Hello,
Plz tell me how can we identify the ECC tables on which our BW Data Source is based??
I require the table names for DS 2LIS_11_VAITM & 2LIS_13_VDITM
Plz. help me out..

To find out which tables and fields arise from a datasource, do the following. (For example, 2LIS_11_VAITM datasource).
Transaction SBIW >>> Postprocessing of DataSources,Edit and find your DataSource. You will see the R/3 fields withing your datasource (which should also be in your extract structure).
If you wish to know which tables these fields come from, do the following.
Transaction LBWE. (LO Data Extraction Customising Cockpit). If your Datasource is 2LIS_11_VAITM, for example, go to section 11 (11:SD Sales). Select correct extract structure for your chosen DataSource. Click on 'Maintenance'. You will now get a window with two tables. The left table shows you the selected Datasource with the fields that exist in the daatsource.

    I guess you need to change DB Table name and apply that changes to ADF project,If i correct you have to synchronize relevant EOs.
    (Right click on Relevant EO --> select Synchronize with Databases...)

  • Create data source -- table does not exist in data dict.

    Hello Experts,
    I'd like some suggestion on creating customized data source in SAP R/3.
    First, I created a program for extracting data in to a structure layout and then created an InfoSet to link with that program.
    Finally, I chose to create a data source for transaction data using "Extraction from Query".
    Once I save the datasource, there was a message like "Table SY does not exist in data dictionary."
    I checked that program and InfoSet. I did not found any compile error.
    I wonder how I could investigate this kind of error.
    I tried to create another InfoSet calling other program and then create a datasource. There was no error.
    My first assumption was there is something wrong in the program.
    Any suggestion on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your suggestion Pravin.
    However, I found the problem already. This is because the package assigned to a program and to a structure layout were different. After I reassigned the correct package name to the structure layout (same package name as assigned to the program), my datasource could be created.
    This problem has been resolved.

  • Data source table in bw

    hi, guys,
    I would like to know which table save info about data source from R/3 system. RSOLTPSOURCE is the replication table for DataSources in BW, but I could not find the data source if it was migrated.
    e.g: I activated 0FI_GL_4 and migrated to 7.0 version from 3.x version, then I could not find 0FI_GL_4 in RSOLTPSOURCE. Is there database table to save info about migrated data source?

    To know which datasources are available in each version:
    - 3.x table rsoltpsource (version D)
    - 7.0 table rsds (version D)
    The presence of the value in table RSDS is the proof that the datasource is in version 7.x.

    Hi Gaurav,
    The format shown in the PSA is the internal format by which System stores.
    So, as per standard BI the system stores as YYYYMMDD for the date. So, the same format is shown in PSA.
    PSA is the RAW table. where you can see RAW data without any formatted type.
    when you can load the data into cube/ods then you can see the data in the normal format like DD.MM.YYYY.

    Go to RSA5 Tcode in R/3, under SAP R/3 Application component, you can get PO/PS Components, and under that you can get PO-IO/PS-IO Components, here you can check all the vaialble master data datasources.

  • How to bind the data from my data source table to my jsp action form

    I am doing one small application in that i need to bind my data to the database table, that means if i enter any data in my action form fields then it should get appended at database. I have done the binding but it is not appending to the database table. May be i didnt bind the data properly, can anyone help me out in solving this problem.   • Multiple Data Sources In One Logical Table

    I am new to OBIEE and I have came accross an issue. I appologize if this information is in the forum somewhere but I have searched and cannot find it.
    My situation is that I would like to have one logical table that contains multiple data sources which have all the same columns. I already have session variables setup to differentiate the user's security through a row-wise variable for a specific column and a session variable for another column which determines the user's association to the data source in which they belong to. This security works well when the data sources are seperated in the Business Model and Mapping portion but the issue that arises is that the user's cannot share reports when the data sources are seperated in the BM&M.
    I have dragged and dropped a table from the Physical model to the BM&M, I then dragged the second data source (with same meta data structure) over to the "Sources" folder in the first data source table in the BM&M. On the Content tab or each data source table I have defined the WHERE clause as such, where VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."SCHOOL") session variable is my row-wise column filter and the VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."GROUP") filter is my data source determinative:
    sandbox."".SANDBOX.OBIEE_CROSS_ENROLLMENTS.HOME_SCHOOL = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."SCHOOL") AND sandbox."".SANDBOX.OBIEE_CROSS_ENROLLMENTS.DATA_SOURCE = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."GROUP")
    Unfortunatley this only returns values in the BI Answers for the first drag and drop Pysical table in the BM&M layer and not the second Physical table drug into the "Sources" folder. I have also tried to create a new logical table and drag both tables into the "Sources" folder to no avail. I have experimented with the Fragmentation content on the "Content" tab of the seperate logical tables, checking the "This source should be combined with other sources at this level", which gives me an error in BI Answers that a column does not exist which really does.
    What could I be missing? Advanced thanks to those who reply.

    Thank you for the article link. That was very helpful! It seems that I had a few things off as you do need the "This source should be combined with other sources at this level." checked. In my two table source columns for DATA_SOURCE I defined a literal ('086496' and '085597' for the other) in the Column Mapping tab. I pasted the following in the Fragmentation content, checking the "This source..." box on the Content tab:
    eSIS.SANDBOX4_SCHOOLS.DATA_SOURCE = '086496'
    And pasted the following into the WHERE clause, checking "Select distinct values" on the Content tab:
    sandbox4."".OBIEE.NWOCA_SCHOOLS.SCHOOL_CODE = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."SCHOOL") AND sandbox4."".OBIEE.NWOCA_SCHOOLS.DATA_SOURCE = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."GROUP")
    This took care of my user's security, utilizing the session variables in the WHERE clause. I am now able to generate reports that only one user can access from one data source and share that same report with another user who can only see data from the other data source.

  • Pivot table data source keeps referring to old file name

    Hi,
    I am using Excel 2013 on Windows 8
    I create a table, and insert a pivot table that use this table as data source
    I close the excel and rename the file from "myfile.xlsx" to "newfile.xlsx, and then open it again
    When trying to refresh my Pivot Table, I get the following Error:
    "We couldn't get the data from 'Table1' in the workbook 'C:\myfile.xlsx' Open this workbook in Excel and try again."
    i.e. it is still looking for table using the old file name.
    I need to update the file every week, so having to manually go back and change source file name for every pivot is very time consuming and painful for me :-(
    Please investigate and advise how to fix this ?

    Based on my tested in my environment (Window 8.1 & Excel 2013), the error message pop up when a pivot table using an external data source. If you use the table as external data source, pivot table uses OLEDB to connect it, it'll refresh failed after
    you changed the file name. It's by design.
    Then, we may try the two workaround to avoid it:
    1) Keep the data source table and pivot table in the same file.
    2) Add the table to a connection, steps:
    Click Data tab>Connection> Add> Browse more> Choose the file.
    Please try to change in new file in property before you refresh the Pivot table.

  • PowerView - 1 Workbook; 2 Data Sources(one linked to SQL and one a table inside excel); Both have same data set but Counts are Different

    Hi Everyone,
    Hopefully someone might have an explanation for the difference in counts.
    Problem:
    Excel 2013 on Windows 7
    A Single excel spreadsheet with 2 data sources: 
    One created using "From Other Sources on the DATA tab which connects to SQL Server"
    Second data source the same data as item 1, but in a differnet worksheet tab inside the workbook
    [Sheet1] - Other SQL data Source
    [Sheet2] - Exact Same data as Sheet1 but in a table
    [PowerView] - 2 tables
    Table one uses Sheet1 as its table data source
    Table two uses Sheet2 as its table data source
    When you Count(Not Blank) using the same criteria and fields for each table, the numbers dont match.
    The one that has the incorrect count is when I use the Table data from [Sheet1] - which is the Other SQL Data Source
    Testing:
    I also created a standard pivot table using Excel and the counts then are both correct for both datasources.  So it must be something in PowerView????

  • Question on Dynamic Query Data Source and Form Folders in Oracle Forms 6i

    Hi there -
    I have one interesting requirement in Oracle Forms.
    This is what I wanted to do.
    1. Have a LOV and Go button on Form.
    2. From LOV, I will select a pre-defined custom table and click Go.
    3. Based on the selected custom table, I have to populate the Block (Tabular Format).
    4. User should be able to do update, delete, insert on this block.
    5. User should be able to use the Oracle Form folders functionality (select only necessary column and save views etc. Std folder functionality).
    6. If user selects a different custom table name in the LOV on top, I need to refresh the data from the block based on this new table. Remaining functionality should be as it is (steps 3 to 5).
    You can see here, I am going to have dynamic query data source (Table Name as well as column mapping) on the block. I do not know before hand how many columns the user selected table has!
    This is what I have planned for this so far but I have some major questions before I can move on with this design:
    1. I am going to create a table structure with fixed number of column in form (40 cols assuming that the custom table will not have more that 40 cols). (Kind of limitation but it's okay as of now).
    2. Dynamically populate the block based on the table name selected by the user from LOV. Dynamically change the table column names based on the table selected etc.
    3. Perform insert, update, delete using PL/SQL package.
    So far it looks okay.
    Now my real question is,
    Can user still be able to user "Folders" functionality here? I have never done this kind of development before and I doubt the dynamic column naming, dynamic column data source will really work for "folders"!
    Also, I am not really sure whether user will be able to save these "folder" queries?
    Okay so form experts, can you ppl suggest me if this is really going to work? Are there any better ways to do this?
    Initially I tried to do this in OA Framework but I got stuck at because as per OAF developer guide "I cannot user OAF personalization for dynamic items, regions etc".
