Datacopy command copied [0] source data blocks to [1073] target data blocks

Hi,
When I ran this particular script, datacopy command executed successfully but the values did not copied (Plan1 has values). Can you please suggest.
Datacopy command copied [0] source data blocks to [10736] target data blocks
SET UPDATECALC OFF;
SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ ON;
FIX("")
DATACOPY "Plan1" TO "Plan2";
EndFIX
Thanks, UB

FIX("")
DATACOPY "Plan1" TO "Plan2";
EndFIX^^^Did you mean to have your FIX statement blank?
FWIW, you don't need the CREATEBLOCKONEQ setting at all for the purposes of the DATACOPY.
I'm a little puzzled by the log file message -- 0 blocks to 1073 (or is it 10736?). That seems somewhat unlikely -- how could you copy nothing to something. Unless it is somehow triggered by the CREATEBLOCKONEQ setting but I don't believe that has any impact beyond block creation in formulas.
Do you see an actual increase in the number of blocks in database statistics?

  • DATACOPY Command 6.5.1

We are migrating from 6.1.2 to 6.5.1. We have a calc script running multiple DATACOPY commands (moving data from reported to curreported). The DATACOPY command is not moving data in 6.5.1. The log file reads: Datacopy command copied [0] source data blocks to [154] target data blocks. This calc script works fine in 6.1.2. Any ideas?

So all you are trying to say here is that it is better to migrate the whole setup from Unix to NT. For better performnace of both serial and parallel calc.

  • Copy the JDBC data sources to another weblogic domain?!

we have a weblogic domain that has around 20 JDBC data sources
is there an easy way to copy the JDBC data sources to another weblogic domain?!

You can make a WLST script that creates the datasource(s) and target it to whatever servers/clusters you like,
but as implemented, for security reasons, certain aspects of the datasources themselves are encrypted to
operate only in their originating environment, so for instance, you cannot inadvertently email access to the
company's DBMS to your new friend in Nigeria.

  • DATACOPY command takes long time

    Hi All,
I am executing a calc script with only a DATACOPY command and it takes extraordinary time to complete.
I have also added the below setting to the Essbase.cfg file
    SET COPYMISSINGBLOCK OFF
as it allows DATACOPY to avoid creating #MISSING blocks during the copy of data from a dense dimension.
But even then it takes a long time to execute.
Can anyone help me on the above.
    Thanks in advance,
    Raja

Syntax to write any setiing in Essbase.cfg is COPYMISSINGBLOCK OFF and if yoiu want set it in CALC script then use Set COPYMISSINGBLOCK OFF.
Also don't forget to restart Essbase server once change any setting in Essbase.cfg to make this change in effect.

  • Datacopy command

Does the datacopy command (used in a calc script) copy all data cells from the source member to the target member?E.g.You have a level zero sparse member (lets call it A) that contains data and this member is now going to become a level one member with two new children (lets call them B and C). Its data (meaning the data of member A) needs to be transferred to new level zero member B. Will the datacopy command achieve this (meaning will it copy every single data record combination that contains member A into member B)? Does anything else need to be done to complete the transfer of data? Thanks

I assume you're doing something like:DATACOPY "A" TO "B";In which case all combinations of data against A will be copied to B. Note that adding a fix around the datacopy will restrict which data from other dimensions will be copied, e.g:FIX("Jan 2003") DATACOPY "A" TO "B";ENDFIXWill only copy "Jan 2003" data from A to B.JC

  • Creation of DME medium FZ205 There is no source data found

We are executing payment runs using F110 and then creating data medium - a file to send to the bank.
In the variant for the program I am putting C:\ however when I have several users executing payment runs at the same time, the data medium is not creating and I am getting the error message that the source data cannot be found
Can anyone help me with this issue - should I leave the file name as blank?
    Thanks
    Liz

    Hello,
In order to avoid FZ205 please review your selection parameters and F1 help for the print program when creating the file:
    1. If you are taking the Output to file system:
If required, the file can be written to the file system. The created file can be copied to a PC using data medium exchange management. You should be looking for downloaded files here, since the data carrier is not managed within the SAP system, but is already stored in the file system by the payment medium program. The file name should be defined by the user. You should make sure that existing files with the same name have already been processed, because they will be overwritten.
Note:If a file cannot be found using the data medium exchange management the reason could be that the directory that was written to at the start of the payment medium program (in background processing, for example) cannot be read online.
You should then select a directory which can be recorded and read by several different computers. Due to the problems described above and the resulting lack of data security, we advise against writing to the file system. This method is only beneficial if the data carrier file is taken from the file system by an external program, to be transferred to the bank.
    2. If you are taking Output into TemSe:
If required, the file created can be stored within the SAP System(store in the TemSe and not in the file system),thus protecting it from unauthorized external access. You can download the file into the user's file system via the DME manager. The name of the file to be created during the download can be determined when running the payment medium program: the contents of the
file name parameter are stored in the management data and defaulted when running the download.
Please check the corresponding files in the DME administration for all files and check if the output medium 'File-System' has been
chosen, that means output medium '0'. In order to use the TemSe you have to use the output medium '1'. Furthermore see if the PC-file- paths, like c:\filename.DAT, instead of application file names. The FDTA has difficulties to find these files, especially by using 2 application servers.
To avoid problems with the files SAP recommends you to use the TemSe   with output medium '1', or the file system with output
medium '0'. TemSe is always a better option.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Suresh Jayanthi.

  • Problem with copying and pasting text blocks in Fireworks CS5

Until recently when I copied and pasted a text block in Fireworks CS5, the block would retain all formatting applied to the copied text block, font, size, color, etc. Now, the pasted block reverts to some default setting. Oddly, if I copy multiple text blocks, the formatting is retained as expected, but not if I copy a single text block. I cannot find a preference that affects this, and I cannot figure out what might have changed. The current behaviour is definitely not desired, and is dramatically affecting my efficiency. Anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas how to correct this? Thanks.

Sure, thanks for replying so quickly. My workflow is simple. My problem is limited to copying and pasting within Fireworks. I typically select an entire block with the main selection arrow but I sometimes use this one too depending on the context. I usually just use the keyboard CTRL-C then CTRL-V to paste. Previously (and I have been using FW for years, it's always been the same) it would paste an identical text block directly over the top of the copied one, and it looked exactly the same, same font, same color, etc. Now, it pastes a new block in the center of the document and all the formatting has reverted to what I guess is the default, in this case Myriad Pro 12pt. The behavior is the same no matter which arrow I use to select the text block. I tried Edit>Copy and Edit>Paste, the effect was the same. The Duplicate function seems to work as desired, but I had never noticed or tried that command before reading your post. Using the keyboard to copy/paste is such an ingrained habit I'd much prefer to continue using it as I always have instead of trying to retrain myself. (I'm old, retraining is hard!)
    (Selected block)
    (pasted block)
Most often I copy and paste directly on the canvas, but occasionally will do it within the layers panel. Both now have the same undesired effect. I also tried creating a new document to see if it was a corruption in my current file, but the issue persisted to the new document as well.
    Thanks.

  • What is the difference between copy requirement and data transfer routines

    Hi Experts,
I am writing a copy control routine for maintainence quote
from sales quote.Where do i have to write it in VOFM?
Is it in copying requirements or data transfer.
Actually according to the business all the line items from the sales quote are copied
into the maintainence quote and additional line items are added into maintainence quote
and the line items copied from the source document are linked to the two newly added
    line items.
    Please advise.
And is it possible to add the 2 new line items to the new document into VBAP at the runtime?
    Regards,
    Chitrasen

First of all you have to have a link between the sales documents. You can check it in Tcode: VTAA. if not, talk to your functional people. Try to make this equal to quote to order but instead make it quote to quote.
You need to put break point in copy requirement as well as in data transfers and check for your requirement.
Well, the code you want to put in will be the requirement
I am not sure if you can add 2 line items runtime into quote. this has to go through different checks and i dont think it is possible.
    Good luck

  • Need help in creating Knowledge module to aggregrate source data.

    Hi Guys,
I am new to ODI and I am trying to create a Knowledge module. I went through the docs relating to Knowledge modules and APIs, so hopefully did my home work, I still find writing KM to be very challenging for the scenario, I have.
    The following is my scenario.
I have two tables Employee and Department. Employee is the source and Department is the target. I need to sum salaries of all the employees belonging to a given department. And then insert the data into Department table.
Structure of the tables is as follows:
    Employee(Source Table name)
    Employee_id
    Salary
    Dept_id
    Department(Target table name)
    id
    total_salary
Both target and source are on the same server. The user of this KM would drag and drop both source and target tables into interface and then map the columns. In the above case, Dept_id to id and salary to total_salary and then use this IKM. And off-course the user would indicate what columns would be aggregated on and what would be used as group by. One way to tag that, would be to use those UD1,UD2 tags in target column properties. (If there is another way to tag a column to indicate a column to be used for aggregation and a given column to be used in group by during run time in source, please let me know)
I choose to write IKM for this.
The challenging part is that I am having hard time figuring out the columns of source table as to what column should be used as group by and what column to be aggregated on. Since the tags are defined on Target columns and not on source columns. So have to figure out the appropriate columns through the mapping at run time.
The following is what I am planning to write in (Insert new rows ) command. And the part where I need help is how to compose select statement.
    iinsert into <%=odiRef.getTable("L","TARG_NAME","A")%>
    <%=odiRef.getColList("", "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "((INS and !TRG) and REW)")%>
    <%=odiRef.getColList(",", "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "((INS and TRG) and REW)")%>
    Select
    source.column1,sum(source.column2) from <%=odiRef.getFrom()%> GROUP BY source.column1
    Thanks.

I did try as per your advise.
Filter is not making a difference. Irrespective of me adding a filter or not, ODI generates a sql that has GROUP BY , just by looking at SUM(SALARY).
Coming back to the main issue, this does do what I wanted to do. I was planning on using a custom KM. But I guess, this is as good as custom KM, since the work done in an interface (assuming a custom KM exists) by going through either route is the same, so I can live with this approach.
    Thanks for the help.

  • How do I autofill left to right (or copy/paste) from data that is up and down in another table?

I have source data that is in a table as a column, and I would like to have it autofilled (simply copy/paste if need be) into a row in a separate table.  Is there an easy way to do this without doing each cell individually?

Question asked and answered many times.
What you ask for is named "Transpose a row" or "Transpose a column".

  • ODI 11.1.1.6.4 - Interface failed at SnpsSqlUnload - Unload source data Step

    Hi Experts -
We are getting error during interface execution in ODI 11.1.1.6.4. We are unable to find the root cause.
Interface is using customized LKM (LKM SQL to Oracle (SQL*Loader). This LKM is basically connecting to SQLSERVER fetching required rows from the table and creating a LDR file. Post this data from LDR file is then populated in Stage Table (Oracle DB).
We are getting Error while connecting to SQLSERVER at step - Unload Source Data (It uses: SnpsSqlUnload command)
This step is connecting to SQLSERVER and LDR file also getting generated.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Andy

  • Copy Key figure data between two planning area with different storage bucket profile

    Hi,
I have a DP planning area ' PA1' with monthly storage bucket profile data view 'PA1M' ( monthly TBF) and I want to copy the data to another planning area 'PA2' whose storage bucket is weekly. This would need me to write a custom program which will split monthly to weekly and then populate 'PA2'.
However, In 'PA2', I created two data views 'PA2W' (with weekly time bucket profile) and 'PA2M' (with Monthly Time bucket profile). If I am able to copy the data from PA1 (PA1M) to PA2(PA2M), it will automatically splits monthly to weekly in PA2W.
So my question is if there exists a way I can copy key figure data from PA1M to PA2M? Any BAPI?

    Hi Rakesh,
You can use COPY/Version Management Function to do this.
Path: Demand Planning > Environment >Copy/ Version Management
The system takes into account only those periodicities that are common to both planning areas.
For example, if the data is saved in months in the source planning area (PA1) but in months and weeks in the target planning area (PA2)
the system copies to months in the target planning area and then Disaggregates the data to the storage buckets in accordance with the Time-based Disaggregation.
hope this wil help to understand the basic concept.

  • MRP Wizard  - Source data selection

Currently the MRP Wizard Source Data selection does not allow the selection of a single (or selected) Sales Order (SO).
Enabling such, would allow easy MRP planning around a specific order(s) received. (For instance an order is received for a task that is actually a complete project. Buying (and Production Orders) is done dedicated for this project. (And even stored separatly, by project.)
All sorts of work arounds exist - creating Forecasts from the Sales Order etc.... - which by the way is not very elegantly supported by the objects in the SDK either, so in the end, the missing link is to select the MRP Wizard source by SO.
By extension.... A Sales Order can be easily moved to a Delivery Note, via a Pick List (i.e the item is available off the shelf)
However a Sales Order cannot equally be moved to a Delivery Note via a Production Order (i.e the item has to be made) either via MRP Wizard, or manually. An easy "Copy To" (Production Order) extension would facilitate this process greatly.
Where multiple Production Orders are generated (say via the MRP Wizard) all from (one) Sales Order, can the (current for information only) Sales Order field on teh Production Order also be updated when the Production Order was generated by the MRP Wizard (or SDK for that matter)?
    Can this be considered?

  • Can I cut, copy and paste a block of text in PL/SQL Developer?

I have been using TextPad to put together SQL statements by using the cut, copy and pasting of BLOCKS of text.
    Example:
I copy the describe of a table, replace varchar, number, date will 10 spaces and then copy the column names in a block and paste it further down the TextPad.
Then I join the lines into one string, replace the spaces with commas
Then I insert in front of the column name the INSERT INTO table_name(
Then I get the values by copying from somewhere else and paste then in block text where they need to go. ETC, ETC.
    Thank you, Bill

In 2.0 you should be able to just type
    INSERT INTO emp(
and do multiple selections from code completion list of suggested emp columns (by holding ctrl or shift key). Same for "select" and "from" clauses (with optional auto aliasing).
