Date Picker edit HTML

Hi all,
I want to edit the HTML code of date picker item. How can I do that? In fact I want to remove the alt and title attributes, or replace their values.
Thanks in advance!

First of all your question does not give an clear idea or details!
There are two types of Date picker item in ApEx:
1) Date picker (classic): which opens as a different dialog box.
2) Date picker: this is the newer one based on jQuery and by default is created in ApEx 4.0
Coming to your question try this:
In the "HTML Form Element Attributes" of your date picker item enter the following
alt="" title="" or
alt="altvalue" title="titlevalue" in case you want to replace.

  • If Date Pick is future Date then Select List should get disabled

    Hi,
    I use Application Express 3.1.1.00.09 version.
    Item P320_LATEST_DLR_DATE_PROJECT which is Date Picker(DD-MON-RR), if the date selected is greater than system date then P320_LATEST_DLR_RATING_PROJECT which is Select List should get disabled.
    I tried in this manner:
    1. Javascript in the Page Header:
    <script>
    function dis_selectlist(pThis, pThat)
    if (pThis.value > 'SysDate')
    {$x(pThat).disabled = true;}
    else{$x(pThat).disabled = false;}
    </script>
    2. Date Picker(P320_LATEST_DLR_DATE_PROJECT) HTML Form Element Attribute:
    onchange="dis_selectlist(this,'P320_LATEST_DLR_RATING_PROJECT')"
    But it is not resulting in disabling of Select List Item.
    Can any one tell me if this is proper or any other method to get the result?
    Thanks,
    Priyanka.

  • Date picker field shows html code?

    I have a HTMLDB 2.0 app that I have ported to APEX 3.1. I have one field that is a date picker field which has a before regions computation on it that calculates an expiration date. For some reason, the text area shows the HTML code of the page, not the calculated date. No idea why. Anyone? TIA

    Can you show us on apex.oracle.com?

  • Restricting User Editing Date Picker Field Manually In Adobe Form

    Hi Experts,
                       I have an Date Picker field, which list down the calender to select date. But, along with that, it allows user to input any data manually. I want the user to select the date only from the calender and the user should not be allowed to edit the field manually. As option to do that ? I tried all available types and nothing seems to be fulfilling my requirement.
    Regards,
    Satheeshkumar.M

    Hi satheesh
    This is possible with a script in the EXIT event of the date field.
    It uses a regular expression to check the entered value for a specific pattern.
    Allows are dates in these way: [9|99] [.|/|-] [9|99] [.|/|-] [99|9999].
    Javascript code
    if (! this.formattedValue.match(/^\d{1,2}[\.\/\-]\d{1,2}[\.\/\-](\d{4}|\d{2})$/g)) {
              xfa.host.messageBox("Enter a correct date!", "Invalid Date", 0, 0);
             xfa.host.setFocus(this.somExpression);

  • Editable and Read-Only Date Picker have different display formats -- Bug?

    Hi all,
    This is a follow on to a previous posting about getting a Date Picker field to display read-only (Date Picker and Read-Only Condition works on LAST state of element
    Now past that hurdle, I have noticed something about the date picker field when it is displays read-only. Namely, the date format is not the format selected, nor does the read-only date format comply with the format mask in the source section.
    I've modified my small test app to work as intended in order to demonstrate this feature. I also opened it up so everyone can see it <blush>. You can find it here: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42513: Please navigate to the Update Project tab.
    When a project in Program One through Four is selected (which has a Spec Committed date), the date is displayed DD-MON-YY format. When a project the other Programs (which do not have Spec Committed dates at the time of this writing) are selected, and a date value selected with the date picker, the date is displayed in the anticipated DD-MON-YYYY format.
    Anyone else notice this, or have I just missed something obvious?
    Thanks,
    Petie

    I'm not sure why this happens but to work around it I added this before header process code to the page:
    execute immediate 'alter session set nls_date_format = ''DD-MON-YYYY''';

    Fred,
    Unfortunately, the answer is no to both of your questions.
    There is no way for you as a developer to control which date is highlighted in the popup calendar. It will always highlight the current day (if you're displaying a month that contains the current day). This is an interesting and prudent suggestion, and one which we'll consider for an upcoming release of HTML DB.
    With regards to your second point, that also is something we should consider for an upcoming release of HTML DB. This isn't impossible for us to do, it was just designed to work in the current fashion. If you look at the generated HTML for the Date Picker item on the page (not the popup calendar itself, but the page on which the item is rendered), we break out each element of the date value into discrete components. When we instead rely upon the user entered value, garbage or date values not conforming to the date format mask are easily entered. And the question is - what to do then? Raise an error immediately, still popup the calendar and show the current month, etc. So we've tried to be fairly strict about the date values and format masks for the popup calendar, hence the implementation you see.
    Thanks again for your comments.

  • Inserting a Value into otherTable using an App. Proc. from a Date Picker

    I'm trying to call an Application Process that will insert an Attribute of a Row, into another table, after selecting a date from a Date Picker cell.
    I don't know why this shouldn't be possible. I think I've got all of my "Ducks in a Row", so to speak,
    but the Value that is being inserted into the other table is this:.. [object HTMLTableCellElement]
    (Ultimately, I'd like my Application Process to include Page element values with the insert as well, but I'm trying to handle one problem at a time)
    Here's a list of all the steps I've covered:
    1. I've Created an Application Process, (popDevices). The Process Point is "On-Demand". The Type is "PL/SQL Anonymous Block".
    The Process is defined as such:
    BEGIN
    Insert into P_DEVICES
    NAME,
    IP_ADDRESS,
    MODEL
    ) values
    'Unassigned',
    'Unassigned',
    :P153_MODEL
    COMMIT;
    END;
    2. I've Included the Javascript in the Page HTML Header.
    The Javascript is written as such: (minus the tags)
    function popDevices(PART_NO)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=popDevices',0);
    get.add('P153_MODEL',PART_NO);
    gReturn = get.get();
    get = null;
    3. I've included the following in the "Element Attributes" field of the Date-Picker Item (Date_Delivered).
    The Region Type is "SQL Query (Updatable Report)"
    onChange="javascript:popDevices(PART_NO);"
    THE RESULTS
    A. A row does get inserted into the other (P_Devices) table,
    But the value of the Attribute from the Page Region is not valid.
    The Inserted value is this: [object HTMLTableCellElement]
    B. I have tried Every conceivable combination of characters in the "Element Attributes" field, such as:
    ...(PART_NO), (#PART_NO#), (||PART_NO||), (+PART_NO+)
    C. The Javascript in the Page HTML Header appears to be correct, since I have written it this same way for other applications without any problems.
    D. If this simply cannot be done by referencing the "onChange" Javascript from the "Element Attributes" field,
    Then can you help me to write the code into the Select statement of the region.
    Thanks for any help you can give me.
    -Gary

    This may not be the most direct approach to the solution. But, none the less, it is a solution.
    For those other novices, like myself, I hope this can be useful at some point in your development:
    MY DESIRED RESULT:
    A. To Insert into another tablle values derived from both; Page Item (i.e. P153_x) and Attributes of a Row in an Updatable Report from which I have selected the Date-Picker.
    B. I want the insert to occur automatically after the user Selects the date from the Date-Picker.
    SOLUTIONS:
    1. I usea Javascript prompt window to prompt for information and store the information in Pre-Created Page Items.
    This is the Javascript as I've entered it into the Page HTML Header region: (Minus the Tags)
    function received_javaprompt () {
    var Serial_Number = prompt("Enter the Serial Number");
    var Bldg_Id = prompt("Enter the Bldg_Id");
    var Clst_Id = prompt("Enter the Clst_Id");
    $x('P153_SERIAL_NO').value = Serial_Number;
    $x('P153_BLDG_ID').value = Bldg_Id;
    $x('P153_CLST_ID').value = Clst_Id;
    2. I needed to identify the (Manufacturer and Part_No) Column Attribute in the Row from which I selected the Date-Picker.
    A. To do this, I enumerated the Columns in the order they were listed in the Select Statement of the region (Click on the Region Definition Tab).
    B. Then (Click on the Report Attributes Tab). Count, In the numerical order which these columns are selected, ONLY the columns that are Editable.
    C. When I counted down as far as the Column I wanted to capture the value of, Then I made a mental note of that number and used it in the following (2) Javascripts (findMaker and findModel).
    3. findMaker (Minus the tags)
    function findMaker (pThis) {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr(pThis.id.indexOf('_')+1);
    var Maker = html_GetElement('f15_'+vRow).value
    $x('P153_MAKER').value = Maker;
    4. findModel (Minus the tags)
    function findModel (pThis) {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr(pThis.id.indexOf('_')+1);
    var Model = html_GetElement('f16_'+vRow).value
    $x('P153_MODEL').value = Model;
    5. I added one more Javascript, to the Page HTML Header, that references the Application Process which will Insert the values into the "Other" table:
    function popDevices(P153_SERIAL_NO,P153_BLDG_ID,P153_CLST_ID,P153_MAKER,P153_MODEL)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=popDevices',0);
    get.add('P153_SERIAL_NO',P153_SERIAL_NO);
    get.add('P153_BLDG_ID',P153_BLDG_ID);
    get.add('P153_CLST_ID',P153_CLST_ID);
    get.add('P153_MAKER',P153_MAKER);
    get.add('P153_MODEL',P153_MODEL);
    gReturn = get.get();
    get = null;
    6. I added the "onChange" process to the Element Attributes field of the Table item which utilizes the Date-Picker:
    A. Click on the Report Attributes Tab of the Region.
    B. Click on the Edit icon of the column which utilized the Date-Picker
    C. I added this "onChange" reference to the Element Attributes field, which is found in the Tabular Form section.
    onChange="javascript:received_javaprompt();findModel(this);findMaker(this);popDevices((P153_SERIAL_NO).value,(P153_BLDG_ID).value,(P153_CLST_ID).value,(P153_MAKER).value,(P153_MODEL).value);"
    7. The Application Process which inserts the collected data into the table is as follows:
    (Name= popDevices: Process Point= On-Demand: Type= PL/SQL Anonymous Block)
    BEGIN
    Insert into P_DEVICES
    BLDG_ID,
    CLST_ID,
    NAME,
    IP_ADDRESS,
    SERIAL_NO,
    MAKER,
    MODEL
    ) values
    :P153_BLDG_ID,
    :P153_CLST_ID,
    'Unassigned',
    'Unassigned',
    :P153_SERIAL_NO,
    :P153_MAKER,
    :P153_MODEL
    COMMIT;
    END;
    Well, I hope this may help someone else like me.
    I usually arrive at my solutions by getting help here on the Discussion Forum and also Google. Google inevitably points me to a previous Apex Discussion Forum session.

  • Select list and date picker on one line  -  is this a bug?

    I'm using: Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
    Is the following a bug? If so, how do I get it reported so it will be fixed in a future release of APEX? If not, how do I do it so it ends up the way I want?
    1. create blank page
    2. create html region
    3. create "select list" item (Begin On New Line - Yes, ...Field - Yes, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
    4. create date picker item (Begin On New Line - No, ...Field - No, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
    There will be other items displayed in more columns above what I just had you create above. I want the select list and the date picker to display next to each other on same line, so I placed date picker item on same line in same field as select list item.
    HOWEVER... the date picker ends up displayed under the select list item (kind of), instead of next to it on the same line.
    Here's what I get:
    ...................... [Select List Field] Date Picker Label
    Select List Label
    ...................... [Date Picker Field]
    Here's what I want:
    Select List Label [Select List Field] Date Picker Label [Date Picker Field]
    Thanks,

  • Date Picker BUG on APEX 4.2.1

    Hi all could you please open a ticket for the following bug.
    Reproducing the bug very simple.
    Apex specification :
    version 4.2.1.00.08
    I'm not using HTML 5 template but the classic "Blue and Tan" one.
    1) Create a page with date picker with mask (DD-MON-YYY HH24.MI).
    2) set as default value the SYSDATE using the PLSQL expression (not specifying the mask to_char()).
    3) Try to use it and you will see that the year shown is not the correct one but is something like 1911.
    I fixed using to_char(SYSDATE,'DD-MON-YYY HH24.MI') in the PLSQL expression.

    Hi Zere,
    one very important thing to remember when dealing with session state (the value of a page item) is that everything is stored as string.
    If you specify SYSDATE as your default expression, then the Oracle database will evaluate that as date data type, but as soon as it's stored in session state, the database will do an implicit data type conversion using the default format mask specified for your database session.
    That's why it works when you do the TO_CHAR with the explicit format mask.

  • Date Picker (Application Format Mask) YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI

    I am experience what appears to be a bug with the Date Picker (Application Format Mask) that is causing the "DD" portion of the format mask to be interpreted as "CC" (when using a YYYY-MM-DD Application format).
    Within "Application Builder", "Edit Attributes" I have defined a "Static Substitution Strings" with the required Substitution String of PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK and a Substitution Value of "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI" (without the quotes).
    When this is used within the application, and I select a date of "January 15, 2008 @ 23:14", the date picker gives me a date of "2008-01-20 23:14". If I were to change the Year to 1957, the date I get is "1957-01-19 23:14". Note that if the century is 20, no matter what day of the month I pick, I get DD=20. If the century is 19, the day of the month is always 19.
    I have also tested this with a format of YYYY-DDD HH24:MI. With this format too, the DDD gets set to the century portion of the year.
    DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI format does work, however this is not the format that my end users want to see. They want to see the format as "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI"
    If I change the PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK to "YY-MM-DD HH24:MI" and pick "Feb 8, 1977" I get "77-02-28" and if I pick "January 9, 1921" I get "21-01-31" which just happens to be the last day of the month in each of those case.
    So, something really weird is happen with the "Application Format Mask" Date Picker.
    Please note, that because of a known bug (relating to the translation of the Browser Language of "en-ca" to the propery NL_LANG of ENGLISH_CANADA) refer to
    HTMLDB - HOWTO Work with Dates
    I am executing the following code in my first "On Load - Before Header" and my first "On Submit - After Computations and Validations"
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT=''YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI''' ;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET NLS_SORT=''FRENCH''' ;
    Could you please investigate this problem.

    Paul,
    Thank you for the feedback and detailed reporting of this issue.
    This is a previously identified bug with the computation of the day component of the popup calendar.
    This correction will be available with the next HTML DB patch set and/or the release of HTML DB available later this year.
    Thanks again.
    Joel

    We are using SAP B1-2007 PL 42 and occurred following error.
    When I click the date picker in any form (window) [ex:-Sales Quotation, SO, etc....), it shows only 4 days of the week.
    It hides rest of 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in every month.
    But I can manually enter or scroll from arrow keys.
    Following is a screenshot of the error
    http://www.4shared.com/photo/_2xzM9Sq/Date_Error.html
    Would you please be able to assist us on this.

    Check [CPRF] table.
    Formid is '10000075' , Check width, VisInForm, ColId, UserSign fields.
    Our sample is ,
    select * from cprf  where formid = '10000075'  and usersign = 12
    So, results will be seen below.
    FormId                  ItemId                ColID               Width               VisInForm        VisualIndx ....
    10000075     10000013     10000000     0     N     0
    10000075     10000013     10000001     0     N     7
    10000075     10000013     10000003     51     Y     3
    10000075     10000013     10000005     51     Y     2
    10000075     10000013     10000007     51     Y     1
    10000075     10000013     10000009     0     N     6

    10000075     10000013     10000013     16     Y     4
    Next, We executed following query.
    UPDATE CPRF SET WIDTH = 22 , visinform = 'Y'
          where formid = '10000075'  and
                      colid in ( '10000007', '10000005', '10000003', '10000013', '10000011', '10000009','10000001' ) and
                       usersign = 12
    And, SAP Client exit, re log-on.

  • Classic Date Picker

    Good Morning,
    I am currently upgrading my application from 4.1 to 4.2. I use the Classic Date picker field and want to keep it.
    But the label is displaying everything on the screen. How do I make it stop?
    Label below:
    <b>Anticipated Resolution Date: </b><br>  <font color="#0000A0">(DD-MON-YYYY)</font>Upgrading to Apex 4.2
    Theme is old theme from 3.2 which 101 underlined.
    I also changed the theme to an updated one and it still displays all of the label code above on the screen. It doesn't display the code when I use the new date picker, but when you hover over it it will display everything. It didn't do this in prior versions of the application.
    Thanks,
    Mary

  • Windows like date picker

    I want to make a component that looks and works like the default windows date picker component. It looks like editable combobox and when the list drops down, it displays a calendar like component. I am using
    JCalendar (http://www.toedter.com/en/jcalendar/) for picking calendar date and want to combine it with JComboBox, using extended editor and render. I can not achieve the deisred effect, because the editor useble only when the list is not poped-up.
    Can anyone give advice or hint for the proper way, I can do this component.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards Nenko Ivanov.

    Well, there is a free framework (+ code) that allows you to build Java GUI applications with drop-down effects/styles. The code can be found at sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/glacier) or from the site of company that provides it (http://www.obsidiandynamics.com/glacier/index.html).
    The same company ( Obsidian Dynamics - http://www.obsidiandynamics.com) also provides software that allows you to build customised Calendar GUI (or date picker) with drop down or pop up styles. But unfortunately, the software is commercial =(.
