Cyber Bullying on Playstation Network - Support Hung Up On Me

I called the playstation network today in regards to harassment and cyber bullying that I am receiving online via the Playstation Network.  My online username is ElsePlace and Else is apparently very similar to Elsa (most recognizeably from Frozen).  I have had people repeatedly mock me using references from Frozen or make ****** or sexist slurs at me while playing the Elder Scrolls Online on the Playstation Network. I have invested hundreds of hours into my Elder Scrolls account and I have dozens of video games and movies purchaesd through my Playstation Network account.  I was told by Playstation Support that they could not change my name, when I asked to speak to a supervisor at PSN he barely paid attention to me and you could tell he was typing something else in the background.  When I called him on it, he refused to give me his name and just hung up on me. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received.  I've never been hung up on by a Supervisor before.  I'm normally such a big Sony fan, from our 4K TV to our Playstation but man, I'm feeling very burned by the lack of compassion and unwillingness to support me to prevent this continued harassment.

  • Airport Express and UPnP for Playstation 3 support

Hello there, does anyone know when UPNP is coming to the Airport Express? The lack of it seems to block quite a few
features with co-existence to the Playstation 3 / Playstation network functionality, and working around with UDP port mappings
and other ways like DMZ seems like such a hassle - apple are you bringing UPNP with the next firmware? please say yes!
    Thank you in advance
    c
ps: if anyone has old threads in discussions that may relate or help make this less painful..please post. thanks.

As you know this is a user-to-user based forum and, as such, none of us would have any idea on when Apple may (or may not) release an update to any of the AirPorts for UPnP functionality. At best, any input on this that is not coming directly from Apple would be pure hearsay.
If UPnP functionality is important to you, you may want to look into using another manufacturer's router that does support this.

  • ?Games for kids (8yr) on PlayStation Network?

This community thing is a pain in the ****** - is this really the only way to get a question answered?
We have a PS3 that we use mostly as a DVD player, sometimes for games. My son is 8 and getting to the point where he's more and more interested in video games. He just bought Minecraft from the PlayStation Network, and we were thinking about buying a PSN gift card for Christmas so he can get creative mode and some skins, etc. I was wondering if there's a easy way to also find out if/which games are appropriate for younger kids on PSN. There's no sort category for game age/rating. Also, can the PSN credit only be used for downloading games directly to the PS3, or could he use his credit to buy a hard-copy game?

  • Ad hoc network support pleeeeease!!!

Please add ad hoc network support for webOS 2.x and 3.x. It seems that every application that sync between my PC and Pre2  and TouchPad (except for Synergy) need a WiFi connection with the devices on the same network. This really doesn't work at work. If I could create an ad hoc network, I could sync anytime - not just at home.
Post relates to: Pre 2 p102una (Unlocked NA)

    +1
I also submitted feedback with HP/Palm to add this feature. I would be interested in knowing if this feature will be added via a patch. Ad hoc network connectivity is a big factor in why I purchased a Touchpad (I assumed this functionality would be present). Android tablets and the Ipad allow adhoc network connections. Has anyone heard HP/Palm's official stance on this feature?

  • Connection to Playstation Network Times Out

I have Westell G90-610015-20 DSL Modem. I have ASUS Wireless Router RT-N12 connected to it.
My PS3 is able to connect (wirelessly) to the wireless network. I can update the firmware, and it is able to download any update for any game. However everytime I tried to login into Playstation Network, it would time out. When I do Internet Connection Test in PS3, the results for "Obtain IP Address" and "Internet Connection" are Succeeded, but for "Playstation Network" failed.
I have read some postings regarding the same issue, but found no solution.
    Please advice.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Hacker Breaks Into Sony PlayStation Network

The Japanese electronics giant Sony has admitted millions of PlayStation network gamers may have had their personal details stolen.
A hacker broke into the PlayStation video game online network and stole names, addresses and possibly credit card data belonging to 77 million people.
It is believed to be one of the biggest-ever internet security breaches of its kind.
Sony learned of the breach on April 19 and immediately shut down the PlayStation network, but kept quiet about it for a whole week.
In a statement the company said an "illegal and unauthorised person" obtained people's names, addresses, email address, birthdates, usernames, passwords, logins, security questions and more.

  • What's the difference of Network engineer and Network support engineer?:)

Hello, i'm browsing job ads and some are offering network engineer job, and others Network support engineer... what's the difference between them? thanks..;)

As both John and devils advocate have said you really need to look at the job requirements.
Certainly here in the UK i have seen a lot of jobs advertised as network engineer jobs and then the actual requirements are some Cisco experience and some experience with Windows AD/Linux etc.
A lot depends on the size of the company advertising the job eg. in my last company we had network operations engineers, network implementation engineers and network architects but a lot of smaller companies roll all those functions into one title.
Also worth bearing in mind that a lot of the job specs are not necessarily written by network people so the requirements can be a bit random to say the least

  • Development use -- Enterprise Linux Network Support License

I would like to buy for development (Quantity One) -- Enterprise Linux Network Support License for use on multiple VMware machines or pcs. The intent is to use this single license only on one machine at a time. Will registering multiple times with ULN be a problem? Any advice is appreciated…
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can register multiple times with ULN using single license.
Before registering new machine, you should delete the machine registered.

Hi there I have an iPhone 4S on the 3 network that will allow me to tether my iPhone 4S to the ps3, my question is will I be able to access the playstation network on the playstation 3 to download games and content to my ps3 console

If you're getting normal network access through tethering, I'm not sure why this would not work.

  • PS3 / PlayStation Network set-up help needed

I am trying to get my PS3 to connect to the PlayStation Network.  When I try to connect to the PlayStation Network (using my PS3) system,  I get a message saying:  "The connection with the PlayStation Network timed out."
From there I go to, Network Settings, Internet Connection Test, then I get a message saying:  "The sign-in (e-mail address) or password is incorrect."
I'm not sure if I need to make any adjustments to my Network settings, through my (Actiontec MI424-WR Rev. E) FIOS router?  Any feedback which would lead to a solution where this problem is fixed would be appreciated, Thank You!

I just set up my PS3, so here is what you need to do.
You will need the following information from your Verizon router:
SSID (the name of your FiOS router)
    WEP 64 Bit password.
You can find these things by going to the following URL: http://192.168.1.1 . You will need to know the log-in to your router to see the info. Your log-in to the router will usually be "admin". Your password will usually be either "password" or "password1".
From there you will be able to look up the above information and write them down. If you are connecting the PS3 to the internet via WiFi, please make sure that the WiFi is turned "on" on your router.
Then go to the settings on your PS3 and look for the internet set up. Input the info specific to your router and you should be ready to rock n' roll.

  • Xbox Live and Playstation Network keeps lagging/dr...

I am starting to get really annoyed now at the fact that since Sunday the 2nd of November I have had constant problems with my BT Infinity lagging and dropping connection with my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Their are other devices connected to my HH3 and they don't lose connection ever, they have just recently received slow speeds.
I have tried the usual restart the router etc many times and still nothing, I have an Open NAT on both consoles. So I know this is not the issue. I have read the forums a lot lately and noticed that other people in the North East of England are experiencing the same gaming problems as me.
All the service checkers state that everything is fine with my connection when it clearly isn't. I have spoke to someone at BT in the online support chat and they said they aren't trained to deal with this problem and are expecting me to pay on top of the £40 a month I am paying for the BT Infinity service I am not getting, in order for someone else at BT to have  a look at my problem.
I have seen somewhere on the forums that people have been told it is a Routing issue that will be fixed in 24 hours, the post was yesterday and still no fix as of yet.
Will someone at BT be able to tell me what the problem is exactly and when they are going to fix it?
