Database problem / copy & delete failures

Dear all,
I work with five projects having interrelationships.
1.I had the reflection of a project
2.Reflection project was exported and sent to contractor as xer file.
3.xer file sent by contractor was imported into the reflection project and it was checked ,and it was ok.
4.so source project should have been deleted to eliminate the interrelationships which would not be valid anymore.
5.I tried to delete original project used for reflection (as source) and it could not have been deleted. (error message : PRMDB-3740-2)
6.TO be able to work , I had tried to copy 5 projects which have interrelationships with each other ( project intended to be deleted was not one of them ), copy could have not be completed and failed.
7.but 5 new projects are added to database with exactly the same project id's with the copied ones.
8.I've changed the names the secondary projects and now I'm working on them. But I have doubts if any problem would arise due to incomplete duplication.

actually the process seems same as what I tried, but I work p6v7 and I do not have chance to merge the reflection if it is updated in another database !
If you have suggestions to be able to keep the project as "reflection" after imported the one sent by contractor, I'll try.
on the other hand , error messages are as follows :
PRMDB-3740-2 :
PRM DBAccess Error : Database Server Error : The statement has been terminated.
The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "fk_taskpred_task_2". The conflict occured in database "PMDB_HGMain",table"dbo.TASKPRED", column "pred_task_id".
when I press ignore and try to delete that project again the error message is :
TINAT-2680-D : There is no active transaction.
I'd like to understand the reason of the problem. Because this process will be done for each update !

Hi kono20006000,
Your issue seems really strange. I would recommend you make a troubleshooting.
1.Made sure your code works with the single copy of the database. You could check if it scans hard drive for the database file name and check if it modifies dates on found files. You could check if you operate with the same database.
2. Use the application update the record at the form_load event to see if it would work correctly.
3.Check the table in update statement and the table in add statement.

Very strange bugs - Unexpected end-of-file - LR database problem

I really like the concept and GUI of LR, but bugfixing is urgently needed. Of course I am not happy that I spent money for the current quality of software (Windows version).
Before the problem described below occured I performed some develop actions on several images without any problems.
After doing some simple cropping in the Develop module of LR the display for one single image became brown (in loupe and film strip). The problem is singular for one image.
Then I restarted LR.
Now LR displayed a message saying "Unexpected end-of-file" at top inside the image display. (Has anybody out there ever seen this?)
That message is obviously misleading: The image NEF-file is untouched. The xmp sidecar is new of course. Apparently the database entry is broken!!!
Deleting the xmp sidecar doesn't solve the problem.
Then I told LR to remove the faulty image from the LR database without physically deleting it.
Then I checked database consistency without any problem report.
Then I tried to reconnect the image for that folder.
The image is not reconnected. It doesn't show up in LR.
Then I copied the image outside LR to a new folder and told LR to import the new folder.
The image was not imported by LR. LR is saying it is a duplicate. Obviously it is not removed correctly from the LR database even I told LR to remove it.
After some attempts (sorry I don't remember exactly) I could redisplay the problem image. Now the image is displayed correctly again. But LR is saying in a dialog box that I will be unable to make changes to that image. The grid display has a triangular exclamation sign (not a rectangular one!!!).
Later I told LR to delete (not only remove) the image physically.
Afterwards I copied the image into the OS folder.
Afterwards I was able to reconnect the missing image to the LR folder.
Afterwards I could continue working with the develop module at that image.
BUG 1) Why could this problem occur at all? ("Unexpected end-of-file")
BUG 2) Obviously the image has not been correctly removed from the LR database although I told LR to do this.
No, my disks are not full.
Platform Win XP, latest patch level

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that isn't fully working. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.

Problem in delete adjecent duplicates

Hi All,
i have a problem in delete adjacent duplicate in an internal table .
when i use it i want that the records which are getting doubled to be removed
but i also want that if the value in that field is empty for which i am comparing , to be ignored means i dont want the records
to be deleted in which the field value is empty for which i am comparing.
snippet of my code
delete ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM xkomv COMPARING KSCHL.
so if theere is no value in KSCHL THAT RECORD NOT TO BE DELETED .

Try the following,
"delete ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM xkomv COMPARING KSCHL.
Before using the above statement do the following,
u201C decalare a temporary table for u2018xkomvu2019 say u2018t_xkomvu2019, and copy the data.
Refresh t_xkomv[].
t_xkomv[] = xkomv[].
Delete t_xkomv where KSCHL <> u2018 u2018.
Delete xkomv where KSCHL = u2018 u2018.
u201C Sort xkomv and then use delete adjacent duplicates.
And after this append data from t_xkomv to xkomv.

Exchange 2007 Public Folder Database cannot be deleted

We are in the process of decommissioning exchange 2007 server from 2007 <-> 2013 coexistence.
All user MailboxDatabases have been sucsessfully removed, however PF Mailbox databases return an error.
“The public folder database 'Public Folder Database' cannot be deleted”
Object is read only because it was created by a future version of Exchange: 0.10 (14.0.100.0). Current supported version is 0.1 (8.0.535.0).
I am suspecting the presence for 2 OAB is the reason why we can’t delete Public folder database from 2007 server.

Default and System public folders show up under PF Management Console, however their preview pane on the right says "There are no items to show in this view" for both of them.

Problem of deletion of rows in jtable, table refreshing too

Hi,
I have a table with empty rows in the beginning with some custom properties( columns have fixed width...), later user would be adding to the rows to this table and can delete, I've a problem while deleting the rows from table,
When a selected row is deleted the model is also deleting the data but the table(view) is not refreshed.
Actually i'm selecting a cell of a row, then hitting the delete button.
So the model is deleting the information, but i'm not able to c the fresh data in table( especially when the last cell of last row is selectd and hit the delete button, i am getting lots of exception)

I've got the solution for it. As when the cursor is in cell of
a row and hit the delete button, the data in that cell is not saved,

How to use icons (database, database backup, save, delete etc.) in Oracle f

Hi Everyone,
I am using Oracle forms 5.
I want to use iconic buttons in Oracle forms 5 for database, database backup, save, delete etc.
Example:
Like Oracle Enterprise Manager, a GUI tool, we can see the different icons for different items (icon for database backup, database etc).
How should I get these icons? How should I attach these icons to the buttons/Image item in Oracle Forms ?
Should I give the file path of these icons in property palette of an item in Oracle forms?
If yes, then which property of item, will I use in order to attach the icons?
Please send the solution.
If some one can also send the related icons, I will thankful to him.

WIth regards to attach icons to button/text item in Oracle forms,I am still facing problem.
As you said, I created the parameter/variable UI_ICONS in Forms Home and gave the value pointing to the directory holding the .ico files.
And then set the iconic property of the button and the icon's name without its extension.
But it didn't work.Could ypu please let me know what is going wrong?

Poll Database Adapter Physicial Delete strategy

Guys,
The database adapter should delete the record from table only if the record was processed successfully in esb or BPEL. But as far as i tested it deletes the polled record regardless of success or fault.
Is there any setting that I need to do to force delete only when a successful instance is created.

DB Adapter should participate in transaction, so upon failure it should be rolled back.
Can you make sure you aren't using any MCF properties, and also in your process you don't have any dehydration point (e.g. recv/on-msg)?

Essbase Database Problem

Hi All,
I have Essbase Application (It is a Planning Application) with 5 Databases, Actually there are only 4 databases, even I have checked /Arbor Path/AnalyticServices/app/appname there are four folders with database names but in EAS there are appearing 5 databases, if I try to delete the 5th database it is giving error that Error: 1019038 DB file is missing. Essbase Application itself not starting. Please help me out this.

I have created a folder with 5th database name and copied all the files (otl, tct, db,dbb, and esm files) from other database and simply deleted the 5th database.

Switch database to copy

11.2.0.2
all datafiles in asm under +DATADG
put database in mount mode.
rman
allocate channel c1 as '+BUDATADG'
backup as copy; -- all datafiles are copied to +BUDATADG
switch database to copy; -- database now using the copied datafiles.
Is there an easy way to switch back to the datafiles on +DATADG without doing a full copy back and in effect reversing the steps?
something like "switch database to original"

Just as an FYI: I played with this for a bit and there actually is a way to go back. When you switch to the copy, go to RMAN and do
list copy of database;
and I was surprised to see the original database files as a known copy. I tried to switch back
switch database to copy;
and it failed straight back over to the original files. I played a bit further, as long as in mount mode, it will switch seamlessly between both no problem. Any changes require a "recover database" for it to catch up.

RMAN-06571 after switch database to copy

Hi all,
I rolled forward a physical standby database using RMAN incremental backups as detailed in Oracle support ID **836986*.1* and it all went well until i tried to switch the standby database to copy.
I get the error RMAN-06571 datafile 24 does not have recoverable copy
Now datafile 24 is a datafile created after the scn of the standby database and there's unfortunately no documentation on how to restore this datafile from the backup piece created as part of the incremental backup created from the primary. The oracle document says
*"if any datafiles have been added to primary after scn <n> they will also have to restored to the standby host and cataloged before doing the switch"*
Unfortunately it does not say how this is to be done.
I have tried to restore datafile 24 but even that produces an
RMAN-12008 could not locate backup piece /x/y/piecename
even though the backup piece is in the location /x/y/piecename and has been cataloged via rman. The same backup piece was used to restore the datafiles that existed earlier. i.e. the other 23, successfully so i know it has the datafile i need.
My environment is a 3-node RAC (Primary & Standby). I am really at my wits end.
All help appreciated.

How to copy/delete file

hi,
i need to come out a program, which can copy/delete file from unix directory A to directory B, on the application server.
does any one have any idea how am i going to code the abap program for this?

i am assuming that your Application server is Unix.
unixcommand cp is used to copy the a file from one directory to another.
cp /dir/file1 /dir2/file2
the above command will copy the file1 of dir1 to file2 of dir2.
for delete use the command rm,
rm /dir/fiel1
the above command will remove the file1 from directory dir.
