because of my crappy english ;]) but we can't understand each other ;]
there is no problem with a shortcut. I haven't set and even think about a shortcut yet ;] forget about a shortcut
what is my problem - when I higlight 'normal' menu item and press return/enter - metod attached to it is invoken, just like with mouse click. normal situation with navigating through normal menu using keyboard.
No problem with that - creating NSMenuItem, connecting with IBAction - everything works great.
BUT
setting custom view for NSMenuItem = problems.
mouse clicking - ok, find how to get this work
enter/return click - no idea, not working.
maybe this will clear a little bit my problem - sample project with instruction, just run it: http://cl.ly/0d2d844808be5f181934

  • Debugging custom viewer with Safari

    I'm trying to use the Safari dev-tools to debug the custom viewer/storefront I'm currently building but it isn't working. I have read that it should be possible to do this?
    I have enabled the "Web Inspector"-option in IOS but Safari only gives me "No inspectable applications". I'm running an iPad with ios 7.1.1, OSX 10.9.2 with Safari 7.0.3. What am I missing?

    I'm using Safari 7.0.3 with the newest DPS App Builder tools on latest Mac OSX and it works. But just with the development version! Not the distribution app.
    Try plugging and unplugging the iPad. Close all other apps that might interfere. IF this doesn't help maybe try it with another iPad ( I guess you already did it, so I think it might either be the app or your mac)

  • Error while adding a attribute to the the Custom view through a wizard

    Hi ,
    I have created a new custom view with value node through wizard  succesfully.
    Now I want to add a new attribute to that node.I am trying to do that by a wizard.
    But i am getting the follwing error " Error during analysis of Source Code" although i have
    commented or removed my all custom code from that view.
    I tried adding the new aattributes in the metthods "IF_BSP_MODEL~INIT " and
    "GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE " manually but that also does not worked.
    Plz help me with this asap.
    Regards,
    Sharad

    Hi Sharad,
                          I hope all your classes are active. In case you want to add a new attribute there are two steps.
    1.Right click on context node and create attribute, it opens a wizard and continue. This will add the field in the context node and generate the getter-setter methods.
    2. In the above two method whcih you mentioned add the new field in the structure of value node. And then create your own getter-setter methods. and activate it. After this you will be able to see the attribute added in the context node.
    By using any of the two approaches you will be able to see teh new field in the configuration.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Ruby.

  • Creating a custom view in WEB UI

    Hi Experts,
    There is a requirement to create a custom view having few fields of oppurtunity.
    Please let me know which is better way of achieving;
    1. Copying the standard SAP oppurtunity view of component BP_BPBT.
    2. Creating a new custom view with user-defined fields.
    This view should be displayed in assignment block of accounts.
    Though the SAP standard oppurtunity view is available in BP_HEAD, it is not allowing to display the standard view again in our assignment block.
    Could you please let me know the steps to follow for achieving this task. (any of 2 ways)
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh,
    You have to place the following code in WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE:
    WHEN 'ZBP_BPBT'.
              CALL METHOD iv_usage->bind_context_node
                EXPORTING
                  iv_controller_type  = cl_bsp_wd_controller=>co_type_component
                  iv_name             = iv_usage->usage_name
                  iv_target_node_name = 'PARTNER'    " Node of the MAIN component
                  iv_node_2_bind      = 'PARTNER'.   " Node of the embedded component
                CALL METHOD iv_usage->bind_context_node
                  EXPORTING
                    iv_controller_type  = cl_bsp_wd_controller=>co_type_component
                    iv_target_node_name = 'BUTTONSAVE'    " Node of the MAIN component
                    iv_node_2_bind      = 'BUTTONSAVE'.   " Node of the embedded component
    And if you want to access the component controller from a view, you can access it by 'me->COMP_CONTROLLER'.
    If you are in component controller class, it is just 'me'

  • Document Library Custom View "Grouped By" only shows one group

    I have created a Document Library Custom View with the  "Grouped By" option turned on and grouped by a column  called "media type" which has 3 possible choices.  For some reason only the first group is displayed. The other
    groups show that they have items in them but can't be accessed. I have expanded turned on.
    Here are some screenshots:

    Hi zaxxon,
    Please check if the above first 6 images (e.g. Managing Threating Confrontations - OneDrive for Business Tutorial)are with value "Training" and "tutorial", if yes, there should be something wrong with the grouped list view of Assets library.
    Based on icons from your image, you should be using Office365 SharePoint Online, I would recommend you post this issue in our dedicated Office365 SharePoint online forum below, and I think fixing this issue would be involving back-end support engineer from
    server side.

  • Creating Customized Views in bpm/workspace

    Hi All,
    I'm going to create a customized view in http://<host>:<port>/bpm/workspace ..
    I was able to create one view for the first user and that Human task user are defined in the 'Organization' Lane Users.
    Then next user comes based on the output of the first user.
    Human task is created and and opened the <secondUser>.task file in bpm jdeveloper project and went to the 'Assignment' section and Edit the user as below,
    Type - Single
    Build a list of participants using - Names and Expressions
    Add the user variable using Expression ..
    Once I assigned to a task for a user(2nd Level) , I can see instance in his Inbox.
    But not in his view. (Customized view.. )
    Once I remove above configurations and assign the Lane Users it populates.
    What will be the Problem ???
    Where to assign the user and how can I populate tha customized view with this scenario??
    Thanks,
    nir
    Any suggestions PLEASE ....
    Edited by: Nir on May 14, 2013 9:38 PM

    Hi 814056
    Thanks for your reply..
    Yes. The problem is all these users are belongs to same group but they should not see each others tasks.
    i.e. Managing Directors of different subsidiaries in one organization.
    They should not see each others tasks, but they are having same interface. Having separate groups for each SBU is impossible since we are having more than 50 subsidiaries.
    Thanks,
    Nir

  • Custom viewer to client

    In order to enable hot spot, I need to build a custom viewer.
    When I get that built, how do I share that custom viewer with the client?

    What exactly is your relationship to the client? You mean you want to hand the viewer to the client so they can push it to the Apple store? Or so they can review the app prior to submitting to Apple?

  • Maintenance View for custom table with foreign key relationship

    Hi Folks,
         I have created a custom table with foreign key relationship with other check tables. I want to create a maintenance view / tablemaintenance generator. What all things I need to take care for the foreign keys related fields while creating the maintenance view / tablemaintenance generator.
    Regards,
      santosh

    Hi,
    You do not have to do anything explicitely for the foreign key relationships in the table maintainance generator.
    Create the table maintainance generator via SE11 and it will take care of all teh foreign key checks by itself.

  • Performance issue with a Custom view

    Hi ,
    I am pretty new to performance tuning and facing a performance issue with a custom view.
    Execution time for view query is good but as soon as I append a where caluse to view query ,the execution time increases.
    Below is the view query:
    CREATE OR REPLACE XXX_INFO_VIEW AS
    SELECT csb.system_id license_id,
    cst.name license_number ,
    csb.system_type_code license_type ,
    csb.attribute3 lac , -- license authorization code
    csb.attribute6 lat , -- license admin token
    csb.attribute12 ols_reg, -- OLS Registration allowed flag
    l.attribute4 license_biz_type ,
    NVL (( SELECT 'Y' l_supp_flag
    FROM csi_item_instances cii,
    okc_k_lines_b a,

    WHERE c.cle_id = a.id
    AND a.lse_id = 9
    AND c.jtot_object1_code = 'OKX_CUSTPROD'
    AND c.object1_id1 = cii.instance_id||''
    AND cii.instance_status_id IN (3, 510)
    AND cii.system_id = csb.system_id
    AND a.sts_code IN ('SIGNED', 'ACTIVE')
    AND NVL (a.date_terminated, a.end_date) > SYSDATE
    AND ROWNUM < 2), 'N') active_supp_flag,
    hp.party_name "Customer_Name" , -- Customer Name
    hca.attribute12 FGE_FLAG,

    FROM OKC_K_LINES_B oklb1,
    OKC_K_LINES_TL oklt,

    WHERE
    OKI.JTOT_OBJECT1_CODE = 'OKX_CUSTPROD'
    AND oklb1.id=oklt.id
    AND OKI.OBJECT1_ID1 =cii.instance_id||''
    AND Oklb1.lse_id=2
    AND oklb1.dnz_chr_id=oklb2.dnz_chr_id
    AND oklb2.lse_id=9
    AND oki.CLE_ID=oklb2.id
    AND cii.system_id=csb.system_id
    AND oklt.LANGUAGE=USERENV ('LANG')) COVERAGE_TYPE
    FROM csi_systems_b csb ,
    csi_systems_tl cst ,
    hz_cust_accounts hca,
    hz_parties hp,
    fnd_lookup_values l
    WHERE csb.system_type_code = l.lookup_code (+)
    AND csb.system_id = cst.system_id
    AND hca.cust_account_id =csb.customer_id
    AND hca.party_id= hp.party_id
    AND cst.language = USERENV ('LANG')
    AND l.lookup_type (+) = 'CSI_SYSTEM_TYPE'
    AND l.language (+) = USERENV ('LANG')
    AND NVL (csb.end_date_active, SYSDATE+1) > SYSDATE)
    I have forced an index to avoid Full table scan on OKC_K_LINES_TL and suppressed an index on CSI_item_instances.instance id to make the view query fast.
    So when i do select * from XXX_INFO_VIEWit executes in a decent time,But when I try to do
    select * from XXX_INFO_VIEW where active_supp_flag='Y' and coverage_type='1'
    it takes lot of time.

    Hi,
    You should always try using primary index fields, if not possible then secondary index fields.
    Even if you cannot do anything from either of the two then try this,
    Use Less distinct fields on the top.
    In your case , you can use bukrs ,gjahr ,werks on the top in the where condition..then followed by less distinct values..
    Even when you use secondary index if you have 4 fields in your sec index and you are using only two fields from the top then the index is useful only upto that two fields provided they are in sequence.

  • Trouble with custom viewer for Android

    Hello, I have created a Custom Content Viewer for Android using Viewer Builder 1.5.1. After building the Content Viewer I sideloaded, v15 Android.apk and tested it on a Samsung Galaxy tab. It shows the empty gray viewer with no content.
    Is there something that I may have not done correctly with the android app? I want to test my viewer locally. I have uploaded folio with the same adobe Id, which I have used to create my content viewer but not able to find my content on tab.
    I have professional account for DPS, how to get "Sign In" button for my Content viewer and test it before uploading it to Android market? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanx in advance

    Got it. I tried booting with MOD_AUTOLOAD set to yes, and it was working fine. Looks like I needed to specify some more modules in my list.

  • CRM 2013: Custom button to Open multiselect lookup with custom view

    Hello Everyone,
    Looking for your suggestions to implement the following requirement.
    We want to implement a custom button on the sub grid of Custom Entity (Lets say, "PersonMapping"). The custom button should open another entity multi select lookup(Lets say, "Person"). Till here we could achieve by directly opening the
    multi lookup url of the Person using "Window.showModelDialog". But in this lookup, we want to set our custom view as default view. Please suggest some solution to achieve this.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    First of all I would advice you to post this question in the new CRM 2007 forum.
    We have created our own button that calls an URL in a separate window. Here is some coding from the method CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS which may inspirere you:
    CONCATENATE 'javascript:window.open'
                  lv_http
                  '","Print","resizable=yes,height=850,width=700,dependent=yes,status=1");'
             INTO lv_java.
      ls_button-type     = cl_thtmlb_util=>gc_icon_print.
      ls_button-tooltip  = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SALESQUOT_PRINT' ).
      ls_button-on_client_click = lv_java.
      ls_button-page_id  = me->component_id.
      ls_button-enabled  = abap_true.
      APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.
      CLEAR ls_button.
      ls_button-text     = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SORDER_CREATEFOLLOW-UP' )."#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-tooltip  = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SORDER_CREATEFOLLOW-UP' )."#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-on_click = 'FOLLOWUP'.                          "#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-page_id  = me->component_id.
      ls_button-enabled  = lv_persistent.
      APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.
      CLEAR ls_button.

  • Is there any way to create custom views, like in Thunderbird & Evolution?

    Hi Folks,
    I have recently switched to Mac. Before this I was using Linux. For mail I used Thunderbird (TB) for many years, and then eventually switched to Evolution Mail (EM) for its smoother integration into Linux.
    On both TB and EM I revolved my work flow around custom folder views. As new email came in I would label it (on EM, or tag it on TB). I have numerous inboxes (email accounts) so I would generally be starting out in a smart folder that displays all mail in each inbox. I would most of the time view that smart folder with a Custom View filter in place. The filter would simply display ONLY mail with NO tags/labels.
    Once my filter inbox showed NO messages it meant I had labeled everything. I would them use other smart folders to display mail with certain labels AND NO "Completed" label. That way I could go to my "Reply ASAP" folder and see what needed my immediate attention. Each email I replied to I would then add the label COMPLETED and it would vanish from my view.
    I explain the above in case someone has specific suggestions on how to achieve a similar workflow on Mail.
    In short, what I am wondering is this:
    - Is there a built in way to filter a folder on the spot (with a drop down list of predefined and custom Views) --- I have looked and so far did not find this feature
    - Is there a way to do this with a script or add-on? I have looked at many and not found a suitable one yet.
    I am appealing to the knowledge of those with more experience in Mail. It is new to me.
    I am currently using TB on my Mac because it gives me the above feature. BUT it does not have the same degree of integration with the OS and other Mac specific apps that Mail has. Thus I am keen to stick with Mail.
    With thanks,
    Jonathan

    In addition to above:
    I have installed a trial of Mailtags. It certainly improves the tagging capability of Mail.
    I have also looked at the Smart Mailboxes and Smart Mailbox Folders.
    As far as I can tell, however, there is no option to set up a smart mailbox that ONLY shows message with NO LABEL or NO MAILTAG (as the case may be). I can display messages with particular TAGS but not NO tags.
    Is there any way to add more options to the Smart Mailbox filter system?
    Cheers,
    Jonathan

  • How to create a customized view in SCOM monitoring to view alerts

    Hi All,
    I am trying to create a customized view in SCOM 2012 R2 monitoring for command center team to have the alerts from Server OS, AD, Exchange and few other MPs. I understand that I can use the option "Create by Specific source" and by selecting the

    Hi Srini,
    Based on the above requirement, You want to create a Dashboard view with Specific alerts but not all right ?
    Based on my understanding on your above requirement i created one in my SCOM. Please let me know if this is what you really wanted ?
    For the below you really need to know what are those alerts, ONLY those alerts you want to be displayed in the dashboard.
    Then Go to the Monitoring tab in SCOM and then Right click Active alerts and select New -> Select New Alert view
    When you select new alert view you will need to specify the Resolution state and the Specific alerts you want.
    In the below example i have selected "MSExchange Active sync Alert" as a example. So my goal is here such that only the alerts i have specified from my selection ( "MSExchange Active sync Alert") if it appears in New state will appear
    in this view not all other alerts.
    So for that i just used the below options:
    Resolution state & Alert name
    Resolution state = New
    Alert name = %MSExchange XXXXXXXX%
    Also as of i see there was no option for entering multiple alert names. But i think there is and i am still trying as it accepts some SQL Wild cards. So if any one has an idea what is the wild card what is to be used to mention multiple names in that Name
    view please let me know.

  • How to Create a Configuration Manager Console Custom View

    I am trying to create an assembly per the SDK example here:

    Now most of my references resolve but at compile time I get:
    Error 1 'MyCustomView.MyViewDescription' does not implement interface member 'Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.AdminConsole.IConsoleView.TypeOfView'. 'MyCustomView.MyViewDescription.TypeOfView' cannot implement an interface member because it is
    not public. \MyCustomView\Class2.cs 21 18 MyCustomView

    member because it is not public. \MyCustomView\Class2.cs 21 18 MyCustomView

    Error 5 'MyCustomView.MyViewDescription.TryConfigure(ref System.Xml.XmlElement)': no suitable method found to override MyCustomView\Class2.cs 24 109 MyCustomView
    I have been hunting around with a couple of decompilers looking for missing references etc for a few hrs and just can't seem to see what I am missing...
    I have included the code block here - typically of course I would not include multiple classes in the same CS file but for this POC it should be fine...
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.AdminConsole;
    using Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.AdminConsole.Views.Common;
    using Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.AdminConsole.Schema;
    using System.Reflection;
    using System.Xml;
    using Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.WpfViews;
    using Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.AdminConsole.ConsoleView;
    namespace MyCustomView
    public class MyViewController : OverviewControllerBase { public MyViewController() : base() { } public override void EndInit() { base.EndInit(); this.Content = new Label() { Content = "My Content" }; } }
    public class MyViewDescription : IConsoleView2
    override protected Type TypeOfViewController { get { return typeof(MyViewController); } }
    override protected Type TypeOfView { get { return typeof(Overview); } } public override bool TryConfigure(ref XmlElement persistedConfigurationData) { return false; }
    new public bool TryInitialize(ScopeNode scopeNode, AssemblyDescription resourceAssembly, ViewAssemblyDescription viewAssemblyDescription) { return true; }

    Hi Alfonso,
    I did eventually release the console extension (see screen shot at the bottom of the page
    here).
    It has been a while since I worked on this code but as I remember, once I got the references straightened out (see this thread), a lot of the confusion I had was just understanding that some of the programming that had to be done was in WPF (not WinForm).
     The sample code from Microsoft does work though.
    I never was able to figure out how to tie the "tree node menu item" functionality into the Ribbon (at the top of the SCCM console) so that is still on my TODO list.
    So, my advice to you is to start with the Microsoft example code (which I did) from the SCCM SDK and if you get compile time errors, look first for the SCCM assembly references (Microsoft.[ConfigurationManagement, ConfigurationManagement.ManagementProvider,
    EnterpriseManagement.UI.Foundation, EnterpriseManagement.UI.WpfViews) and then at the WPF assembly references (PresentationCore, PresentationFramework) for missing class references.
    I hope this information can help you.  Good luck sir!

  • Is it possible in iTunes 11 to get the old album list view, with covers and track listings like in 10?

    Is it possible in iTunes 11 to get the old album list view, with covers and track listings like in 10?
    If not, then to me that is a huge retrograde step

    No, the old album list view is not an option in iTunes 11...
    You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
    ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
    CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
    CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
    CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
    Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
    Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
    If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
    If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
    See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.
