Database update through ADOBE Form

Hi Gurus,
I am working on Adobe form and this is an interactive form. when I click on save button on the form it should update a Z Table. Can anybody help me in this regard.

Hello.
You will need two things (not related with the adobe itself):
Firsrt create a RFC connection between ADS system (SAP XI, for example) and R/3 system, called, for this example, "rfc".
Then create a FM, alowing RFC call, in R/3 system. This FM is the one that will update your ztable.
In your adobe form, you must use method OnSubmit. This method is in an event that is triggered by submit button.
In this method, call you FM, passing the parameters (remember to use CALL FUNCTION zfunc DESTINATION rfc.
And that's all. This way you will achieve your goal.

Updating PCR Adobe Forms to Layout Type ZCI

I came across OSS Note: 956074 and am trying to determine if the PCR Adobe Forms we are using need to be update to layout type ZCI.
When I execute the program in SA38: FP_CHK_REPORT and provide ISR_FORM_SPSE as the form I am getting a logon box to AdobeDocumentServices/Config. I provide the ADSUser ID and Password that has been created. After attempting to logon three times, I received the following error message.
ADS: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoa(ADS)
Does anyone have suggestions for troubleshooting this error message?

No the password for ADSUser has not expired and the setting is checked so that it won't expire and does not have to be changed.
I do realize that all the forms need to be updated. When I try to manually change the layout type to ZCI for each form through SFP I am not able to reactivate the forms. Printing through Adobe form

Hi All,
I have requirement in UI, where I need to print the sales contract on click of a button. Adobe form should be used. Which standard method should I call to use adobe form for print preview ? Any idea would help.

Please tell me which batch RFC's I have to use for read and update of a table.
Please also tell me how to find out a batch RFC for a particular table.Is there any way to find it out like BAPI.

Ya...Java APP sents data to XI and XI needs to insert the data into the database.
Before the next round of data is sent by the Application, Xi should sent back info on the status of the records.
Is this what you want?
This will be like I have pointed earlier possible without a BPM. But, make the call from the sending application Synchronous. And then map the JDBC response to the calling aplication.
But this updation is only possible through XI.
If i got the requirement wrong can you let me know in more detail, what is it that you are trying?

I've created a form for an air charter company. I need it to link to several different databases. Can Adobe Forms do this?

It used to be possible with forms created in Acrobat as well, but Adobe

How to use MICR fonts in Adobe forms (webdynpro java

Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to print some MICR codes (for checks) through Adobe Forms.
I have installed some true type MICR fonts in windows and Adobe Font Manager (in ADS) as well.
It is visible in the Adobe Form design time (Font palette) and when I use the font for text, it is visible in preview too. But when I run the web dynpro application, in the online form it is converted into Standard font (Times new Roman).
Is there anyway to handle this issue.
Please let me know.

Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Application basic settings -> Set output
Actions and output Format -> Define Actions for Document output.
maintain the action defentions for all purchasing documents for which the
new forms are intended to be used in the above mentioned customizing.
Save the customizing
Step 2:
Goto transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Supplier relationship
Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Application basic settings -> Set output
Actions and output Format -> Condition-Dependent Document Output.
maintain the conditions for output for all purchasing documents for which

Need to configure output type for adobe form

I need to configure output type for Adobe Form thru NACE. What would be print program and how do I call my form from that program? and, what would be the FORM routine for that form in NACE?

Hi,
Just before few weeks we did this task.
Say for example if you want to print PO details through ADOBE form instead of normal sapscript layout or standard MEDRUCK, you can follow the following steps.
1. Design the form in SFP tcode, by passing the necessary inputs through form interface.
2. Then use tcode tcode NACE and select EF as application and click output types button on the application tool bar. Select NEU output type and double click processing routines on left side.
3. Then, in the right side of the screen we can see the calling program and the form (may be sapscript or smartform) whatever used.
4. For form names we have two options in NACE tcode.
One is Form and the otherone is PDF/Smartform Form. If you are using adobe form give your form name under PDF/Smartform and also select PDF under the type option in the same screen.
This worked perfectly for us. But pass the required parameters to the form from the routine used in standard program.

I currently give printed question papers to my students. As the adobe captivate is most suitable for quiz creation, is it possible to distribute the quiz created in the adobe captivate through adobe form central and collect the answers given by the students.

There is a web viewer but there is no way to allow anyone to download the folios from your website.
You might want to look into Fixed Layout EPUB for that.

In Adobe forms - the space between items more

Hi Experts,
While displaying the ouput through adobe forms , the space between the items is more.
Please suggest me how to reduce the blanklines inbetween the items.
Even I made the subform content as 'FLOWED' and also in context for some fields i added condition if TB_ITEM-TEXT NE space ..
I tried by Events with scripts as,
if ( $.rawValue eq null )
then
$.presence = "hidden";
endif
still space between the items is not reduced. Please help me out from this.

In print program by using read text function module am capturing item texts. If item text exists am setting flag .
with that flag, in adobe form in context am checking condition if flag field not equal to space then it will enter for item text field.
even after this..item texts not exists but in the output spaces are not truncated.

My output is like this :
In table am dispalying matnr, desciption, unit of measure , quantity , amount ....

in the above format 10 and 20 are line items.
inbetween this line items ab, abc are the two text fields which displaying material Sales text and Itercompnay text.
if items texts not exist,
I want output should get displayed as like this,

20 22447   VALVE     PC 20 30,000
inbetween 10 and 20 spaces should be truncated if those fields value is empty.
In subform Pallets -> Object -> Subform, alreday its 'Flowed' and Flow direction as 'Western Text'.

How can I use adobe forms to force payment (with PayPal) to ensure payment before registration? Or is this an issue with PayPal?

I am using adobe forms to create a registration form for a workshop that I am holding. It is a $10 charge to attend however I am having difficulties ensuring the payment goes through before the participant is put on the registration list. Is this something I can fix through adobe forms or should I be going through PayPal to fix the issue?

Adobe Forms - Table control data Saved in Database table through Web Dynpro

Hi Gaurabh,
For interactive form you have to check the property DisplayType = native and PdfSource should be a Context Attribute of type 'Xstring'.
For data retrieval, create a NODE and have all the required attributes within that node of AOBE form.
Fetch the data in WDDOINIT.
Also check, that the offline senario for this form is working.
