Customizing change requests (class and form) yields error when closing/cancelling

I'm having the exact issue that was posted here:  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/880a19f9-d5a7-4044-bdb4-fbd43c3c8d5b/closing-cr-using-extended-form-error?forum=customization
However, it appears there was never a resolution.  I've created a custom class (named TestChangeRequest) inheriting from System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest as the base -- but whenever I try to run the Close or Cancel task I'm getting the error described
in the above link.  Does anyone know the proper way to resolve this?

Hi,
You created a new class and have to build new console tasks for all problematic actions like Close and Cancel in your case.
Start with
this.
Cheers,
Marat

  • Change the class and type in javascript or select statement of region

    Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
    I have a manually created tabular form where I need pk to be updatable or not not updateable depending on whether its a new record or not.
    I am attempting this thru 2 different ways.
    1st:
    using decode in select statement of region:
    SELECT decode(c001,NULL,APEX_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV(15,c001,'AUTH_LOV',NULL,NULL,0,NULL,NULL,NULL,'YES','f15_' || '#ROWNUM#'),
    apex_item.display_and_save(15,c001,'f15_'|| '#ROWNUM#')) authid,
    apex_item.hidden(16, c002, NULL,'f16_'|| '#ROWNUM#') empid,
    -- apex_item.display_and_save(16,c002,'f16_'|| '#ROWNUM#') empid,
    apex_item.date_popup(17, rownum, c003, 'DD-MON-YYYY',20,2000,NULL,'f17_' || '#ROWNUM#')deldate,
    apex_item.textarea(18,c004,5,40,NULL,'f18_'|| '#ROWNUM#') "Delegation scope",
    apex_item.textarea(19,c005,5,40,NULL,'f19_'|| '#ROWNUM#')"Delegation limits",
    apex_item.select_list_from_lov(20,c006,'YESNO_LOV',NULL,'NO','N','%','f20_'|| '#ROWNUM#')"ORA Signed",
    apex_item.date_popup(21, rownum, c007, 'DD-MON-YYYY', 20,2000,NULL,'f21_' || '#ROWNUM#') "Del expiry",
    apex_item.date_popup(22, rownum, c008, 'DD-MON-YYYY', 20,2000,NULL,'f22_' || '#ROWNUM#') "Date removed",
    apex_item.textarea(23,c009,5,40,NULL,'f23_'|| '#ROWNUM#') "Delegation comments",
    apex_item.POPUP_FROM_LOV(24,c010,'DELEGATION_LOV',NULL,NULL,0,NULL,NULL,NULL,'YES','f24_' || '#ROWNUM#') "Delegator",
    apex_item.display_and_save(25,c011,'f25_'|| '#ROWNUM#') status,
    -- apex_item.display_and_save(26,seq_id,'f26_'|| '#ROWNUM#') seq_id,
    apex_item.hidden(26, seq_id,NULL,'f26_'|| '#ROWNUM#') ||
    apex_item.checkbox(27, seq_id,NULL,NULL,':','f27_'|| '#ROWNUM#') chkbx
    FROM apex_collections
    WHERE collection_name = 'DELEG_COLL'
    AND c011 IN ('O','N','U','D')
    --order by c001However this approach yields this error when I try to pick a value from the lov:
    Error: Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus.
    My other approach is to attempt to change the type and class in javascript. I am trying this but I get an error when I attempt to change the class and type like this:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    /* Client side validation on the Salary column */
    function changeProp(pCol) {
       var elms = document.getElementsByName(pCol);
       for (i=0; i< elms.length; i++) {
    /*       elms.style.backgroundColor = 'yellow'; */
    if (elms[i].value == null || elms[i].value == '%null%'
    || elms[i].value == '') {
    elms[i].class = 't20data';
    elms[i].type = 'hidden';
    alert('The value is' + elms[i].value);
    //-->
    </script>

    not completely duplicate...here in this thread I am stressing what I am trying to accomplish and asking for help on the javascript side.

  • How to include Change Request Title and Description in Approval email

    Trying to figure out how to include the title and description of a Change Request in the email that goes to the managers when they approve it. Below is what we have now in the email template.
    Change request $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Id$: $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity'
    SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Title$, created by $Context/Path[Relationship='WorkItem!System.WorkItemCreatedByUser' TypeConstraint='System!System.User']$?$DisplayName$?, requires your
    approval.
    You can complete this request by replying to this message with [Approved] or [Rejected] in your message body (note the brackets).
    Alternatively, you can complete the request by looking up Review Activity $Context/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Id$ under the Activity Management views in the Service Manager Console and manually approving or rejecting it there.
    This basically translates to:
    Change request CR#: Test Change Request, created by TestUser1, requires your approval.
     You can complete this request by replying to this message with [Approved] or [Rejected] in your message body (note the brackets).
    Alternatively, you can complete the request by looking up Review Activity RA# under the Activity Management views in the Service Manager Console and manually approving or rejecting it there.
    When I click on Insert, there is a huge list of items and sub-items with all kinds of properties and I don't know what to select.
    The Targeted Class of the template is Activity

    $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target'
    TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Title$
    This translates to the Title of the CR (given that the targeted activity is contained in a CR). Simply replace
    Title with Description.
    Also if the Change Manager can approve a CR just by the description you have bigger issues (or just putting everything in the description). What about a reason? Implementation
    plan, rollback plan, testing, etc.?

  • Custom Change Request Selection for Customer/Supplier Update

    Hi experts,
    Anyone knows how is possible to display the change request selector popup when starting a Customer/Supplier/BP update?
    For MDG-C and S I only have this popup when is related to creation process. When is a update the standard change request is considered for the process.
    Screen on creating a customer
    What I need is the same screen when starting an update process, because I will need to specify a Z change request type. Anyone knows if this can be made with some configuration?
    Kind Regards,
    Fabiano Moraes

    Hello Fabiano,
    You will get this pop-up only if you have more than one CR type linked to the corresponding business activity. If you only have one CR type, then that CR type opens up by default.

  • Confusion on using USING/CHANGING in PERFORMS and FORMS

    I got a little confused with PERFORM statements.
    As far as I understood, the FORM definition is the one that ultimately defines which variable is going to be handled by value and which by reference (Using either USING, USING VALUE(...) or CHANGING (which is a particularity to deal with recursive functions). Thus, why does the PERFORM statement also accepts the CHANGING option ?
    Should I worry with the way the PERFORM statement is written or can I simply imply from it the values of the parameters passed, in a given moment of execution ?
    Thanks
    Avraham

    Hi
    The USING and CHANGING additions in the FORM statement define the formal parameters of a subroutine. The sequence of the additions is fixed. Each addition can be followed by a list of any number of formal parameters. When you call a subroutine, you must fill all formal parameters with the values from the actual parameters. At the end of the subroutine, the formal parameters are passed back to the corresponding actual parameters.
    Within a subroutine, formal parameters behave like dynamic local data. You can use them in the same way as normal local data objects that you would declare with the DATA statement. They mask global data objects with the same name. The value of the parameters at the start of the subroutine is the value passed from the corresponding actual parameter.
    Parameters Passed by Reference
    You list these parameters after USING or CHANGING without the VALUE addition:
    FORM <subr> USING    ... <pi> [TYPE <t>|LIKE <f>] ...
                CHANGING ... <pi> [TYPE <t>|LIKE <f>] ...
    The formal parameter occupies no memory of its own. During a subroutine call, only the address of the actual parameter is transferred to the formal parameter. The subroutine works with the field from the calling program. If the value of the formal parameter changes, the contents of the actual parameter in the calling program also change.
    For calling by reference, USING and CHANGING are equivalent. For documentation purposes, you should use USING for input parameters which are not changed in the subroutine, and CHANGING for output parameters which are changed in the subroutine.
    To avoid the value of an actual parameter being changed automatically, you must pass it by value.
    Input Parameters That Pass Values
    You list these parameters after USING with the VALUE addition:
    FORM <subr> USING    ... VALUE(<pi>) [TYPE <t>|LIKE <f>] ...
    The formal parameter occupies its own memory space. When you call the subroutine, the value of the actual parameter is passed to the formal parameter. If the value of the formal parameter changes, this has no effect on the actual parameter.
    Output Parameters That Pass Values
    You list these parameters after CHANGING with the VALUE addition:
    FORM <subr> CHANGING ... VALUE(<pi>) [TYPE <t>|LIKE <f>] ...
    The formal parameter occupies its own memory space. When you call the subroutine, the value of the actual parameter is passed to the formal parameter. If the subroutine concludes successfully, that is, when the ENDFORM statement occurs, or when the subroutine is terminated through a CHECK or EXIT statement, the current value of the formal parameter is copied into the actual parameter.
    If the subroutine terminates prematurely due to an error message, no value is passed. It only makes sense to terminate a subroutine through an error message in the PAI processing of a screen, that is, in a PAI module, in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event, or after an interactive list event.

  • TCode CHARM_CREATE for customized change request ZDCR?

    Hi,
      Q1. is there a way to configure the ChaRM system for the CHARM_CREATE transaction to target  a customized ZDCR transaction type?
      Q2. is there a way to copy the CHARM_CREATE transaction code to the customer namespace(Z*)  and  then alter it to target the customized ZDCR transaction type?
    Grateful for any assist from ChaRM gurus on these questions ... I am getting much joy with successes in customizing ChaRM for our requirements. We have copied SDCR & other standard tranactions, status, texts etc. With customized ZDCR transaction type & new precesses, actions, conditions etc. we have got a customer specific process flow with e-mails that we are happy with.   (This is on SolMan 7.0 SP25).
    I would like to have the "enjoySAP" type of fast transaction entry screen like CHARM_CREATE.
    The CHARM_CREATE transaction brings up a popup which creates a change request that targets the  standard SDCR transaction type.  The fields given for fast entry are those from SDCR (Not my customized ZDCR) and at completion of the CHARM_CREATE transaction entry,  the change request is of transaction type SDCR.
    At transaction DNO_CUST04, we have tried to edit the parameter with field name "CHANGE_REQUEST" sequence "1" and given new value "ZDCR". The CHARM_CREATE enjoySAP transaction still nevertheless targets the standard SDCR transaction type.
    Have phished oceans of blog and rivers of SAP SSM webpages to no avail and I'm still clueless. Will give good points for a hint?
    tnx,
    Steve A

    Hello Mr. Amorsen,
    Follow Charm_create step by step using customer name:
    1- Create a new transaction using t_code SE93 (E.g.: ZCHARM_CREATE )
    2 - Copy the program : CHANGE_REQUEST_CREATE_SOCM to Z using SE38
    3 - In SE93, change the program to Z created in step before
    4 - In SE80 Copy the function group Change-request_socm to Z
    5 - copy the function modules too (will appear a pop-up asking for this)
    6 - Change  the include ; LZCHANGE_REQUEST_SOCMTOP
         IN LINE 30 : gc_processtype(4) TYPE c
                VALUE 'ZDCR',  "process type for change request
         Change value to ZDCR
    7 - Activate all
    8 - In SE38 report: ZCHANGE_REQUEST_CREATE_SOCM , change the call function SOCM_CHANGE_REQUEST_CREATE to Z
    9 - activate.
    Done !!!

  • Modification request - Search and Form History

    Hi,
    Firefox options are currently set to include a checkbox for "Remember search and form history." I'd like to request that this be modified to two separate checkboxes: "Remember Search History" and "Remember Form History."
    Why? Because some people want one but not both. I want to be able to fill in forms quickly at sites that I frequent. But I don't want the search bar regurgitating search phrases that I'm no longer looking for. Searches and forms are different situations and should be treated as such.
    Thank you.

    Boilerplate-text:
    Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?
    As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by keeping command-alt-shift pressed on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
    System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

    Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
    If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.

  • FR Formula Yields #ERROR when adding #MISSING & #MISSING

    I have reports recently migrated from FR 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2, and the reports are showing the #ERROR message in report formula that showed #MISSING in version 11.1.1.3.
    The FR Formula is adding 2 rows with #MISSING & #MISSING in all the columns.
    It appears the FR version 11.1.2.2 resolves #MISSING plus #MISSING as #ERROR when version 11.1.1.3 yields #MISSING.
    The workaround is to substitute a character for #ERROR, but it could be a huge job updating many reports.
    Is this a known bug? Is there a global fix? Any ideas?
    Edited by: user13388407 on Feb 21, 2013 2:51 PM

    --This is a known bug and we got a response from Oracle on it today.
    "The behavior was indeed changed because the previous results in 11.1.1.3 version were incorrect.
    There has been a bug raised for this issue and development team confirmed it. The bug details - Bug 12956217: FORMULA CELLS RETURNING #ERROR RATHER THAN #MISSING.
    And the development has also added new server-side property named MissingValuesAreZeroInFormulas in the 11.1.2.x versions, It determines how to treat #Missing values during the evaluation of grid formulas and calculations. This property is similar to the existing MissingValuesAreZeroInFormulasInHFM property except that it applies to all datasources (not just HFM-based grids).
    The new MissingValuesAreZeroInFormulas can have the following values:
    * A value of false (or 0) means that #Missing values are not the same as zero.
    * A value of true (or 1) means that #Missing values are treated as zero.
    The default value is false (i.e. #missing values are not treated as zero).
    Kindly try to use the new server-side property if it suits your FR reports. And it is available in the FRconfig.cmd (.sh)."
