CVP DTMF recognition for alphabets

hi all,
I need to recognize alphabets via DTMF. For examples users need to AFXPK, ACKPN etc. when then reach the IVR to provide certain codes.
These codes are then used to pick up information from database and proved the CTI data for agents.
Can any one share ideas on how it may be achieved.
We use CVP/VXML on UCCE 9.x.. ASR is not an option now.

Thanks David, thats what i thought I didnt think it came preloaded with software on the cvp to roll out voice recognition without the use of an asr.

I want to check for alphabet (a-z,A-Z), in String object. I need to check the object, whether its contain numerals or special character, in that case, I want to throw an error stating that "value is not valid". It should accept only the a-z or A-Z.

As Rene suggested, you can do this using the Pattern class:

You can do it also by looping through your String and check with String's charAt(index) method (which returns a char) to see if every char from the String is >= A AND <= z.

Speech recognition for Safari in iPhone?

Is there an app (free preferably) for Speech recognition for Safari in iPhone/iPad etc?
This should include scrolling up and down, and moving back and forward pages.
Other control would be nice, but not mandatory.

Siri will likely never be available, but there are third party apps you can use. Dragon Dictation isn't too bad, although you do have to be online for it to work.

Speech recognition for 5800 XM

Is anyone aware of an application that would allow speech recognition for mobile in a similar way to Dragon type software for PCs. I'm looking to create texts/documents/notes/emails by voice rather than touch.

I have done a little bit of research since posting this.
Nuance (owns Dragon software) has been purchasing IT/development applications that will permit this.......in the future...sigh.... I reckon it is about 12 months away.
In the interim, phone developers can work with Nuance to include it in future models, but it is not yet accessible as an add-on.... at least as far as I can tell.

CVP Opsconsole: Patterns for RNA timeout on outbound SIP calls - Dialed Number (DN) text box does not take any input

Hi there,
I'm having problems modifying the 'Dialed Number (DN)' text box under 'Advanced Configuration->Patterns for RNA timeout on outbound SIP calls' of the SIP tab in the Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal 8.5(1) opsconsole. In a nut shell, I need to change the RNA timeout but some reason when typing into the Dialed Number text box, the input is not taken. The reason I want to change this settings is because my ICM Rona is not working with CVP:

Hello Dale,
CVP doesn't allow you to exceed the RNA more than 60 Seconds. If you want to configure the timer for DN Patterns you should do it via OPS console, It would update the sip.properties files in correct way, the above way is incorrect.

Lumia 710, how to use dtmf tones for interrogating...

I'm pretty happy with my 710 -- but then I always trail the curve somewhat!
Just one problem -- I'm trying to use it with sending DTMF tones, specifically to interrogate my answering machine remotely. The answering machine is fine and works with other phones, just not my 710. I've read the manual, and can't find any sort of setting.
Any ideas?

You cannot use Nokia Suite with the 920. You can either use the Windows Phone app for Windows 8, or for Windows 7, depending on which system you have. There is also a Windows Phone app for Mac OS X users. You can also copy music and videos over to the 920 through File Explorer within Windows.

No face recognition for iPhone 4 in IOS 5.1

I updated my iPhone and i noticed that i did not have face recognition while my collegues with the 4s did is it exclusive?

The odd thing in that the table of iOS5 features (where you can compare which ones are available for which phones) does not mention face recognition at all.
But as previously said it does look as though its not available for anything less than a 4s at the moment. :/

Facial recognition for a new app

I am working on an idea for a new app for the iPhone. I was wondering if Apple or anyone else has used a type of facial recognition within their app. I have this idea about taking a photo of something and having the image try to match a database of other images.

Revenue Recognition for existing orders

Hi friends,
I have a requiremnt to Migrate the old and valid contracts which has not been activated Revenue recognition has to be activated with revenue rcognition.The total number of contracts/orders would be 5 lakh recordes.For the same orders part of the billing plans are billed.
Hence forth which all are going to be billed should pick the revenue recognition.
The above changes should be updated in Production environment
Can any body suggest the process to update the existing documents.

CVP Studio apps for CCB - passing data between apps

Hello,
we currently have UCCE 9.0(4) with CVP 9.0(4) and have Courtesy Callback working with the out-of-the box ICM script and CVP studio apps.
In the ICM script when we it passed the qname to the CallbackEntry app, I have added another field called comp for company name to be used within that app. That seems to work great so that I can choose a different SetQueueDefault node depending on which company I am using for CCB (each company needs to use a different Calling Line ID value as well as a different Maximum Estimated Wait Time),
The problem I am experiencing now is that I am trying to use this same comp field within the CallbackWait app so that I can play a different announcement to the caller depending on which company is being used (ex. This is a callback for Company A for..., or This is a callback for Company B for....). It always hits the Return Exit State of that decision node since it doesn't have that comp value available.
Does anyone know how I can pass that comp value from the CallbackEntry CVP Studio app to the other apps so that they can all access it and make decisions from it?
I'm still new to CVP and CCB so I'm not familiar with what I can do with it yet.
Is there any documentation available for CVP Studio Apps that would explain how this can be done?
I would appreciate any help with this.

You may want to consider a single sign-on (SSO) solution. Consult the documentation for your application server to see what SSO solutions they support.

Revenue recognition for Fixed price project

Dear Friends,
We are facing an issue with revenue recognition. This is with regard to fixed price project(Item catagory: FPR) wherein process follows with Sales order-->Delivery-->PGI--->Revenue recognition(VF44). Revenue recognition is carried out with reference to the delivery document.
After completing revenue recognition w.r.t the delivery document, still document is appearing in VF44 for revenue recognition. My understanding is it is not supposed to be appeared in VF44. One more thing is in VF44 "Follow On" document is appearing as Sales order number.
please suggest how to fix this issue.

Speech recognition for a programmer with RSI (not how to do in Java)

Guys, someone that I know has developed RSI and has almost had to drop out of programming.
Has any other programmer here been faced with this and been able to work around it? In particular, have you found a decent speech recognition system that allowed you to continue to work?
Note that I am not interested in learning how to implement speech recognition in a Java program, which is what [most of the posts here|http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5310499&tstart=0] are concerned with.
I am aware of Dragon Naturally Speaking, but there are some terrible reviews of it which have made me nervous. But if any of you give a glowing review, I will reconsider.
Since this is a java forum, and one of the best academic research projects in this field is [Sphinx-4|http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/sphinx4/] which is based on Java, does anyone know of an end user application comparable to Dragon Naturally Speaking which uses Sphinx-4?

Revenue recognition for a customer

If a customer is located in India and company i.e company code is also in India .However if customer also wants the goods to be deilvered in singapore and if company has branch in singapore too,please let me know as per accounting rules where should the company be recognising the revenue in singapore or India.

It depends on whether the Singapore is a separate company code or not. In most cases, any overseas branch will be created as a separate company code to fulfill the local reporting needs. Therefore it becomes a separate legal entity.
If you are selling the goods from India company directly to the customer without involving the Singapore company, then the revenue will be recognised in India company only. Singapore will have no part to play in that.
However, if you are transferring the goods to Singapore branch and that in turn makes an invoice for the Customer, then Singapore will recognise the sale (revenue) from the Customer and India company will recognise the sale (revenue) from the Singapore company (Here Inter-company sale-purchase transaction will happen, Singapore will recognise the purchase from India company because both are two independant legal entities).
