Database schema for Warehouse and Logistics Systems

I am interested in the database design of Warehouse and Logistics Systems. Does any know whether Oracle has some sample database schema for such systems? Thanks.

Although you have not mentioned the database version,
Does any know whether Oracle has some sample database schema for such systems? Please review the following links;
Using DBCA to Create and Configure a Database
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14196/install003.htm#sthref55
There are vavious types of templates for databases inlcuding data warehouse.
If you check on sample schemas. It will establish sample schemas with Example tablespace within the databse being installed. It is an Oracle recommendation.

  • Invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis

I tried to re-configure the BI core service to a new database
But I get the message "invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis"
The database is a restore of a production backup on a different MSSQL2005 server.
I can not believe its really a sql schema matter.
    Does anyone know whats wrong?

You cannot restore a BI+ database from backup...It is somewehere in the doc. There a re lots of references to the old server and config in the BI+ tables and you d need to edit/remove some files on the file server too. There is a doc available to do that but its far from simple.
Best way is to export the content of your repository, configure a new DB and then reimport the content.
If you re really stuck, drop me an email and ill send you that doc. I think ive still got it.

  • RFC Adapters for EBP and SUS systems

    Hi!
We have Extended Classic Scenario up and running and now configuring SUS integration. We have done SLD configuration already and via TR SLDCHECK (has been executed on SRM server) has seen that XI connection is fine.
Now we have a question whether we need to configure RFC adapters for SUS and EBP systems? If yes, how can we do this?
    Best Regards,
    Siarhei

you need to define RFC connections between SUS and EBP  , only if you want user synchronization between the systems....
connection should be of type --> ABAP CONNECTIONS --> type 3
and this is only optional and not mandatory .
you can find more details at the following customizing entry..
    TRANSACTION SPRO
    --> Supplier Relationship Management --> Supplier Self-Services --> Master Data --->

    Hi all,
I've had the same issue with regards to getting the error below when assigning transactions to a Blueprint business process.
"No system found for component and Evaluation system in the Project"
But I think I have solved it and seems pretty simple to change the system role from Evaluation System to any other that is relevant in your landscape.
Go to transaction SOLAR01 > Click on the first level of the Project Name (Under Business Blueprint Structure) to select the Project.
Click Business Blueprint in the Menu > System Role > Choose the relevant System Role (in my case Development)
    Click Copy
This should replicate to all nodes and then you should be able to assign transaction to the business processes.
Quite strange and seems simple, I checked the Solution Directory, Solar Project Admin etc etc but couldn't find the solution until this which should work.
If not, there is a similar work around which also works.
    Go to transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
    System Landsacpe Tab
    Systems subtab
    Click System Role Assignment
Remove the Evaluation System (or all those not relevant to your Project and Logical Components)
    Save Project
Go to SOLAR01 and it should reflect it in the Blueprint.
You can always go back to this and add the System Roles you removed and the Blueprint will reference the correct Role.
    Hope this helps everyone,
    -Rohan

  • Different SAPlogon screen for prd and dev systems

    Hi!
I would like to distinguish the SAPlogon screen for production and development systems.
For example:i logged into to the SAP system by SAPlogon and i want to see in the right top corner of the screen the letter P or D, etc.
Could you advise me how to do it?
    Thank you!
    Dan

I think this can be done but little difficult.
After installing your sapgui, you have to change the picture in the right corner which you can find inside the folder programfiles-sap-sapgui and can search in the picture. If you replace the picture with your picture, you can find it there. But i dont think it can be done seperately for dev, qual and prod systems.

  • Availability of Win 10 Drivers for *Current* and *New* Systems

I was wondering if there is any timeframe for posting Windows 10 drives for *Current* and *New* Systems. I notice that there are only like 3 drivers posted so far for the X360 laptops. Even the brand new models which come with Windows 10 preinstalled still have only a smattering of drivers posted. Obviously the drivers exist since the system ships with them installed, why can't they be posted for download? I can understand driver availability taking some time for systems that didn't ship with Win 10, but for those systems that ship with Win 10 already loaded shouldn't those drivers be available to your customers on the the very first day of product shipment? In case you are wondering why it matters if it comes preinstalled already, it's because I plan on doing new, clean install of Win 10 Professional. Your systems are shipping with the Home edition. I have an X360 that is still being sold and shipping with 8.1. I would walk into Best Buy today and buy another one that comes with Windows 10, but won't do that until drivers are available so I can do a clean install. Thanks.

  • License for testing and production systems

    Hi Experts
Can any one help me out on implementing license in my B1 System.
According to our contract we have licensed following user types:
    User Type
    Licensed
    AddOn Access License    25
    Professional User                5
Software Development Kit - Development Version 20
We have Test/development system in one hardware and Production system on different hardware. Please advice me how to request/allocate license for my test/development system and production system.
We tried creating a Test System in SAP Market place and requested license for test system. While requesting license for production system, it is found that the license is exceeded. In other words, developent system license also counted.
Please advice me on the best practices of B1 license implementation.
    Thanks and regards
    Ajith G

    Hi,
Our customer wants to Keep the production data secure. Developers and consultants should not have the access to it.
Then you have only two options:
1.Either you should maintain a standalone b1 server for the developers and consultants to test their solutions and scenarios.
2.Otherwise you can create users in sql studio for accessing only the test database.
So that as per your requirement
All configurations and sample data will be kept in a test environment where developers and consultants can do their work.Once everything is correct Admin will do the transfer to production.
Note:New users can be created in the sql studio under Databases-><Company Db>->Security->Users, Rt.click new user

I am gathering the statistics for the full database statement is .
    execute dbms_stats.gather_database_stats(ESTIMATE_PERCENT => 99, CASCADE => TRUE)
I tried to gather the stats on schema but no effect.
No of indexes are same in UAT and Pro.
I am still confuse if we have less data do it change the plan and if it did it should be faster.
Thats the max it got format. is there any other way i can format that or send u.

  • Using SQL Server as a Database sources for Essbase and Planning

I was reading Jake Turrell white Paper on Hyperion Planning "sandbox" enviroment on a laptop and he stated that you can use SQL Server, u guess my question is i have been using oracle 11gr2 is there really any different
    also
is best to build different schema for
    Shared Services
    workspace
    Essbase Admin Srvices
    Planning system Respostory
    Planning App's
    Calc manager
    and
    Finanical Reporting and web analysis
i have been just buildint the Instance n Oracle and making a schema for planning
    Please advise

FWIW, my own (ugh) install of 11.1.1.3 32 bit on my laptop (oh, soon I am going to jettison this thing and move to a 32 gig laptop) I am using SQL Server 2005. A client from last year used the same release of SS but I think the 64 bit release. John Booth's EPM AMI uses SQL Server Express 2008. IOW, yeah, you can totally use SQL Server with the EPM suite. I think that there is an exception for ERPi, but I could be wrong about that. For sure I used ODI 11.1.1.5 with SQL Server as I (gasp) set that up myself out on the cloud.

  • User exit for Previous and current system status  for  5 transactions

    Hi Experts
My Objective to capture the Previous and current status  of system status  for  5 transactions  in their  user exits .
    Description                                         Business Object               Transaction
Production Order operations              BUS2005                            CO02 to edit Production Order
Maintenance Orders                           BUS2007A                         IW32 to edit Plant Maintenance Order
INTernal   ORDER                                 BUS2075                          KO02 to edit Internal Order
WorkBreakdownStruct                       BUS2054                          CJ02 To edit the WBS element
Project System Network                      BUS2002                           CN22 to edit Network
    Activities Network
For Both Production order  and   Project System Network Activities Network    ,
    i got  User exit  "  EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001  "
But i am not sure whether we can use this or  not for our purpose . When i am changing status and  then saving ,  my  break point comes  to  EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001  .
But  can we capture   JEST   or   JCDS  related  data   in that  user  exit  or  How can we capture both Previous status  and Current ( Means New changed status ) . For eg  From Released   to   Technically complete   etc.
I want Status changed and its immedtiate previous status.
Do i need to check Exit  or BADI  before  and after Saving .
    Thanks
    Regards
    Gaurav

    Hi Himanshu
Many Thanks for the reply .
I also had some other processing needs to be done on the basis of those status. .
So do you have any idea or  how to find what all exits or BADIs  i can use for all of these 5 transactions , where
i can get data for JCDS ( or JEST ) .
    CO02 to edit Production Order
IW32 to edit Plant Maintenance Order
    KO02 to edit Internal Order
CJ02 To edit the WBS element
    CN22 to edit Network
    can we use   EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001  for    CO02  and  CN22   .

  • LabVIEW possibilities for Android and embedded systems

    Dear Sir or Madam,
We are building some test environments based on your software and now we have came into discussions about future possibilities with LabVIEW. As there is a lot of information available we are getting a little bit confused about what we can do and what not with our current software. Now we own the "LabVIEW full development System for Windows" and we are interested in analysing the possibility of buying your application builder. The problem is that we would like to address, at least, two different issues with LabVIEW:
1st: we want to build controllers and self executable applications that work in Windows, Linux, MAC and Android. I've read many possibilities on the internet about LabVIEW but I'm not sure about what systems are officially supported, so: Is it possible to build Apps for these three systems from the Windows App Builder? Is there support for Android? Do Linux Apps run with Android?
2nd: The second issue is to embed LabVIEW into small microcontrollers to deploy our custom System managers and controllers. Is this possible? I've seen the ARM toolkit but I am not sure about what functionality of LabVIEW is available there. Can all the functions be used? Can it be customized to any device that is ARM? Is it possible to port to non-ARM devices or DSPs???
    Thanks in advance.

You would probably be better off talking to your local NI rep.  Clicking the contact NI tab at the top of your browser would be a good place to start if you do not know your local rep.

  • Service product replication for test and developement system

    Hi Experts,
In our scanario service product is created in production system and later manually created in test and developement system.
Is there is any standard function module avilable to replicate the product master data into test and developement system
Or Is it possible to use the middleware functionallity to replicate the service product details.
    Please advice on this issue.
    Thanks,

You can use the FindFile method in the TS API:
    FindFile Method
    Syntax
    Engine.FindFile ( fileToFind, absolutePath, userCancelled, promptOption = FindFile_PromptHonorUserPreference, srchListOption = FindFile_AddDirToSrchList_Ask, isCommand = False, [currentSequenceFile])
The function itself returns a boolean which indicates if the file exists or not.
Then just use a Call Executable step to run command line string to delete the file.
    Hope this helps!

  • CRM TPM Database Sizing for CRM and BW

    All,
I am currently sizing for a TPM implementation and have a couple of questions concerning storage capacity for CRM and BW.  I have reviewed and created an Excel spreadsheet based on the SAP Sizing Guide for CRM-TPM but I am coming up short in a couple areas.
Here is the document Link: [https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=011000358700000711312004E]
    1.  Is there a storage sizing guide for BW or what has worked for the community to estimate?
    2.  Is the sizing guide for CRM/TPM correct (see below example)?
    3.  What has worked for CRM/TPM database sizing from the community?
I have a question about section 3.3.3 Disk Sizing in CRM.  If the disk sizing is based on per promotion (for the condition generation process), why is there a multiplication factor for PARTNERS?  I donu2019t believe we would have more than 1 or 2 partners per promotion.
I did some quick math with some example numbers and came up with about 2.9TB for the CRM database.  See below for additional info based on the equation in section 3.3.3.
    Part 1
    20,000 Promotions
    10 Products
    1000 Partners
    .87TB
    Part 2
    10,000 Promotions
    47 Products
    1000 Partners
    2.04TB
Is this accurate for sizing the condition generation process for the CRM database?  I am failing to understand why, for example, the 20,000 promotions would have 1,200 partners included in the base equation for each promotion.
I appreciate any time you could spend in responding to my question.
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Thanks Steve for you reply.
I am looking for a Sizing sheet from SAP TPM Perspective. If you could share your  Excel spreadsheet based on the SAP Sizing Guide for CRM-TPM .
