DAQ Event messaging in C++
I am about to develop a data acquisition application using PCI-3071E
and Microsoft Visual C++. Are there any sample code demonstrating
adding message events to the Window messaging queue. Most of the code
examples that I have found on the Ni.com website show inline coding.
Thanks
John
Hello John,
if you want to use asynchrone events, you must use the function Config_DAQ_Event_Message. You can receive events on window port or callback function.
I send you a small programm that I have made to demonstrate a bug under NI-DAQ 6.9.1 with Config_DAQ_Event_Message (bug is with external scan clock and multiple of x scan events, normally you never see it) and can be use with every DAQ-STC card.
Search in the code the first Config_DAQ_Event_Message and the comment //not used handle. In your application, change it to your window handle (change WM_USER to what you want) and in your window messaging queue, add ON_MESSAGE(WM_USER, OnDAQEvent) with afx_msg LRESULT YourWindow:nDAQEvent(WPARAM w, LPARAM l).
See Config_DAQ_Event_Message for sig
nification of w, l parameters.
Hope this will help,
Grettings,
Alain

Can I Use DAQ Event Message 9 with My PCI-6033?
I would like to handle my counter board's interrupts by using DAQ event message 9. If Yes, I would to like to see an example in VB?
Counter events are not supported under NI-DAQ for E series devices. It is possible that what you are trying to accomplish could be done just as easily with a timed loop in DAQmx, what is your application?

Can I have a general daq event in visual basic while outputing in dma mode?
Hardware: PCI-6711
Software: Visual Basic 6.0
NI-DAQ 6.9.3f3
Windows 2000
I can't get the GeneralDAQEvent_Fire subroutine to happen. I'm trying to output two synchronized waveforms on two channels at sampling rates that can be changed on the fly. To do this, I've set the clock source of the channels to be the GPCTR1. I output on a pulse train on the GPCTR1 and adjust the pulse widths to vary the frequency. I need to be able to switch to the new pulse width at a precise time so that the correct samples are output at the correct samplerate. I want to generate a general daq event which fires whenever a certain number of pulses (and thus samples) on the GPCTR1 have been output. I will
then reset the event and output samplerate within the GeneralDAQEvent_Fire subroutine for the next section of samples. I need to output at up to 1 MSample/second, so I need to be using DMA mode. I have not read anywhere that DAQEvent 0 Aqcuired or Generated n Scans requires interrupt mode, am I wrong about this? I have set my Channel string to CTR1, does this reference the GPCTR1? I set the board, DAQTrigVal0 and enabled properties and then call the refresh method. Is there something else I should do?
I have been reading the NIDAQ Function Reference Help and the NIDAQ for PC Reference manual and have not found a solution. Any suggestions? Also, where can I find info on what the ConfigureDaqEvent method is supposed to do?Roz,
First of all, I think you will want to use DAQ Event 1 since you desire for a message to be sent after every N updates. This will be more efficient than removing the current message and adding a new message each time the event fires. Furthermore, DAQ Events 0-2 can all be used with DMA transfers. However, you will be unable to use a counter channel with DAQ Events 0-2. Instead you should use one of the analog output channel you are clocking with the counter's output.
Good luck with your application.

KIMYONG: Outbound Workflow Notification Event Message 를 tracking하는 방법
Purpose
Outbound Workflow Notification Event Message 가 발송됐으나 user가 받아보지 못한경우 가 발생했으나 user
이를 tracking하는 방법을 알아보고자 한다.
Solution
1. notification 이 발송될때 oracle.apps.wf.notification.send event발생한다
event key 로 Notification ID 를 사용한다.
2. 다음 조건에서만 The e-mail notification이 발송된다.
i) Notification status is OPEN or CANCELED
ii) Notification mail_status is MAIL or INVALID
SELECT status, mail_status
FROM wf_notifications
WHERE notification_id = '&nid';
iii) Recipient Role has a valid e-mail address and notification preference is in the format MAIL%
SELECT email_address,
nvl(WF_PREF.get_pref(name, 'MAILTYPE'),notification_preference)
FROM wf_roles
WHERE name = upper('&recipient_role');
iv) Workflow Deferred Agent Listener is running
v) Workflow Notification Mailer is running
3. e-mail로 발송되기전 message가 2번 정지한다.
Raised --> WF_DEFERRED Queue --> Processed by Deferred Agent Listener --> WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT Queue --> Processed by Notification Mailer and sent as e-mail
4. oracle.apps.wf.notification.send을 dispatch 할때 error가 발생하면
message 는WF_ERROR queue에 enqueue되고 .
Error Agent Listener 가 WF_XML.Error_Rule 을 수행하는 oracle.apps.wf.notification.send 의
ERROR subscription 을 dispatch합니다.
5. notification id 와 WF_DEFERRED and WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue 의 message stauts 등을 확인하기 위해 $FND_TOP/sql/wfmlrdbg.sql 를 수행합니다.
PROCESSED in WF_DEFERRED - The message is enqueued to WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT
PROCESSED in WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT - The message is sent as e-mail
READY in WF_DEFERRED - Check if Deferred Agent Listener is running
READY in WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT - Check if Notification Mailer is running
6. notification id 의 outbound XML message 를 분석합니다.
. The wfmlrdbg.sql output provides the XML message generated by WF_XML.Generate at the time the script is run. If the original XML message used by the mailer is required to be analyzed following SQL may be used.
SELECT tab.user_data.text_lob text_lob
FROM applsys.aq$wf_notification_out tab
WHERE dbms_lob.instr(tab.user_data.text_lob,'&1') > 0
7. 필요하다면 WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue 를 rebuild 합니다.
The wfntfqup.sql script rebuilds the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue by dropping and recreating
that queue, removing pending notification messages from the WF_DEFERRED queue, and
repopulating the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue from the Oracle Workflow Notification System
tables.
Wfntfqup.sql Version >=115.9
If you have implemented Oracle Alert and the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue contains any pending
alert e-mail messages, those messages must be processed before the queue can be rebuilt. The
wfntfqup.sql script checks the queue for any alert e-mail messages and, if it finds any, the
script returns an error message that specifies how many alert e-mail messages are pending
and indicates that these messages must be processed before the script can run.
Wfntfqup.sql Version <= 115.8
If you have implemented Oracle Alert and the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue contains any pending
alert e-mail messages, those messages must be processed before the queue can be rebuilt. The
wfntfqup.sql script checks the queue for any alert e-mail messages and, if it finds any,
exits without performing any changes.
Stop Notification Mailer, rebuild Mailer Queue using $FND_TOP/patch/115/sql/wfntfqup.sql.

Hello,
In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and protect users from unintentially damaging their Firefox, the option to disable JavaScript was removed from the Firefox Options window.
However, the option to disable JavaScript was not removed from Firefox entirely. You can still access it from about:config or by installing an add-on.
'''about:config'''
# In the address bar, type "about:config" (with no quotes), and press Enter.
# Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
# In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
# Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat these steps.
'''Add-ons'''
You can alternatively install an add-on that lets you disable JavaScript, such as
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/noscript/ No-Script] (to disable JavaScript on a per page basis, as required)
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/quickjava/ QuickJava] (to easily disable and enable JavaScript, automatic loading of images, and other content)
Thank you and I hope this helps! -
Web Dynpro - Event Message Profile
EM Gurus.
I have 40 Events (Internal Event Codes) defined in SPRO Web Interface | Define User Profiles | Event Message Profile | Event Reporting Items. These Events can be triggered from R/3 or Manually in EM.
When I use Web Interface /SAPTRX/EM_START. the 40 events are displayed horizontally across the 'Display Details' Screen.
The screen is very wide and requires a lot of left/right scrolling to see the information.
When I use the Web Interface Classic /SAPTRX/WCL_SEARCH, the 40 events are automatically sorted into columns and rows
and the horizontal scroll is disabled. This makes the scrolling more user friendly.
Is it possible to control the layout of the browser? I guess this could be done via abap or via browser settings? Maybe using a different browser (i.e. instead of MS Internet Explorer) will help?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Zenon Kowalewski.I guess this is not possible when using the supplied Web Dynpro.

Events + Message Data Templates
I have defined my own versions of the events TaskCreated and TaskComplete in which I specify the XSD Event Message Template so that I can pass "complex" information.
In my event thrower, I ...
* setup an event data map to pass my process instance id
* provide an xml variable as the event message data.
In my event receiver, I have my process data map set up with 3 values.
* assign the process instance id passed in the event data map to a local variable
* assign a particular string element in my event message data (xml) to a local variable.
These both work.
What doesn't work is assigning the entire event message data (xml) to a local process variable of type xml. My local xml process variable is always null.
I don't understand how I can map a single value from within the xml, but I cannot map the entire xml.
Any thoughts? And if you look at the provided event samples.
In the POCancel event, they specify an event message template which contains "Order" information, but they never use it in the samples. -
Hi everyone,
I´m lookin for a way to administrate the business events messages, if it is a way to administrate or monitoring it, please tell me how.
Any clue will be a great advance.Any pointers ?
Thanks,

Event message updates wrong event handler
EM Gurus.
I have a Strange problem that I'm trying to debug right now.
I'm sending an event message to inactivate an event handler. The event handler is not updated.
When I look in log SLG1 I see that a different event handler with a different event was updated!!
I repeat the same process 4 times and each time I look in SLG1 a different Event Handler and Event Message
can be seen.
On my 5th attempt my message posts correctly.
I'm guessing there must be some bad or old data that has the same guid and each time I send a message it clears
the bad/old data.
This probably helps explain a similar problem I have seen where the Expected Event Monitor did not update as expected.
Has anybody else seen this behaviour?
Cheers.
Zenon.Problem solved.
A locally developed Z program was not updating using the event handler tracking id correctly. -
When i was run my web application in everyday morning(after that issue was not reproduced), it was immediatly redirected to logout page
while i perform any task after login.Session_end function was called unfortunately.

Workflow and processing with event messages
Are there any examples available on using the event message datatype.
We are using Interconnect and Workflow 2.6. Interconnect passes data to workflow in the form of the event message. Are there any examples/samples available on how to extract individual data elements from the message, and being able to re-set the values. You might want to have a look at the Event System Demonstration process. A description is here:

How to reporcess event message for an event handler
Dear Experts
In one of our cases, we defined a task in the rule set to activate event handler when reason for rejection removed for a slaes order. We used the activity EH_ACTIVATE.
For some of the SO event handlers, this activity was not triggered (do not know why) and the EH is still in Inactive Status. There is an option to reporcess event messages but this is disabled in Production. May I know is there any program to activate the EH in this case?
Thanks
RaviRavi,
I would rather you see why the activity is not being triggered. Try reporting the events in simulation mode and check the results... If it subsequently posts then I would activate full App log logging in SAP EM and see what's going on. It's not good to be intermittently missing activities. You need to get to the bottom of it and use the correct methods in the rule set to achieve this.
Thanks

DAQ event and occurrence 1 on DAQCard 6024E
Dear friends,
I'm trying to use DAQ Event 1 to obtain 1000 samles for every occurring event continuously. An external scan clock 10KHz is used. The problem is I obtain 2000 samples some time. That means DAQ event is lost. I attach the LV code and need your help to sort it out.
Thank you in advance,
Cheers,
Charlie

MeasureEvent.llb 159 KBCharlie,
You are correct; the DAQ Event is being lost. The DAQ Events are continually being generated and the Wait on Occurrence is being polled inside the While loop. The case structure is always waiting for FALSE to come from the Wait on Cccurence, however, if the occurence occurs while the execution is inside the Case Structure with the AI Reads, the Wait on Occurence will not see the occurence and it will be lost.
To avoid this, you need to speed up the execution inside the case structure so it can read the data and get back to waiting for an occurence. I recommend that you remove the first AI Read that checks to see how many samples are in the backlog. Just use one AI read and always read a finite amount of data like 1280 samples. The number must be div
isible by 32 or you will leave scans in the backlog. This will ensure that you never miss an occurence and you will be sure of the amount of data you read each time. -
How to find EH GUID for unprocessed event message id?
Hello SCEM experts
I need to know how to fetch header GUID from unprocessed event gu id
In /SAPTRX/EVM_HDR table we have the event guid of unprocessed events under field EVT_GUID
I need to find the linkage of this unprocessed event with the main header guid ( like field ''EH_GUID" in table /SAPTRX/EH_HDR).
Issue: we need to write the report to process the thousand of unprocessed event messages in the /SAPTRX/EVM_STATUS
please let me know if anyone has worked on the same requirement like how we can reprocess unprocessed messages
ThanksHello Steffen
The example you have mentioned is not the case in my situation.
Here in system , I can see the unprocessed entries in table "/SAPTRX/EVM_UNPR". The same entries I can also see in table/SAPTRX/EVM_HDR but not in anyother SAP table.
I have checked the SAP NOTE# 656990 - Important background jobs for SAP
Event Management
There are 3 reports mentioned iN NOTE:
1) /SAPTRX/PROCESS_LOCKED_EHS
2) /SAPTRX/PROCESS_LOCKED_SETS
3) /SAPTRX/R_REPOST_AI_LOGS
After executing the above reports the problem has not solved yet.
As this is very common behaviour how we can reprocess these unprocessed events.
Many thanks
