Data Server stops running after client disconnected

Hi All,
I run a simple data server vi on my SBRIO and access it from a client.
It works perfectly fine during the first connection but when i disconnect my client the server flag an error and i am not able to receive any data from it again even if i reconnect my client.
How do i make it to actively listen again every time it lost a connection from the client?
Attached is the simple data server from the examples.

  • Weblogic admin server stops running after a while

    Hi,
    we have a distributed environment 11.1.2. On the server where we have weblgic admin server running, it seems to stop running everytime I disconnect from the server. I end up starting it everytime I login to the server. How can I keep it running all the time?Doesn't it start as part of the 'start EPM' script?
    here is the error I am getting:

    I've never seen this and we've been running 8.1.5 for a while. Have you tried dumping threads to see what the admin server is doing? On UNIX, run 'kill -QUIT <admserv_pid>'. Can't remember if/how this can be done on Win32. I believe Console requests use the weblogic.admin.HTTP execute queue and it only has two threads. Could be that something is blocking those threads leading to this.
    I would also look into why your admin server takes 2 minutes to discover your managed servers. That seems unseemly long to me. Mine takes a few seconds at most. Since the Console does cause the admin server to talk to the managed servers, these two things might be related. Maybe you've got some kind of network/DNS lag that could be eliminated.

  • SQL Server 2012 stops running after setup files are copied.

    SQL Server 2012 setup stops running after setup files are copied.
    I've experiencing the same issue on two different machines. Both are 64 bit running Server 2008.
    On both of them I tried installing using the files from the ISO. I initially used winzip to extract the files. The setup was running fine, but the SQL Server engine had an error when it installed. Then using the Add/Remove programs i uninstalled all of the
    SQL Server 2012 applications, including the setup files.
    Now when i try to install using the "New SQL Server stand-alone..." wizard it will copy the setup files and then the wizard never comes back. I've tried mounting the ISO, extracting with winrar, Burning the ISO to a dvd and downloading the 3 files. I also
    tried mounting ISO of the version that was just recently released. I run into the same issue with all of them.
    Thanks for the help.

    can you try
     setup.exe
    /Action=install /x86 /UpdateEnabled=false
    If this doesn't work please use below FAQ to locate and upload SQL Server setup logss.

  • Iphone 4 error message while in wifi "safari can not open page because server stopped responding" after iOS6 update

    I am currently using my Iphone 4 in wifi networks only after canceling my cell phone plan. Over the weekend I did the IOS6 update on the iphone as well as updated my macbooks itunes and OS X operating systems updates that were available.  Since that my iphone's safara app won't connect.  After it trys to connect for a minute or 2 I recieve the message: "safari can not open page because server stopped responding".  However ALL other apps that require the phone to be connected to wifi for use work properly, i.e app store, imessage, pinger, facebook, etc.  I have checked all network setting and they looked right to me.  Anything I'm missing, ideas to try, or am I sol (lol)?  Safari worked perfectly before the update so I thought I might have done something wrong or forgot to change some type of setting.
    Thank you!

    If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier.  You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

  • Data services stop working after updating to new OS version for Q10

    I am from Qatar, after i updated my device ( Q10 SNQ100-3 ) to new OS ( 10.2.1.537 ), the mobile data services stopped working, but it works everytime I connect to wifi. This is the same with Z10. Please need help.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
    Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • SAP2.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer Bussiness Obj Server Stop Running

    The server 'SAP2.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer'stops running every a couple of days.
    Our problem is that we cannot realize why the above is happening. We searched for an SAP note but could not find anyone relating to the problem described above.
    As a result we would like to have your opinion on what is causing the server to stop running and how to overcome the problem.

    In our case this happens everyday. This is really a burning issue. We have reported this to SAP support and they advised us to upgrade the product version to BOXI3.1 SP2 which has a better memory management mechanism. But we are still facing the problem. what we have done is to have multiple webi processing servers and regularly monitoring them. Still no idea why this happens.

  • Java server showing recieved messages after client disconnects?

    I just found a MMORPG creation software, but it was too limited for me to do what I wanted. So not, here I am, and I want to make my own server. I decided Java would be the best for this because of its easy thread creation.
    Now I have some simple test code that doesn't work like I would think it should. I made a simple client in Flash Player 9 which can send messages to my server. My server is supposed to recieve the messages as they come, and System.out.println them immediately. However, my server only prints the messages recieved after the client shuts down the socket.
    Here is the code for the server, it is very simple, and just a test:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    public class ServerMgr
         public static void main(String[] args)
              ServerSocket servsock;
              Socket s;
              BufferedReader in;
              try
                   servsock = new ServerSocket(4444);
                   s = servsock.accept();
                   System.out.println("Accepted Connection!");
                   in = new BufferedReader(
                             new InputStreamReader(s.getInputStream()));
                   String input = "";
                   while((input = in.readLine()) != "stop")
                        if(input != null)
                             System.out.println(input);
                        if(input == "stop")
                             break;
                   in.close();
                   s.close();
                   servsock.close();
              catch(IOException e)
    }Thanks in advance for any help.

    Since you are reading lines in your server you must make sure your client sends lines i.e. text is terminate by \n or \r\n.
    P.S. Exception handling like yours is considered criminal by me and many others.

  • Data discarded after client disconnect

    Hello!
    I have to say sorry right from the start, maybe my question is stupid but i can't solve this problem
    I am a student and a beginner in Oracle database! I use oracle at school, and i have to work for my project at home so i had to install and configure oracle on my laptop.
    I think i managed the first part, but i think i miss configured something.
    HERE IS MY PROBLEM:
    I use SQL PLUS.
    I am inserting new rows (in any table), and when quit the client, the data (the rows inserted) are not saved into the table.
    After relaunching the SQL Plus client and do an select * from table i get
    no rows selected
    I can't see any data from my .NET application (using oracle provider).
    Please help
    Thanx in advance

    This is a client question rather than an Oracle question. That is, if you want to do it in .NET you need to ask people who understand that language. There is a OTN forum dedicated to OPDP .NET ODP.NET.
    The SQL*PLus behaviour is, if you type EXIT at the SQL> prompt it will commit your chnages for you. If you exit SQL*Plus by clicking on the X widget or just crashing the browser it will rollback the changes. The principle being, if the clinet abends how does the database know that it was a coherent transaction? So the ACID principles kick in. Whereas, typing EXIT is not an abend, so the database can commit your work.
    Cheers, APC

    When a new client subscribes to the channel, a new thread is created. The problem is that when the client has disconnected, the thread remains and will remain not being used (as in a pooling sort of fashion) by future clients. I believe the problem is that, although the client was disconnected, the session never ends?
    If this is the case, shouldn't invalidate-session-on-disconnect enable this? What steps are needed to make sure a thread/session dies when the client is disconnected (by idle or call)?
    I understand the a session might have multiple channels it is subscribed to, so the idea that one channel can cause a session disconnect is a bit strange (and maybe this is where things fall apart).

    The invalidate-session-on-disconnect property comes into effect only when you explicly send a disconnect message to the server. Consider calling channelset.disconnectAll() explicitly from your client. The documentation describes how it can be done.

  • Server Stops Responding to Clients

    This may be an item better suited for networking, but I'm just not sure.
    I have a relatively new OS X Server running on a G5 Dual processor with several Gig of RAM. It functions as a file server, and only AFP and Windows File Sharing on the only services running under Server Admin.
    The problem I run in to is that more and more frequently, the server simply stops responding to the network requests for data from volumes. I can't connect via ARD either. It's become something that will happen mutliple times some days. The only resolution currently is to restart the server.
    I've done Permission repairs from a Boot CD, and I've removed a data drive that isn't in use yet. I'm having trouble trying to pin down where this issue is coming from so I can get it sorted out.
    Where should I be looking for the source of this problem?
    OS X Server 10.4.6
    Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5
    2 BG DDR2 SDRAM
    Thanks.
    PowerBook G4 17   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   1.5G RAM

    If DNS is not running, you're begging for trouble. OS X server, particularly 10.4.x, will run without DNS services enabled, but there are functions that require DNS services to be running. It may work for a while, but you'll run into issues.

  • DI Server stopped working after automatic Windows Server 2003 update

    One of my customers is running SBO 2005A SP1 PL22 in Windows 2003 Server environment.
    They are also using DI Server as an integration tool. On September 11, DI Server suddenly stopped working. They just get the notorious -1 / Could not commit transaction error message on each login attempt. I have tried all the usual and unusual quick fixes to resolve the issue, but nothing seems to help.
    To make things odd, I was successful a couple of times when I experimented with different login messages. For instance, if I omitted the <language> and <licenseserver> elements from the message, I was able to get through once. However, a new attempt with the exact same message failed again. Thus the DI Server is not completely down, it's just in some kind of limp mode.
    I checked what had changed that night and I realized that there had been huge automatic Windows updates on the evening of September 10, 2009. There was IE8, .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and a huge array of security etc patches that had been automatically installed. I'm pretty confident that one of these is the cause of the problem. However, I would hate to blindly roll all those updates back.
    Is there anyone out there who's had this same problem and possibly found a cure ?
    As the customer is running a version that's no longer supported, no support can be expected from SAP. They will just tell us to upgrade to 2007 before any further help is given. Weill, it seems that people out here in the SDN usually have a much better knowledge about the product than SAP does

    Hi Gordon,
    Is DI Server really using some version of the .NET framework? If so, do you know which one ?
    Best Regards,

  • JMS server needs restart after client app restarts

    Hello everyone,
              I have a client who has two domains - one for JMS and one for client (web service in this case). They are noticing that when the client domain is restarted (for various reasons), the client can make one, and only one, call to the JMS server. After that first call, the topic appears inactive from within the Weblogic console, however the console reports that there are no messages pending. So what happened? there is no error on the side of the client. Client just states that the message was submitted, but no response.
              They are using durable subsribers.
              So the question is, why, after a restart of the client domain, does a query to the JMS topic only work once?
              The workaround we have right now is to restart the domain hosting JMS and everything is fine.
              Thank you
              Chris

    Hello Tom,
              To answer your questions:
              1. SOAP over HTTP
              2. The Web Service has a web method that instantiates a listener that is also a Durable Subscriber - that is all I know for now, I can get more details on this.
              3. Client and Server are same version, WLS 10.0.0
              4. There are no exceptions generated whatsoever. I was monitoring the console. After the 2nd call (which there is no response it appears), the ClientID inside WL console is "Failed". And there are no pending messages in the topic. According to the console, all messages had been processed.
              I'm wondering why the ClientID shows up as failed (no error messages though). If we restart the JMS domain, the ClientIDs show up as Active.
              Thanks
              Chris

  • Isight stop recording after monitor disconnected

    I am working on a new intel mac mini with an isight attached. We are using the mac and iSight as parts of a search and rescue robot project and we ran into some difficulties when yesterday. We wanted to get some video feed from the robots perspective (via the iSight), so we used iMovie to record everything... unplugged the monitor and went about our testing. After we hooked everything back up we realized that nothing was recorded after the point we unplugged the monitor. After testing this theory we were able to confirm it. I was curious if this a setting issue with the iSight, or is this going to be a problem w/ iMovie or the Mac Mini?

     I am not certain that I can help you, but here are my best suggestions for your consideration.I am working on a new intel mac mini with an isight attached.Yet your posted system info says you have a Powerbook Ti 800mhz that uses Mac OS X (10.2.x). If you are using both Macs in some connected way, you may also have networking issues that I do not address below. If your Macs are connected, I suggest you check the Mac OS X > Networking Discussions if you do not get your problem otherwise resolved.
    You can test your iSight to ensure it is functional.
    If iSight works with any Apple software, your problem is likely a software question. You might find better help in Mac mini Discussions, PowerBook G4 (15-inch Titanium) Discussions, or in the iMovie Discussions area for the iMovie version you use.
    If you are connecting more than one monitor, one other possibility is that your problem may be related to mirrored monitor or extended desktop settings. Search your Mac's Finder > Help > Mac Help for "mirror monitor" (without the quotation marks) for more info.
    Finally, although you sound like an experience Mac user who has tested your problem thoroughly, you might consider whether your problem could be coincidental to but not resultant of disconnecting your monitor. Some users report that, when recording with an iSight, iMovie freezes after various intervals predictable for, but peculiar to, their systems. There seems to be a wide variation in how long recording can be done before the freeze occurs. In "freeze" cases, the sound continues to be recorded, but the saved image goes black and stays so for the duration of the recording. If you can repeat your failure without disconnecting the monitor, and if your saved video goes black although audio continues to be recorded, suspect the iMovie Freeze. Here are some suggestions that have helped other users resolve the iMovie Freeze:• Be sure you have NO unnecessary apps running while you are recording.
    • If you are using FileVault, try turning that off. There are known issues with FileVault and iMovie.
    • If you are booting from an external drive, try booting from your internal drive when you want to use iSight with iMovie to see if works acceptably that way.
    • You can make very short clips and edit them together in iMovie.
    • Try adding light. Improving Your iSight's Picture
    • Although I do not know any that yield better results, there are other video clip capture apps included in Some Applications You Can Use With iSight.
    • For more specific iMovie help, you may also want to check out the FAQs and posts about freezes in the iMovie Discussions area applicable to the version you use.Perhaps one of these workarounds can help you accomplish your desired outcome, even if you cannot attain it via your preferred methodology.
    Please let us know if you find a satisfactory solution.
    Cheers,
    Jim
