Database Adapter: Selecting all data from table

Hi All
I am new to SOA Suite and I am using Soa Suite version 10.1.3.1 and Jdev version 10.1.3.3. It is required to select data from one database using the database adapter and insert it in a table in another database. I implemented the flow using DBadapters select operation the problem is everytime I am running the instance it transfers only one row though no condition has been specified on the select. Could anyone please help me out and let me know how to transfer a complete table from one database to another using DBadapters and in a single instance.

Selecting all columns from table in a model query

I have written a model query which joins 4 tables, applies some rules and returns updated rows by selecting 4 columns out of this. Currently it works fine because all 4 columns are from MODEL aliases. Now I need to select 16 more columns in the same query but none of these columns is added in MODEL aliases. When I tried selecting these columns I got oracle error ORA - 32614. Can someone please guide me to include these columns in the same model query?
I tried couple of options but no luck. Here are those options for ready reference:
1. I cannot nest existing model query into another select because there are no columns avaiable to join in output of current query to map with other records.
2. I cannot include all 16 columns in MODEL aliases because some of these columns are actually output of user defined functions.
I am using Oracle database version 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0.

Thank you Avijit for your reply. There is a syntax error on the ON in this part of the statement which I don't know how to fix - I tried messing around with another INNER JOIN but am not confident that I'm doing the right thing:

So my below select statement should always give me sy-subrc = 0.

But it is giving sy-subrc = 4.So it satisfies the if statement and what ever the code part is there in ifu2026endif that is executed.
My requirement is if lv-assetclass is 00110000 or 00110030 or inbetween these two values 00110020 for all the sy-subrc = 0.Even 00120000 should also give me sy-subrc 0 as 6th line is having entry 00110000     00130000 and 00120000 is coming under this.it should give me Sy-subrc = 0 when I put lv-assetclass as 00110000 also.
Can any one help me out in his select statement.

Create a trigger to copy data from table A to table B

Hi,
I been trying with no success to create a trigger on table a , so when the user update or delete or insert data on that table, I would like to copy all data from table a to table b BEFORE, the statement execute, I am using Oracle database 10g XE. It's URGENT and I would appreciate any quick response.

Why? You are not giving us a problem to look at, analyse, and assist with - you are giving us a solution. That solution says "backup table before changes are made".
This solution sounds very strange in the context of a RDBMS. Even stranger when dealing with relational design as one would use date and time to keep track of how data is changing.
This, and your implementation of the solution (using triggers and DDL inside it!), makes me question whether this solution is indeed at all a solution. I see flaws and problems all the way.
What happens if two users inserts at the same time into table A? Two truncates will be fired on table B. Then the entire contents of A (and not the changes) inserted into table B? Ridiculous...
Thus from my point of view, looking at what you have presented to the forum in this thread, you do not seem to have any grasp on how to correctly use a RDBMS, never mind use Oracle.
Ignorance is not a problem. It is fairly easily curable. Which is why I referred you to the manuals.
Alternatively, instead of asking the forum how to make a flawed solution works, how about instead telling us the actual problem you are trying to solve?

Select data from table where field is initial

I have table that has 10 million records.
I want to select data from this table where certain date field is blank.

Does anybody know how to select data from data base table when certain field is blank.
I cont select all data once and delete which i dont want, the table is big, it will blow up app server.

Do you really have a column named "DATE"? That is a reserved word in Oracle-- you cannot (easily) use it as a column name

Yes , it is possible..unless the current user has the right privileges on others' db objects schema.
Now , as regards the syntax....
1) The more descriptive way is to use the format ... <owner_schema>.<obj_name>.
2) If you have declared public synonyms of other schema's objects then you can refer to them as just <obj.name>.... but the <owner_schema>.<obj_name> is not wrong.
3) If the db objects reside on another database you must have declared a db link.... then the syntax is <owner_schema>.<obj_name>@<db_link_name>.

Select data from table not in another table

Hi,
I want to select data from table A which is not in table B.
Currently I am doing:
select
snoA,
nameA,
dobA
from A
where snoA not in
(select snoB from A, B
where snoA = snoB
and nameA = nameB)
But above is very slow.
Can I do something like:
select
snoA,
nameA,
dobA
from A, B
where
EXCLUDE ( snoA = snoB and nameA = nameB)
Please note that I need the where condition on both the columns.

What is "very slow"?
What version of Oracle?
What is the query plan?
Without knowing anything about your system, my first thought would be to see if a NOT EXISTS happened to be faster for your data

FROM a
WHERE snoA NOT IN (
    SELECT snoB
      FROM b
     WHERE a.snoA = b.snoB
       AND a.nameA = b.nameB )That should be more efficient than the original query. The NOT EXISTS version may or may not be more efficient than the NOT IN depending on data volumes.

I need help writing an SQL to select max date from a table with multiple records.
Here's the scenario. There are multiple SA_IDs repeated with various EFFDT (dates). I want to retrieve the most recent effective date so that the SA_ID is unique. Looks simple, but I can't figure this out. Please help.
