Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal

Hi Experts,
By accessing the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator through the DOE. Then I log on to the DOE and choose "Data Orchestration Engine -> Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal." Then an IE pop up with URL "http://<hostname>:0/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/sdoe_administration?sap-language=EN".
but the following message appears on the IE,
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage...".
I am using MI7.1SP1
Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi Siva,
In tcode: SICF, At 'Virtualle Hosts/ Services' column I expanded the default_host -> sap -> bc -> webdynpro -> sap -> sdoe_administration, then right click 'activate' and then right click again 'Test Service' and I get the message,
http://<host-name>:0/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/doe_administration?sap_client=001
Application not found.
The "Data Orchestration Engine -> Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal."  IE still display the same message.
Please advise further.
Thank you

  • Data Quality Admin and Client on Windows 7 Issue

    Hi,
I am experiencing a strange behaviour of Data Quality two shortcuts referring to admin.exe and discovery.exe .
I get the program running only if I right click on the original installed shortcut (running as administrator). The will not work neither if the shortcut is copied anywhere else nor if the shortcut is got from the start menu after a search in the bottom box. The problem seems related to the compatibility. If I do not launch the binaries using the "troubleshoot compatiibilty" also the binary itself will not start.
Tried to save the settings to run in XP compatibility mode but this is not honored.
    Someone else fixed this?
    Thanks

The quickest solution might be to try to reinstall followed by another uninstall, or to use the Windows Install Cleanup Utility, (although Microsoft has removed it from their support site with the following disclaimer).
    Notice
This article previously contained a link to the Windows Installer Cleanup utility (MSICUU2.exe). If you were directed to this article to solve a problem installing a product other than Microsoft Office, please contact your software manufacturer for installation support on the product.
While the Windows Installer Cleanup utility resolved some installation problems, it sometimes damaged other components installed on the computer. Because of this, the tool has been removed from the Microsoft Download Center.
Nonetheless, here is an active link and basic instructions:
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    1.     To use the Windows CleanUp utility, follow these steps:
    a.     Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Install Clean Up.
    b.     Select the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
    c.     Click OK, and then click Exit.
If these suggestions do not help, then perhaps a case should be opended with TAC and they could assist with gathering the installer log files.

  • Netweaver Mobile 7.1 Data Orchestration Engine and 3rd party apps...

    Folks,
I have a third party mobile app that just won't go away (pun intended).
I will have a XMAM AND a 3rd Party App on 1 mobile device x's 1000's of devices.
Can I use Netweaver 7.1 DOE to synchronize my devices 3rd party app? I will have to develop new Business Objects of course.
    CP

    Hi Christopher,
you can use Netweaver Mobile 7.1 to download and deploy so-called mobile components. These mobile components will be always installed into the NW client container. In principle it is possible to create "client installers" which allows you writing a xml script containing installation commands. But as far as I know these commands are restricted to things like copying, deleting, file modification etc. Instaling a CAB-file for example will not be possible. And I guess this is what you are looking for, right?
In case, you want to deploy 3rd party apps written for Netweaver Mobile 7.1, deployment is definitely possible. You will create your app as mobile components containing business logic, data objects and UI in the designtime. These components you can remotely deploy through the DOE.
I hope this answer is helpfull for you. In case you have more questions, let me know.
    Regards,
    Stefan

  • DotNET Admin server, Java Portal Servers

We are to work for a customer who has a DotNet installation of ALUI Admin server running on an IIS host and the java versions of other portal components running on WebLogic.
Admin Server: Windows OS, IIS Server
Portal servers, Publisher, etc: RHE Linux, WebLogic Server
I was surprised to see this but everything works fine. Is this configuration a supported one? Anyone has worked on such a setup? How we can go about for an upgrade in such a environment? The immediate problem we have at hand is to upgrade the ALUI version from 6.1MP1 to 6.5MP1. I believe I have to upgrade the admin and the portal servers separately. Appreciate any advices or recommendations :)

    Thank you for that clarification.
So how does one go about upgrades of a portal deployment spread over different boxes (Dot Net or Java)? For e.g., if the portal components like Admin server, portal servers, documentary repository, automation service, search services, etc. are running on different machines. Do we run installers separately for each of those or could a single installer run(for upgrade) be used for all?
Among other things, a Windows installation of portal supports MS SQL Server DB whereas a Linux installation doesnt. So if the admin server is running in Windows (IIS) and portal server in Linux (Weblogic), could we use MS SQL server as the DB. Will such a deployment have any vulnerabilities / incombatibilities on upgrade?

  • ISE admin , PSN and monitoring node fail-over and fall back scenario

    Hi Experts,
I have question about ISE failover .
I have two ISE appliaces in two different location . I am trying to understand the fail-over scenario and fall-back scenario
I have gone through document as well however still not clear.
my Primary ISE server would have primary admin role , primary monitoring node and secondary ISE would have secondary admin and secondary monitoring role .
In case of primary ISE appliance failure , I will have to login into secondary ISE node and make admin role as primary but how about if primary ISE comes back ? what would be scenario ?
during the primary failure will there any impact with users for authentication ? as far as PSN is available from secondary , it should work ...right ?
and what is the actual method to promote the secondary ISE admin node to primary ? do i have to even manually make monitoring node role changes ?
will i have to reboot the secondary ISE after promoting admin role to primary  ?

We have the same set up across an OTV link and have tested this scenario out multiple times. You don't have to do anything if communication is broken between the prim and secondary nodes. The secondary will automatically start authenticating devices that it is in contact with. If you promote the secondary to primary after the link is broke it will assume the primary role when the link is restored and force the former primary nodes to secondary.

  • Failure messages to be displayed in BAM and ESB Portal

    Hi,
As per requirement, I need to display all resumable/Non-resumable messages in both BAM and ESB Portals.for resumable messages, admin will resubmit the messages from ESB Portal. Please let me know how to achieve this requirement.

I have a project requirement, where I have to show all failure messages(resumable\non-resumable) in BAM and ESB portal.
    Order Creation Process:
    1. Developed Main Orchestration and exposed as a webservice for front end client. There are sub -process orchestration involved
2.Front end client will consume Main Orchestration Service and submit the data
3.There are multiple sub -process orchestration are involved after receving the data from Main Orchestration
4.while executing Order Process, if any error occurs in any of the orchestration then those failure's to be displayed in BAM and ESB Management Portal
    5. Based on the Order ID  End User will need to search failure message details  from BAM
    6. The failure message will be resubmit from ESB Management Portal for further process.
Please let me know your thoughts on how to provide the solution for above approach

  • Autonomy, Governance and Monitoring Inter Organisational BPM

    Hi All,
Which technological approach is suitable for implementing Collaborating BPM across the value chain from the point of view of Autonomy, Governance, Security, and Monitoring? What are the benefits of selecting the one approach over the other?
These approaches are Centralise, Decentralise, and Peer-to-Peer.
    Explanation of these approaches:
Centralise CBPM: Ownership of Collaborative System is with one Central Organisation and other Partners Participate in this collaboration through use of various UI’s such as portal. Example, Collaboration between the automobile manufacturer and dealer were automobile manufacturer provides portal for dealer to place order, manage its customer and handle warranty and recalls.
Decentralise CBPM: In this approach every partner provides communication technology like Web Services for its Business Partner for collaboration. The ownership is decentralise and more flexible
Peer-to-Peer CBPM: In ideal condition in this approach every Partner should have the same technology which is developed for handling collaborative Business Processes. In this case the same modelling, monitoring, and implementation technology is available across the value chain.
I kindly request your views and appreciate any questions and guidance.
    Regards,
    Ganesh Sawant

    PROS:
Using the Webservices you can trigger the BPM Process and pass the values from the web dypro component which will available for the end user and pass it on to the BPM Proess.
We can use EJB as a webservice, where the automated activity in the BPM can output the value based on the logic in the EJB Function. We can manage the automated activity which runs in the back ground of the process as per our logic and returns the value to the next task.
    CONS
Using Webservices in the various activity with fewer data is not advisable as it takes longer time to deploy the process. And any change in the data in the webservices requires regularly re importing of the web services.

  • Difference between Integration Process and Monitoring Process

    Hi Experts,
What is the difference between Integration Process and Monitoring Process available in PI7.1?
SAP says that Monitoring process is a special kind of integration process that receives the event messages.
My doubt is even integration process can receive the event messages.
Why these two different type of entities are created for the same purpose?
And what is the technical difference between the two in terms of PI perspective?
    Regards,
    Sami.

    My question is now answered.
On page 17 of this pdf following sentence is mentioned :-
From technical perspective, there is no difference between monitoring process and integration process.
Though logically those are two deifferent things.
Monitoring porcesses are used to receive only event messages that is comprises of event data only.
Like Purchase order creation is a event and its event message will have the event data like Order Id, Created on, Created by, Quantity etc., instead of whole purchase order.
Where as Integration Process is a way to provide solution in some specific circummtances like where we have to automate our process or where we need something in between for the course of communication.
Guys thanks for your precious time.
    Regards,
    Sami.

  • No data in the activity monitor

All of a sudden I don't have any data in the activity monitor. Here's what happened. I was using safari viewing online pictures. I kept getting the rolling ball between pictures and noticed that safari was using 100%+ in processor usage and safari seemed slow. So I rebooted and opened the activity monitor and no data shows up. I run a quick hardware test and all pass. I havn't gone back to the pictures yet but normal browsing seems to be fine. I watch a few 1080P trailers and they work fine too.
All ideas on why the monitor doesn't show data?
    Ray

    Hmm...let's try this:
Go to User/Library/Preferences and drag the com.apple.ActivityMonitor.plist file to your Desktop. Then try launching Activity Monitor again to see if that makes anything show up. If so, then it was a corrupted preferences file, and you can then trash the one on your Desktop.
If that doesn't solve the problem, the only thing I can suggest is to Trash the application and the preferences file, then reinstall it from your 10.4 DVDs.
