Customizing a User Management OAF Page - Approach

Hi,
I have a requirement to customize a User Management Registration Page for external user.
I need to add 4 new fields on the page. Perform certain validations on those fields and then derive and pass PartyId value to the already existing column in the Entity object.
Entity object does not write directly in table but uses a "RegistrationBean" to insert row in the table.
Could you please tell me whats the best approach to do the customization.
Thanks!

Hi Parag,
Thanks for looking into this.
I am trying to customize "B2CRegistrationPG" under "oracle.apps.fnd.umx.userAdmin.webui".
I am using "Individual User Registration" process. User Management -> Registration Processes -> Select Self Service Account creation in "Type" field.
To see this page on application, you need to setup profile option: "UMX: Register Here Link - Default Registration Process" to "Individual User Registration" at server level.
Launch Oracle applications login page. "register here" link will appear on th ehome page after setting the profile option. This link opens this page.
With the standard functionality this process creates a fnd user and a person party.
I want to include customer number field on this page. My requirement is to create party relationship along with fnd user and person party as mentioned above.
Oracle has provided a business even that create evrything I wanted just that I should be able to pass the party id to it through the OAF Page.
B2CRegistrationPG already contains OrganizationId formvalue. This formvalue is attached to View Instance -"OrganizationsVO" and view attribute - "PartyId".
OrganizationsVO is made of OrganizationsEO which contains the code to call registrationBean to set the partyid " registrationbean.setOrganizationPartyId(getPartyId().toString());"
I am trying to extend the controller on the "person information" region and set the form value in controller, which I have not been successful with. It just does not set OrganizationId form value.
Any kind of inputs will be appreciated
Thanks!

    Hi,
I would like to know how to customize the login page of Right Management (and if possible the AdminUI one). In the Adobe documentation, I've only found how to customize the login page of LiveCycle WorkSpace, but nothing for the other modules.
Do you have any hint for this customizaton ?

  • ISetup for use with User Management / Resources - Roles and & RBAC

    Hi,
I have a requirement to migrate Instance Sets, Roles, Grants to Roles etc. Basically, lots of stuff from the "User Management" OAF pages.
Is it possible to use iSetup for this, or is there an alternative?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mugunthan ,
sorry, should have mentioned that on my original post. We are on 12.1.1 on all target and source environments. Can you point me in the direction of some doco for creating the sets?
Supplementary question: Is it possible to export the custom selection set into an artefact, like a file or something that can be stored in version control? Ultimately, I would like to use isetup to manage the export of these artefacts and then use "a" backend version of isetup, similar to the jrad tools for importing XML documents. Does any backend functionality exist? I presume it's API based?

  • Is it possible to launch a form from an OAF page using OAF Personalization

In R11, the Customer Standard form ARXCUDCI was customized to call a custom block from the Address screen. In R12 the customer standard form has become an OAF page. We have decided to create a custom form for the custom block using Oracle Developer. However we need a mechanism to call this custom form from the Customer Standard OAF page.
My query is if it is possible to call a custom form from an OAF page using OAF personalization only (i.e. without directly customizing the code of the OAF page)
    Thanks
    Sanjay

    Dear Apurba,
    I have made some progress.
I have open the Customers OAF Page, queried a customer, selected a site and opened it.
Then chose Personalize "Account Site Address"
There I added a Button on the Header Address level
    ID=XXTVL_LASSY_BUTTON
Populated the Additional Text and Prompt properties.
    Also set Destination URI=form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU.
The button is now showing in the address page, and when I click on it it opens the seeded Menu form.
I now have to create the custom form and set Destination URI to the Custom Form.
I am also aware how to add parameters to Destination URI.
But could you let me know how to read the value from a OAF page form field and reference it in Destination URI.
I need the value of PARTY_SITE_ID of the Address OAF page.
Alternatively, the Site Number is displayed on the OAF page. If I can read it that will also do. I can use the Site Number in the custom form rather than PARTY_SITE_ID
    Thanks
    Sanjay

  • How can i use AME for the new OAF page.

    Dear all,
I have developed a new OAF page and registered under Employee Self Service.
How can i use AME for the approval process.
    Appreciate your ideas?
    zamora

I will try to answer based on my experience of working with iProcurement and AME. It depends on how you want to make a call to AME , directly from OAF Page or from Workflow and your requirement. You didn't specify what you want to show the users on OAF Page and your business requirement.
Before calling AME Engine from the OAF page or workflow, I guess you did already setup AME Transaction Type and it's Approval Groups, Conditions, Action Types and Rules. Do some testing from AME Business Analyst Test Workbench. Please note that, AME provides lot of PL/SQL API's that you have to call from your programs (java or workflow pl/sql)
Let's look at the workflow and putting an OAF Page as notification.
As Sameer said, you have kick-off workflow process from PR of CO and with in the workflow function, you make a call to AME Engine API's with the AME Transaction ID. This transactionId belongs to the AME Transsaction Type that you setup. Based on the rules setup, AME Engine generates list of approvers/approver and stores them AME Tables for that transactionId. Then, it sends a notification to the approver.
In the workflow, where that notification is defined, in the message body you have to put an attribute(&XX_WF_FWK_RN) of type document/send. And this attribute will have the constant JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNC&paramId=-&DOCUMENT_ID-. This function is SSWA Jsp function that makes a web html call to your OAF Region.
If your requirement is to just show the list of approvers on the OAF Page, you may have to call AME API diectly passing your AME TrasnactionId with other parameters. Then AME generates list of approvers and stores them in AME tables with each approver status. You can pickup those approvers using VO and show them on OAF Page.
    Hope this gives some idea.

  • Add a custom button on notification page and open a oaf page after button

My Requirement is add a custom button on notification page and after button click with take some parameter from notification page like supplier_id and org_id then open a new oaf page and show supplier credit and debit balance but problem is that button is only enable to a ap invoices notification not for other type of notification.
    how to take approach/action i don't know.
it is possible through OAF personalization/customization or it is part of work flow customization.
Navigation path - payable->worklist->open notification and Type of notification also there
Type should be matched with AP_Invoices type notification then custom button enable.

  • Customized JSP Page for LOV from a OAF Page

We want a customized LOV page that will be a new JSP page instead of OAF JRAD XML. Right next to this new item we will put a link to open us this new JSP page. The base page is OAF page. When user selects the data from the new LOV JSP page, it has to be passed to the base page items. Is it possible to acheive this?

You cannot do that, all queries and eventual data binds to UIX beans must ha[[en through VOs.
What I can suggest as a workaround is this.
    1. Create a normal LOV based on a VO
    2. Create rows for the LOV VO
    3. populate the attributes of the VO row with the values that you have in your collection object.
    4. Insert the row in your VO.

Subject: (forte-users) Session management for page builder
    Hi everybody,
We have a lot of legacy code making use of the page builder service to
produce web pages. These pages were originally written without session
management. I'm now busy adding session management to them, but there is
one problem with this approach and I will appreciate if someone can shed
some light on it. Here it is:
    Page one is submitted.
Some validation (authentication) takes place and depending on the outcome,
either page 2A (SESSION_REQUIRED) or 2B (error page with
SESSION_UNSPECIFIED) must be displayed. In order to implement this, I
needed a place to make a decision. The way I've done it, is to pass a
'virtual page' (SESSION_UNSPECIFIED) to the page builder service. The
validation is done here and request.PageName is then replaced with the
PageName of pages 2A or 2B. The HandleRequest() method is then called
again. The problem is that the ValidateSession() method does not get
invoked again, thus allowing 2A through without a session. How do I make
sure that the ValidateSession() method get invoked again?
The approach making use of templates look to me as if it has all the means
to do this (redirect tag), but I don't want to rewrite everything if I
don't have to. Is there a way that a pagebuilder page can be specified by
the redirect tag? This will definitely help, but so far I've only managed
to call templates from the redirect tag.
Is the template approach better suited for session management? It is
    definetely better documented...
    Regards.

  • Customized OAF page -- Duplicates Issue

    Hi All,
We have a customized OAF page which allows user to perform the below operations,
    1. Query for records
    2. Add a new row
    3. Save the changes
Issue is 3 of the fields in the page are of unique combination. We perform the validation to ensure unique values only get stored, if user tries to enter an value combination which already exists then system throws an error. But when user enters valid records and save it, the previously entered wrong data also gets stored to database.
I have explained the scenario below, Item id/global code/local code are the unique combination fields
    1. User enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T1
    Saved successfully.
    2. User now enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T2
When tries to save, get error message as Combination already exist. If i search for item id IT123 and Global code 100 it shows only 1 row
    3. User now enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 101 T3
Saves the data successfully. But if i search for item id IT123 and global code 100 i am getting 3 rows as below,
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T1
    IT123 100 100 T2

  • Unable to retain menucontext when opening a seeded OAF page from Custom OAF

    Hi All,
We are opening a Standard OAF page from a custom OAF page
We have a custom page where we are providing a link “PlanElements” to the user. When the user clicks on this link he will get “PlanElements” page.
In “PlanElements” we are providing a link UpdateRates. When the user clicks on this link he will get “UpdateRates” page of another responsibility in new window.
Our problem is if the user clicks on the updaterates link we are losing the menucontext on our custom page. We are able to retain the AM but we are losing the menu context. We have tried using OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT to retain menu context but of no use.
Any pointers on this would be helpful.

  • How to enable the DFF in OAF page(where Dff is based on the custom table).

    Hi Experts!!
I am in the process of enabling the dff in OAF page. I am not able to enable the dff if am using the Custom table.
    Ex:
Assume that my DFF XX_DFF is using the custom table XX_TABLE of att1,att2..
I am able to enable the dff in OAF page but not able to make those values entered to get stored in the custom table.
I need helping hands to help me out to get the entered dff values stored in my custom table.
Kindly provide me the steps so that I can follow up..
    Best wishes,
    Thiru.

I need to store the captured values of Dff(which was enabled in the seeded page based on the custom table XX_Table) and the same needs to be stored into the custom table xx_Table.
Basically the entered values for the DFF enabled should have to be get stored in the XX_TABLE(Custom TAble). As per my understands in Standard page u want create some extra fields and those should be save in custom table...is it ...
For that u r going create stack layout region in standard page via personalization and extend with custom region.
IF im geting u correctly u need to write code in co and am.
