Data Management Services with Cairngorm 2.1

Hello.
I have been using cairngorm 2.0 for a while, and I am now
trying to convert the 2.1 stuff over, including using cairngorm to
manage my DataServices. However I have some questions about it if
you have used it.
Using the command, and passing the command into the delegate,
and then firing the service from the delegate, there is a problem
trying to catch faults. Even though I have a fault method defined
on my command, and I am setting up the responder on the delegate as
the command which called it, the fault handler is not being fired.
I am generating a runtime exception on the java assembler just to
see what happens, and the delegate never fires the fault handler.
However if I remove the runtime excpetion from the java
assembler, and put a simple alert on the result, the delegate sends
to the commands result function, and the alert fires.
If you have any code examples, even if they dont have the
actual assembler behind them, I would really appreciate it. I dont
know if you are supposed to define commands which call DataServices
the same way you would declare a command that calls a RemoteObject.
If so how do you do that? What do you declare on the command to get
it to work?
If you have any ideas, please help.

Has this question already been answered on flexcoders? I
think the Cairngorm folks may be more plugged in there than here:

    Thanks Sandy,
I have already solved the problem , I  have done the following actions:
    1. Stop J2EE engine
    2. rename folder
         /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap
Please rename this adssap folder to adssap.old
    3. Start J2EE engine
During starting J2EE engine, folder adssap will be re-generated.
    4. Also make sure XMLform.exe is extracted under
        /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin
I restarted the entire instance (ABAP  and JAVA) and now all is running fine.

  • Oracle Meter Data Management Integration with SAP ISU

    Hello Everyone,
I am aware of the fact that Oracle has released a Media pack for the subject integration as discussed here and that media pack works only for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 5 with ISU_AMI_2.
We have got OU MDM Release 2.1 Media Pack v4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 with ISU_AMI_1 and hence Adapter in MDM won't help to achieve integration with SAP as our SAP EHP is lower than what is required for the MDM adapter. We have got SAP PI which would help the SAP End in the integration.
What are the possible work-around(s) to achieve the integration between Oracle MDM and SAP ISU without using the Media Pack/Adapter?
How does MDM exposes its services (inbound/outbound) to be consumed/triggered by External systems (i.e. SAP ISU)?
List of Services (inbound/outbound) exposed by Oracle MDM for integration?
Your time and help is much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Adil Khalil

Did you find the document Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Meter Data Management Integration Implementation Guide?
I searched on eDelivery and Oracle Support, but cannot find the document.

  • How to use generated code from "Import Web Services" with Cairngorm Framework

I recently downloaded Flex Builder 3 beta 2 and tried out the
wizard that lets you import web services. The code that is
auto-generated makes if fairly straight forward to consume web
services using the object types defined in the WSDL. No longer does
the developer need to decode the XML payload! The only problem I am
having is how does you integrate the auto- generated code with the
Cairngorm framework? This seems like a huge question for anyone who
might want to leverage Cairngorm and the auto-generated proxy code
in the same project (like me).
Here are the problems that I see so far.
    1) How do you configure the generated service class to work
with the Cairngorm service locator? The service constructor only
accepts a “LCDS destination string” which implies that
you must use Lifecycle data services. Unfortunately, the project I
am trying to retrofit currently uses a WebService and does not use
data services. All I really need to do is change the endpoint URL
(ie from local to a development server). This issue is noted in the
bug https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-8456. What I think is
needed is a way to set the endpointURI in the Services.mxml file.
    2) Even if I come up with a hack around #1, I do not receive
a callback to my IResponder even though I register it immediately
after the method call. I can register and listener function within
my business delegate and receive the callback, but my Command
object, which implements IResponder, does not receive the call back
even though it is registered. From what I read in the ASDocs it
should but it doesn’t for me!
These are the issues I have observed in 3 hours of messing
with this. I hope this makes sense. I would love to integrate
auto-generated web service proxies into Cairngorm but I don’t
see a straight forward way without re-architecting Cairngorm. Has
any one else run across this issue? If so, do you have any insights
on how to proceed? Any help is appreciated.

Since I posted this question, I have abandoned the notion of
auto-generated web services and embraced the good old FDS concept
where the RemoteObject meta-tag does all the conversion work for
me. We are now using the Granite DS package and it is working well
for us. I would love to consume web services, but it just isn't
worth the hassle when all you have to do with Granite (and FDS) is
cast your return objects to the proper object type.
BTW, since this posting, I have investigated competing Flex
app frameworks. After my research, I checked out the PureMVC
framework. Wow!! Cairngorm always left me with an uneasy feeling
and I guess I am not alone. Apparently, Cliff Hall felt the same
way. That is why he started the project. I like his approach alot
more than Cairngorm especially since it includes notifications
which allow me to broadcast my own app level events independent
from the AS Event framework. Check out PureMVC. For what it is
worth, it has my humble endorsement. Cliff was even gracious enough
to acknowledge the other Adobe Consulting guys for their work. Good
for you Cliff, I respect that. Check out a better way at
    http://www.puremvc.org/

  • How to Customie Document Manager Service with a custom Java Application

    Hi,
We have a requirement where we want to send customized emails to a group administrator whenever any document is uploaded using the Document Manager servie in Webcenter. For that we have written a java component for sending mails.
Could anyone tell me how do we make this java component work with the Document Manager upload action. how to modify it?
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

The FieldPoint Ethernet modules (as well as LabVIEW - DSC and Lookout) utilize a propietary National Instruments Ethernet protocol. The protocol is not published and is currently restricted to Windows based platforms. There are several interfaces that allow one to communicate using the proprietary protocol; including NI FieldPoint (which has interfaces for LabVIEW, OPC, LabWindows/CVI), Lookout, LabVIEW - DSC, DataSocket, and (I think) a ComponentWorks module). Even though several of these interfaces are multiplatform, the ethernet support will only work on Windows based platforms.
Whereas the FieldPoint ethernet protocol is proprietary and closed, the protocol for the serial modules is open and published in the FP-1000/1001 Programmers Reference Manual. You can build your own multi-platform solution that way. Alternatively, you can use the FP-20XX series of RT Controllers and embed a LabVIEW RT program that publishes the channel data in your own format that you can write a non-platform specific interface to.

    Aaron

  • Request management service issue with SSL Sites

    Hi guys,
I've configured up the request management service, but after start the service on our wfe servers (even before to configure specific web applications),  our ssl sites begin to fail and the event viewer start to alert several errors, by the other hand,
sites over 80 port with no SSL works as expected.
I've found some similiar scenarios without a happy ending. Below you can find some of the main errors in event viewer and ULS Logs. In
this post  solved a very similar issue using ssl host headers with a unique ip but we are using fqdn certificates so it is not an option for us.
    I've already checked the
good posts from Spencer Harbar and He says that is good idea to use host named site collection, but this is not an option for me because we need to use Self Service Creation and mixed authetnication, besides, None of the Technet literature that i've reviewed
says  something about don't support path based site collection.
So far, the only way to avoid this errors is not using the service(discouraging finding), These are some errors we got on Event viewer and logs:
Machine 'MACHINENAME (AppPool(_LM_W3SVC_515444293_ROOT))' failed ping validation and has been unavailable since '3/28/2014 3:55:48 PM'.  (Just starting the service Event viewer begis to have a bunch of this errors)

    Regards,

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had an issue about the Request management service with SSL sites.
It’s a known issue that the request management service could not work with the SSL site.
We had already reported the issue to the product team, as a workaround, if you want to use the request management service, you can change the https site back to http.
What’s more, the SharePoint 2013 SP1 has been relased, you can install it to check whether it works.

  • Integration Oracle Utilities CC&B w/ non-Oracle bespoke Meter Data Management system

    Hello all,
In your opinion, what's the best way to integrate a bespoke (non-Oracle) Meter Data Management system with Oracle CC&B 2.3.1 or 2.4?
I came up with a few possible scenarios and would love to hear your opinion:
    1. Use CC&B Meter Read upload (MUP) batch process to upload reads from our bespoke Meter Data system.
    2. The bespoke Meter Data Management system adds Meter Reads to CC&B using a CC&B Inbound Service.
    3. At Billing time, CC&B invokes a Get Consumption Algorithm (invoked before the Bill Segment Creation Algorithm) which is responsible for requesting the reads from our bespoke Meter Data Management system.
This is the approach used by the Oracle CC&B-Oracle MDM integration when it comes to Usage requests/transactions.
    4. Any other idea? Feel free to share.
    Thanks

what I did wrong? how to start WLS server?

    Hi,
First of all with EM 12.1.0.x any version you are not required to install wls separately, we have single installer for em and wls. Is there any specific reason you installer wls separately?
Coming back to your issue: can you check
    %OMS_HOME%\BIN>emctl istart oms completes successfully.
    %OMS_HOME%\BIN>emctl istop oms completes successfully.
Also open an SR with Oracle support and share the number. We should debug such issue through SR so that we can share logs and come find a root cause.

  • 'Merge Data Values' on data manager package

    Hi there
I have a query with the 'Copy' data manager package.  We are currently selecting 'Merge Data Values' which appears to be finding anything where the key already exists and replacing it with the new data.  That's fine.
However, our user is wanting to consolidate various different category members into a single category member.  Therefore, we would like to run a package to SUM new values with what is already in the cube rather than first delete and replace with the latest value.
Is there a way to do this ?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
Please read this: BPC 7.5/10.0 : MOVE Data manager Package with keyfigure additions on move
Or you can use script logic to add values like:
    *REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE%+[CATEGORY].[DESTINATION],CATEGORY=DESTINATION)

  • BPC 7.5 NW -- Data Manager Export:  Fixed-Length Fields?

    Hi Experts,
Client has a requirement that we export a batch of transaction data from BPC, which is generally no problem, but in this case they want to do it with Fixed-Length fields in the Export file.
I've done a lot of BPC Data Manager Imports with Fixed-Length fields, and that function really works well.  But, has anyone tried to use the Export package with this option?  It doesn't seem to be working in my case yet.
    Any tips?
    Thanks so much, as always,
    Garrett
    =======================
Update -- After going back to review documentation, it looks like the the *PAD() function is actually intended for export not really importing, which makes sense.  ...The SAP online help library says that it's meant for import, but I now believe that is a typo.
Also, I've added the line "OUTPUTFORMAT = NORMAL" in my *OPTIONS section.  Anyone else manage to get export working on BPC 7.5 NW

Update -- This problem may now be resolved.
I have been able to conduct test IMPORTs of 48,000, then 96,000 and then 1.7 million records.  All were fine.
It turns out that that difference is that the text files were sorted by amount in the ones that failed.  They were sorted by GLAccount in column A for the ones that succeeded.
Edit:  Yep, all files loaded normally when re-sorted by GLACCOUNT, etc. on the left-hand side.  Apparently, when you're doing a lot of records that might confuse the system or something

  • Exchange 2013 CU2 Hab trasnport and Microsoft Filtering management Services did not start

Did you were able to fix the issue I have the same problem after Access denied for Transport service and Microsoft Filtering Management Service with Error 0x8000405 unspecified error.

    Hi,
From your description, I would like to verify if there is an event 2200 in Application log. If yes, please copy the ConfigurationServer.xml file from a normal Exchange server 2013 and add it to your Exchange server to check the result.
If there is no event 2200, please take your time to post your error event for my further research.
Here is a thread for your reference.
