Customs Duty Tax Code

Hi,
How To define customs duty tax code. The code breakup goes as follows
Customs Duty on Assessable value                     = 10%
CVD on (Assessable value + 10% Custom Duty) = 10%
Edu Cess on CVD                                                  = 2%
HSE Cess on CVD                                                 = 1%
Edu Cess on Customs Duty                                   = 2%
HSE Cess on Customs Duty                                  = 1%
Additional Duty (on Imports)                                  = 4% (on total value i.e. assessable value + all above)
Regards,
Mansoor.

Hi Mirza....
If you know how to define a normal tax code then you can create custom duty tax code also. You need to know on which amount how much %age of tax is applied.
Say, Custom duty has 7 main Components.
Customs Duty on Assessable value = 10%
CVD on (Assessable value + 10% Custom Duty) = 10%
Edu Cess on CVD = 2%
HSE Cess on CVD = 1%
Edu Cess on Customs Duty = 2%
HSE Cess on Customs Duty = 1%
Additional Duty (on Imports) = 4%
In Order to define tax code please refer this thread.

  • Update customer's tax code?

    Hello
My requirement is to update the tax jurisdiction code (TXJCD / ADRC - TAXJURCODE) of a existing customer, I didn't find any FM / BAPI / API because we want to go w/ BDC as a last option
    Thank you

    Hello Kishor,
The runtime will be reduced only when you call the FM "SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL".
Let me explain you, FM "SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL" is called internally inside BAPI "BAPI_CUSTOMER_CHANGEFROMDATA". at line number 160.
If you use BAPI it will excute this 160 lines of waste and then the function module is called.
If you use the function module, you don't need to execute 160 lines and obviously it reduces our runtime.
Please let me know, are you okay with my explanation, still having some doubt ?

  • Custom duty should be copied into the Sales order based on material

    Hi,
Requirement is only Custom duty  Tax condition types to copied into the sales order based on material (for e.g A) .Suppose customer X is buying material Y then different tax condition types is to be applied but if the same customer  is buying material A then only Custom duty will be copied.
But we can set in the customer Master whether the maerial is taxable or not.So where to do the right tax classification settings so that sysyem will automatically fetch the right  tax condition types if i enter one  material which is applicable for Custom Duty only
    We are using TAXINJ.
    Regards
    Jyoti

    Dear Jyoti
As per your post, the material code is different for the same customer and hence you can differentiate the tax classification in material master.  That is for material X, if you maintain Tax classification 1 in Sales Org1 view, maintain 2 for the material Y.
Now maintain different tax code for these tax classifications in VK11 / UTXJ.
    thanks

  • Tax variation while considering custom duty

    Hi
Trader imports an item at Rs100, 25Rs is custom duty, so he sells the client at Rs 125 but Excise structure is not valid on unit price as Rs 125, it is valid on price Rs 100.client has to apply tax on Rs100.along with this additional duty is levied which is to be added somewhere in order to calculate vat according to this additional duty.below is example and the tax is combination of :Excise+VAT.
Eg: 125 Rs is cost price of client
    Bed is 10% on 100Rs
    Cess is 2% on 100Rs
    Hcess is 1% on 100Rs
Additional duty of Rs4 to be added in Bed and then according to this Vat is calculated on the basis of
    4% on (125BedCessHcessAdditional duty)
Please suggest me where to use and how to use in system?
    Thanks

    Hi Krishna,
For excisable Items you have the option to calculate the excise duty on the assesable value. From the form settings you will be able to bring the column in the excise invoice and the A/R invoice. In the tax code you are creating put in this formulae if the Assesable Value > 0 then ......( put the calculations). Now while posting the document put the " Unit Price as 125 and the assesable value as 100. Then the system calculates the tax amout on Rs.100. So your perpose will be done.
But let me add one thing more to this, As per the norms the excise can be charged on the assesable value ( I mean any price other than the sales price) but vat has to be charged on the sales unit price. This is a ststutory requirement. So if the client says that the vat will also be calculated on te Rs 100 then though you can do that in that system by formulae modification fo tax code but this will not be legally correct. So just review the vat calculation and and get confirmed.

    Raj

  • TAXINN SD For Excise Duty where to maintain TAX CODE in condition record?

is Tax code necessary for excise determination in TAXINN in SD Scenario? While maintaining condition record ( JEXP) for Excise access sequence JEXC doesnu2019t has Tax Code field Whereas for Sale Tax determination ( JCST/JLST) access sequence JLST /CST which has Tax code field . (In TAXINN we create Dummy tax code (blank))
is it true whatever I have written ? If yes then what is use of tax code where it triggers in FI Posting? Why we use only for Sale Tax not for Excise duty?
If u go to SAP Std condition type & access sequence provide for CIN in SD (TAXINN) While maintaining condition record ( JEXP) for Excise. Access sequence JEXC doesnu2019t has Tax Code field . do u think we should modify that create field for Tax code ..... Pl check in system & answer the question .......I hope u understand what i want to ask.

    Hi,
As per my knowledge, Excise is not Tax its a Duty....
Excise gets added to your base price and the tax is calculated on the whole amount and not only the basic price.
Say if u r manufacturing a material and u r under excise regulations, then without paying excise duty you can't move the goods out of your premises, Here even before you sell the material to a customer the excise duty is paid from you. But when u will be selling the material to a customer, the customer is charged the excise duty which gets added to the net value and then the sales tax is calculated.
If u see a sale order condition tab page, there are two fields
    1. Net Value      2. Tax
Net value is the value which includes the excise duty and the tax is only the CST/LST/VAT.

  • FI-AP Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT

Sub: A/P Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT
    Hi Frnds.
    I have a typical problem.
Till now we are using a "W6" as a tax code, where Excise-10%, Ed Cess-2%, SEd Cess-1% and VAT-4%.
But as the Govt. rules changed I have created a new tax code "W8" by copying the W6 and modified the VAT to 5% by changing the condition record JVRD.
The new tax code is not calculating VAT part correctly. It is taxing into consideration Invoice Base value, Ed Cess & SEd Cess (Omiting the Excise Duty).
I have checked my Tax Procedure, there everything is fine. Even my old tax code "W6" is working correctly.
Let me know where the error lies.
    Here is the scenario
    00. Tax code                       -   W6   -   W8   - Current Staus of W8
    01. Invoice Base               - 355181 - 351798 - 353324 (by SAP Document Simulation View)
    02. Excise @ 10% on 01.        -  35518 -  35180 -  35332
    03. Ed Cess @ 2% on 01.        -    710 -    704 -    707
    04. SEd Cess @ 1% on 01.       -    355 -    352 -    353
    05. VAT @ 4% on (010203+04)  -  15671 -   0     -  0
    05.    VAT @ 5% on (010203+04)  -    0    -  19401 -  0
    05.     VAT @ 5% on (010304)     -   0     -    0    -  17719
    INVOICE TOTAL VALUE            - 407435 - 407435 - 407435
Pls. let me know how to come over the issue.
By the way I am using the above tax code at FB60 transaction code.

    Hi Vivek
Acutually we planned to implement SAP - FI & MM Modules only, and all the configuration is done in the system, but at the final stage our management is not satisfied with MM area, so finally we have gone live with only FI Moudle.
By the way thankyou for the reply. I have maintained 100% in JMX1 for the new tax code and it is working fine.
I will give you full points.
    Once again thanks a lot.

  • Customer Master Report needed for jurisdiction, tax code, and district

I am trying to pull a customer master report and need to include the following fields:
    Name (NAME1)
    Account (KUNNR)
    Jurisdiction ( TAXJURCODE)
    Tax Code (TAXKD)
District, which is County for US addresses (CITY2)
I haven't seen a report with CITY2 and have tried S_ALR_87012180 or opening KNA1, KNVI, etc.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

No there is not such report or transaction.
You may look at tables KNA1 + ADRC.
In table KNA1 there are fields ORT01, ORT02, COUNC and CITYC that could help
Otherwise you must link KNA1 and ADRC with field KNA1-ADRNR = ADRC-ADDRNUMBER
    Sorry

  • Allow posting customer downpayment without tax code

    Dear colleagues,
I have an scenario where customer downpayments can be tax relevant and non tax relevant. I have costumized the G/L account with "*" as a tax category and the tick "posting without tax allowed". Nevertheless when i execute the transaction F-29 the system always requires me a tax code to post the downpayment. I am using the classical "a" as special GL indicator. Does Anybody know how can i make the tax code field entry optional when i am posting a downpayment? I know how i can make dissapear the field  (just leaving the tax category as "blank") but i want the field as an optional field, nor supressed neither required.
    Thanks in advance
    Marc

I had already done it and it did not work either. It seems like downpayments could not be optional taxed, if you leave the tax category of the reconciliation account in blank when you post a downpayment the tax fields dissapear whereas if you inform it, the tax code field in F-29 turns to be a required field. It is a pitty! I dont know if somebodoy can put some light on it or confirm my afirmation.
    Kind regards
    Marc

    Hi,
I want to know as for any excise vendor we hace one Tax code YF which is maintain in FTXP transaction in FTXP as per selected Tax type that all taxes are coming in PO  like if we select tax code YF in PO then in Taxes automatically 3 taxes JM01,  WITH 8%   JEC1,  with 2 %  and JA1S with 1% are coming in the PO  i want to know where those tax type are define JM01,  JEC1  and JA1S   i have checked in M/06  but those tax type are not there in the condition
my actual requirement is that  for  import PO as we are adding three condtion in the condtion JCV1  , JECV,   J1CV  , those conditions are defien in M/06  i want to make a seperate Tax code with 0% for import but when we select the tax code for import those three condition should come in the condition or taxes as per there %  when I am trying to create a tax code  those 3 condin i am not getting in FTXP tax type.
    regards,
    zafar

    Hi
Import tax calculation  happens in MM pricing procedure (M/08 ) and not FI pricing procedure( OBQ3) .Maintain the Import duty percentages in MEK1 and not in FV11 or FTXP

  • Tax code is not valid in customer master data - creating customer

    Dear Sirs,
Could you please help me with this problem. When I try to create a customer - acc.group "Payer" (standard from SAP) I don't have any problems. But when I try to do this with customized one, the system gives message "Tax code 1 is not valid". For condition MWST 1 is Full tax.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Dani

    Hi Jagsap,
We do all this things. In IMG-SD-BF-Taxes-Define Tax Determination Rules the sequence for Romania and condition type MWST is 1. The sequence for customers and materials for condition MWST 1 is Taxable Domestic. And that's why we can not find the reason for this message.
    Thanks,
    Dani
PS!!! Hi, I understand what is the reason. I find that in field "Tax code 1" I entered personal ID without check "natural person". Thank you
