Data Mismatch in SXMB_MONI & ABAP Program.

Hi All,
I've a RFC to JDBC scenario. When I'm executing the program in the R3 server it showing me the correct value of a field retrieved from a FM but when I'm checking the entries for the same program in MONI, I'm finding that the data is wrong i.e. a field of length 22 chars is showing only 1 character.
1) I've re-imported the RFC.
2) Did the Mapping again.
3) Activated the whole interface.
4) Done Cache Refresh.
But still I'm getting the same error.
Is there anything else I need to do get the correct data.
Thanks in Advance
Sreedhar

Hi Sreedhar,
Can you provide us a sample target msg (JDBC) you are sending to the DB?
Have a look at the structure format for the receiver JDBC from the below link and make sure that your target structure conforms the expected JDBC structure  : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2e/96fd3f2d14e869e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

  • Read Data From DSO - In ABAP Program

    HI Friends,
Can any one tell how to read Data from a DSO in a Abap Program on BI System itself......
Which is the better way to read data from DSO in Abap Program... Is it
    1. Reading Data Directly From the Active Table Of the DSO ... or
    2. Reading Data From DSO....
In case of reading data from DSO.... Which function module is used to do this work....When i searched the forum i came across 2 function Modules.... BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC and RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ..... Please let me know which one should be used....
    Regards,
    Shyam.

    Hi Shyam,
The active content of any ods will be stored in the database tables( SE11) with the naming convention /BIC/A<odsname>00 for Custom-defined DSO and /BI0/A<odsname>00 for Business content delivered DSO.
For example if the technical name of the ods is TEST , then the active content table name in SE11 will be /BIC/ATEST00.
You can write your own program to read the contents of this database table.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • How can i print data in smartforms from ABAP program.

    Dear gurus:
in my abap program i process require data, and saved in a internal table.
how can l print the data in smartforms.?
who can give me a code sample is better:)
    reward all helpful advise.

    Try this....
    1) Tcode --> SmartForms
    2) Form name --> Z_SF_TEST Create
    3) Under Global settings
    a) Form Interface
        Table Tab
       ITAB LIKE EKPO
    b) GLOBAL Definitions
    WA_NETPR LIKE EKPO-NETPR
In smart forms if we want to display quantity and currency fields. We can't directly display currency field and quantity fields
For that we have to create an extra variable in global definitions
    Ex: netpr FIELD of EKPO
CREATE program lines and specify WA_NETWR = itab-netpr.
    4) RT CLick on main Window
       CREATE --> TABLE
      Click Table painter
    DEFAULT %LTYPE will be Created
    a) If you want more like Header footer etc add by rt click on %LTYPE1
    Table (Tab)
    %LTYPE  Radio(SELECT) 5 CM 5 CM 6 CM
    CLICK on DATA (Tab)
    INTERNAL TABLE ITAB LIKE ITAB
5)RT click on table control and create --> program lines
    General attribute (Tab)
    INPUT PARAMETER               OUTPUT PARAMETER
    itab                               WA_NETPR
    Code Area
    WA_NETWR = ITAB-NETPR.
    6) RT CLcick on table ctl and create 3 text to display the fields
    a) % text1 +button(insert field)
       FIELD name &itab-ebeln&
    Output options (tab)
    Check New line   LINETYPE   %Ltype1
    check new cell
    b) % text2
       & itab-ebelp&
    output options
    check new cell
    c) % text2
       & wa_netpr&
    output options
    check new cell
    <b>Report ac
    Tables ekpo.
Data: itab1 like ekpo occurs 0 with header line.
select * into table itab1 from ekpo.
Call function module --> smart form function module and pass your internal table</b>

  • Newbie question: Send data to printer from ABAP program

    Hello, I am a newbie.
I do not use  SAPScript nor SmartForms.
But I need to send a printer command stream from my ABAP to printer.
    Is it possible?
How can this be possible? Please give me some guideline.
I will reward you points. Promise.
    Thanks

    hi,
u can send ur program details to printer using submit to sap-spool statement.
    SUBMIT TO SAP-SPOOL
    Basic form
    SUBMIT rep ... TO SAP-SPOOL.
    Extras:
1.... DESTINATION dest         ... COPIES cop
            ... LIST NAME name
            ... LIST DATASET dsn
            ... COVER TEXT text
            ... LIST AUTHORITY auth
            ... IMMEDIATELY flag
            ... KEEP IN SPOOL flag
            ... NEW LIST IDENTIFICATION flag
            ... DATASET EXPIRATION days
            ... LINE-COUNT lin
            ... LINE-SIZE  col
            ... LAYOUT layout
            ... SAP COVER PAGE mode
            ... COVER PAGE flag
            ... RECEIVER rec
            ... DEPARTMENT dep
            ... ARCHIVE MODE armode
            ... ARCHIVE PARAMETERS arparams
            ... WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
    2. ... SPOOL PARAMETERS params
             ... ARCHIVE PARAMETERS arparams
             ... WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
    3. ... Further parameters (for passing variants)
are described in the documentation for SUBMIT
The syntax check performed in an ABAP Objects context is stricter than in other ABAP areas. See Missing print parameters with SUBMIT.
    Effect
Calls the report rep with list output to the SAP spool database.
    Additions
    ... DESTINATION dest(output device)
    ... COPIES cop(number of copies)
... LIST NAME name(name of list)
... LIST DATASET dsn(name of spool dataset)
... COVER TEXT text(title of spool request)
... LIST AUTHORITY auth(authorization for display)
    ... IMMEDIATELY flag(print immediately ?)
... KEEP IN SPOOL flag(keep list after print ?)
... NEW LIST IDENTIFICATION flag(new spool request ?)
... DATASET EXPIRATION days(number of days list
    retained)
... LINE-COUNT lin ( lin lines per page)
    ... LINE-SIZE  col(col columns per line)
    ... LAYOUT layout(print format)
... SAP COVER PAGE mode(SAP cover sheet ?)
    ... COVER PAGE flag(selection cover sheet ?)
... RECEIVER rec(SAP user name of
    recipient)
    ... DEPARTMENT dep(name of department)
    ... ARCHIVE MODE armode(archiving mode)
... ARCHIVE PARAMETERS arparams(structure with archiving
    parameters)
... WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO(skip print control screen)
With the parameters IMMEDIATELY, KEEP IN SPOOL, NEW LIST IDENTIFICATION and COVER TEXT, flag must be a literal or character field with the length 1. If flag is blank, the parameter is switched off, but any other character switches the parameter on. You can also omit any of the sub-options of PRINT ON. mode with SAP COVER PAGE can accept the values ' ', 'X' and 'D'. These values have the following meaning:
' ' : Do not output cover sheet
    'X' : Output cover sheet
'D' : Cover sheet output according to printer setting
armode with ARCHIVE MODE can accept the values '1', '2' and '3'. These values have the following meaning:
    '1' : Print only
    '2' : Archive only
    '3' : Print and archive
arparams with ARCHIVE PARAMETERS must have the same structure as ARC_PARAMS. This parameter should only be processed with the function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS.
    Effect
Output is to the SAP spool database with the specified parameters. If you omit one of the parameters, the system uses a default value. Before output to the spool, you normally see a screen where you can enter and/or modify the spool parameters. However, you can suppress this screen with the following statement:
... TO SAP-SPOOL WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
You could use this option if all the spool parameters have already been set!
    Note
When specifying the LINE-SIZE, you should not give any value > 132 because most printers cannot print wider lists.
    Addition 2
... SPOOL PARAMETERS params(structure with print
    parameters)
... ARCHIVE PARAMETERS arparams(Structure with archive
    parameters)
... WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO(skip print parameters
    screen)
    Effect
Output is to the SAP spool database with the specified parameters. The print parameters are passed by the field string params which must have the structure of PRI_PARAMS. The field string can be filled and modified with the function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS. The specification arparams with ARCHIVE PARAMETERS must have the structure of ARC_PARAMS. This parameter should only be processed with the function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS. Before output to the spool, you normally see a screen where you can enter and/or modify the spool parameters. However, you can suppress this screen with the following statement:
    ... WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
    Example
    Without archiving

  • View ABAP program data in PDF

    Hello Experts,
I am working on program to display the invoices data in PDF through ABAP program. For this i have used cl_gui_html_viewer and ALV grid. everything works fine but one. When I click on the PDF preview button on screen then for first PDF its working fine, but when i click on the another PDF preview button then it displays blank screen. In case of rerunning the program it again works fine only for first PDF preview. if anybody have idea regarding this issue please share it with me. FYI i am attaching necessary code with this.

  • Extraction of Data from ECC using ABAP Stage in Datastage

    Hi
We are required to extract the customer master data from GFIMS SAP ECC5.0 system. This extraction involves fetching of data from 5 different tables. To attain this we are using ABAP stage in DATASTAGE.
For every run the ABAP stage of DataStage generates the ABAP program in DataStage, will place it in the SAP system and extract the data by executing the ABAP program.
To be able to use this ABAP stage we need to integrate the DataStage with SAP system. We have to send the cofiles and data files to SAP, these files will install a RFC enabled function module and user profile components in SAP.
They say, there is a security flaw in the function module component and this will lead to exposing of complete SAP system to outside members.
Please advise me to do alternative Ways.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi
You dont see the data source in R3? When you created the data source using Tcode RSO2 you would have put the data source under some application like SD, MM etc.
Please check in the respective application for your data source. If still the data source is still not seen, then check whether the data source is active or not.
    Hope it helps.

  • Use of ERP Infoset inside ABAP program

    Hello experts,
I created a quite complex InfoSet which is supposed to extract business relevant information from FI tables (above all BSID and BSAD) and provide them to users as a mean to interpret data. I'd like to use those data in a custom ABAP program with an extended logic, but I'm not sure how to use it inside my code.
The final result should be to send daily updates on BSAD activities to BI system, and given that BSAD does not have (as far as I know) any mean to completely track creation/modify actions, I came out with the InfoSet solution that make use of an additional field (called update_timestamp) derived from a complex query.
Any help/suggestion on how to overcome the issue will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards
    Davide Rizzo

    Hi
    Yes it's true.
If you put "#ec * at the end of a abap code row, you can suppress the warnining messages of extended program check.
Every kind of warning has own sign, you find out them while running extended check.
It's a way to clear the useless messages.
For example, you have created an include where you have defined several routines you have to use in several programs, but every program don't use all routines of that include, or you dynamically call those routines, so if you run the extend check for a certain program you can get a warning like that:
    FORM PLUTO not called directly
Now you can't delete the routine from the include, because it can be used by other program, but you can hide that message by "#ec CALLED:
    FORM <MY_FORM>. "#EC CALLED
    ENDFORM.

  • Execute webdynpro from abap program and return to the caller program

    Guys,
    I have a question here.
I know there is a way to call an abap webdynpro application from normal abap program by either using a class method, or use a function module WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE by providing
the webdynpro application or using CALL TRANSACTION statement.
But, is there anyways that we can call the webdynpro application from abap program by supplying data to the webdynpro and display to the user from the portal, and then
once the user do some manipulation on the data, can we transfer back the data to the caller abap program?

    hey ,
you can pack any web-dynpro program in tranasaction code and run it from R/3 and not via portal  :
search in " SAPTECHNICAL" how to do so  - for some reason i cant post a link here
than you can use call transaction .

  • Where does ABAP programs , BAPI's etc., get saved?

    Hi friends
We have an ERP server (ECC) and have created lots of database tables, functions, Abap programs etc.,
For some reason our ERP software is corrupted. However, the SQL database looks ok.
So here is what we want to do.
Since the SQL database is good, So we would like to backup the SQL database first.
We have a ghost image of the server that was done some 2 months back. So we would like to install the ghost image of the server from 2 months back. This will bring the server back to working condition but without data.
Then recover the SQL database which we backed up before installing the ghost.
By doing this, will we be able to get back all the tables, data elements, BAPIs, functions, ABAP programs etc.,
    Please let us know.
    I will really appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Ram

(subfolders COFILE and DATA of DIR_TRANS contain the transport requests once they are released, and they must exist in your system, check via AL11 to get the actual name on server, e.g. /usr/sap/trans/cofiles.)
Program sources are stored in a cluster like (comrpessed) table (tables REPOSRC and REPOTEXT and for older versions tables D010S, D010SINF, D010T, D010TINF) and so not easily downloadable.
You can create a report that read thru the abap program header table (TRDIR or via TADIR ) and execute the [READ REPORT|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPREAD_REPORT.htm] statement to load source into an internal table, then you can download it
Check sample at wiki like [Download given set of programs into a folder on presentation server|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/Downloadgivensetofprogramsintoafolderonpresentationserver]

  • How to extract data from BPC InfoCube via ABAP program?

    Hi experts!!
I tried to extract data from a BPC InfoCube via ABAP program, but I did'n have succeed.
I used the function 'RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ' to extract data from standard InfoCubes such as '0COPC_C07' and it run OK! However, when I change the InfoCube name to '/CPMB/WAIX8NE' (BPC InfoCube), everything goes wrong...
Is there any difference between extracting data from BPC and standard InfoCubes?
    Thank you all!

  • Error while calling ABAP program from Data Services

    Hi All,
We have a ABAP program which accepts two parameters 1] a date 2] a string of comma separated ARTICLE numbers .
We have used a ABAB transform in ABAP dataflow which refers this ABAP program.
If I pass a string of 6 articles as second parameter the job executes successfully
But if i pass 9 articles as follows
    $GV_ITEM_VALUES='3564785,1234789,1234509,1987654,1234567,2345678,3456789,4567890,5456759';
    i get the following error
ABAP program syntax error: <Literals that take up more than one line are not permitted>.
The error occurs immediately after ABAP dataflow starts, ie even before the ABAP job gets submitted to ECC
    I am using BODS 4.2 . The datatype of $GV_ITEM_VALUES is varchar(1000).
The ABAP program that gets generated by the DS job has the following datatype for this parameter
    PARAMETER $PARAM2(1000) TYPE C
Is there a different way to pass string characters to ABAP transform in data services?
I have attached the screen shot of trace log and error
    Regards,
    Sharayu

    Hi Sharayu,
The error your getting is because the  literals exceeds more than 72 characters.
It seems that the length of the string is exceeding more than 72 character.
Can you check the following in ECC GUI
    Go to Transaction SE38=>Utilities=>Settings=>ABAP Editor=>Editor=> Downwards -Comp.Line  Length(72).
The checkbox which defines length 72 must be clicked so the error is coming. Can you uncheck the checkbox and then try passing the parameter $GV_ITEM_VALUES using the BODS job
