Dark edges around my files in my Muse website

Hi
I`m trying out Muse and I love it! But it seems that I have a small problem. When importing files to Muse (PSD and PNG) i do get small dark edges in all of my files placed in my Muse website. I double and triple checked that the files do not have edges on it, just plain color.
Does anybody have the same problem as me when placing files in their Muse site?
I attached some pics here:
Looking forward for a solution with some help of you gus! 1000 Thanks!
Frank J.

I think, you can’t avoid these outlines when placing transparent PNG or PSD.
The edges of the image objects have to be antialiased to ensure a smooth outline without visible pixelation.
This works fine, if the background color of these objects is known. Antialiasing in this case provides smooth transitions between object and background color.
In your case, there is no background available when you export the images from Photoshop. The antialiasing routines don’t know to antialias against which color.
You can avoid this effect by
1. Using a "flat" image without transparency underlaying the color you need in Muse already in Photoshop
2. Using a vector format (SVG) instead

  • Mp3 or similar audio files on Adobe muse websites

I need to embed mp3 or similar audio files on several different Adobe muse websites, why has this simple task not been provided for? Is this going to be available? Otherwise I may as well dump Muse and use some other software that can actually achieve this basic necessity...

I believe www.musegrid.com has just offered a widget for audio playback.

  • How can I insert a swf interactive quiz file in a muse website page?

I have a number of swf quizzes published with Wondershare Quiz Creator and I need to place them on my Muse-created website. If I use the "Place" command from the file menu, I can place the swf file on my webpage. However, when I go to the page, the quiz stops loading at 90%. How can I put this file on my website so that students can take the quiz(zes)?
I can send a copy of  the swf file if that is necessary to show me how to place it on my website. Thanks in advance for any help, as I've already spent hours trying to find a solution to this problem.

  • Having trouble  uploading the oam file to my Muse website.

I keep getting error messages about uploading the Edge Animate files I made, such as:
    Error:
Error uploading file jquery-1.8.3.min.js. There was no response from the server. Check your network connection, and try again. If this problem persists, try again later.
    or:
Error uploading file arrowmenudown.gif. Click Resume to try again. If this problem persists, try again later.
I am not aware of any such file- arrowmenudown.gif. It is not in the Library. Where do I find it?
    Thanks

This jquery error might be due to permissions problem on uploading files to remote sites.
Can you upload your edge animate composition so that we can figure out   'arrowmenudown.gif'  error?

  • Dark bars around songs in Grid View with Dark Background

Hi, with the new update that added the option for the dark background in Grid View does anyone else notice dark bars around each song?

    sidssp:
If you were able to get this new option in preferences to show up by removing your com.apple.iTunes.plist from ~/Library/Preferences, and you still have a copy of that file (maybe in your Time Machine backup on on your desktop), please email it to me <[email protected]>. Please include a link to this thread in your email and make the subject line be "Preference not showing up in 9.0.2".
    Thanks,

  • How can multiple users from different locations access my Muse website files to update them?

We're a team, and we need to be able to work together remotely.
How can I let another user (on the East Coast - I'm on the West coast) have access to my Muse website files so that they can work on them and make changes - but I can also work on them here?
I've already made them an Admin in the Manage section of the live Muse website that is hosted on Business Catalyst.
BTW, they also belong to Creative Cloud.
    Thanks!

You need to share your .muse file with this other person.
Muse does not currently support multiple users opening the same .muse file at the same time.
There's lots of options for sharing a file - you could copy it up to a company network server, or email the file back and forth, or use a filesharing service like Dropbox, SendThisFile, Adobe SendNow, or Creative cloud sync, among others.
Which one is right for you depends on the size of your file, how often you're sending the file back and forth, and personal preferences
Whatever you choose, it's important that you DO NOT have 2 users working on the same .muse file at the same time. This can cause corruption of your .muse file. I'd also recommend frequent backups of your .muse file, as you might find that one of you clobbers a change made by the other and you want to be able to go back to your old copy of your .muse file to copy/paste some content to your latest copy of your .muse file.

  • Is it possible to keep an edge animation (OAM file) responsive in Muse CC ?

    Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to have these 4 images below responsive on Muse CC. (don't pay attention to the menu bar)
They are meant to be link images with a caption which appears on hover.
I know I'm not meant to be able to do responsive in muse but Edge animate is meant to work with Muse CC and Edge animate creates responsive animations if set for it.
I thought if I create responsive animations on Edge it would work in Muse CC but it doesn't seem to be responsive in Muse.
Is it because I missed something or there are no ways to make oam files responsive in Muse ?
The responsiveness works when I test it from edge to a web browser.
I'd be so grateful to get suggestions how to do this effect even without Muse knowing that I don't code much.
In advance thank you and I'm looking forward to see what I get from this request for help as it is the very first time that I participate to a forum.
    Leon
I'm desperately trying to find a way

Shadowfax is right. You can record it. I use Camtasia Studio Suite but there is also a cheaper software called FrontCam1.3. You can constrain your screenshots to the area of the Edge screen and record it.

I need to export a photo at around 1meg file size, and dont seem to be able to do it in the presets can anyone help please ,I shoot on a canon 5d

I believe Frank is referring to the end use (e.g., for print or on-screen use).
Until he returns, I can tell you that I ran a quick test using an image from the Aperture 3 training book library which was as follows:
Camera = Canon EOS 5D Mark II
    Master resolution = 5616 x 3744 (21 MP)
I was able to export to a JPEG with end file size of 1 MB as follows:
Export Presets drop-down > select 'Edit' option
Selected preset name 'JPEG - 50% of Original Size' > change percentage value to 40% > change DPI value to '300' > click OK to set as current default > Export version to desktop.
The exported JPEG has a resolution of 2246 x 1498 and appears on screen to have the same image quality of the original in Aperture.
Note - I did not change the default Image Quality slider in the Export Preset dialog (which left it at 10).
Basically, you will need to play around with the settings until you find the appropriate values to arrive at an image version you want.

  • How Can I save and upload a Muse website as .htm files?

I have recently updated my website www.silverdogmusic.co.uk with Adobe Muse. The problem I have is that all my lovely SEO that I have built up over the last five years is pointing at .htm and there is no way to save a .htm file extention with Muse, only an option to save as .html, so I am currently paying a coder to change this for me every time I upload a new page or link, which not only defies the object of using Muse in the first place but is also costly and time consuming. Dreamweaver has the option of saving as either, so why not Muse? An easy solution would help me so much!!

Easiest way  is to use '301 Redirects' ... lots of info on how to do that in Google.

  • How do i send an html file exported from muse as email blast with images and live links?

    My question it:
How do i send an html file exported from muse as email blast with images and live links?
I have designed a "website" in adobe muse and exported it as an html file. I am not sure how to send my .html file in an email!
    Best,
    Nicole

Unfortunately, the answer is, you don't. The requirements for HTML displayed in an e-mail reader are very different than those for HTML displayed in a browser. The output of Muse won't work as an HTML e-mail. You could upload the Muse site as a website and provide a link to it in an e-mail, but the HTML generated by Muse is not suitable for direct display by an e-mail program.

  • How to import modified files back into Muse

Maybe this is an easy sync issue....hopefully.
I've exported my html files from Muse (after publishing to Biz Catalyst) and want to modify the html, such as ad href's to divs in the slideshow, etc. How can I import these modified html files back into Muse so I can publish back to Business Catalyst?
I realize it's an easy solution to host the exported files on another server, but I'd really like to stay within the Muse/Biz Catalyst environment with updated html's.
    thanks much!!

There isn't a way at this time to import HTML files into Muse and expect it to load in Design mode for a subsequent re-publish. The only kind of editing that Muse supports today (outside of Muse) is through Business Catalyst's In-Browser editing feature but that is limited to editing only text (without any formatting or styles) and foreground images <http://www.adobekb.com/working-with-in-browser-editing_pt01.html>. Feel free to submit your feature request over at our Ideas section.
    Thanks,

  • What is the best way to Place/Embed/Link swf files to play in my Muse website?

I have some older swf files that I created and would love to have them play on my webpage in my Muse website. As soon as I use the place command to put them on a page, Muse crashes when I try and preview that page or publish the site. I'm new to Muse so maybe I should be using an alternate method of bringing those swf files in.
Also, I would like to use some of the Reallusion programs to create a "talking head" that introduces my website when visitors enter. But Crazy Talk 7 only seems to want to create avi files. What is the best way to get avi's to play in Muse? I have posted this question in the Flash forum also.
Is there a program in the Creative Suite package that would be better to use to create this talking head or a workflow that will make these videos usable on the pages of Muse?

Can anyone help me with submitting my site to google.
I realise adobe muse automatically creates a sitemap.xml file, however I am not sure how to submit this to Google?

  • Muse website files

I recently created a website in Muse. After launching I cleared it out of recent activity. Can I restore these files back into Muse so I can continue to edit site? Thanks.

    Hi Indy,
If you haven't saved it, then there is no way to retrieve it. You can't import the files into Muse from the hosting server as you can open only .muse files in Muse. Upon publishing, the site pages are converted into .html files.
