Data forms - (introduce data at level 0)
Hi,
I'm creating data forms, and I want that users only could introduce data to members of level 0, so on parents they can not write anything.
How I can do it?

version is one of the standard dimension that gets created vid every planning application.
You can go to administration->Dimension and select Version dimension to check whtr the version in use is STANDARD TARGET or STANDRAD BOTTOM UP(mentioned in front of every member under version dimension)
If its Bottom Up you can't enter the value at parent level and if its standard target you can restrict the same using asymmetric form or user security.

Hi, All
I am using Agilent 532XX Series driver to read data from a frequency counter. In the low level subVi : \Public\Data\Low Level\Fetch Measurement (Single).vi, "Scan From String" is used to convert the data.
however, if I check the error of this function, it always show me a error with current format string "%.;%g;". after I changed it to "%;%g", I don't get the error anymore.
If anyone use this funtion, please check the error out of that fuction and see what you get.

CQI don't have the instrument, so I can't reproduce it completely, but I've done some research and if there is an error I don't think it's in the string conversion itself. I say this because:
From what I can gather, a typical output string would be the following: +4.27150000E-03
I took just a "scan from string" node and gave it that string as a string input and %.;%g; as the format specifier string. This yielded a numeric value of 0.0042715
So, as far as actually finding the root of the problem, there could be a few things going on. My first thought is some form corruption causing the data received to not be valid for conversion. There are two ways of testing this:
Open up a test panel in MAX and perform a loopback test, as described here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3450/en/#toc4

Install and open NI IO Trace and view the bus traffic as detailed here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/282C5D41E2BA04F2862574BA007803B9
If the loopback tests works properly, go ahead and run the IO trace and post the results here.

Setting the Member & data build level dynamically
Hello, I have got a situation where i need to set the Member & data build level dynamically based on the member. The option "Build Multidimensional down to here"(OLAPMetaoutline Menu)can be used,But when we use this option i could not perform my task as i need set the Build level dynamically based on the member level.I have to set the level dynamically for the following instance.Suppose My time dimension hierarchy is as follows: BY Year BY Quarter By Month If the year is say 1995,then quarter level & month level data is not required. If the year is say 1998,then quarter level & month level data is required. Could anyone provide a solution for dynamically setting the Member & data build level? Thanks,Sathyan

My source side i am having BANK_BRANCH_STATUS table has BRANCH_CODE and EOC_STATUS(possible values for this column is 'N','T','F','E' & 'B').

Error in 2LIS_02_SCL(pur.Data(DocumentScheduleLine Level)

I am loading data for MM for 2LIS_02_SCL(pur.Data(DocumentScheduleLine Level) in status the error message is
"Entry MMC1 does not exist in T001W (check entry)".
When in Long text i found the Matter:
"Input value must be defined in table T001W the value or values MMC1 are not Specified in this table "
Procedure
"check wheathher the input is correct and correct if necessary"
The thing is that i dont know how to rectify this procedure

when we enter the data mm01 we select views.these views are based on cleint level,plant level,storage location level .i want the difference between all the three levels.how do we differentiate.As per our business process there are one company and in which many plants and storage location are available. In which many materials are available in different plant in different storage location.
As per SAP Standard structure: -
Company >> Company code1 & Company code2... >> Plant 1 & Plant 2 & Plant 3 .... >> Storage location 1 & 2 & 3........
And in all plant and storage location have different data.
Suppose in one plant we do quality testing for material and it may be possible in other plant we not perform quality testing for material. So in this case for same material quality data is different for different plants.
Client Level: - Means data is same for all plant level like Basic data
Plant Level: - Means data is based on plant level like Purchasing, Plant data, Quality data, Accounting view.
Storage location level: - Means data is based on storage location level, for different storage location data will be different like Storage location stock data ..
Due to this you can maintain different data on plant level & storage location level.

the client level data is the field data which will be common for all plants
plant level data is the field data which is plant specific
also in purchasing view many fields are plant specific
to check it just do one goto mm03
give material and only select the pur view
at now give only plant and check fields
now repeate same without plant ,at this time u will see the client specific field
the UOM is the client level filed ,it is also in mRp view but as the mrp is used for plant it is in plznt specific data

Whether Variable pushes filter to Data Foundation level
Hi,
We use a Calculation View that consumes four analytical views (through Union).
We would like to know whether creating a Variable on the Calculation View level will push the filter to Analytical View level also.
We tried creating a Variable in the underlying Analytical Views and try to propagate to upper level Calculation View, but HANA does not recognize the Variables from underlying Analytical Views.
HANA however recognizes the Input Parameters created in underlying Analytical Views.
Our queries here are:
Whether Variable pushes the filter to the Data Foundation level of a View
Whether Variable created in a Calculation View pushes the filter further down to the Data Foundation levels of Analytical Views that it is referencing

I would be interested to get an opinion/feedback from Lars Breddeman since he is the king of small tricks to get better performance.
What I found to be true, is just as Jody said - for a filter/variable to truly be pushed down, it needs to be clearly mapped all the way from the source and NOT derived from a join AFTER the union. In the case of the AN as a source, the same should be true - just make sure you are mapping the columns to the unions consistently.
For example, consider two scenarios, each will require a mandatory variable on the column "OWNER" to ensure smaller datasets.
Case #1 - two tables are unioned and then joined to another table to derive OWNER.
In the Vizplan, we can see that even though we specified something in the where clause/variable, we are getting a lot of records (~5million) at the lowest level, and the filter kicks in after the join. Execution is about 1.1s. This shows me that the ENTIRE union needs to be generated for the filter on the joined column OWNER to be properly evaluated.
Case #2 - two tables are joined THEN unioned, bringing the desired filter column OWNER through the union and into the result set.
In the Vizplan, we can see that at the lowest level the filter is being pushed down, only 9 records are returned after the joins are evaluated. Execution is about 100ms, 10x faster than the previous example. Extrapolated over a large dataset, this would be a much more significant number.

Please suggest me to make all the forms at a user level or responsibility level to be read only. So that when a particular user logs in, he gets all the form in read only mode or at a particular responsibility all the forms are read only so that we can attach this responsibility to the user for the same purpose.

Opening Customer Standard Form to the Address Level
Hello All,
I am trying to either use/create an oracle function in order to open the customer standard form to the address level from another form in 11.5.10. i know I can do something like this:
FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE( 'AR_ARXCUDCI_STD'
, 'Y'
, 'Y'
, 'CUSTOMER_ID='||<VARIABLE THAT IS THE CUSTOMER ID>);
But this opens the form to the main section of the form. What I want is to open the customer form to the address level which is one level down.
I have tried messing with the function statement above by trying different parameters with no success.
I would really appreciate if someone could tell me what parameters to enter in order to achieve this or if they know of a form in 11.5.10 that does this then I can find how they did it from that.sorry I did not get you,

Do you have any idea how to disable a push button using forms personalization?

Smart form for different header level data
Hi,
I need to design a smart form,in th samart form i have 2 header records and for each header reocrd again 10 item records.
My form shd print with fst header record and its item records and after ending fst header record details it shd give 2nd header record and its item records.
For example I have Header records A and B
A have 1 2 3 4 5 item records and
B have 7 8 9 10 11 item records
My form shd be

You must be having some indicator in your ITEM table to distinguish different set of data.
In the TABLE node, Under the DATA tab, give your field in the Sort Criteria.
Select the check box Event on Sort Begin.
This will create a new node under the HEADER and MAIN area of your table. In this Node, you can put your Header to have it different for different set of records.
Like:
MAIN window
.. TABLE with sort of field1
.... HEADER
.... FIELD1 sort begin "use this for Header
.... MAIN

I need to catch some Atrribute into DFF, which are stored in Customer Master DFF to Order Entry Form DFF, when that Particular Customer is selected.
For e.g. If in DFF of Customer Master Attribute1 is 'XYZ' for ABC Customer.

Error while loading data after level 17 patch
Hi all,
A week ago we had patch level 17 implemented on our SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 system. Since then, we cannot load any data to some cubes using update rules. We get "Error when generating the update program" (Message no. RSAU484), status red while loading data.
I tried activating the update rules
We get te same error when loading data from a DSO into a cube.
The strange thing is that it doesn't happen for all the objects in the system. We have troubles loading deltas from 2LIS_12_VCITM (delivery items), 2LIS_13VAITM (sales order items) and from a BI content DSO in assets accountng.
Please if you have any idea or if this happend to you, i appreciate any suggestion.
This is not an implementation, these processes are already live for months, and we didtn't have any problems before the patch..

The solution:
1. Apply 2 notes:
[Note 1146851 - BI 7.0 (SP 18): Error RSAU 484 when generating update|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1146851]
[Note 1152453 - Termination generating InfoCube write program|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1152453]
2. Then run program RSDD_RSTMPLWIDTP_GEN_ALL
to generate the new programs for InfoCubes from the template RSTMPLWIDTP and cleans up the staging table RSUPDINFO per note 1152453.
