Database to XI to CRM scenario

Hi Experts
Plz help me out in this scenario.......................
Sender side     -> XI    -> CRM
database
1) In database if i have updated any of the one available record then how the XI will come to know that i have updated which record. what we can use to find out this.
2) How XI will fetch that updated record and then send it to CRM database.
what will be the flow of scenario and what all interface i have to develop and what adapter i have to use?
Thanks in Advance

Hi,
>1) In database if i have updated any of the one available record then how the XI will come to know that i have updated which record. what we can use to find out this.
you can use jdbc adapter to select new records from the db
>2) How XI will fetch that updated record and then send it to CRM database.
XI can send to CRM with the use of IDOCs - in most cases with XI this is
the best way to communicate with CRM

  • Attaching Target Groups in the Webshop admin in R3/CRM scenario

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to attach Target Group in the marketing tab in the webshop admin.
We have R/3 and CRM in landscape. I have created a target group in CRM Backend.
Now when i go to webshop admin and try to assign this target group in the Marketing tab, i get an error while doing a search for the traget groups. The error message says "No authorization for search help at CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG". Now this CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG is not a tcode in CRM nor ECC. I am not able to get any clue on this item CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG.
So i tried to bypass this error message at search help, by directly assigning the target group in the webshop admin.
But by doing so we when we try to login to the Webhsop, we get an error "An error occured while webshop was loaded, The target group does not exist or is inactive "
So then we remove the Target group from the webshop admin, and then we are able to login to the webshop. But in all this we are not able to use our target group inside our webshop.
We are not getting any clue to this problem. Please advice how can we use target groups inside the webshop in the R3/CRM scenario. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Easwar,
    thanks for your prompr response.
We were able to get rid of the first error by getting the required authorizations to our role.
But now when we have assigned the target group in the marketing tab of the catalog in the webshop admin.
Then when we login to the webshop and when we select that catalog for opening, i throws two errors
" An erro occured the while shop <catalog name> was loaded "  ,
" The target group does not exist or is inactive "
This target group is active in CRM backend. We cross checked this in the Segment Builder. There we selected the target group and when we did "Open Traget Group" , we are able to see the members within target group and we are able to do a "Count" on this target group. Also we are able to create product association rules using this target group. This shows that our target group is Active. So we are confused with the error message.
When we remove this target group from webshop admin, then we are able to open the catalog in the webshop.
Are we missing something regarding the activation of Target groups ? Are there any other settings which we are missing ?

  • For R/3 to CRM Scenario ,creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is in Target

In R/3 to CRM scenario it is ok creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is Target system.if it is possible it is Client Proxy.it is correct or not

    Hi,
Client Proxy. When you need to create Proxy for your Sender system then the proxy is generated on the client side and the Class created in Proxy generation is called in a report/FM etc.
Server proxy. The server proxy is created when you are sending the data from SAP XI to the receiving system.
The generation of proxy in both the cases happens on the sender or the receiver system.

This is weird error. Not exactly what it says, Check your ABAP code for any transformation errors such as date format or exception catching for statements like unpack or pack.
Do debug your ABAP code with the test XML that is causing the problem.

  • Error in Database installation while installing CRM 4.0 on Linux

    Hello,
We are installing CRM 4.0 on LINUX platform,
We have successfully installed the Central Instance, but while installing the database instance, when we start the OUI the installation starts and hangs at 0%
<b>installing java runtime environment    Link pending.......</b>
We have already installed the jre as per the SAP manual.
Also, the JAVA_HOME environment variables is also set to java/.../bin
As such there are no error logs for my problem,
Could you please suggest me some appropriate soln.

    Hi Vasu,
ORA-4031... for 99%  of cases this means one thing:
the database instance is not configured correctly.
    To proceed, do the following:
    1. get rid of init.ora (it's not used at all)
    2. make sure that the init<sid>.ora file is really used.
If there is a spfile in the %ORACLE_HOME&/database folder
       then this will be used.
    3. With your  configured shared pool of 85MB your memory should really not be filled up - anyhow it's really too small for a SAP system!
Thus I'd check how much memory the other sga-area members (buffer cache, large pool, streams pool, java pool...) take up.
Remember on Windows 32 Bit, everything runs in one single process that can only allocate 2GB (or 3GB if you've set this option).
    See note:

  • Database size in Oracle CRM On Demand

Can anyone tell me what the database limitations on On Demand are? How many records can one store?
    Many thanks in advance
    JC

    Hi everyone...
I am copying a reply I got from Oracle about Storage Limits. This will be helpfull to all of us.
We recently instituted a new CRM On Demand storage policy. This new policy is significantly more generous than the former policy at no additional charge. We used to offer 30MB pooled storage for Multi-tenant, 45MB for Single-Tenant Standard Edition, and 60MB for Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition (this space covered standard records and attachments).
Customers often think in terms of records and not MB, especially when they are considering importing x million contacts or other records. An average record uses 2KB. We have made the following changes:
    Multi-tenant.30MB or 15,000 records. Added 100MB per user for attachments;
    Single-Tenant Standard edition. 45MB or 22,500 records. Added 150MB per user for attachments;
    Single-Tenant Enterprise edition. More than doubled the 60MB or 70,000 records. Added 200MB per user for attachments;
In summary the new limits are:
Storage Allotment by CRM OD Offering
    Records per User
Megabytes for Attachments to Records per User
    Multi-Tenant
    15,000
    100
    Single-Tenant Standard Edition
    22,500
    150
    Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition
    70,000
    200
    Partner Relationship Management
    5,000
    25
    Additional Purchase: 10USD per month
    50,000
    300
    A couple of additional notes:
When counting records we are only counting primary data records. Meta-data and configuration records don’t count against the limit. Similarly all of the records stored in the analytics data warehouse, back-up, etc. don’t count against the limit.
Usage is pooled as before (i.e. a customer receives the amount of storage per subscriber as listed above multiplied by numbe! r of subscribers).
You can view the number of users for a Company on the Company Profile in the Licensed Users field.
We have added a number of usage reports in R18 but they are focused on users logged in, what objects they are accessing, and configuration information. They do not include storage yet. Similar to ! our current policy, we will not be actively enforcing this limit against all customers. Instead, we look for customers egregiously abusing the storage limit and notify them so they can correct their usage. These limits should also provide a good guideline when customers are deciding how much data to import (i.e. it may be better to clean the data first and import the million records you really need rather than importing all 10 million records when 90% of them are redundant or obsolete).

  • Help with Webservice to CRM scenario

    Hey guys
i have a scenario in which users will buy some atricles through a website(shopping cart) and that info has to be posted to a CRM system.its an async scenario
do i need to know about BDOC's too or only knowledge of IDOC should be ok.
i m developing my interface as SOAP-XI-IDOC,is this right?
also which IDOC will be most suitable to implement this type of scenario
    thanx
    ahmad

    Hi Ahmad,
<i>do i need to know about BDOC's too or only knowledge of IDOC should be ok.</i> - see this thing you will have to see that whether the data you want to post in CRM is having an IDOC or a BDOC for it.........XI doesn't deal with BDOC.....so if you have a BDOC for it in CRM, then in XI you will do SOAP-XI-IDOC scenario and in CRM you will map this IDOC to your CRM BDOC.

  • ISU-CRM scenario

    Hi Guru's
This is regarding  CRM ISU integration. We are using CRM for the new connection request processing. The scenario is as follows
Customer comes with all the required document and submits the doc to the service centers, physically, after receiveing the documents agent create the customer. The documents then forwarded to various department like inspection, maintainance, engg, accounts and finally the connection is approved...
can any one suggest or guide how this scenario can be mapped with SPA CRM..i was thinking of ...account creation then business agreement..contract and move in,but need clarity on how to deal with the other department thru which the document flows for approval..
Also which biz  Role i need to use for this.
    regards
    Hrishikesh

    Hi Xiaoming Cai,
We run the report with GEN_FROM '01.01.1000'  but still there is no result. We already check the table EVER with the report selection parameter and with this selection parameter there is around 100.000 data.
When we checked the report source we see that the table epdprod is checked before calling the function 'ISU_CRM_GET_DUMMY_PRODUCT'.
    select product crm_product prodid crm_product_guid
       from epdprod
into corresponding fields of table tl_epdprod
                              where
                                crm_product  ne ' '     and
                                crm_template  = 'X'     and
                                validfrom   <= sy-datum and
                                ( crm_actstat = l_status  or
                                  crm_actstat = 'F'   )   and
                                validto     >= sy-datum.
Does it mean that we have to define template to define the dummy product.
Thank you very much for your coorparation...

  • Is there a way to sync an existing database with Adobe's CRM database?

I have a locally hosted database of customers, and I would like to sync this with the database hosted on Business Catalyst without having to manually import/export a list of customers. Is there currently a way to do this?

    Hi,
Look into APIs as a possible solution to this...
"This system has an extensive API (application programmming interface) framework which you can use to communicate, synchronize, or undertake an action with your own external application. For example if you are an online shop and you want to adjust inventory levels in real-time as shoppers buy from you, then you can simply utilize this API. Other uses of the API include the ability to synchronize your entire customer database on this system with that located at your office. The API framework will in fact give you the freedom to undertake all sorts of tasks that are specific to the success of your business"

  • Will Oracle look into the database buffer cache in this scenario?

    hi guys,
say I have a table with a million rows, there are no indexes on it, and I did a
    select * from t where t.id=522,000.
About 5 minutes later (while that particular (call it blockA) block is still in the database buffer cache) I do a
    select * from t where t.id >400,000 and t.id < 600,000
Would Oracle still pick blockA up from the database buffer cache? if so, how? How would it know that that block is part of our query?
    thanks

Without an Index, Oracle would have done a FullTableScan on the first query. The blocks would be very quickly aged out of the buffer cache as they have been retrieved for an FTS on a large table. It is unlikely that block 'A' would be in the buffer_cache after 5minutes.
However, assuming that block 'A' is still in the buffer_cache, how does Oracle know that records for the second query are in block 'A' ? It doesn't. Oracle will attempt another FullTableScan for the second query -- even if, as in the first query -- the resultset returned is only 1 row.
Now, if the table were indexed and rows were being retrieved via the Index, Oracle would use the ROWID to get the "DBA" (DataBlockAddress) and get the hash value of that DBA to identify the 'cache buffers chain' where the block is likely to be found. Oracle will make a read request if the block is not present in the expected location.

  • Badi or User Exit for Multi CRM scenario?

    Hi Gurus,
we have two different CRM systems connected to one ECC system. We are stucking with number ranges for Sales Orders. In fact we are thinking to set for the two CRM systems the same internal number range and then implement a Badi or an User Exit which, by an RFC connection, checks on the other system what is the last number assigned to an order.
Is there anyone of you who as just implemented something like this?
    Thanks a lot,
