CV01N - Attachment List and Originals

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know what's the difference, within the transactino CV01N/CV02N, between:
1) Create Attachment from the Generic Object Services Menu (icon in the upper left corner)
2) Originals Tab (where I can attach files to the document being created/modified)
In particular, I tried to attach a file through the Generic Object Services Menu and it appears in the attachment list for that specific object. However it doesn't show in the originals tab.

Hi,
basically the Attachment list in the generic object services (GOS) area and the originals area or tab in CV01N, CV02N, CV03N is not related. These are two separate functional areas.
GOS Attachment list:
This attachment list can be found for nearly all object (document info record, material master,euqipments,...) and allows you to add specific files to the object and store them by archivelink technique.
Original tab in DMS:
This area is something DMS specific and allows you to store original files to the document info records. This original files are normally stored in a content server and from DMS point of view you will have more functionalities as when you add the files to the attachment list.     Hi All,
    The Create ,Attachment List option in generic object services (GOS)
    doesn't work sometimes in Purchase requisition(ME52N and ME53N) , Sales Order , Notification etc.
    The (Services for Object ) Button is always Visible however the Create
    Attachment , Attachment List and other options will not be Visible to the
    users.This happens sometimes with all the users, however after a while
    all the options will be available.
    We are facing this issue since last 3-4 weeks.

  • Unable to open large PDF file from the Attachment list.

    Hi Gurus,
    Users had attached 10 PDF file in the work order attachment list and his supervisor is trying to open the PDF file from the work order attachment list and he is able to open 9 PDF files without any issue, but 1 PDF file is giving the error message as "Database error for <GET DATA FROM KPRO>" and then select ok, we are getting the below message.
    Window cannot find u201CC/Documents and Settings/b2m/SaoworkDir/5015851 Vendor data sheets B&P 2010 SDown XXX .PDFu2019. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click serch.
    Looks like this particular file is not transferring to the SAP work directory.
    Could you please check and suggest us as to how to fix it.

    We verified  your OSS notes it's not relevant to us Because our issue is while opening the PDF aatchement it is not transferring to my SAP Work Directory because of that reason we are getting the KPRO error. When I'm opening the other PDF files it's transferring to my SAP Work Directory and it's automatically open without any issue.

  • Attachment list in Services for Object toolbar

    Does anybody know if there is any user exit or BADI that I can use to filter certain file attachments in Attachment list of Services for Object toolbar.
    For example, in transaction XK03 (Vendor display), Services for Object toolbar, you can see the Attachment list and it will display list of pc file attachments, however, we have a requirement to display only those that met certain criteria, is there any BADI or user exit for this?

  • Services for Objects Attachement List Display Note not Viewable

    Hi Experts!
    Good day! I'm trying to display a note in FK03 (related to Services for Objects - Attachment List) and I only see white screen pop up window. No message and text information. When I tried to use another PC I can successfully view it.
    Is there's a plugin that I may need to install?

    It is my understanding that the IXOS licensing is based on users retrieving of documents not necessarily the viewer so the licensing implications of having non-IXOS viewers accessing documents using the generic archivelink viewer is still likely to result in licensing implications if an audit is conducted at any stage.
    The transaction for specifying the viewer is the OAA3 and OAG4.

  • Missing "creator name" and "created time" on attachment list in ordrer

    When printing an order (in VA01, 02, 03) with storage mode: archive only, and then display the document in "Displ.Originals", the creator and creation time are blank (in Attachment list pop-up).
    How to complete these fields?

    Here is a step-by-step of what I did (using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1):
    Open PDF document in Acrobat
    Select Forms -> Add or Edit Fields
    Add two text fields: one called "Today" for the date and one called "Printer" for the printer name
    Close the form editing
    Select Advanced -> Document Processing -> Set Document Actions...
    Then select Document Will Print and Edit
    Paste the following code:
    var f = this.getField("Today"); f.value = util.printd("dd mmm yyyy - HH:MM", new Date());
    var pp = this.getPrintParams();
    this.getField("Printer").value = pp.printerName;
    Save your PDF
    Enjoy!
    The date and printer name field will be automatically updated when you print the document!

  • How can you create a new category list and attach it to a new incident template

    We intend to create helpdesks for various teams e.g. Facilities, IT, HR etc and allow staff to email separate email addresses via the exchange connector.  So incidents get assigned to separate queues categorised via the support group set in the
    assigned template used by the connector.  I want separate category lists for each template so IT staff don't see Facilities categories etc. This all works apart from having separate Incident classification lists attached to the appropriate template.

    So I suppose I have to do something similar to the blog post below.  I assume that if I create a new 'facilities incident' class I can create a distinct category list and attach that to a template without showing the default category list?

    A user attaches doucments  ( using the Generic Object Services to attach document ) while creating/changing Purchase Requisition (ME51N / ME52N).
    Now when any user goes to see the docuemnts attached to the PR, he selects the 'Attachement List' from the context menu, he should only be able to read it and should not be allowed to change or delete the document. For this we need to disable the 'change' and 'delete' buttons from the toolbar.

    Probably you have uncommented the call to super class when you reimplement the method on child class (z class)
    I just implement the same thing now and it worked for me. Take a look:
    1 - Modify the SGOSATTR table by SM30, just write a Z class (in my case CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_CREATE) .
    2 - Create/inheridt a subclass (not a copy) in SE24 of the standard class.
    3 - Implement the method CHECK_STATUS in the z class. Note that the call to method on super class came commented. You only uncomment if you want to also execute a standard code in the super class.
    Here is my code:
    method CHECK_STATUS.
    NOTE - In my real implementation I have uncommented the code below because I want do standard code be executed before my own check.

    I have solved the issue Alhamdulillah by the foll. method:
    1. Copied CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST to ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST
    2. In ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST there is a method called: CHECK_STATUS. I overwrote with my check;
    on_mode_changed( 'D' ). --- For display
    on_mode_changed( 'E' ). --- For edit mode.
    3. In SGOS tcode, added VIEW_ATTA to point to ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST

    I want to make a new plug-in that use a new frame.
    The new frame is looking like Comment List and Attachment.
    I want to show my original list and input form to the frame.
    It is close to Comment List frame, but I want to show original list.
    Additionally, I want to add new button upper of Comments Button on Navigation Button Panel.
    Can I have any help?

    There is no support in the SDK for adding your own panels.
    There is no support for modifying the existing panels.

    I got a requirement like Purchase orders are from moved from one system to another system.There was a bug in BDC program
    so some Attachment list of the purchase orders are not moved properly to the another system.
                                                   Now my client want a report to generate the Purchase orders which is having attachment list.
    I did not find any table link between Purcahase order and Attachment list.
                                                  So Plz provide me the link between purchase order and attachment list.

    if yes then u have to create one custom report for Generic Object Services   ( like notes , attachment  , url )

    If your are having a UI like ME52N and you want an attachment feature in each row, I have below suggestions:
    Suggestion 1: If you use ALV
    Add a column in list of type Xstring or which ever suits your document specificatio
    Add a Button on the ALV for attachment,
    On click of the button you can Popup a browse window and user can select the file.
    The content of the file can be stored as Xstring for that Line item.
    Suggestion 2: IF you use Table UI element
    Add an attreibute to context node of type Xstring
    In the Table set, you can set FIleUpload as the editor for this column.

    I am working IS-U. In transaction EC20 when we see any print document, there is an icon for attachment at top. According to my customeru2019s requirement, user should only be able to attach the file, the options for Delete and change should be disabled.
    When I do this through transaction SGOS and change the status as inactive of the service u2018VIEW_ATTAu2019, itu2019s deactivate the attachment list as whole .In this case user is not able to see the attachment also.
    Any suggestion regarding this would be appreciated .

    Create one pf-status with some buttons
    if user presses the button the alv output table should be saved and same table can be used to insert /modify /delete the dbtable.

    what is the claim creation transaction in that 01 is for creation 02 is for edit and 03 for display so with the help of basis consultant you can assigned transaction in user's assigned role accordingly.
    But user who is authorize for create claim can not modified or edit once he save the job. this would be limitation.

    Go to FBL5N - Select the customer account, company code and  Execute - customer line item display -> select any document no and press the man standing in the tool bar -> display customer general data -> below left near display customer general data there are two drop down list select the second dropdown and select the attachment
    list you can see all the email attachement belong to that customer
    I want to know which table all these attachment list are? and how can I link the customer with these attachment list.
