Customize email Notifications sent from UWL

Hello,
Can the eMail notifications sent from UWL be customized in Portal 7.3 ?
Regards,
Jay.

Hi Jay
I hope you are well and many thanks for using the SAP Discussion Forums.
In relation to your query you mentioned the following:
Can the eMail notifications sent from UWL be customized in Portal 7.3 ?
In UWL lingo, notifications that you would see under the notification tab are specific to: Knowledge Management Collaboration Recent Notifications. Notifications through the Universal Worklist deal with Knowledge Management and Collaboration. If you are looking to integrate SAP Office within the Universal Worklist please refer to note 945484 How to receive office notifications in the universal
worklist.
Now in terms of actually customizing the emails themselves. From my research and understanding if
you are using the default mail notification this is not customizable. You can however put a notification task in the flow(just before the human task), if you want to customize the notification content. This would be done through the task ID for the workitems (you can find this through the enalbement of the support information).
Kindly update me as per your findings.
Kind Regards & All The Best

  • Customize email alert sent from server admin.

We have deployed a number of MacMini Servers at different client locations and need a way to customize the alert e-mail sent from server admin.
The alert simply states the name of the server but we need to add to it the location or client name as well so we have a way of differentiating between similar named servers at different sites.
No amount of google has helped here.
Anyone know how to customize the text being sent out by server admin to the alert e-mail address?

I'm referring to changes made only in the receiver, and within the Postfix server associated with the automated receiving processing.
Your proposed solution requires changes to the automated system on the receiving computer, and whether you choose to look at the subject line or at the target email address in the arriving mail seems (to me) not a significant difference in the receiving processing.
The automated processing would have to look at the subject line in your case.  It would have to look at the arriving address (for itself!) in the
Since I can infer some unfamiliarity with Postfix and SMTP, I'll put this a different way...  Configure the sending processing at the monitored site named FOO to send these messages to the email address  [email protected], where [email protected] is the email address of your automated receiver.  The same set-up over at site BAR is configured to send to [email protected], and (because you've tweaked the receiving Postfix server at EXAMPLE.COM to process the + sign as the same mailbox, it all arrives at the same mailbox.  Your automated server then looks at the address used, and sorts the messages accordingly.
This is very similar to your use of the subject line, save it requires no changes to the sender, and what are likely to be equivalent changes to the receiving processing.   If you can't change the receiving processing (at all) and you have only the subject line available to you, then you can use this scheme and put some simple custom SMTP message processing "in front of" the automated processing to rejigger the subject line.  That's all in-house, and it'll get you to the subject line.  Again, all of this without changes to the sending code, and the resulting maintenance headaches.  This custom-processing is all in-house and entirely within your shop.
(This same +-based message processing can be used within he Apple Mail client and its rules, for instance; it's a fairly common technique to identify the source of the mail message.  Directly, in this case, or potentially who leaked your email address in the case of unsolicited third-party mail.  FWIW.)

  • How to customize email notifications sent by Cisco Prime.

    Hi,
We have been receiving email alerts for any unresponsive devices in Cisco Prime. I was able to find the option to customize the subject for such email alert under Admin-Network-Notification and Action settings, however I am not able to locate the option to change the email body.
The email body for such alerts has lot of unrequired information which I would like to remove.
Can someone provide me the options on how to get rid of such information in the email body.

  • Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench

    Hi All,
I Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench, if is there any possiblility kindly guide me guys as I am stuck up due to this.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I can see two CWB workflows - bencwbfy.wft and benssenrtfyi.wft. These are available under $BEN_TOP. You can open these workflows through the Oracle Workflow Builder and note down their workflow names. Thereafter, you can download the definitions of these workflows (most current workflows from the database) from the database through the concurrent program - Workflow Definitions Loader - which should result in the wft files on the destination you've provided running the concurrent program.
Copy those files from the server, and edit them locally using Workflow Definitions Loader to remove or redirect workflow notifications appropriately. Please be aware that this amounts to a customization so you should evaluate the impacts of doing this on your installation. Also, for CWB to support custom workflow, my understanding is that you need to be at Family Pack J or above (you may wish to validate this through Support, though).

My mother used to be the bill payer on my iTunes account so now every time I send an email from my iCloud account it sent with her name, how can I change the settings so emails are sent from myself?
I've changed the bill payer to myself but it stills says on emails that I sent that its from my mother.

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.
You'd need to add an account here:

  • Tracking notifications sent from BPM process - User Messaging Service

    Hi,
I have a requirement to track the notifications sent from all the BPM processes in one place.
My Requirement is to (1. Check the status, sender, receiver of the notification, 2. view the actual content of the notification, 3. Resend the notification)
Few options I have explored are below. Need experts advice please
    1. Enterprise Manager gives the option to check each notification status and option to resend the message. I have two problems with this option
         a) It does not solve my requirement of 'viewing the content of the message'. It does not show what is the actual message content. though we can see other notification details like sender, receiver etc...
         b) users does not want to go to enterprise manager. They need a separate UI based on ADF.
    2. Tried to build a UI based on UMS EJB API and UMS WebService API. Both the APIs provide the operations to check the status of the message. But there is no API that returns the actual content of the message
         a) It does not solve my requirement of 'viewing the content of the message'. Both the APIs does not expose any operation to retrieve the message/message content. I see AccessPoint as one options but, In my      case, Application need to track the messages sent to all the users, not particular address.
         b) There is no operation exposed to resend the message. Not sure how it is being done through enterprise manager.
    3. Tried by directly accessing the ORASDPM schema of UMS to fetch the content of the message. found that the content of the message is stored in 'MESSAGE_OBJECT' Blob column of 'MESSAGE' table.
Built an ADF application based on ORASDPM schema. Following issues:
         a) could not parse the BLOB column data. Tried using a blob converter which converts the stream to text. but the conversion is not happening properly.
         b) Need to figure out how to resend the message.
    My environment: Oracle 11g , JDeveloper 11g Release 1 11.1.1.6.0
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Why i couldn't open email that sent from Outlook?

Please help me for this matter, i had bought my BB Curve 8520 for just only 5 days and use latest firmware. I have setup 2 emails 1.) hotmail  2.) Outlook (Official mail) i found this issue after i had setup my office email for a few days.
Issue is when i open email that sent from Outlook (Official mail) that contained file .png or attached with file .png by using HTML  my bb couldn't open it, it will stuck but i can use any function but just the email that didn't open.
I ha contacted with my Local support, they inform me to do the hard reset, after i had hard reset it working fine with same email that couldn't open previously. After one day had past it has the same issue again.
Please help me to fixed this issue, thank you in advance.
P.S. I had never install any unauthorized program.

Photoshop doesn't do anything special or different when a file is sent from an attachment. However, when you send an attachment from Outlook to Photoshop, that file is actually downloaded to your computer in a Temp folder before it is sent to Photoshop. Often times the permissions on this folder can be such that it prevents access. Other than that, all Outlook does is simply drop the file onto the Photoshop app file. The only thing that would involve Photoshop directly is if there are some damaged files involved with its connection to the rest of the system. If this is the case a reinstall would fix it. Otherwise, check the permissions on the Outlook temp folder (or at least the JPEG file it is trying to save).

Sound like a pfishing email rather than your account being hacked.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4933.

  • After I updated Firefox, several emails were sent from my email addresses without my permission. What happened?

After being prompted to and finishing an upgrade with Firefox, several emails were sent from my email accounts without my permission. One was an email that I had sent to a business more than a year ago. This is very embarrassing. They were sent using the Firefox browser. What happened? Thank you for your response.

Firefox is not capable of sending emails. An extension, however, could. If you have any extensions that allow you to send emails, you should write a review on their [http://example.com page].

  • Setting the account your email is sent from

I have followed the instructions for Setting the account your email is sent from, but it is not working.
Email is not being sent from the account I have at the top of my list of accounts in my mail preferences.
How do I fix this problem?
    IMAC G3   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Copied from Mail Help:
If you have set up multiple accounts in Mail, when you create a new message, the account the message is sent from is the one associated with the currently selected mailbox. If the current mailbox is listed in the On My Mac section of the mailbox list and is not associated with any particular account, then your message is sent from the first account listed in the Accounts pane of Mail Preferences.
When you reply to a message, the From address is selected in the following order:
The To and Cc fields are compared to email addresses you have set up in Mail Preferences. Mail uses the first address it finds as the reply address.
If the message is in an account mailbox, Mail uses the email address for the account the mailbox belongs to.
If all else fails, Mail uses the email address for the first account listed in the Accounts pane of Mail Preferences.
Tiger Mail includes a default account selection for "send new mail from" regardless which mailbox is currently selected when selecting New to compose a new message.

  • Spam email being sent from my AOL account

    Hi All
I know there are a lot of posts on this, I have had a look through but nothing seems to mach my circumstances.
Early this morning I received a few email failure notifications to emails I didn't send.
I checked my sent items and sure enough I had 14 new items that I didn't send.
I was using my macbook at the approximate time the emails were sent and it was acting strange, I tried to close the lid to put it to sleep but it stayed on. I tried a couple more time and it eventually did.
The odd thing is the email addresses that have been emailed are definitely ones I have used in the past but years before I even had my mac, so I don't think its a virus on my machine as the addresses don't exist anywhere on it (history or address book), not all email addresses in my local address book where emailed so it looks like the virus has used email addresses from my AOL history (I don't use an address book within AOL if such a thing exists)
So I am confused as to where the virus is running, it hasn't just used my email address as the from field because I recognise most of the addresses it emailed but as I said from years before I even had my Macbook. But also as I said my Macbook was acting strange at the approximate time the emails were sent.
It seems very unlikely that AOL themselves have a virus (but I have contacted them also to be sure).
    Any suggestions?
I am runnning 10.6.6 on a 2010 Macbook. Email client is Mail.
    Many thanks
    Martyn

Hi. Ive had the same thing happen to me. Ive finally got round to deleting all of my emails and on the 17th April around midnight 'I' sent loads of emails to people only it wasnt me! A few of them had been returned unsent to me but quite a few went through. I checked my sent box and it is some bloke from China advertising his Ebay business and his website!!!  After that night my email returned to normal. The only thing that strikes me as weird though is that day/night is when all of the ps3 details got stolen and we have recently brought a ps3 and given most of our details. Maybe this is all related?  Shelley

  • How can I have an email notification sent to me (it's already sent to the submitter of the form)?

I've created a form and have allowed the "email submission receipt" so an email is sent out to the submitter confirming that the person filled out the form. Is there any way to have that same email sent to me?
I tried the option of using "Email Notifications", but it says my email address isn't verified. I am a collaborator instead of the author and can't change the author's email address to mine.
    Help!
    Thanks.
    Karen

I want to add to my last reply as this is a bit confusing.
You say you are NOT the author of the form. What are your rights to the form? Are you a co-author, contributor or reader? Author and Co-authors can turn the feature on and off. Contributors and Readers don't have the rights to do so.
You say : "I am a collaborator instead of the author and can't change the author's email address to mine". What do you mean? Is it disabled (greyed out)? If the feature is turned on (check box "Send email notifications when submissions are received" is checked) then you should be able to add yourself to the "To" field.
Note that to receive notifications to a specific email address that email address needs to be a FormsCentral account (it can be a free account). If it isn't then make sure you create an account for that email address, accept the TOU and then confirm the email address after receiving the email from FormsCentral. Only after those steps are done will you be able to receive email notifications. We can only send notification to FormsCentral accounts so that the user can opt-in/otp-out of the notifications emails.

  • Email Notification - Variables from Object Form.

    Hello All,
I have a object form and I have a approval process definition. I want to send a email notification with the values of the data entered in the object form by the user.
I am able to receive the email but I am unable to retrieve the data from the object form into email being sent out.
    Amit.

I actually had to check the email defs but it seems like you simply can't get access to the object data in an approval email notification.
If you need this functionality you probably need to use an entity adapter, fire on post insert on request, use the APIs to extract the email def and the data from the object form and then send using Javamail.
    Good luck
