CVS pserver connection faild

Hi
I created connection (JDEV 10.1.2) with PSERVER protocol to W2K CVS server and put passwd file with username:password lines. Everthing is OK when I omit password from passwd file , but when I enter password I can't connect (Login to password server failed: could not authenticate user). What's going on?

Hi Erick,
have you checked if there are any related error messages in the Windows Event Log at the same time when this error occurs?

Usually it contains some errors that show in more detail what the problem is.

CVS pserver on a different port (other than 2401)

I need to connect to a CVS server that is using port 2402, instead of the default 2401.
JDeveloper's CVS plugin does not seem to support changing this port number and uses the default 2401.
Does anyone knows a way to by-pass/reconfigure this behaviour ?

I am using jDev 9.0.3.1035

I had problem using CVS_PORT mostly during logging.
I did not try CVS_CLIENT_PORT, maybe this one works
On the other hand, putting the port in the CVSROOT (pserver:brian@somehost:2402:/usr/local/cvsroot) does not work: cvs thinks the repository is 2402:/usr/local/cvsroot. ;(
But my problem got solved. The reason we wanted to use 2402 was that IBM had the intelligence of allocating the CVS reserved port (2401) to writesrv in AIX ! (I LOVE AIX!)
We decided to move this writesrv, since we were not using it. CVS got back to its reserved port and everything is working.
I still have a small comments on the CVS addin: it is really missing some relevent overlays. We always see the same * when we would like to see some red for the modified one, etc... I hope it will be solved in the next version.

New CVS connection option grayed out

Fresh install of Jdev 10.1.2 (Windows). CVS server running with pserver connection. CVS set as source control in jDev (Extensions -> General -> Versin Control).
On Connection tab, if I Rt. Click on CVS Server, I can see the "New CVS connection" opion, but it's grayed out.
Any ideas?

My guess is that you don't have a cvs client in your path. So if you typed cvs on the command line it would return the 'not recognized...' message. JDeveloper didn't get a built in cvs client until 10.1.3.
If you make sure that cvs, preferably a CVSNT version, is in the path then the option will become enabled.

Here's how I fixed this freakin' problem. Wasted half of my day!!!! javacvs seems buggy and there's minimal support for it. There were a few different people asking this question, but no one had answered it properly.

The difference is I'm passing a CVSRoot object to PServerConnection. "Manually" setting the connection parameters makes javacvs crap out. I have no idea why. I suspect a bug.

My Time Capsule hard drive shows up in Finder, but I can't access the disk. I get a connection failed message.

I can not access my Time Capsule from the Finder. This was working, but on 12/25/2011, the disk can no longer be accessed. It shows up in the Finder, but when I try to connect, I get a "Connection Failed" message. If I cycle the power, it works for a little while and then fails again.

Following are the steps needed in NWDS
1)Window->Preferences->Team->CVS->Ext Connection Method.
Specify your connection method.
Open Perspective ->CVS Repository Exploring
Right Click->New->Repository Location->
Provide the details of your host server, Repository path...
Once connected check out the project.

Working with CVS and Java Studio Creator 2

Hello,
I'm a new user of java studio creator and I would like to make a project using ths CVS.
First, I've installed a CVS server on a computer.
Then I've created a new project (an example included with JSC)
Then I've customized the version manager in JSC 2 to connect to the remote CVS server.
No problem, if I try to connect to CVS in the version manager, it work ("You are connected").
On the other hand, when I want to check out my project on the CVS (the first check out), I've got this error :
cvs server: connect to 82.252.252.173(82.252.252.173):2402 failed: Une tentative de connexion a �chou� car le parti connect� n'a pas r�pondu convenablement au-del� d'une certaine dur�e ou une connexion �tablie a �chou� car l'h�te de connexion n'a pas r�pondu.

Hello,
You can see checked out files when you use the Versioning Manager. Just expand the tree to see individual files and folders. It's always a good idea to do an update before you start editing a file in Studio Creator. The Merge Conflict Resolver is a a very useful tool when more than one developer is working on a file.
You can find a lot more about version control in the IDE's help files.
And by the way, your English is fine.

Time capsule shows up in finder but I can't connect !!!

My time capsule shows up in finder under shared devices but when I click on it and it tries to connect it says 'connection failed' ( when out of home ) this is annoying as I would like to access the external hard drive that I have connected to it. I am having no problems at home with my LAN.

Oracle SQL Developer에서 CVS사용자를 한글로 하였을 경우 접속오류

Oracle SQL Developer Version 1.5.1
사용환경 : 클라이언트 Windows XP, CVS 서버 Windows2003
CVS 영문으로 등록된 사용자를 설정하면 정상적으로 작동이 되지만
한글 사용자를 등록하는 경우 Test Connection에서
암호가 맞으면 상태창에 다음과 같은 내용이 나오고
Testing connection...
Connection test failed: could not authenticate user.
Connection test failed: unable to connect.
암호가 틀리면 팝업에 다음과 같은 내용이 나옵니다.
CVS Access Error
Could not log in to CVS password server:authentication failure.
authorization failed: server 192.168.0.25 rejected access to /cvs for user 홍길동
그리고 연결정보를 강제로 등록하여도 이 후 어떤 작업(CheckOut, Open Module등)도 수행할 수 없습니다.
이클립스나 cvs client프로그램에서는 이상없이 처리되는데 SQL Developer 프로그램 버그 아닌가요?

Je cale sur un problème avec le système de vision NI-CVS 1454.
J'ai installé la version Labview 8.2 RT dessus car je n'avais les licences que pour cette version.
Dans mon programme, la caméra doit réagir sur des signaux digitaux pour effectuer une analyse 1 ou une autre (analyse 2).
Comme il me fallait connecter des I/O j'ai utilisé les fonction de NI-Imaq I/O > Open I/O.
La caméra ne sait rien faire avec cela car je dois installer des softwares sur le système.
J'ai donc été via Ni-MAX installer le soft NI-RIO FCF et cela demande automatiquement pour installer NI-VISA et NI-VISA SERVER
Mais lorsque cela est fait j'ai un message à chaque démarrage du CVS :
"NI-VISA loads modules(Passports) ro access GPIB, Serial, VXI, etc.... At Least one passport on your system could not be loaded. You should run the Measurement & Automation Explorer"
Je ne fais que cela depuis 2 h mais je ne trouve pas le problème..
est-ce la compatibilité des versions? Dois-je travailler autrement pour les I/O surle CVS?

En effet je pense qu'une réinstallation du CVS (en safe mode) serait judicieuse.
En ce qui concerne la configuration logiciel, tout semble correct.Vous n'avez donc en effet pas besoin du lien que je vous ai envoyé dans mon précédent message. Toutefois une réparation comme suggérée ci-dessus pourrait-être utile.
Pour ce qui est du fonctionnement de IMAQ I/O, il vous permet d'accéder aux entrées/sorties via le FPGA. Cependant cela est transparent pour vous car un bitfile est généré à l'installation. Vous n'avez donc pas besoin de LabVIEW FPGA ni de programmer le FPGA. Plus de détails ci-dessous :

Why airport cant connect to certain wifi,

I have the strangest problem
i m quiet new to mac, but all this while, i can connect to this particular wifi with no issue, but now i cant connect to the wifi. i kept getting connection faild message, i have reinstall the OS (Leopard) i even tried with lion but it doesnt work

it seems because of invalid ports resulst in TCP connection faild.But abvously, these ports are not used in the applications, even some port is out of valid port range. Does anyone konws what the reason.
btw, there are two adaptors on our machine, one is for intranet, the other is for internet. And the lattter is configured with to IPs

Is there any info in the node manager log files?
You can try changing the health check timeout.
# Health Check Interval: Specify the interval (in seconds) between Node Manager health state queries to the Managed Server. Enter a value between 1 and 2147483647 seconds (default is 180 seconds).
# Health Check Timeout: Enter the number of seconds that Node Manager will await a response to a health state query. If the timeout is reached, Node Manager assumes the Managed Server is "failed", and kills the process. Enter a value between 1 and 2147483647 seconds (default is 60 seconds).

Thanks for your time Ken and I have uninstalled and reinstalled but its still the same. The only thing I can think of is I installed zone alarm and since then its not work.
