Daily calendar view in 4.0.1

Question

I've searched and read and for whatever reason I can't get a date with time to display in the correct location on a daily calendar view. So the (calendar) region source:
select start_time, description from attendance
and actual data:
SQL> select to_char(start_time, 'MM/DD/YY HH:MI PM'), description
2 from attendance;
TO_CHAR(START_TIM
DESCRIPTION
11/12/10 04:00 PM
Meeting with Steve
always shows at 12AM in the daily calendar view. Does this functionality work? If yes, could someone point me to an example or the correct way to get events in the correct time slot?
