Database object is inconsistent: (Primary index)

Hi All ,
I'm getting this "Database object is inconsistent: (Primary index)" when I run database consistency check on one of my z table and some how due to this problem program is able to insert duplicate entries in the table.
Can some one help ?
Regards ,
Laeeq

I'm getting this when I'm checking the consistency and I ran SE14 as well , I deleted the database table and created it again .. but the problem is still there ..

Laeeq.

  • Is the only way to import large amount of data and database objects into a primary database is to shutdown the standby, turn off archive log mode, do the import, then rebuild the standby?

I have a primary database that need to import large amount of data and database objects. 1.) Do I shutdown the standby? 2.) Turn off archive log mode? 3.) Perform the import? 4.) Rebuild the standby? or is there a better way or best practice?

Instead of rebuilding the (whole) standby, you take an incremental (from SCN) backup from the Primary and restore it on the Standby.  That way, if, for example
    a. Only two out of 12 tablespaces are affected by the import, the incremental backup would effectively be only the blocks changed in those two tablespaces (and some other changes in system and undo) {provided that there are no other changes in the other ten tablespaces}
    b. if the size of the import is only 15% of the database, the incremental backup to restore to the standby is small

  • Primary index does not exist in database but shows in SE14?

I added a couple of key fields to a Z table and activated it. Every thing went well - adjusted it with SE14 also.
When I checked the Runtime object - it is OK.
When I checked Database Object, it is showing that the Primary Index does not exist in Database but SE14 says that the Priamry Index exists in Database.
Please advise how to correct this. I saw another psoting when I searched per this error message: "Indexes: Inconsistent with DDIC source" . It tells to create this index at Database but need to know the steps.
    pl advise.

    hi,
To create a index for a table,
go to se11->click on Indexes tab and create  a primary index.
Indexes speed up data selection from the database. They consist of selected fields of a table, of which a copy is then made in sorted order. If you specify the index fields correctly in a condition in the WHERE or HAVING clause, the system only searches part of the index (index range scan).
The system automatically creates the primary index. It consists of the primary key fields of the database table. This means that for each combination of fields in the index, there is a maximum of one line in the table. This kind of index is also known as UNIQUE.
If you cannot use the primary index to determine the result set because, for example, none of the primary index fields occur in the WHERE or HAVINGclauses, the system searches through the entire table (full table scan). For this case, you can create secondary indexes, which can restrict the number of table entries searched to form the result set.
You create secondary indexes using the ABAP Dictionary. There you can create its columns and define it as UNIQUE.
    reward points if useful.

  • Database objects Tables, Views, Indexes not expand in Connections navigator

In SQL Developer tool when I clicked on any database object: Tables, Views, Indexes, Packages, Procedures, Functions, and Triggers none of them expands in Connections navigator so I am not able to see all tables, Views, Indexes in this schema objects.
    Please advise
    Thanks a lot

If the user you're connecting with is not the owner of the objects, you can access them through the Other Users node.
    Hope that helps,

  • Could not allocate space for object temporary system object: ... in database 'tempdb' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.

Using SQL Server 2008 R2. Tempdb resides on disks W and X
both of those are 250 GB each. Nothing else resides on these disks. The recovery mode for tempdb is set to Simple and is split in 8 files and one log file. Each of the tempdb file is set for auto growth by 128 MB and max size is unlimited. The log file is
set for auto growth by 10% and max size unlimited.
I get the following error at least once a week while running an ETL:
[SQLSTATE 01003] (Message 8153) Could not allocate space for object '<temporary system object: 335532118192937>' in database 'tempdb' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup,
adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 50000). The step failed.
I have to then shrink the tempdb log and files to create space on the disks.
What is a permanent solution to this problem, I don't want my ETL to break due to TempDB diskspace full.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Permanent solution would be finding out query which is causing tempdb log file to grow out of proportion and fill it and I would like you to take help of below article
Troubleshooting out of space issue in Tempdb
Please change Autogrowth value for Log file from 10 % to may be 100 M. This is just a tentative value you need to study
growth of tempdb to reach to correct value. You kept 128 MB autogrowth for tempdb data file is this value tentative or you just put it.
Below article can be referred for tempdb details

    Dear Experts,
I have created a ztable and transported it to production server. But in Production server the primary index is missing. When i checked in it in development and quality server it exist there but not in production. I have tried to activate through SE14 but it is not activating . Can you please suggest a procedure to activate it. Waiting for your suggestion.

  • Creation of primary index

    Dear experts,
A standard sap table does not have primary key index. I assume there was a problem with installation.
Please let me know if there is a way to create the primary index? BDCP~0? Can I do it the same way as I would if I created another index?
    Thank you in advance,
    Roxani

    Hi,
The primary key index will create the system. .
The BDCP table contains the primary index "BDCP~0"
We can view the primary index in the following way
    Tcode :  se11 --> table name (ex:BDCP) --> Display --> Utilities --> Database Object -->
Database Utility (Click on) --> Extras --> Databse objects --> Display (click on)  here we can find the table fields and Primary index.
If you want to create a Secondry indexes,
Click on Indexes --> Click on Create --> Creare indexe --> give the index name -> hit the enter --> give the shart description and field name (on which field you want to create Secondary index) --> Save --> Check --> Activate.
    Thank you,
    Sekhar.

  • Difference between primary key and primary index

    Dear All,
Hi... .Could you pls tell me the difference between primary key and primary index.
    Thanks...

    Hi,
Primary Key : It is one which makes an entry of the field unique. No two distinct rows in a table can have the same value (or combination of values) in those columns.
Eg: first entry is 111, if you again enter value 111 , it doesnot allow 111 again. similarly for the strings or characters or numc etc. Remember that for char or numc or string 'NAME' is not equal to 'name'.
Primary Index: this is related to the performance .A database index is a data structure that improves the speed of operations in a table. Indices can be created using one or more columns, providing the basis for both rapid random lookups and efficient ordering of access to records. The disk space required to store the index is typically less than the storage of the table (since indices usually contain only the key-fields according to which the table is to be arranged, and excludes all the other details in the table), yielding the possibility to store indices into memory from tables that would not fit into it. In a relational database an index is a copy of part of a table. Some databases extend the power of indexing by allowing indices to be created on functions or expressions. For example, an index could be created on upper(last_name), which would only store the uppercase versions of the last_name field in the index.
In a database , we may have a large number of records. At the time of retrieving data from the database based on a condition , it is a burden to the db server. so whenever we create a primary key , a primary index is automatically created by the system.
If you want to maintain indices on other fields which are frequently used in where condition then you can create secondary indices.
    Reward points if helpful.
    Thanks,
    Sirisha..

  • BizTalk 2006 Event Log Warnings - Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dta_MessageFieldValues' with unique index 'IX_MessageFieldValues'.

We have been seeing the following 'warnings' in the event log of our BizTalk machine since upgrading to BTS 2006. They seem to occur randomly 6 or 8 times per day.
Does anyone know what this means and what needs to be done to clear it up? we have only one BizTalk server which is running on only one machine.
I am new to BizTalk, so I am unable to find how many tracking host instances running for BizTalk server. Also, can you please let me know that we can configure only one instance for one server/machine?
    Source: BAM EventBus Service
    Event: 5
Warning Details: Execute batch error. Exception information: TDDS failed to batch execution of streams. SQLServer: bizprod, Database: BizTalkDTADb.Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dta_MessageFieldValues'
with unique index 'IX_MessageFieldValues'. The statement has been terminated..

Other than ensuring that there exists a separate and single tracking host instance, you're getting an error about duplicate keys.. which implies that you're trying to Create a BAM Activity twice with the same data.
I suggest you have a in-depth examination of the BAM (TPE or API) associated with the orchestration. In TPE ensure that the first binding you select is the "Instance Id" or "Message Id" before going ahead to map the ports or others.

  • JDev 10g: Problem when generating database objects from UML diagram

    Hi,
    I have noticed following problem.
I made some business components through UML diagrammer in 9.0.3. From the diagram I generated database objects. It worked fine.
When I doing the same thing in 10g, the generation fails on several tables with the message that the "identifier is too long".
Looking at the SQL produced in one of the failing tables. In 9.0.3 following is produced:
    create table sfs_document_def (
id number constraint document_definition_id_check not null,
caption varchar2(100) constraint document_definition_caption_ch not null,
    index1 number,
owner_type number constraint document_definition_owner_type not null
    alter table sfs_document_def add (constraint documentdefinition_primary_key primary key (id));
And in 10g following is produced:
    create table sfs_document_def (
    id number,
caption varchar2(100) constraint sfs_document_def_caption_check not null,
    index1 number,
owner_type number constraint sfs_document_def_owner_type_ch not null
    alter table sfs_document_def add ( constraint documentdefinition_primary_key primary key (id));
    alter table sfs_document_def add ( constraint document_definition_id_check check ("id" is not null));
    alter table sfs_document_def add ( constraint sfs_document_def_caption_check_10 check ("caption" is not null));
    alter table sfs_document_def add ( constraint sfs_document_def_owner_type_ch_10 check ("owner_type" is not null));
It seems that column that are set not to be null in 10 g first get a constraint creating the table and then when altering the table. Furthermore, notice that the name of the second constraint is longer than 30 chars, which is reason to the error when creating the tables.

Thanks for reporting the issue. I have managed to reproduce your problem and logged a bug to get the problem fixed.
    Thanks,

  • JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[33 ]!!!

Hi all, I have a huge problem...
I have two tables in a parent - child relationship. Each has it's own entity and view object with appropriate associations and links. The parent table has an insert trigger which inserts default rows into the child table when a new parent row is created.
Even in the application module tester (not to mention the equivalent .jspx)
    this error goes off :
oracle.jbo.TooManyObjectsException: JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[35 ].
Sometimes, I couldn't figure out what makes the difference, the tester inserts the detail records just fine when inserting the master, but never from the page!!!
How do I get around this problem?? I'm clueless.
Any suggestions welcome. I'm desperate at this stage!
A lots'a work will be lost (packages and triggers on the server...:((( if there's no solution.
Thanx for yr help in advance, Ildiko

looks like Database trigger causes "TooManyObjectsException JBO-25013" in view object

  • JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[0 ].

    Hi All,
I saw all the threads pertaining to this problem but couldn't find a proper solution.
I m also facing the same problem. I have 2 view objects VIEW_A and VIEW_B. Both the view objects are created on the single entity objects independently. When I try to insert a row in VIEW_A, no error comes and all the input fields of the form are empty as it should be. But when I try to insert a row in VIEW_B, the form fields display the first row of database table automatically and giving the error as Error
JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[0 ]. ..
I am unable to rectify the problem. why it works fine with one view object and not with other. Plz help. Its urgent...

    Hi,
Many references in metalink relate to this error as a data corruption issue. Maybe you should check the data from the back end, from the corresponding tables , with the one you see in the application . I'm no expert in DB,but suggest you take the help of a DBA.

  • Primary Index to create

    Hi Experts,
In BW 3.5, in DB24 there's a missing_index warning for a transparent table /BIC/Fxxxx (xxxx is not the name of the infocube)
In SE14, it says thaht this primary index /BIC/Fxxxx-0 must not be created on the database.
First of all, what kind of table is this one ? /BIC/F : partitionned F-Fact table ?
Second, should I create this index or not ?
    Regards,

    Hi again,
    Thanks for your answers.
But so why brconnect sends a missing_index error, and only for this table ? There are other fact tables whitout primary index, and brconnect does not send any error.
    regards,
