D30, 4223-62U, Win7x64, RAID10, No drives found

New D30, downloaded RAID drivers for Intel C600. Pressing F6 to install drivers during Windows Ult x64 install and driver "Intel C600 Series Chipset SATA Raid" installs but windows displays "No drives were found".
I've tried changing the BIOS to use SATA RAID and SATA AHCP but to no avail. Raid array is bootable. I'm stumped. I've used Lenovo's drivers and Intel drivers with no luck. I updated the BIOS, too. Any ideas what to try?
There are 4 500GB HDD I want to raid 1+0.
Thanks.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Where are your HDDs connected....SCU ports (blue) or AHCI ports (red/orange)?
I'm going to assume it's SCU.  If so, all RAID configs on SCU must be set up using the SCU oprom (accessed by hitting CTRL+I during POST when prompted).  Changing the "SATA mode" setting in BIOS setup will only affect the AHCI ports and will have zero effect on the SCU ports.
Once you set up the RAID in the oprom, then it's just a matter of providing the correct driver for windows during setup to get it to recognize the RAID array.

  • Compatible CPU's for d30 4223

    I've just ordered a d30 4223 xb1 from the outlet.  I currently have an s20, but wanted to upgrade to the d30 because I wanted the larger case with room for more hard drives.
    As with my s20, I bought it because it was cheap, and plan on swapping out the cpu and adding memory and a RAID controller to suit my needs.  I want to install the fastest single processor I can afford.  Is this unit compatible with the e5-1600 series or do I need to upgrade to a 2600 series?  I prefer a faster clock speed over processor cores for my applications.
    Also, will I need to upgrade the CPU fan if I go to a higher wattage cpu as I did on the s20?  Current processor is e5-2609.
    Thank you for any advice you can provide,

    It is possible to run E5-16XX (v1 Sandy Bridge) CPUs in your 4223 D30.  Just keep in mind that because there is no 2nd QPI link in those processors, the 2nd CPU socket and it's memory slots will essentially be dead.
    Your current fansink should work just fine on any of the E5-16XX CPUs as long as you stay at 135W TDP or below.  Moving to 150W TDP CPUs would require different fansinks.  As far as I know, all of the E5-16XX CPUs are 135W or below, so you should be OK.

    When you use DB2 SQL flavor, the ADF BC use the oracle.jbo.server.DB2SQLBuilderImpl class as an SQLBuilder. This class determines the JDBC driver class name as follows:
    1) If the JBO configuration parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass in not empty, then the JDBC driver class name is taken from there;
    2) If the jbo.sql92JdbcDriverClass parameter is empty, then:
    <ul><li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:db2://", then com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
    <li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:oracle:db2", then com.oracle.ias.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    <li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:datadirect:db2", then com.ddtek.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    <li>Otherwise, COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver</ul>
    (Have a look at the source of the method DB2SQLBuilderImpl.getJDBCDriverClassName(String url) for more details).
    It is seen from the log in your first post that the parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass is empty. As far as your JDBC URL starts with neither of the prefixes specified above (e.g. your URL starts with "jdbc:as400://"), then you should specify the necessary JDBC driver class in the JBO configuration parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass. (You can specify it in the AM configuration parameters or in adf-config.xml).

  • IMovieHD, "No disc burning drive found" and "The movie could not be sent.."

    First post in these subject forums. I am posting the same problem in iDVD and iMovieHD which were from iLife'05, but I won't post there.
    I loaded iLife'05 and also managed to get iDVD5 loaded although the packaging indicated that I needed to have a 733mhz G4 or faster processor and I have a Prismo Powerbook, 500 mhz and it was successful or maybe not.
    Then I opened iDVD, I got this Error message..."The application iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found"...which makes sense as I have an external Lacie (CD-R,-RW, DVD-R,-RAM,-RW,R,+RW,R DL) burner that I bought about a year ago that my wife also uses on her G4 tower.......... and I did not have it connected. So I connected it and when I opened iDVD again and it still reads: "The application iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found." Shut down and reboot, no difference.
    This probably does not have any bearing on the issue but in the System Profiler for "Disk Burning" there is a parameter "Burn Support" which is "Yes (Unsupported)", should this be "Yes (supported)"?
    Question #1: Does iDVD5 only work with an Apple "superdrive" or does it work with other third party "DVD burners" ?
    So I used iMovieHD from iLife'05 to create a project of an old family vacation (from an old 8mm Sony Handycam) and wanted to create a DVD, for archive reasons and to view on TV with a DVD player, but I could not do anything because of different errors now in iMovieHD.
    File > Share...(a window opens and I choose iDVD and then click the "share" button) and this error comes up:
    The movie could not be sent to iDVD, because of an unknown error.
    "Please make sure that iDVD is properly installed, that your project disk has write permission, and that you have enough disk space. (Error 0)"
    Next I tried: File > Burn Project to Disc......and this error comes up.
    No Disc Burning Drive Found
    "If you have an apple-supported disc burner, please check your connections and try again."
    The project file is 5.89GB and I have 57.97GB free on the hard drive so I don't think that space on the hard drive is an issue.
    Question #2: Is the issue of not being able to create a DVD from iMovieHD related to the iDVD issue although the error messages in iMovieHD and iDVD are different?
    Question #3: How are Video DVD's from the Hollywood Studios able to make DVD's longer than 2 hours?
    Thanks all for your help in advance. John

    One more addition to this post, I opened DVD Player and got this error "There was an initialization error. A valid DVD drive could not be found (-70012)
    Maybe this will help give someone a clue.

  • No suitable driver found?

    Hey,
    I've been searching this forum for a problem like mine (and I've found a few that are "like" mine, but none that are exactly the same or that will solve my problem).
    First, any information that might be relevant (I really have no idea how much of this is relevant, I am brand new to this):
    I'm using Eclipse and Apache Tomcat 6.0.14.
    I'm trying to set up a JSP page that shows a query from an Access database. I'm working from an example, and I've followed the example to the letter, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
    I have set up a "System DSN" ODBC and linked it to the proper .mdb file (I don't know that I'm using the proper terminology, but what I'm talking about is going to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) > System DSN tab under Windows XP).
    This is what my context.xml (in my WebContent\META-INF directory) looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Context>
    <Resource name="jdbc-odbc/ExampleDB" auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource"
    driverClassName="sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver"
    url="jdbc:odbc:exampleDSN"
    removeAbandoned="true"
    removeAbandonedTimeout = "20"
    maxActive="8"    />
    </Context> "exampleDSN" is the name of the DSN I set up, and as I understand it, the value of the "name" attribute can be whatever I want, as long as it's referenced correctly in my JSP file.
    Here is the content of my JSP file:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/sql" prefix="sql" %>

    <body>
    <sql:query var="qry_LoanID">
    SELECT LoanID FROM Loan
    </sql:query>
    </body>
    </html>I understand that this won't actually display anything as I have it now, but I'm just trying to get this tiny JSP file to work correctly. That said, here is the error information I am given:

  • No Bootable Drive Found, I HAVE UNIQUE SITUATION

    Hello everyone, I would really appreciate some help!
    I have a MacBook Pro and I've been trying to download Window 7 on it. Basically, I finally got a bootable flashdrive with Windows 7 on it. I have two actually. One made by Bootcamp, (Someone on youtube showed that altering info.plist on Bootcamp makes Bootcamp format ISO on USB) and one made by a Microsoft program from a different computer WITH windows 7 on it. Now, after formatting however, and after the disk partitions itself, the computer restarts and it says No Bootable Drive Found, Insert Bootable Drive and press any key, or something like that. I RESTARTED WHILE PRESSING ALT-OPTION and the only two things coming up are the Mac OS X , and the recovery. Now, the person with the video has the same model computer as mine and it worked for him, SO PLEASE Don't comment by saying it's impossible. Does someone know the problem? I'm sure the USB is bootable.

    iTheoGamer wrote:
    I have the exact same problem!When i alt click there is only Recovery disk and Mac Os x.The system cant detect the usb or ?Please help us.
    How do you know you have the "exact same problem"? The original poster did not tell us his model and year Macbook Pro, neither did you. So you may or may not have the same problem. If your Macbook Pro came with an internal optical drive, you must use that to install Windows. Until you know for sure that you have the "exact same problem", start your own thread and provide more details.

  • Install windows 7 to s110, no CD/DVD driver found

    I just bought Lenovo Ideapad S110 netbook. It already has MeeGoo OS installed but I want to install Windows 7 32 bit. So I made a bootable usb using Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool and tried to install Windows 7 using my usb. However I have an error "No CD/DVD driver found" I have tried all three usb slots but there still is that problem. All three slots are USB 2.0. Can anyone please help me with it?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello and welcom,
    That error message can also mean that there is a problem with your original Win 7 ISO or the way the USB flash drive was prepared or the copy to USB.  Or perhaps a defective or incompatible USB flash drive. If it is a downloaded ISO, try the download again.
    The way I usually make bootable Win 7 installer is this:  use DISKPART to prep the drive - list, select, clean, partition, format NTFS, set active.  Use 7zip to copy  the contents of a downloaded ISO to the flash drive.  If you're using a DVD, just copy the contents.  In either case use an SP1 DVD.
    Maybe you've already tried this.

    Dears, I've been going crazy for 1 week, trying and trying everything to make a clean installation of Windows 8.1 64bit on an SSD I bought for my Flex 2 15. I've read thousands of pages of forums, changed 3 different SSDs, but nothing was successfull!(Crucial MX100, Crucial BX100, ADATA SP920SS) every time, during the W8.1 Setup Wizard, it displays "No hard drive found" when I have to choose in which drive to install the OS. My Lenovo Flex 2 15 came with Windows 8.1 pre-installed on a WD hard disk. Please help me.

    solved this issue just......changing the SSD I bought a Samsung 840 EVO and it works correctly. Tried Crucial M550 (listed as compatible on Crucial website), Crucial MX1100, ADATA, but nothing with Samsung no issues.

  • Error:No Suitable Driver found for sybase

    Jdev 11.1.1.4, ADF BC and ADF Faces
    Problem:
    Created ADF BC module using Sybase Database connection. While running the module its giving
    “No Suitable Driver found”.
    Process we have followed:
    1)     Created a Sybase Database connection in Resource palate. (jar added in classpath jconn2.jar & jTDS2.jar).
    Note: Sybase connection is successful :)
    2)     Use this connection in New ADFBC Appmodule.
    3)     In Implementation class we are trying to call a Sybase procedure.
    4)     Then Running the Appmodule using “Run” button.
    Approach we have tried after getting the error:
    1)     Copy jconn2.jar & jTDS2.jar in BC4j/jlib – It ‘s not working.
    Any suggestion will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
    ~Abhijit

    You have to configure the SQL flavor and Sybase JDBC driver class in the AM configuration properties:
    <tt>jbo.SQLBuilder=SQL92
    jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass=com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver</tt>
    (The JDBC driver class may be <tt>com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybDriver</tt> depending on your Sybase ASE version).
    You may have to set the AM's property <tt>jbo.sql92.LockTrailer</tt> as well.
    Alternatively, you may set the SQL flavor, JDBC driver class and the lock trailer in adf-config.xml. If you are setting these values in adf-config.xml, then you may have to choose "Custom" SQL flavor.

  • No Hard Drive Found

    My iMac decided to stop working after 2 years. I would only get a white screen when powering on. I tried reinstalling the install disk. When asked what drive to install on, no destination drive found. I installed a new hard drive as all indications pointed to a failed hard drive. Still no destination drive found. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be, or should I just throw this in the circular file.

    Sounds like you either have a bad SATA cable, maybe a bad SATA power cable to the HDD, or the logic board's SATA port has crapped out.
    The first option is pretty cheap. Just buy a long SATA cable with a right angle connector, and string the new one. If that doesn't fix the problem, the next possibility means replacing some of the PSU cables, maybe even the PSU itself. Not terribly expensive, but extremely annoying, and much harder to find those cables compared to a long SATA cable. If it's the final possibility, part the thing out on eBay or something.
    Also, it's LOW-PROFILE circular filing cabinet!

  • Database Error "no suitable driver found..." (WIS 10901)

    Hello,
    have a ZCM 11.2.1 with Primarys (SLES 11 SP1) and external MS-SQL-Database (Win Server 2008 R2).
    Month ago, we aditionally setup a Reportingserver in ZCM 11.1 and all worked fine. Made the "ZENworks11SP2_ReportingSP4 patch" and it was OK too. Now, after a few weeks, i wanted to make a report again and get this error when a report is in process:
    No suitable driver found for jdbc:sqlserver://zcmdb:1433;DatabaseName=zenworks. (WIS 10901).
    In the meanwhile (between last successfully generated report and now, we updated Servers to 11.2 and 11.2.1).
    What can i do to troubleshoot this?

  • Re: Tecra M2 - Vista cannot be installed - No drives found

    When I try to install Vista I get the message - "No drives found". What can I do?
    I am 68 and not very computer minded .
    The fitting of hard drive and memory were fairly easy HELP!!!!!!!!!

    Respect!!! You are 68 and you are still working with computers!!!
    I know many older people who dont know how a computer works and would give up
    Anyway. I will try to help you as good as I can
    According to the error message the Vista cannot see the HDD Am I right?
    Are you able to install the Windows XP OS using the Toshiba recovery CD???
    In such case we could check if the HDD is not faulty.
    Nevertheless you also try to access the BIOS and could check if the HDD was recognized and listed in BIOS.
    To access the BIOS you have to press the ESC while powering up the notebook.
